There were very helpful in Spokane but it was obvious the store was overwhelmed because all one way rentals for the region were being directed to that store. There were 2 other locations closer to me for a drop off. I was not given an option. I could barely get into the driveway on a busy downtown street.Cliff T.

We staff met me as I pulled into the drop off area. Explained what he was going to do. It took 10+ minutes to unhook the trailer and push it out of the way. Though the parking lot was very full, he helped guide me so I could turn around and head out on my was. Receipt was emailed to me. Both pickup and drop off were well run operations.DAVID P.

I was told on the phone that l had reserved a 5x 10 heated unit on the ground floor . I am elderly and had friends to help me move my few belongings into it after l sold my home in Spokane . I asked if Uhaul knew of anyone l might hire to move my belongings as a back up plan in case my friends were unavailable to help me . Next thing you know l have multiple texts from moving companies asking for my location and a timeline . I called Uhaul office back and told them l did not order movers . Was told that I must call a number and cancel it .... l explained that l did not order it so why did l have to cancel it . I spent part of the next day from 6 am until 4 pm calling the number given .... no one ever answered that phone . I finally gave up . Called Uhaul in Downtown Spokane and complained about the screw up and was told l did not have to call and cancel afterall . When l got to the place and checked in at the office the manager told me that it was not really a ground floor unit after all ( he said that is just what we call it ) but down long corridor and up Five flights of steps ! I told him that maybe he meant five steps ? Yes ( was actually 9 steps ) but a ground floor unit is on the ground floor not on a second floor with a low ceiling height all humans over 6 feet could not stand up Inside . No elevator in the building either . So requiring friends to Unload on to cart push down long hallway .... up the stairs and hand carry all to the locker some Twenty feet from the landing ( no carts up there ! ) Also on top of all the other BS there was 20 in. step up into the unit . Bottom line Is in no way was this a ground floor unit !!!!! The check in process took about a half hour because l had to give my information three times to the manager because of a problem he was having entering it into the computer . Once l had waited so long just to check in my friends ( soon to be former friends ! ) are out in the snow waiting for me to be done . Had l seen what l had reserved there l would have cancelled and gone elsewhere . Worst of all .... THIS IS NOT A GROUND FLOOR UNIT !!!!! No way no how should be called one ! Is a bait a switch . And to make matters worse instructing a number moving companies to text me asking for directions to my location when it was the fault of the company's employee in the first place and then it was my problem l was supposed to unravel on my own . I was stuck with trying to find another place to store my stuff or forge ahead with people there with my crap in their truck ready and willing to help . Hardly of the mind to think was a good idea to hope to find an alternative considering it was starting to snow pretty hard at that point and all my boxes were getting wet even tho my house was only 8 mins drive the check in took so long that all cardboard boxes were very damp and squishy by the time they got in the unit . I am 74 yrs old and now l have to return to Spokane in the Spring to get my things out of your crappy place .. Was a very trying experience for me and now l have to pay to get my stuff relocated to another place ...., to say l am disappointed is putting it mildly !!!!! I would not recommend your company to my worst enemy .... least while to friends and family !!!!!! Well maintained equipment. Clean and well-stacked office of moving supplies. Can barely see front desk over the high stacks of boxes n supplies. Mgr, William, is knowledgeable and efficient in his profession. Despite the long line of tired grumpy customers returning local and one-way trucks, I noticed he kept a positive smile and easy-going attitude processing returns as I waited in line with others. This location only has part-time help along with Mgr. So Mgr- William had no assistance after lunch rush hour. Hoping that will change for this awesome location. Jyst something to keep in mind, the Uhaul Parking lot is tiny. Have a friend/family member bring you in for truck rental. There is limited space to park your vehicle. Excellent friendly staff. I was given a truck with a hole drilled into the gas tank. We tried to fill it with gas and it poured out onto the ground. The gas station had to shut down, the fire department came & the EPA is involved. The general manager at the uhaul location, was unprofessional and tried to say that the hole in the tank happened while the uhaul was in our possession. The uhaul was on camera at my house the whole time and not tampered with. We will not be using uhaul again.Richelle G.

