The general nanager at the Foster Road Portland location has no business being a general manager. He speaks rudely and condescendingly to customers. He has no ability to be respectful, has no understanding of how to treat customers, and demonstrates disrespect to every one around him. The other staff are great! It is a testament to the character of other staff that they can treat customers with respect while working with this general manager. I have learned to plan my rentals on the days the general manager is off for the day.

The beginning was great, the person working the front desk was nice, answered all my questions, but when I pulled up at 4:45 (closing at 5), I followed the prompts on the sign to stay in the vehicle, pulled up to the checkout, and waited for the customer in front of me to finish checking out with a clerk. Then the clerk went inside, locked up, and I was waiting to be helped when I saw him leave the building to go home. Completely closed up and totally ignored me. I called him out on it, he said he didn't see me, and left me to do the self check out online, after I had waited 15 minutes to be helped. I will use another location next time.

The online scheduler let's people have back to back reservations - maybe allow fifteen minutes between so the trucks are available and ready when people come to pick them up.

Great manager. Whatever your paying him isn't enough to have to work in that horrible area of Portland. That's a guy that should be at corporate and not a lot moving trailers.

Employee was rude and yelling at my wife and I, as well as other customers. Blocked our car in so we couldn't leave after he rudely told us to leave. I've already told my friends, family, and all military and union brothers to avoid this location. I will also be leaving negative reviews anywhere I can on the internet. Unprofessional and will most likely be the reason that location goes out of business

Someone siphoned a the fuel I put in truck. I had come in every day to put my things in a storage locker and talked at great length with seversl employees but was never told the trucks fuel was in jeopardy.when I arrived today I wasi immediately told has was being taken from the trucks. Then was told my tank was empty and I was responsible to replace the gas. They should have given me a heads up so I conspiracy me. Why do trucks not have locking hcas caps? This location did not do anything to protect me and do not have any right to make me replace stolen furl

I was very well taken care of. Because I had a reservation and there was only one person at the counter, I was prioritized over someone who was “considering” a rental but it sure. This location is always a pleasure and customer service is a high priority.

You guys advertise 19,99 and when I was done I paid $180 because of all the bullshit fees. Never again will I rent a truck. Should be illegal. Just tell people what its going to cost out the door.

The workers at the location were very friendly and helpful, the lower rating was due to Uhaul changing my location pick up & drop off just a couple hours before my pick up time! They didn't provide me with the address of the new location and was farther away than my chosen location. It was very inconvenient and unprofessional. I spoke with a customer service representative and said they would financially reimburse me for changing last minute but they never did.

My experience at checkout was terrible! I was blamed for damages from an older/shorter man that was working the day I returned my uhaul! I told him that they weren't caused by me and said they were there and in the photo and he still had the audacity to put the blame on me until I told him to view the original uhaul photos! He continued to argue with me for about 10mins until he looked back at the photos and never apologized. I'm very unsatisfied and would like some type of compensation for this experience an inconvenience

1. Someone called me and changed my location and gave me inaccurate information about when this location opened so I ended up waiting an hour 2. The person who checked me out neglected to mention there was a mileage cap so I ended up paying $90 extra no one told me about 3. This is a super sketchy location so I did not feel super comfortable waiting in my car

Improve page load speed on the late night turn in web page. The staff at this location were extra helpful and deserve praise for the enthusiasm they bring to the job. Including the night security guy who went out of his way to make sure my return went smoothly.

It took a half hour to rent after making reservations because of faulty computer software. Then upon return, THE MANAGER told me he was charging me for a 3 day rental. I picked up on Saturday at 10:58am, returned Monday at 10:00am. He argued profusely that it was 3 days, even counted them out on his fingers. He was VERY rude and insisted on charging me for 3 days. He then brought me my receipt, I was charged for the two days. When I said he'd charged me for two days he replied, so what's the problem. I said you! I can't believe this guy is the manager. Must be really tough to find anyone with half a brain to manage this location.

