The employees tried their best but were unable to access some of uhauls systems. The first question is double barreled. The units were secure. But they were horribly lit.

The main manager of this facility harassed, insulted and threatened me and violated the U-Haul customer service policy in regards to treatments of customers. It's all stemmed over the fact that I utilize the U-Haul online Services ability as opposed to speaking to somebody in person at the local office on regular basis whenever I was extending my rental, although I did speak to people in their office at times, I spent the majority of my time speaking to the online customer service representatives, which is why they are there to begin with as U-Haul has a 24/7 program that allows customers to complete the entire rental process from beginning to end without ever having to deal with somebody in person. The manager of this facility harass me for utilizing this process, insulted me by saying I intentionally was avoiding talking to the local service department because I had something to hide Otherwise why wouldn't I be talking to them, and it's also stemmed from the fact that I had extended the rental several days, which is allowed by the contract, and I had to do that because I am a stage 4 cancer patient and had to do the majority of the moving on my own so it took a little bit longer time than I expected. She threatened me at the end by saying that if I did not return the U-Haul by the next morning of the day that I talked to her which was the day before my last day of rental, she was going to inform the police. She also informed me that she was the actual owner of the truck I was driving, even though U-Haul does not do that, they lease out there equipment to local facilities but they do not actually own any of the property, and if she's only a manager and not the franchise owner for the local facility, she lied again on top of that pretending to be somebody she was not. I plan on pursuing this matter to the fullest extent possible, including a full refund and possible arbitration and legal means as this person completely ruined the experience for me marginalized me violated my rights as a disabled person and violated the customer/business relationship ethical policies regards to the treatment of clients. I violated no policy whatsoever, I was utilizing all available resources to me that are provided by the business which are set up to be away for clients to do the entire process remotely, and I was harassed for it and threatened for it and humiliated over the fact that I took too long because I'm sick. While I have no particular qualm against U-Haul as a company, as I have had plenty of success with them before, this local facility needs to fire this manager immediately for the way they treated me. If I had been in my career and I had done that to a client I would have been fired on the spot. I can only hope that she does not do this to anybody else, particularly given the circumstances of my whole situation and how much that stress from her attitude and her approach to me caused me serious physical issues including inducing a seizure and brought out an episode of PTSD and severe agoraphobia that I worked tirelessly to keep in check. I will never use the local facility again

The installer was nice, friendly, and explained in considerable details how to insure the tow hitch is maintained for longevity and possible outcomes that can occur if not maintained. The installation was quicker than expected and way more affordable than having it done by my dealership.

Employees used almost all parking spots but an empty showroom for over five minutes. Poor customer service throughout the rental. Topped off by the store manager saying that she does not understand why most customers are jerks.

The staff member, William Z, who assisted me with pickup at 9am on Monday, March 25 and also with drop off at 1:30pm on Wednesday, March 27, was attentive, helpful, professional, and cheerful, and he is the best employee I've dealt with at the Moscow U-Haul in a long long time. He deserves all the promotions and pay raises you can give him.

Both of the employees were standoffish and didn't offer much help or even a greeting. We were instructed to wait for someone to come out to help us with the check of the van and no one came out, we had to go in and get someone to come out. Felt very unwelcome.

Trailer running lights didn't work. It was during the day and the guy who hooked it up didn't check to see if they worked. I rented the trailer for 24 hours but only used it for 6 hours and still charged me for 24 hours and didn't even get anything off for faulty equipment. Especially since I drove through town after dark with no trailer running/ constant break lights.

Jeremiah was on shift and was rather rude and very unhelpful. He couldn't answer questions I had and made zero attempts to get answers for me. At one point, I asked if he could ask a supervisor and get my answer. Again, showing zero interest, said she won't answer. Finally he did as I requested. I got a an non answer to my question. When I pushed back with what he claimed the answer was...he read the text from his supervisor and it was completely different from what he had told me. Jeremiah either doesn't care about his job or hates it cuz that was my experienced!