Going home for Christmas is always suppose to be a special time of year, but when a global COVID pandemic hit and then a major snow storm tied up our expected ride we were forced to change the travel plans. Coming in on midday flight and not leaving till a late one am Amtrack train I had time to kill. This exciting day to explore the city was complicated by a city overrun with drug addicted homeless people, no storage lockers for luggage in the train station or in the bus stations and a limited mobility loved one who just months earlier had fallen badly and sprained both ankles. Did I mention it was cold and there was snow falling? Our solution was renting a truck for the day. We had secure luggage storage, ability to drop the truck late at night a few blocks from the train station, a warm place to be, and transportation to explore the city. The helpful staff cleared the snow from the truck before we got it and our rental cost was half the price of a competing national brand car rental company located right next door. This one day rental of a truck was a real life and drama saver. Thanks U-haul.KEVIN K.

I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone now. The outrageous extra cost is pathetic. 30 dollars charge to put gas in as well as the fuel charge. When the trucks aren't filled. They are left at the same amount as when dropped off. I will make sure none of my friends and family use you ever again.MARK B.

The neighborhood is not the greatest, crime is prevalent, but that's not UHaul's fault. I signed up for a contactless check-in, but never received instructions and was told there were no such trucks available. The truck I rented was fine, though the seatbelt sensor has a problem, as it continuously rang even though my seatbelt was securely fastened. Personnel were courteous and helpful.Bruce B.

Due to the fact that my reservation was not done at the time that I was there it took three different trailers till we got it right and it wasn't 100 % right when I was told that the trailer was compatible with my vehicle and I had to end up buying an adapter piece that put me in a little pickle and the fact that they was an issue with the running tail lights they weren't double check with the connections between my vehicle and trailer it was not a full inspection and that the first trailer was not there the second trailer had faulty lights and there's their trailer had one faulty issue with the light as well management was nice thoughRAYMOND M.
I was put on the 2nd floor. I was told no other unit was available.even though I am 70 and a diabetic. My check bounced and I was locked out. I paid $221 to unlock it only to find water leaking inside on the floorboards. Then I missed the step right outside the unit and fell and hit my head on the cement behind me. I had an Cat Scan and Xray to make sure I wasn't bleeding in my brain. I have been down for 4 days with headaches and body pains. I wish to be compensated for the accident. Edith Owyen 5098088968. I would have recommended this location because there were some employees that were great. I started going here the beginning of October I bought over $100 in boxes and tape. Then went back and waited 45 minutes in line to get 2 more rolls of tape (I really like the tape). Later they hooked the trailer up to the truck although again I had to wait a while. When I was leaving town I stopped in to sell back my boxes and they wouldn't buy them back without a receipt. I purchased them a month prior then pack everything my daughter and I owned I had no idea where the receipt was. It wasn't like I brought in boxes I got somewhere else they say Uhaul on them. It was $40 I could have used. I ended up giving them the boxes because I had no room for them. I was mad at Uhaul figuring they knew people moving wouldn't have there receipt, and they probably resold my boxes. One staff even told them he had sold me the boxes. When I arrived in Bremerton and was dropping off the truck I told them about the boxes and they asked if I paid with a credit card. I told them I had and they said the other place could have bought back the boxes using the credit card information. Finding this out made me less mad at Uhaul but very disappointed with the Uhaul place in Spokane.Teresa M.

