Nothing with the location but I had an issue with the length of time I needed the rental because the elevator at the Holyoke U-Haul was not working. I called to ask if there was anything that could be done to accommodate me because my schedule was severely impacted as a result and your mileage manager or rental manager was completely rude and dismissive. The people at the Northampton location were excellent but this mileage manager, I did not get his name, was a miserable human being who should not be doing that job. No reason whatsoever for him to act the way he did.Christian C.

The vehicle and service i eventually received was good. However, the vender at Sunset Motors were a huge frustration. I originally scheduled a mobile pick up at their location in Easthampton MA at 7am. When i arrived, the website wouldnt let me navigate and begin the process. Eventually i received a notice that the vehicle needs to be collected at 9am. I returned at 9am to discover that Sunset didnt even have the vehicle available. Service support rebooked my vehicle and i was sorted an hour later. I was very disappointed to learn i only received a $50 discount given the 3hours lost. I strongly recommend Uhaul to review Sunset Motors as i was very disappointed in their management.Daniel C.

Many people do not realize that they can rent a vehicle for a long distance oneway. I drive my work into Boston for the day and love the big trucks they are new, peppy and just what the DR ordered.Jessica F.
I have met already several times that U-Haul is trying to make money by cheating customers all the time. I spoke to people at some moving companies and they said that U-Hail is the most popular robber in USA. Let's analyze this particular case. I drove your truck on 12/12/21 18 miles ONLY. Any vehicle if it is not a 40' container carrier, or a plane, or a helicopter will not burn more than 1 gallon for this distance of 18 miles. Meanwhile knowing that U-Haul is a gangster in USA, I filled up about 3 gallons before returning the truck viz. for $10 and came to U-Haul in Northampton to return the truck. The dispatcher did not even want to check fuel level, saying that I will have the bill in 2-3 dates. In fact I received it 5 days later. I insisted on checking everything. She opened some devices in the cabin and said some strange numbers like 17/11 and 43/11. I asked her what the exact problem in gallons was. She said she has no idea. Finally you showed in your invoice that I owe you 5,9 gallons of gasoline. For this volume I could go by your truck from Northampton MA to Buffalo NY. The truck physically could not burn 5,9 gallons on 18 miles trip. And of course 5,9 gallons automatically increased taxes and surcharge. I said that I absolutely do not agree with fuel usage. She promised me that her manager will call me on Monday morning, but nobody did. It confirms again that people in U-Haul are liars no matter where they located. Then the dispatcher again wanted to escape, but I insisted that she must check the truck inside. We cleaned it before so it looked better than it was when came from the factory. But she did not tell me anything. I said that I absolutely do not agree with fuel usage. She promised me that her manager will call me on Monday morning, but nobody did. It confirms again that people in U-Haul are liars and crooks no matter where they are located. If you do not correct your invoice according to technical norms I will file a small claim at the court. One of my previous experience with U-Haul was also very bad. U-Haul charged me $33 for 5 blankets which I put in MOTHER shelf instead of leaving in the back of the truck and again dispatcher at that time did not want to check that everything was in good order sake.Ilya T.

I wanted to reserved my rental for 9am and the options on the website only gave me an option for 730 am the latest. So I chose this option and woke up early to make my reservation time and when I got there I couldn't not get my truck until 9 am. A little disappointed I wasted time and had to sit there until the store opened for an hour and a half. But once the store was open everything ran smooth and the girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Just wish the option for the correct time was there so I didn't waste my time.Stephen J.

I waited almost 30 mins to be checked in. The drivers side mirror on the vehicle was broken and it turned out upon return the employee â€œthought it had been fixed.â€ I had to pull over 4 times on the highway to adjust it which was a huge safety issue. Otherwise the equipment was fine and staff knowledgeable and helpful and friendly.Katherine K.

An unbelievable $70 "cleaning fee" was tacked on to the final invoice. trying to get through to someone to ask about it proved to be so time consuming I could not continue it. The vehicle did need cleaning, but 1st, I would assume you always clean vehicles between customers, and 2nd, $70 buck to clean a pickup truck?!! It seems like Uhaul's business model is to make their money on these bogus return charges. It is not good policy. I will not rent from them again if I can help it.Harry B.

I was erroneously charged for fuel (not yet resolved) even though I returned the truck with MORE gas than I was given. I should not have trusted the person to check in my truck when he got off the phone. I have written to dispute the charge and you have not yet gotten back to me. Come on UHaul. Do better!SHARON S.

There were a couple of things about the truck. It was very noisy, not the kind of noise that indicates mechanical issues, but more engine and road noise. Also, apiece of trim fell off of the driver's door, from next to the window, about where they used to have vent windows. Luckily it did not go under a pedal before I could put over and retrieve it. And the heavy plastic hose-like trim around one of the doors came off while I was getting in and almost tripped me. The people at the rental location were very helpful.Justin G.

This place was fine. I'm new to Western Mass and so am used to larger UHaul sites that have more services, but I guess this one serves Northampton well. They were fair in their accommodation for the leaking into the storage area of the truck. Still think I should not have been given a truck that had a leak!SHARON S.
Be sure to empty the trailer from the previous customer (dolly, handtruck, blankets). Show me the special latch instructions on the roll-up door to keep it from getting stuck. Add a sticker to the inside explaining the roll-up door mechanisms. Loved your super curteous, helpful staff otherwise.Christine O.

Im not happy at all. I paid double price to rent this 5x9 trailer so I could drop it off a bit (12miles) closer to me in Greenfield. It was a 24hr rental, but I brought it back the same day to the agreed upon location in Greenfield because according to their hours, they're closed at noon on Saturdays at the drop off location, I brought it by at 11am and they were closed. I did this because they're closed Sunday, so I went ahead and tried to bring it in ahead of the agreed upon rental. They charged me an extra $20 after hours fee on top of the already doubled fee? What? Why, how do they figure this was after hours? There was no explanation, just a charge to my card. I never mentioned the guy working in the Northampton location, zero personality, seemed annoyed, but whatever, I get it, maybe he hates his job. This was just the icing on this terrible experience though, no more Uhaul, I'll go to Home Depot next time, I'm finished. I also know that no human being will even see this review and it won't be responded to. It's not the 20 bucks, it's just the entire way this went down, from beginning to end, not a customer friendly experience and this is why these faceless monsters are failing. Graham HaywardGraham H.
