Anita SReally appreciated the friendly service of the young man behind the counter on Saturday morning, April 6. Communication skills were excellent. Also when I returned the trailer, I cleaned it out and swept the trailer, but did not wash it with my hose as i usually do since I was passing the U-haul place on my way home. So, I told the other young fellow there I could hose the trailer out myself, at home, and be back in 45 minutes, or leave it with him with a bit of dusty mulch. He said to leave it with him and he would clean it out with the leaf blower. Again, appreciated the friendly and convenient service. Trailer for a day for $19 - best deal in town!

joseph oPlease remind customers to expect that the car dolly trailer makes an ungodly amount of noise when towed without car loaded upon it, and that that is to be expected. It works great to tow a car from point A to point B though. Merci.

Lucero HThe experience of online pickup and drop off was good. Worked well for me. Everything went smoothly so far. However, the passenger mirror was dangerously loose and I couldn't use it. Very unsafe. I tried to write about this in check out on the app, but the app get shutting down and telling me to call U-HAUL, which I didn't want to do, so i ended up not adding the mirror issue to my check-out, and told the guy who came to clean the vehicles. Hopefully it got fixed for the next person. Other than that, I loved the experience.

matt lYou charged me a $20 after hours drop off fee!? I paid for a 12 hour rental, from 10am to 10pm. I dropped it off before 10pm and within 12 hours. You need to explicitly state that there is an extra fee to drop it off when the store is closed. Absolutely ridiculous.

Everything else is great, the person that helped us has been there many years, he's a fantastic person to offer help. Recommend coming to this spot again.
Kevin OThis has nothing to do with the location. U-Haul's website and app are horrible though. One should be able to enter their location and desired type of vehicle or other service and have 4 or five U-Haul centers nearby listed. In making my last several inquiries, that is not the instantneous process it should be. I spend 5 minutes minimum getting the location and equipment I'm looking for, and then pages of things to delete that I don't want.To the credit of the Foster Road location, I think in the future I'll skip this time wasting process and just deal with the helpful people at the counter. The app was ridiculous. The process of checkig in a vehicle, while comprehensive and perhaps designed to ensure safe check -in of the vehicle after hours, in my case I took photos twice only to have them disappear. When I attempted a third time , clicked keep photo and THAT disappeared, I gave up as I was tired and a bit stressed which brings me to complaint #3. Now, granted, I should have looked carefully at my contract, but I told he counter person I'd have the vehicle back by 6PM, meaning the same day. When I realized I wasn't going to be able to return the vehicle by that time, I called the Foster Rd location and got forwarded to general customer service. I explained the situation and was told it would cost extra, more than the basic rate, to extend the contract. It was beyond my control to have the vehicle returned any sooner so I reluctantly agreed. She said I could take my time and return by 6AM the following day. After hanging up, I ralized that a full day rental should be 24 hours. I figured I would straighten everything out when I returned the truck. Looking at the contract, however, I saw that the counter person put me down for a day and 8 hours, effective making the return time 6 PM the folowing day. The customer service person should have known this and saved me the bit of stress, not only of rushing to return the truck, but for having to go through that failed return process with the app when I could have dealt with a real, live attentive person the next day.

Ana LYour technology is terrible. The app didn't work to check in or out, neither did the web browser. Luckily the location was staffed and open. Unfortunately their attempts to access the system were impeded by unacceptable slow technology as well. Tons of vehicle share apps have figured it out, it isn't impossible.

WAYNE BIt’s all about customer service. 24 hours of back-and-forth with U-Haul customer service and your insurance provider and although it all worked out in the end, it was an absolutely miserable experience with uhaul reps giving false information over and over about your own policies and procedures.
Eric Pgot there to pick up after going in day befoore to see if i could pick up[ tow dolly with 2021 toyota tundra instead of my 30ft motorhome .. was told that was fine .. showed up next day and was told i couldnt .. had to go home and get moptor home witch put me about 2 hours behind our travel mates ... then gopt home loaded cxar and tire was flat had to unload car and take to get air .. that put us aqnotjher 1 hour behind ... then wen loading to leave after 3 days at our destination tire was flat again had to go air up again then load ...
Rons fTruck was nearly impossible to get into and out of for a short person. Seat would barely move up, took 3 times for the guy there to get the seat close enough for me. Gas pedal was very touchy. Ordered a dolly, was not in the truck when we went to use it, but account was credited right away.

Even though there was a truck returned it was held for a customer who was not there at 9am and picked up at 11:00 Even though we were there two days in a row and being sent to clackamas. The employees were rude and their behavior was unprofessional. One employee hung up on me, hide in the bathroom and the other was moving a truck even after he saw me approach the office. I came to office in person after being told that he was to busy to talk too me or respect.]

Penny SRented a truck and trailer and they charged me for a trailer hitch then I returned it after and it has not showed up on my bank account. Then I was charged an extra $30 for gas after I topped it off, I feel like they're scamming people to fill up their own tanks.

Adrianne SI am left without access to my storage facility, that was confirmed with access codes, times, etc and even payment. With confirmation and entry instead well as lock location. After an all day move and very sick baby the night before, I had help and people to help me unload and then I was to be on a flight, for a sick family member. With condo with return at 7pm on 12/10:23, e-mail confirmed too. Unable to access I then had/have a full UhAul, no access to my storage, a sick baby and a flight to catch. After several attempts to GM, through customer service attempts, no luck. I spoke with 3 reps, no one is able to help me? Really? Then told something completely different then my reservation and confirmation. Not to mention you're charging me for something completely out of my control, against everything I did and was expecting from this "streamlined"'process, that I was assured should be smooth and to follow the entry instructions. I am huge on customer service and tonight is the worst experience I've had, with any give. Company. We shall see how my luck goes tomorrow.

Also, Ron the manager gave me a great deal on my storage. Drop off was quick hold and convenient. Didn't get the young man's name but polite and pleasant. ( Shiah) I believe !

After doing so I was told I couldn't get a receipt as the printer was down but they would email it to me right away. I never got it and the staff told me I had never been there and paid. After a prolonged hassle I had to pay my approx 185 payment again which I did and then moved out. I could not be more unhappy with the dishonest staff at this facility.

The manager made a big deal about fiiing a claim. I'm okay not filing a claim after cleaning everything there wasn't any damage to my items I stored. I have made several attempts to contact the location to no avail. I also called customer service which went no where. All I would like is to be given new boxes since I've had to replace all of mine. I'm not expecting the boxes not sure you should ever expect me to be a customer again.

The GM then blamed us for leaving the wallet behind. If that wasn't bad enough the actual storage unit was DISGUSTING. All of our stuff smells like chemicals and it was only there two months. I would avoid this place at all costs.

The staff have to really hustle, dealing with lines of customers, issues with moving trucks/vans, stressed-out customers. As an educator, I view this as a difficult work environment for staff. Part of what they do is educate the public on the trucks, storage, policies, etc., as well as solve problems. They do the best they can, but you need to staff the office with more people during peak times.I've found them to be extremely helpful and kind, but the stress they work under is obvious to any customer walking in the door. That does not reflect on them, it reflects on management. I hope these observations are helpful.

My step-son had a similar situation at another storage facility, and they just flat out refused to help him or work with him. That's exactly why I will always do business with U-haul.
