Your front counter staff is inadequate. Twice when I visited this location nobody was inside the customer area for a period of over 10 minutes. Also when I called the direct number and was transferred to your main number, I was on hold for over 10 minutes and hung up.

This store has the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. When I returned the equipment, they told me that I was over by several miles compared to what the trip odometer said as I had set that the minute I got in the truck. Also, after paying 339.72 for the truck for 3 days of rental, they also put through a hold of 136.00 dollars at the same time and it caused my wife to be overdrawn on her bank account. This is totally unacceptable as there was no mention that there would be a hold and that MOST companies, when a hold is placed on the card, it shows up the day that the hold is placed on the card and then that hold, for whatever amount, is then taken off of the bill. I am very upset by the attitude that I was given by the person that checked in the equipment and also by the explanation that I was given about the hold. I am going to report this to the Better Business Bureau as this is improper business practice. I would appreciate it if you trained your employees better about proper business practices.

The manager was very nice. My only complaint would be that this location is very understaffed. The manager seemed to be the only person there doing all of the work. It took almost 20 minutes just to get helped. He seemed like a great guy and was working very hard trying to do everything, but he's only one person when there should be at least a few more.

Not just this location. Uhaul in general. If you want a truck that will shake and rattle out your fillings at highway speeds... rent from UHaul. They say non-smoking vehicles...this truck smelled strongly of smoke and masking odors. This was a location specific owned truck so I had to bring it back to this location...an extra $20 due to mileage... this wasn’t even my preferred location. The Internet stated the Clackamas location had the truck I wanted. So I rented it. While en route to pick it up I receive a phone call saying they don’t have it and I needed to drive to the Milwaukie location. When I returned the truck (a day early) the intake worker referred me to the counter vs simply dropping it off. I went inside and clearly interrupted the woman at the counter... think she was setting a personal best at Bubble Witch... she barely looked up from her phone as she directed me back outside... yet did so with a smile. The outside worker directed me back inside after I told him the truck shook significantly at highway speeds. I went back inside to see the same woman back on her cell phone. She didn’t look up until I reached the counter...With the money I spent through Uhaul and the hassle it became, I will pay a professional to move me next time.

The fellow that rented us the truck was rude and unfriendly. The fellow that recieved us was nice. The fact that you charged us for a gallon and a little over was absurd! We will not do business with you guys again even though we live 3 miles from your location. We have rented no less than 4 trailers from you since Jan 2019. And you charge us for 1 gallon of gas???? You do not care about you loyal customers and neighbors...obviously.

There was a fairly long wait for a Saturday morning and the truck I was rented was not in good repair which I soon discovered. When I return the truck it was dealt with and I was given a discount. This was my first U-Haul experience and I'm not sure I would use U-Haul again

I put 32 miles on the truck I rented from you, also put gas and when I finished. For some reason you were able to put 5.6 more gallons of gas in, I can't imagine that you're getting that poor of gas mileage on your truck. Even if I didn't fuel up that would mean the truck gets less than 6 miles per gallon... The math just doesn't add up. I feel like I've been duped.

The contract misstated the amount of gas in the vehicle. It was marked as full. I drove 13 miles in total and the vehicle took 10 gallons of gas when I filled it. When I brought this to the attention of the help, I was told-too bad for you. You should’ve checked before you left.

I reserved a Trailer for 48 hours starting Saturday morning and when I arrived, Andy at the McLaughlin in Milwaukie Oregon location verbally extended by contract from Sunday morning to Sunday afternoon for a single one day rate. At the time I thought he was being very kind declining I pay for the second day. On Sunday morning I was called by Shawn and then spoke also to Jessie (Asst Mgr) who were less than courteous, and during the phone conversation Shawn threaten me with Legal Police Action. After there phone harassment, on Sunday morning I unloaded the trailer and delivered only to be harassed again and charged for a two day rental. I have asked both of them for Phone Transcripts associated with this contract (96165976) and have been declined by the both of them. I will be calling the manager (Ron) later this morning to discuss. Yes ... I'm upset !!! I've never been treated so rudely at U-Haul in my many years as a loyal customer. Paul Bolf 503 739 5318