The truck we rented was pretty clean, but it had been smoked in and caused us to have issues. My son is allergic to smoke, so he was very congested for a few days afterward. The location was well stocked and orderly. The person on duty was working hard and did a great job of taking care of the customers needs, even though he was by himself.

Location was supposed to be open until 5:00 PM, but doors were locked before five, so I had to use my mobile device to do the return which was very slow and clumsy for a first time user. Seemed like I wasted half an hour, figuring out how to get online and jump through the appropriate hoops to end up with a CCF transaction for an amount I didn't quite understand.

Didn't get U-Haul as promised. I did a U-haul truck share and the app and with the poor assistance through customer service took three hours for me to get registered on the app to obtain which vehicle I was renting and the lockbox and code for the lock box. Once receiving the code for the vehicle lockbox that was mine the lock box had no keys to start the vehicle storages in the box. U-Haul basically ruined my day. I wasted hours.

When I picked up my UHAUL in Battle Ground I was told fuel needed to be returned at 3/4 of a tank. I returned it at 3/4 of a tank and was still charged $14 for two gallons by the location on Foster Road. I called today to ask for a refund, spent 16 minutes on hold, and then was hung up on.

I have rented from Uhaul in the past, and in the past, I have had to wait to get my equipment even though I had a reservation and I arrived on time. This was the quickest service ever. The attendant was working and was cleaning another truck when I arrived and as soon as he realized I was there he jumped out, assisted me and I was on my way. Thanks!! I was in and out and on time. When I arrived the same day to drop off the equipment the service was equally as good.

I ordered a appliance dolly with my truck rental, but when I picked up the truck in the evening, the dolly was not in the truck. I had to go back the next day to get it which was really inconvenient and messed up my moving schedule. The manager said that he wouldn't charge me for the dolly to make up for their error, but when I received the bill this morning, I was not only charged for it, but I was charged twice! Also, though I only drove 18 miles, I was charged for 5 gallons of gas! Last I checked, I U-Haul truck gets more than 3,6 MPG. When I tried to call to discuss these over charges with the manager, no one picked up. After calling about 8 times, someone answered and said that they would have the manager call me this afternoon. He never called me back. I will avoid using this location in the future and would recommend that other avoid it too.

My original reservation was canceled and changed at the last minute due to the truck being vandalized. I would've appreciated more than 30 minutes warning that I had to drive across town (extra mileage) to pick up. The representatives were kind but there was an issue with applying the $50 credit that i was promised over the phone when they called me to say I had to go to a new location. I was charged full price and still have not received my credit.

Hands down the WORST moving experience of my life. An employee stole my partner's wallet and we saw it all on security footage. The GM then blamed us for leaving the wallet behind. If that wasn't bad enough the actual storage unit was DISGUSTING. All of our stuff smells like chemicals and it was only there two months. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Needs to take care of the drop ceiling that's fallen due to evidence of water damage and access to the units requires skill due to tiny drive on a busy street but other than that it was perfect. The staff is great and the facility is clean.

Will never use U-Haul Storage again had to pay for a full month Storage when I only used 4 day's out of the month and was told that $160 is what you have to pay to use it for 4 day's so will tell all my family and friends to never USE U-Haul Moving and Storage 😡

It seems short-staffed at the end of and beginningnof the month. The staff have to really hustle, dealing with lines of customers, issues with moving trucks/vans, stressed-out customers. As an educator, I view this as a difficult work environment for staff. Part of what they do is educate the public on the trucks, storage, policies, etc., as well as solve problems. They do the best they can, but you need to staff the office with more people during peak times.I've found them to be extremely helpful and kind, but the stress they work under is obvious to any customer walking in the door. That does not reflect on them, it reflects on management. I hope these observations are helpful.

Had the greatest experience at your facility located on Foster Rd. The General Manager, Willie Landingin Jr. worked with me on a prorated payment, as the monthly payment came out less than a week prior. My step-son had a similar situation at another storage facility, and they just flat out refused to help him or work with him. That's exactly why I will always do business with U-haul. Your customer service is always above and beyond. Thank you again, Willie!
