I have never picked up a truck or dropped off a truck here. They charged me for a truck that was returned in Lynn, MA, 17 days after it was returned. Someone in Lynn did not check the truck in properly. So Northampton billed me over a thousand dollars for the extra rental. The finally reversed it yesterday admitting they made a mistake, and now the just billed me again for it being 18 days over due! UHaul told me yesterday I had to take care of it at the store, even though I did no business with the store, ever. Now I am on hold waiting for someone at UHaul to answer the phone, probably to tell me I have to deal with it at "my" store. This is total BS! Now there is over $2300 dollars charged to my credit card in the last two days which can take up to a week to clear off of my credit card. AND I still have to get today's charges reversed to begin with! This is FRAUD and CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Change ownership/supervision. Owner ("Christopher Starr") was verbally abusive and created "local" policy rate rules that previous manager had never implemented and were in small print in contract and were/are not consistent with corporate policy rates. Mr. Starrs behavior was angry, disrespectful and generally adolescent and out of control. This is not someone who should be in the trenches of any business. He is a liability.

To improve: You can overhaul your phone reservation protocol and generally make your whole system less predatory. The Northampton location was great, friendly, courteous, etc. However, when I called to inquire about availability I got re-routed the national number and got someone who couldn't tell me anything I wanted to know but *did* want to get my credit card number to make a reservation that I was clear I didn't want yet. She then told me that when I went to the location they would just have me call back to make a reservation. Since that's patently absurd, it's a good thing that she was just lying -- I would be really bad if you guys actually did that. But clearly, U-Haul is pressuring its "customer service" reps to put pressure on potential customers to reserve. And guess what? It makes us dislike you.

When I got back to the store all the employees had quit . There was stuff everywhere & confusion. Customers had been waiting over an hour before anything was resolved. I’m still needing credit on my truck rental!

The sales associate was so helpful and did a great job representing a positive customer service experience I couldn’t be more pleased. I wish I had of looked at his name tag he was excellent!! Young man very curly reddish brown hair!

I picked up the truck and it had half a tank of gas and the window was covered in dead bugs that would not clean off even with a scrubber at the gas station. Also these trucks could really use a extra step to get in and out of. I'm six foot tall and found getting in and out a pain in the ass Feel sorry for short people.

I waited almost 5 hours for roadside assist. I waited 45 minutes to get a person who could organize what was needed. She was great. I was told a 60 minute wait. After 2 hours I found out the request had been canceld by the local roadside company when their truck broke down but no one realized this had happened. the next service said 60 minutes again and it was 2 hours. I initialted the call at 7:20 pm and my roadside assist came at midnight. Luckily I was not on the side of the road. Not a good service. All else was fine.

The online pickup process was excruciating. First the website did not work, and the online chat helper instructed me to download the UHaul app & start over. The app was difficult to navigate & the process took so long that my reservation actually expired! I phoned the manager of the location at 7am on a Sunday. He was very helpful. The customer service agent that I spoke with was also very polite & helpful, however, when I did finally log in all of my information, it took 15 minutes to approve my request. The entire process, which was promoted as being fast & easy, took over an hour. I was late for my appointment & very frustrated.

I will never rent another uhaul again or recommend it to anyone I know. This was the worst experience with awful service from your North Hampton location. We made it clear to the associate that we were moving back to Abington from north Hampton and they still gave us a one way ticket. They also charged us for double the moving blankets then we were given. Then our trailer had no lights and when we got to Abington they told us that one the trailer had been hooked up wrong which is a clear safety violation and two that we were going to be charged an additional $75 due to this being a in town rental. I am extremely disappointed with the response I then recieved from the north Hampton branch and have felt overall deceived and poorly treated from this company.

Not much. They (this is my second visit in two weeks 4 different employees but this applies to all of them) are efficient, polite and get you in and out quickly. They explain everything efficiently. Have recommended the location to my contractor and he has rented once already and will also go back