This review is more about the app/corporate customer service vs the people at this location. The people there for the most part tried to help. The app is a horrible experience. I reserved my truck online, and it said to use the app to "speed" through the checkout process. When I got to the location, I was trying to check out on the app, which was taking a few minutes just to get in. Then I had someone at the location tell me I needed to go inside to checkout anyways, so I closed the app and waited in line. When I finally got to the front of the line, the person at the counter said I HAD to use the app to check out and she could not help me. So I had to reinput everything into the app again. While I was doing this, she came out and handed me the key to the truck. I finished with the app and left the location. While I was driving, customer service called me, and since I was driving, I did not answer. They did not leave a message or anything. About 20 minutes later when I was moving my furniture, I received a voicemail from the actual Uhaul location saying that something went wrong with the checkout of the app, and since I did not answer the call from customer service, they canceled my contract and will be calling the police because of a "stolen truck" I had to then call the location back and walk through the check out procedure AGAIN to make sure I would not be arrested. Finally everything was taken care of and I could continue with my day. Then upon returning the truck, the location was closed, so again I had to use the app. I cleaned and locked the truck, then opened the app to go through the process. I had 5 steps to accomplish, most requiring taking pictures, but did not tell you it needed pictures until you were at that step, so I had to multiple times open/unlock/reclose the truck to get all the pictures necessary. At least tell me up front what pictures you want or need. Finally after getting all the pictures and info entered (which is not easy to enter since the app does not jump automatically to the next field/adjust when the keyboard is open) the last screen popped up with instructions on what to do. Immediately after the instructions come up, and pop up goes over them (so you cannot read anything) asking you to review the process. I clicked "maybe later" because I really wanted to check out, but wanted to leave a horrible review later. After I clicked "maybe later" the review pop up went away, but so did the final instructions, it took me back to the main page, so I just had to guess how I was supposed to leave the truck. This is the type of thing that makes me look at using other companies in the future even if they are more expensive.

Everything that was needed was provided. It always bothers me that the rental units list $19.95 a day, but we all know that figure never happens. Every rental company does it, so that's the way it is. I understand the bill and how it is laid out. It just seems like dishonesty.

I used the app which was a very lengthy process in and of itself, then I had to wait to go pick up the keys. this took over 30 minutes of waiting. At the beginning, there was NO ONE at the desk at all. I didn't get out of the place until around 10:45, yet UHAUL still said my reservation started at 10AM. Even though it wasn't my fault there was a significant delay. Furthermore, the person who checked us in when we returned the truck was the worst example of customer service I have ever seen. Overall, this was a truly disappointing experience. I will need to be renting a truck again for another project, but I plan to take my business elsewhere.

I was charged on my bank account 3 times for my rental, which in turn caused me to overdraw my account with a few hundred dollars in overdraft fee’s. The lady who checked my truck in had poor customer service skills also. She was rude and almost annoyed that it was close to closing time when I returned the truck. I should have waited because she asked me if she could email me a receipt. Not thinking anything of it I agreed as I filled the gas tank to where I was suppose to (I even made two trips to the gas station because the first time I didn’t put enough in and didn’t want to be charged the addt fee so I stopped at another station to make sure it was correct) and the truck was in the same condition I received it in. On the receipt I noticed I got charged a $25 cleaning fee and an addt 3 gallons of gas. I took pictures of the inside of the truck and even uploaded them showing spillage and garbage in the cab of the truck, but then was charged for a cleaning fee even though I had uploaded pictures from the walk around. My move would have been cheaper to hire movers then to rent a truck from this location after the addt fee’s I was charged that I was charged on top of the overdraft fee’s my bank charged me. Super disappointed that the one and only time I have rented a uhaul it resulted in this. I went against the bad reviews I read online and now I’m wishing I didn’t.

Though I am in his store sometimes only once a year, General Manager, Ron Ramaeker, knows me by name and always gives first rate service. He is friendly, energetic and can answer every question I have. His store is the only U-Haul I go to, why would I go to another?

I came in to return my truck and there were 4 people working but only one was with a customer. It took 15 min to even be acknowledged by someone and when I was, the woman who "helped" me was very rude. I was also charged for 2 days of dolly usage but did not use it at all keeping the green tab still in tact. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