Very poor customer service. Customers who have specifically chosen not to self checkin using the app are forced to do so by the staff because the staff are too lazy to do the check-in themselves. Instead of copying my ID like a normal transaction the staff member sent text messages to me illegally without my consent after I had specifically opted out of receiving text messages so that I could upload my own ID because he was too lazy to log it into the system himself. After multiple failed attempts it became clear that my employer's security permissions on my phone didn't permit that and instead of copying the ID himself I had to get my wife to come in so we could use her phone to upload the ID. After I returned the truck I was charged a $20 extra charge allegedly because I didn't check out in the uhaul app (which again isn't my job). Finally, the truck was in poor condition with a faulty seatbelt warning buzzer that beeped every five minutes even through the seat belt was buckled.

My only comment is that although I originally booked my reservation for this location, I was routed to the alternate location: S & S Auto. When I called U-Haul, they stated that there was a truck available at the original location, so I was able to pick it up there. I don't know why this happened - one would think that if I make a reservation for a particular location (2 weeks in advance) I wouldn't be routed to a different location for pick-up. The alternate location was inconvenient for me, which is mainly why this is bothersome.

If a customer purchases extra equipment besides the moving truck - please check and make sure you equip the customer with the extra equipment they paid for. We paid for a dolly - never got one during the move and we were charged. We were only able to get this refunded by talking to a different representative at a different location…

Like to know what happened to the $33 i spent online reserving the pickup truck i needed for today 2/6/24 that i reserved last month n then wherever the hell $96 came from cuz it wasn't in the reservation part n then at the very end...having to pay $145 .... Ur site shows it for $19 n change to rent n then having to dip into my rent $ cuz its more than what the initial cost is? I shoulda just rode my bike to cda n back cuz its only $25 for a tank round trip n dealt with no speedometer.... I doubtfully will be renting it again.

The communication is terrible and they don't tell you all the facts ! DO not rent from them ! L They are dishonest and the biggest untruthful people I have met ! Very unprofessional from every person in the store . I didn't even have my units for 24 hours and they refused to give me a refund on the amount I paid even though both units I rented had nothing put it to them ! Be very careful don't rent from them look elsewhere in town !

The desk attendant was difficult to work with. He didn't do his job and I had to do most everything. Made renting a truck nearly impossible. When I tried to get him to do his job, he replied, "I only get paid $15 an hour."

When I picked up the trailer the 2 male employees were very friendly and helpful (one was training). When I left I had an appliance dolly and that was all I had ordered. When I returned the trailer in West Richland, the gentleman was also very friendly and helpful. The order said that I had 23 blankets which I had not ordered and not received (looking at the order they were though). I called the Moscow office and Brittany,, the manager was rude to both myself and the gentleman helping me. My experience overall was very good, with the exception of the extreme rudeness from Brittny in Moscow.

Third party service providers hired through U-Haul were helpful. The Moscow third party service provider was not as professional as I expected. I witnessed him standing on the top of my dresser drawer bureau to relocate an item he placed behind the bureau and was at a loss of knowing how to politely inform him of my disappointment in his ability to display respect to a belonging of mine. The Boise third party service provider was adequate and kind. Subsequent to their completion of unloading the U-Haul contents, I hired them separately for my continued moving needs.

I brought back the equipment 2 days early and want a refund for 2 days of $757.52. I don't understand why I need to pay for equipment on the days I did not use it. It doesn't make sense that I have to return it to Maplewood MN when the license plate is from Arizona.

Have additional units of the reserved unit on hand. In my situation the only one was being returned same day as my pickup & those plans changed so I had to take a unit that was much bigger than I needed/wanted. It created addtl stress in me towing & managing the bigger unit & it wasn't even half full. The person who called same day about the change was rude. The on site staff was helpful.

