Employees are not helpful, Act as if we are an inconvenience. this is my 3rd time renting from this location and each time no help of where they would like the trailer returned , no help hooking the trailer up. in general no employees to be found outside the office.

Bret F.I put 17 miles on the truck and I also put in $10 worth of gasoline. This is more than what I used. Despite this I was charged $15 additional for gasoline. Hardly fair.
Jon G.I am very angry at the service I just received at your tualatin valley location in Beaverton. I went to the counter and Brad immediately gave me attitude and said there was nothing he could do for me if I didn't have a reservation and there was absolutely no trucks available. I went on the website and was able to get a truck immediately and there was at least 3 on the lot. While I was waiting for my key I watched him give a guy the exact truck I was asking for less than 5 minutes later. The only reason I can think of is that he didn't give it to me because I am a female. I cannot believe how sexist and rude he was

Laura D.I would get 2 ratings. The staff inside at the counter would get excellent ratings; 5 stars. However, Sorvino, the outside staff member would most likely not even receive a single star, his customer service was worse than poor. I had come outside to start doing my inspection, and Sorvino was being very pushy to get me to back up my truck to the trailer. I told him that I needed to complete the equipment check-off, and again he was very pushy and told me that "he was busy." I told him that I was too, and that I had to complete the check-off prior to hitching up the trailer. After this, he walked off, trailer not hitched up. I proceeded inside to complain of Sorvino's poor customer service, and one of the gentlemen inside the store came out and helped me get the trailer hitched and be on my way. Next, on my return trip when I arrived, Sorvino was again outside, and was very short and rude about where to put the trailer at. After I had parked the trailer, I tried asking him if he needed my paperwork, and his rude response of "you'll get your receipt" and waved his hand off "basically telling me to leave."

He snatched the keys that the lobby service agent gave me Out from my hand, and the lobby had to come out and tell him it was in fact my vehicle that I reserved. So rude and disrespectful.

Dennis T.The truck blew a spark plug at just over 100 000 miles while I Was driving. The way the breakdown was handled was horrendous. I waited over 5 hours for the tow including 2 horses in the dark on the interstate. I need to hear from Uhaul how you are going to make this right. I also need to hear how you're going to change some policies so no one ever goes through that fiasco again. Thanks, Claire
Jennifer D.We had an auto transport with a low profile vehicle on it. Asked service tech for assistance and some wood to shim the tires for getting it of the trailer. No was basically the answer...twice. Also, he was noticeable irritated that we would be even asking for assistance. The quality of customer service outside was terrible. Inside guy was great, outside guy terrible.

The employees noted that this happens every month end/ when it gets busy However after returning the equipment timely within business hours at 3 pm, I was charged a after hour service fee. Super sneaky as the receipt you have to go to another link. Check your receipts and if you are going on weekends/ month ends get there early as it took over 20 minutes to process one reservation.

Archimedes B.I ordered 2 self pick up u boxes on trailers. When we went to pick them up, the weather was very hot and we asked to pick up one that day and the second in a few days. When we returned for the 2nd one, the box assigned to us had already been moved into. Bob was very kind and thourough in explaining how we should proceed and obviously went above and beyond to straighten this out, because when we returned, a box and trailer were waiting for us. Kudos, Bob, your unfailingly positive and helpful customer service attitude was beacon of light in a difficult time for us. Thank you for your patience, persistence and professionalism!!

Then after I got my keys, started the car another person had the same vehicle reserved in his name and it did come up for Mobile check in. Which is explains why the system wouldn't let me and the person at the desk had to manually get me checked in.....I have used mobile app multiple times with UHaul over the last couple of years never had the problem so it was NOT an app glich it was a double booking.

I loved that the GM took my call after hours like a professional, and did exactly what he said he was going to do the next day. Wonderful and professional customer service. I was really pleased and impressed. He's the reason I would rent from U-Haul again.
Robert S.I have been overcharged for my UHAUL rental in a way that can only be the result of purposeful overcharge. I was supposed to be charged $61,96 and instead was charged $284.81. This includes: *Charge for 65 miles when I went 22 miles *Being charged with return receipt showing between 1/4 to 3/8 full when it was 1/2 to 5/8 full on dial *Being charged $134,26 for "blown or cut" tire when no tire damage was present when I left vehicle (employee insisted I just leave vehicle in line behind others waiting for check in or I would have disputed that onsite) This all resulted in $222,85 overcharge as my correct charge should have been $61.96, not $284.81. I'm going to dispute this with UHAUL customer service and report the charge as fraud on my credit card as there is no way the milage, gas dial and damage could have been accidentally notated incorrectly. I have a picture of the dashboard showing the gas dial, milage, MPG.
August H.Have a dedicated line for key pick up only those customers to use the online option for picking up their rental. There is no “skip the line“ when you are waiting for an associate to show your pick up code to so you can get the keys to your van. And I am not one of those rude people who is just gonna step in front of others and interrupt an associate while they are helping another customer. Have a dedicated line so the associate can see us standing there and he can choose to interrupt him or herself.

