There was water damage due to the unit directly behind the one I was renting. All of my boxes were moldy. I have pictures to back up my situation. The manager made a big deal about fiiing a claim. I'm okay not filing a claim after cleaning everything there wasn't any damage to my items I stored. I have made several attempts to contact the location to no avail. I also called customer service which went no where. All I would like is to be given new boxes since I've had to replace all of mine. I'm not expecting the boxes not sure you should ever expect me to be a customer again.jeff r. | Expérience générale

My wife has allergy issues with fragrances, recommend using them only as needed and not after each rental. She had a hard time going into the trailer until it had been allowed to air outJames K.
What happened to dropping off your key to complete a transaction? I ask for help with your 24 hour service. She quickly explained that she could help troubleshoot but would not be checking in my truck. Changed my check in to 7am before I confirmed that was what I wanted and hung up the phone on me. I believe I successfully completed my check in but after a rough day of moving. It was a pain in the ass. I will never use your after hours service again ever...... BTW if you want to pics it was not 3/8 of a tank when I got the truck. The counter staff did not explain I'd be use an online service to return the truck. Needless to say I will not be using uhaul without serious thought and lamenting over whether or not I have a good friend with a truck to pay instead of you.CHRISTIAN H.
The only thing that saved this rental was the gentleman who helped me return the vehicle. Upon arrival, the website for self check-in was buggy. A worker told me he could help me, but basically wanted me to log in to U-Haul's wifi. The van I rented had no gas, and was told if I returned it at a 1/4 tank I would be credited $25... But that doesn't even cover the cost of a quarter tank at 5,55 a gallon, plus my time fueling up before I could use my 4 hour rental, after struggling for 15 minutes to get checked in. I finally got a new van, but was barricaded in while a trailer was being taken off a hitch. I finally got out of there almost half an hour behind schedule. It was frustrating, set my day behind, and felt rushed.Jennifer H.

The older man yelled at me because I was in line where it was clearly posted "rental return" and said move across the street. Then huffed at me because there was a van in front of me so I couldn't move forward and then completely ignored me. A real ray of of pitch black. Return your equipment somewhere else!!!!gail E.

I was in a great mood before my Uhaul experience. I bounced in and gave them my details, and the general manager announced, â€œI don't have a truck for youâ€ with no explanation. When I said, â€œI don't understand,â€ he said, â€œI don't know what you don't understandâ€"I don't have a truck.â€ He was extremely rude, and I left with a different order that was more expensive and bigger than I needed. They did not add the dolly so I had to go back to ask them for it. Overall it was just really confusing and unprofessional, and honestly if they'd just said â€œOops, we're so sorryâ€ I probably wouldn't even be writing this, but the general manager was just strangely mean about the whole thing and made me feel horrible. It sucked because I was having a really good morning. So, no, I would say go to pretty much any other Uhaul, this one sucks.Michael M.
The manager at this site is rude, dismissive condescending and petty. He needs sensitivity training because his customer service sucks. He almost hit me while I was trying to park a van because he died across the street in a truck and barely missed me by inches. Then he wouldn't reply as to why my charges increased so much and charge me for gas when I brought the tank back where I got it at.harry H.

The advertising makes it seem like it is a contact free/quick rent experience. I'm not sure the online checkin via the phone gained me any more time. Also, all the questions for add on services is exhausting. Could be streamlined. I had to decline multiple add on at least three separate times. Why not just answer once?Michael M.

I am going to use a different company next time! The cost was more then I expected ! The truck didn't run very well. The uhaul had one guy working . We couldn't decide the payment between 2 cards. I wish I could get my money back.Diana S.
UHaul has changed their mileage and pricing for one-way rentals. In doing this, they also seemed to have minimized the mileage calculations from the pickup location to the drop-off location, leaving very little (if any) margin for traveling the distance in the allocated miles. Since UHaul has modified these parameters, I've been charged extra miles each time, although not driving out of the way to get from point A, to point B. Obviously, just another nickel and dime effort to get more money for their rentals.STANLEY R.

I went to the location on 88th and Foster. Everything was OK., except the customer service was not that good. I had a direct conversation with The manager; not professional like we expected. he drove the car all the way to the road with the hood unlocked. What would happen if I went on I 205 freeway with the hood unlocked? This truck was apparently ready to go, he just grabbed it and we gave it to meâ€¦ Nicealexey S.
Make sure that your equipment is maintained and modern to make long distance trips. Tires need to be upgraded to radial tires asap. We had a blown out tire and were postponed by 4 hours and lives put in danger on the highwaysShady E.

The gas gauge was just under 3/8 of a tank but the paper had it marked down as just over 4/8 of a tank and I didn't notice till i left about 2 miles down the road and called but said it was too late i already left the lot so I got cheated out of 1/8 of a tank of gas i had to make up but didn't use because someone put the wrong level down of course it had to be more than it was and not less that's the 2nd time out of 3 U-Haul truck rentals that's happened to.THOMAS W.

Hands down the WORST moving experience of my life. An employee stole my partner's wallet and we saw it all on security footage. The GM then blamed us for leaving the wallet behind. If that wasn't bad enough the actual storage unit was DISGUSTING. All of our stuff smells like chemicals and it was only there two months. It seems short-staffed at the end of and beginningnof the month. The staff have to really hustle, dealing with lines of customers, issues with moving trucks/vans, stressed-out customers. As an educator, I view this as a difficult work environment for staff. Part of what they do is educate the public on the trucks, storage, policies, etc., as well as solve problems. They do the best they can, but you need to staff the office with more people during peak times.I've found them to be extremely helpful and kind, but the stress they work under is obvious to any customer walking in the door. Had the greatest experience at your facility located on Foster Rd. The General Manager, Willie Landingin Jr. worked with me on a prorated payment, as the monthly payment came out less than a week prior. My step-son had a similar situation at another storage facility, and they just flat out refused to help him or work with him. That's exactly why I will always do business with U-haul.