Reserved a 5x10 enclosed trailer. Got there and the only one they had was non op. Gave me a bigger trailer. Running lights didn't work. Blew the fuse twice. Turns out that that trailer was the same one I rented 2 weeks before, and it did the same thing, blew the running lights fuse. Yes, I told them the first time about the problem. Obviously it wasn't fixed. I was not happy, both times. And no, the problem is not my truck. I have 2 flatbed trailers, a boat trailer, and a pickup bed trailer, and they all work fine. I have been a certified master mechanic for 50 years. I owned a restoration shop for 40 years. I believe you owe me at a minimum the $113 I had to pay for a motel room, because I could drive at night with no lights. And you need to hire people who actually know what they are doing and can do repairs. That means you need to actually pay a decent wage, so that you have competent mechanics that actually fix problems instead of leaving people like me stranded in the middle of the night!

Had a major scare because some one marked my unit as moved out by mistake and took an hour on the phone to figure it out causing me to pay for an extra month that I had previously gotten for free because of a deal on the site. Also had multiple emails about paying for my unit after I moved out.

Returning a trailer on a Sunday knowing they closed at 5pm. Pulled into the parking lot with the 'open' sign still on at 4:57. Walked to the door and it was locked, got the attention of two attentants, who were sitting behind the front desk. After pointing at the lit open sign, and several looks between the 2 of them, one finally came out the side door and asked if they could help me. I told him I was returning the trailer and he told me they had already closed everything down and I would have to take care of it myself. After showing him my phone said 4:59, he reluctantly help get the trailer of my hitch, and told me I would have to do the self checking (which was not working at the time). The service at this UHaul is terrible.

Bated, switched and scammed. I arrived from out of state with an online confirmed storage space reservation and was told reservations were only "requests" and the unit I reserved was not available. The only unit "available" was twice the size and price of the one I had reserved. I was then asked to provide a different email than my online account "for security". The higher priced unit was then booked on an account under the second email. I was a " no show" for the original reservation under my primary account and asked via email for feedback on why I did not keep my reservation. When I expressed my concern about this I was told by staff that they are the only U-Haul in a town with two universities so they can get away with anything they want. I contacted the manager with no response.

I had a lot of difficulty in checking out of my unit. I am not local, and only needed it because a different local Uhaul left me high and dry on the morning of my house move. I tried the app, didn't work. I rang the office and was "put on hold", briefly before being cut off and hung up on. The 1-800 number are unhelpful. Nightmare.

I arrived on site and the storage unit I had reserved online was not available. Therefore, I had to quickly arrange alternate storage add another location well my movers waited on the clock for me to get a storage unit to unload into. Your failure to notify me that the storage unit was not available resulted in extra gas, extra mileage to be paid for, and an extra $140 in labor costs for my movers. The service is unacceptable and I will be writing about my experience on multiple platforms.

I was angry because I was called on June 30th & told they did not have the cargo van I reserved for my move. I had to change the reservation to June 31, 2022 & on that day I had NO one to help with my move. The manager was friendly & seemed exhausted & overwhelmed. He gave free one month storage & even accepted my van return 5 minutes before the facility closed....which I didn't expect him to do. Please give him a raise...BLESS HIS HEART!

In the words of the employee when I arrived on time to pay for a self-storage unit I had reserved: "I'm sorry we don't have anything available. Reservations don't mean anything." Absolutely laughable. Way to absolutely ruin moving plans  I would never recommend U-Haul to anyone, period.

The manager is outstanding. Havnt had any issues. The only issue I had was with another customer and the manager brittany took care of the situation like a pro. Uhaul should hire more like her at every uhaul.

Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable! This was my first time renting a storage unit from here and the process was simple and quick. Jeremiah made sure my gate code worked and walked me to my unit to show me how to open the door, the complimentary lock, etc. I really appreciated the help and I absolutely recommend storing your stuff here! That Britany, (I think her name was) is the rudest person I have ever met. And someone was in my facility before I moved out. Early on in the rental she accused me of leaving the lock off. I had to buy another lock

Was super nice helped me get set up and were more than friendly! Had some lady almost run me over in the middle of units and let them know the General Manager was there which was amazing to see here hands on working with her employees instead of sitting in some office. Anyways informed her and she understood right away why I was upset and that it was not okay the speed limit is like 2-5mph and this lady breezed past me close enough I had to move before the mirror hit me.