john M.1. Warn customers that it may take 45 minutes waiting in line to see the counter clerk, then another 15 minutes to get the trailer. I arrived at 10:10am for a 10:30 appointment. Didn't see clerk until about 10:45, and got trailer after 11am. 2. Allow online check-in customers to fix small errors on their reservation. Mine thought I had an RV, and wouldn't let finish online checkin. Actually, I had a mid-size SUV and had said so during the reservation portion. 3. Inside staff were working fast and explained process, but outside folks seemed to roam around and I had to look for them and explain what I needed.

Mary K.Gas gauge was short of 3/4 tank at pickup even though contract said 3/4. Apparently the van was sitting on unlevel ground at the store. As soon as I got out onto the street the discrepancy was apparent. I have rented there several times; employees are not especially friendly.

I rented a utility for 1 day which I understand it's a 24 hour period but returned it at 645 PM (before there closing time of 7pm) one of the employees on the ground told me to move from here and park over there while shouting and I can't see him to see where he wants me back with the trailer. and I was charged a $20 fee. I checked with the same female representative the second day and she said that she doesn't know why they charged me the amount but she refunded me the $20 . I don't know if I wanted to go back to that place again especially with employees on the edge of fighting with you.

Josh B.I would like to make a complaint about the uhaul store on 14225 sw tualatin valley hwy in Beaverton OR. I rented a 6x12 bumper pull trailer that was $35 per day and I rented it for 2 days. When i went to pick it up the wait was extremely long and the staff was rude, but I chalked it up to just a bad day. When I was done using the trailer and headed back to return it I realized I was driving right past the walker road uhaul and thought it would be way easier and with gas at $6,55 per gallon it would save me the gas and about a 15 min drive. I googled “uhaul phone†to check what the fee would be and decided if it was worth the extra time and gas to take it back to the original location. (503) 647-5447 was the number that popped up and I called. It was a uhaul placed and I asked what the fee would be to drop the little trailer at the walker location. I was told there was no fee and it was ok to drop it off there. I did with no problems, they were busy but they were friendly and got me unloaded quickly and with no problems. I received a invoice for $298,1! The original charge for the 2 days rental was only $69.90. When I called to find out what was the mistake 1st I was hung up on and then transferred to a call center. I was told that I didn't drop if off at the original store and they charged an extra $298,1 fee. I explained that I had called and was told by a uhaul employee that there was no fee. They looked into it and said it was a uhaul store but the employee must not have know the policies and was wrong. When I asked for the extra charge to be returned because I was given bad information by a uhaul employee and if I was told that I would be charged 6 times the daily rate I would have driven the extra 15 min and taken it back to the Beaverton location,that I would have done that. I was told there was nothing that they could do and I would have to talk to the lawyers to get my money returned I was understandably angry. Giving false information in order to charge a fee that is 6 time the rental cost is operating unethically and unmorally. I was not asking for the rental fee to be returned, just that they honored the information the uhaul employee gave me. This type of business practice should not be allowed

One employee in particular had a very bad attitude and was yelling at me and giving me dirty looks even days after. He always seems to be working out in the yard and was wearing a hat mustache and has darker skin. I reserved the outdoor biggest space specifically and received a confirmation that my reservation was made. When I arrive to my storage reservation with a fully packed 16 foot moving truck, I was informed that they only had the smallest unit available and that there was nothing I can't do. I spent $3 000 with Uhaul and I had to find other means to store half the remains of my belongings elsewhere. Thumbs down, the most terrible experience I have ever had as a customer at any business. I asked to speak with the general manager a few different days and no response. Suited.

Sandy C. | Expérience généraleThe staff has to blow the dust dirt and grime and gravel off the main drive through areas to get to my (previous) outside storage. These drive through areas dip in the middle to allow rainwater to go down the several drains. The staff blows from the lower center of the the drive through areas only thus blowing all the dust dirt and grit up to the entrances of the outside storage areas! I was always sweeping the dirt away from my storage entrance back down to the low center of the drain areas. Also the dirt and dust got under the entrance door that rolls up....carrying dirt and grit with it! I had to sweep the door off at the bottom and just inside the door ...esp. the sides where the dirt came in. Otherwise it was a great place, great staff and clean bathrooms!

