The rate is very misleading. The 19.95 rate was closer to 80 bucks for a 4 hour in town move. I would have come out cheaper renting a pickup truck. $0.79 cents a mile is very steep!

The key drop box is confusing. Lift the lid and you can’t insert the large key. I didn’t know to drop it behind the flap! My teenager had to find that for me after we stood out there for 10 minutes

Could not get a receipt at checkout. Was told I would get a email but did not. The only email I received was showing I had missed a payment and was charged $15.00 late fee. Poor system/need receipt!

My truck wasn’t ready for my 24/7 rental. Good thing another office was still open! I had to call the hotline and get another truck arranged. The website kicked me off a few times trying to return the truck, but that could’ve been connection issues.

We asked if we would pick up the truck later than our 5:00p time on Friday, and was told "No problem, but we close at 8:00." Picked up at 7:00p and found my reservation was cancelled. He had to manually go in and do a new 2-day reservation, for which he accidentally put the return time at midnight the following night. I continued to receive texts and emails telling me my truck was due at midnight, but a phone call assured me that it wasn't due back until 5:00p Sunday. Inconvenient and frustrating. It would help if the renter was called or at least texted before a reservation is cancelled (regardless of what I was told verbally).

open at 7 am; I am waiting to see if the inconvenience policy that was explained to me will actually take place. If it does, then I will know that this Uhaul location at least cares about their customers. Thank the female supervisor for initially working things out with me.

The employee that helped me check out the truck in Pearl, MS (Hwy 80 E location) advised me I could add insurance coverage on the truck within 30 minutes of leaving the store. Later, another employee advised me that once I rented the vehicle I could not add insurance. Also, the same employee told me I could drop the truck off anywhere if I wasn’t sure where I would be close to. She said she would mark “customer not sure” and I could drop it off wherever. Once I returned the truck I was informed that I was at the wrong location. Once I called the 1800 Go UHAUL number, the lady on the phone was less than pleasant initially, but did say she would note the account and I could leave it at the Parkers location (419 E. Centeral Ave) in Wiggins, MS. However, the lady at the call center stated she knew the original employee that checked me out and said “I just can’t see her telling you that”. So, I felt as if she was calling me a liar. The gentlemen at Parker’s were extremely helpful! They were the only good thing about my UHAUL experience.

Give a paper copy of the contract and receipt. The e-copy was scrambled and could not be downloaded so I hand-copied the license, unit number, and address. I took photos of the 5X8 trailer. I understand the paperless concept but nothing is more reliable than a paper receipt.

The unit was dirty (rat droppings, rodent trap and oil/fluid on floor). Was not cleaned before unit was rented out so I’ve paid for a unit and not able to store anything until Monday.

The facilities were well-maintained and clean. However, this U-Haul DOES NOT honor reservations nor do they follow-through with things requested via phone. I do not recommend this location.

Eric Shirley should be removed from the company. He is robbing Uhaul. He will offer to take cash payments and not put a lock on your storage. He offered it to my boyfriend and I told him not to do it.