The only problem I have is that this month i got a text message saying to.come in and pay my bill when I should have been on auto pay. Well the person who had helped me didnt out it on auto pay and I had specifically told him that I needed the auto pay because I have loans out and want to make sure it is one of the first payments to be pulled out. Well when I went to go correct this the guy ended up charging me and left me broke until next month... I wouldn't recommend this location , they tried to charge us 1 000 for 281 miles for the smallest truck they had , thankfully got it down to 600 . Kalispell said they would only charge 400 for the trip . The truck had damage previous to us and was not documented correctly so kalispell tried charging us 200 damage fee . I think corporate messed up on the archaic requirement to give 5 contacts to rent a truck. Really? You're saying I could be sophisticated enough to fake my ID and major credit card but I'd somehow revert to honesty with 5 verbal contacts? Seems easier to rent a truck with enterprise/hertz rather than standing there and waiting for the poor front desk to type in my 5 contacts. Everything else was lovely - thanks!David W.

When I dropped off the trailer I was there at least 2 hours before my deadline. There was no one to help unhook, so I did it myself. A worker walked by when I was done. I told him what I did and I asked if we were all good. He said yes and will check it in when he got time. I said should I wait, he said, â€œnot if you trust usâ€. I've rented from U-HAUL several times in the past and I only use and recommend U-HAUL above all other competitors. This last time was the first time we've ever had an issue. The windshield had a rock chip that resulted in a crack in the windshield while driving it. Other than that I've never had any issues. First and last time renting from U-Haul. Note, I just rented a 15 foot truck to haul a sectional from Spokane to Sandpoint. Simple, right? We went to two different U-Haul locations. The first clearly didn't fully understand U-Haul's booking system and struggled to create a reservation. Then told us he didn't have a truck for us so he called a number and told us that Midtown had a truck and we should head there immediately. We went to this location and the guy told us that we still had a reservation, the previous guy hadn't transferred it so we needed to cancel that one. He then proceeded to tell us that we were lucky because he had one out of town truck left to rent. Which was perfect because we told the guy we were going to Sandpoint and I have a U-Haul location 1 minute from my house. The guy was nice, gave us an estimate and we went on our way. When I went to return the truck that night, he had told us to do it on our phones and I noticed that we had the wrong return location. We were supposed to return it to the location where we rented it from.. so I called and thought it would be an easy fix to switch the location so I could return it. The guy gave me a number to call to speak to scheduling and said â€œthey'll fix it for youâ€. We explained and then argued and then cried with Annetta from scheduling for almost two hours while she made me feel extremely stupid because I had â€œsigned a contractâ€ and needed to return the truck. She didn't take any ownership, didn't apologize, and did not offer any solutions. The key to our truck literally said OUT OF TOWN. And my mom and I were very clear about what we were doing and where we were going. Annetta was the worst customer service representative I have ever dealt with. We finally got a call from her manager who was at home for the day and he called around and we ended up driving 2 extra hours instead of 3 extra hours to return the truck in CDA. The whole experience was horrible and I would expect a National company who has a monopoly on the market to be better managed and give better training to the 3rd party employees they are using to rent their equipment and use their name.ALLISON M.

We were traveling from Boise Idaho to Spokane Washington. We got to McCall Idaho for lunch and could not shut the drivers door on the uhaul truck because the door latch was stuck in the up position. I had to tie the door shut which was EXTREMELY inconvenient. We drove 259 miles trying to keep the door closed enough to continue to Spokane. If that had not happened I would rate the experience higher, however, I got the run around from the Spokane location about any kind of discount for the unconvinced this caused. I have rented from uhaul 2 times and both times something went wrong with the truck and no compensation was given. Not very reputable in my opinion.JUDY C. | Premières impressions

Well your store at 903 w 3rd in Spokane Wa. is NOT open 7 days a week at 9 am so you might want to re-paint the building signage and change where you send peopleâ€¦I called in and they referred me to another site after the manager did not answerâ€¦ also the truck I received was dirty, very dirty and the engine light was on because the oil needed to be changed. I was told that there was a problem having someone come to change it so just go ahead and drive it anywayâ€¦. Other than that it was way more expensive than anticipatedâ€¦Alana B.

No one should ever be left with out proper passwords to access info to complete transaction. With out having to call a boss in a meeting. Who won't answer. So the customer has complete faith everything is ok. Not leaving with out signed paper work on rental till next day email. After $$$$$ was passed and no receipt?