Took two hours for them to let me in. Incredibly rude. Locked my wife out with her car still locked in the gate and refused to let her back in until a manager got involved. Apparently they entered the paperwork wrong into the computer and refused entry to my wife. Which is fine but let her have her car back at least. Your airway heights location is amazing. But this one is absolutely horrible.

Another employee yelling at me and blaring horn for blocking road when the uhauls at the center were the reason no one could get through. Continued to blare horn at me even though he could clearly see me moving my vehicle. I tried to apologize and he told me he would be going to the office to report me as NOT eligible to rent my storage unit at the facility for causing problems by blocking the drive lane. I wouldn't have been blocking the drive through lane if the uhaul vehicles were not parked everywhere. My storage unit is a drive up unit I should have been able to unload where I was. And the moment I realized he was honking at me I moved and apologized immediately his rude, unfriendly and unprofessional behavior I will not be recommending this facility to anyone.

Then had to wait 30+ minutes for my online reservation to be found and taken care of. Bob, who was helping me, didn't seem to mind helping everyone else but me. Honestly if I didn't have all of my belongings with me and ready to store, I would've gone someplace else. We have a claim in and thank God I got insurance policy because they are being helpful , upper management and the claims department NOT the U-Haul location management. I will never rent from U-Haul again. Next time I am doing use storage pods if I have to store things again. I lost thousands of dollars in furniture and house items.

Shawn B. | Premières impressionsReservations mean nothing and the customer service was some of the poorest we've ever experienced at any business. Ahead of our out-of-state move, we made a reservation at this location for two large storage units. We received email notification that those units had been reserved for us. However, when we arrived at this location to sign documents and unload our two enormous moving trucks - with a moving crew we were paying for - we were met with a rude awakening. The guy at the counter was overly chatty and slow as molasses. It took him half an hour to get to the part where he let us know they only had one large unit available for us, despite our reservation for two. We were dumbfounded. Instead of finding a reasonable solution, the counter person told us that making a reservation online doesn't actually mean they have anything available. Not an acceptable answer when we've traveled multiple states and have been counting on the product we reserved with the confirmation we'd received. When a manager was finally brought over to review the situation he confirmed that they did not have the two units we reserved, only one. Furthermore, he adjusted our price to remove, yes REMOVE, promotional discounts that we had received online. When asked if they could make a deal for multiple smaller units to make up for the lack of unit that was reserved, we were told that was not possible. We would have to pay full price for each and every unit, with no promotions provided. This all happened while the manager and employee knew I was on the phone with their competitor, who is literally a mile and a half straight down the same road, to check on availability of the same sized units we had reserved through U-Haul. Rather than make any effort to keep our business or pretend they cared about our time, money or the predicament we'd been put in, they nonchalantly as if we "just want to cancel." This location did not deliver on any level of professionalism. Moreover, this whole process wasted our time and money with the moving crew we'd employed, who stood idle while the U-Haul team pecked at the computer keys and stared blankly at the screen and whom we had to pay for the wasted time at U-Haul and the drive to the new location. Terrible experience.

We have only one minor complaint: some trash (coffee cups) accumulated near our unit (which was right next to one of the doors). We disposed of it ourselves, but this seems like something the staff should be checking on.

There is a very rude employee that drives at very fast speeds through there with large uhaul trucks and honks at anyone parked there even though there are no parking spots he expects you to get out of his way. Hes going to run someone over! He was alsorude to me in the store parking lot in front and forced me to park at a private business across the street that clearly has signs that say "No parking violators will be towed". I also waited in line in the store for about an hour just to check in only to have the guy that was helping me start helping someone else before he handed me the keys. He then told me to wait. I waited for him to finish. Meanwhile the everyone else that was behind me in line was helped by the next available employee. Then they promised to waive a day off the truck rental for breakdown but didn't and did not put any notes so customer service is refusing to adjust the bill stating that there isn't any notes. How is that my fault? On top of all this the truck was not ready and we spent an hour and half on hold trying to locate one then had to drive another hour and half to go pick it up. They were supposed to call the day before to let us know all this but they didn't. I will never use uhaul again.

On top of that I had to wait about 20 minutes while they hooked up a trailer before I could exit the property. The parking is a MESS!

I received an email stating my rent would increase and responded stating I would not be paying as I had already requested a move out. I then called U-Haul's customer service line and they said that they were going to have somebody be submitting my move out request and have it be processed. Then finally on May 14th someone called me and noticed my padlock was gone and my door was open on my storage unit and wanted to know if I had done that intentionally. I said yes I've been wanting to move out of this unit for over a month. Thankfully at that point Sherry was great and has processed my move out.

The reason I was given was that many people do not show up for their reservations, but I don't see how that is relevant to me. I showed up!
Alison A. | Premières impressionsI rented a truck and a storage unit at the same time/location. The gentleman at the counter could not have been any more helpful and courteous. When I went out to the lot to get my truck a Hispanic gentleman asked me for my contract. I gave him ALL of the paperwork I had received from the gentleman at the counter. The Hispanic gentleman then got upset and threw all of my paperwork in the trash. I had to dig thru the trash to recover my rental contract and the location/number of my storage unit. The behavior of the Hispanic gentleman ruined an otherwise very positive rental experience. I've never before been treated with such hate and disrespect.

Despite doing everything correctly, it took 16 days, multiple live chats with uhaul, several phone calls, and finally traveling to the site itself to complete the process. Multiple messages to the manager weren't returned, even when the request for callbacks were made by uhaul themselves. Horrible experience.
Robynne F. | Expérience généraleFirst trip to the storage unit and they had locked it themselves without telling me to lock it before hand, second trip around I had a Uhaul full of furniture ready to unload and the gate was closed for the night. Had to keep Uhaul an extra day so I could unload.

Ruben L. | Premières impressionsI rated average because I requested a 10x10x10 and the unit I was rented has a lower head clearance with roll up door cylinder just inside entrance. The unit is actually 10x9. I had 3 standard pallets to load in to be pickup later and can not be stacked to 6'4" ready to go in storage unit. Disappointed and will have to repack in driveway at time of pickup.

I settled my account in September or October and I have been getting billed every month after that. I don't want this to go on my credit report. So please fix this error.

I'd like that to be refunded. Having spent money on vans to move, etc. - I feel I invested a lot to support this crew, and happy to do my part. But disappointed with the inability to reverse the charge.

I was very upset at the situation and was rude to say the least. Bob worked with me and calmed my concerns. I am thankful he took the time to help me even though he was dealing with several other issues himself. Thank you for the understanding and I will be using his location for any of my upcoming rental needs.

Even with all the smoke and the natural stress patrons bring with them, the staff was able to retain their sense of humor and helpfulness. The storage unit was clean, very secure, and easy to access. brian b. | Expérience généraleonly issue I had. I had waited 30 minutes in line to get a truck and rentva unit. The guy stated I could fill out paperwork when I returned truck. I assumed my storage unit was in the system, so upon my return I could place my items in unit. I was not given my code, upon return I had to wait another 20 minutes in line to finish getting the unit, in which was never put in system upon my first visit and the unit was not placed on hold and was unavailable. The second time waiting in line was my issue.

During such stressful and uncertain times it was really nice to just be able to crack a few jokes and lighten the mood. I will definitely use this storage facility again in the future if the need ever arises!
SOPHIE B. | Expérience généraleI really liked that I could rent via mobile device and after hours, since the move was unplanned. However, I was supposed to receive the first month free with the rental of a vehicle. There was no way to apply the free month via online. There is no way to contact the storage office directly (I must call and wait on hold from 20 min to 1hr+) and have yet to receive assistance with this 3 weeks after the move-in. Also, the access wasn't clear, and we we're locked out of the facility after hours the first time we arrived (because 2 vehicles entered using our code, which "logged us out"). We had to call an after hours line, leave a message, and wait 30 min for someone to show up only to tell us that we could have walked outside the gate and enabled our code again. If there was a usable FAQ or chat feature, and if I could actually reach a human at the rental location, this would be much better.

Each time I have gone in, I have waited nearly half an hour to get service, been treated like an inconvenience, and the office staff are very disorganized. No one ever answers the phone either. Do better.
Erica N. | Expérience généraleI dropped a rental truck at this location as well as renting a storage unit. The process with the storage unit went well and there were no issues. I however have an issue with the rental return. I picked up a 15 foot truck in Medford Oregon on Saturday June 27th. When I picked up the truck it was very low on gas and I asked the attendance what is the process for fueling. I was told to return the truck with the same amount of gas as when I picked it up. I returned the truck with the exact amount of gas to the Beaverton location but then last night got a bill for $54 in fuel charges. I called the store and was told they will look into it. I am not sure why I was charged for fuel when I returned it exactly the same amount of fuel as I picked it up with. I think this is taking advantage of customers and a sneaky way to get some additional money from the customer. I will certainly dispute this charge if a credit is not give to my account. This is no way to treat a customer.

Besides that, my reservation was lost and had to be created which took much longer than expected. The paperwork there is duplicative and wasteful. Why can't the storage contract be emailed? Why did I have to fill out my insurance information twice? These seem to be mostly systemic issues and not the fault of the particular location.