The facility is too small for the traffic and use it is getting. Staff were always pleasant and pretty helpful. UBoxes blocked my indoor access door for days and were next moved into the indoor loading area. This made moving my stored stuff more challenging. But overall, I have had a consistently positive experience here and with Uhaul in general for the past five months as I prepped for and executed a family move to a new city.

I appreciated the convenience of the storage locker to parking access. Very clean property. Great temperature control inside locker. Very glad this was available when I REALLY needed the extra storage of my stuff.

The employees were severely under staffed. I waited an hour just to get my reserved storage unit. The line was out the door by the time I was finished. The employee Brittany was very rude to other incoming guests. Once my moving /storage needs are fulfilled, I will it be coming back to this U-Haul location/office.

This was a case of what I consider false advertising. First, I was lead to believe that my storage unit was secured when I made the reservation for my Uhaul truck. I later came to find out that it was not secured, that there were no available units and that I needed to keep calling until one opened up. After many calls One finally opened up and I reserved it. Second, I came to then find out that this facility does not honor the "first month of storage free" as advertised on the Uhaul website. The clerk at the Moscow, ID store acknowledged this was a problem as many customers expect the first month free and are upset when they find out this is not the case. Because storage units are hard to come by I went ahead and paid the $189 for the first months rent. I could never discuss the matter with Brittany the manager as she was never at the store when I stopped in and I got tired of waiting on hold on the Uhaul 800 number. Third, the unit was not climate controlled as advertised. All of the climate controlled units were apparently full. I reserved the unit , paid in full and it sat empty for a month while I searched and waited for a climate controlled unit. One finally came open, I canceled my unit with Uhaul and moved my belongings into another facility. Based on the false advertising : no units available, no climate controlled units available and no first month free as advertised I would like a full refund of my $189. Excellent customer service, I was given information that helped me realize exactly what I wanted and needed for my belongings. I just came in for boxes due to a bad storage somewhere else and foundout Uhaul had exactly the secure, clean storage units I needed! Great facility and storage units I really appreciate the staffs suggestions and help! The lady was very helpful, informative, friendly and knowledgable. Uhaul is an excellent company!

As mentioned, the interior of the storage facility was well maintained. I believe however that the staff should be careful to keep the entrance to the storage clear always so that people can drive through. Many times this has not happened. Other than that, great storage facility.

Online, I reserved a 10x15 storage unit and received a confirmation notice for that specific size. The website noted that there was one 10x15 unit available and that is what I reserved (two days prior to rental). When I arrived at the UHaul facility in Moscow with a UHaul truck full of my household furnishings and after driving 300 miles that day (Boise to Moscow), the UHaul attendant informed that there were no units that size available in spite of my reservation. I asked what options existed and she told me I could either rent a 5x10 unit or go find another storage facility. I reiterated that I had a confirmation for the 10x15 unit and again asked what options existed as one 5x10 unit would not be sufficient. She repeated the same two options and offered no other solution. After letting her know that the 5x10 was 1/3 the size of a 10x15 and that it would not be large enough, I asked if there were possibly two 5x10 units available. She replied that there were but that they were not located close together. I asked if would be possible to rent both of the 5x10 units at the same price as the 10x15 since there is an inordinate price differential based on square footage. For example, the cost of a 10x15 unit is approximately $1 per square foot per month. The cost of a 5x10 unit is approximately $2 per square foot per month. She advised that she would request the modified cost for the units but that it could not be confirmed until Monday, June 15. I also said that I would need another lock, which she provided at no cost (which was very kind of her). I would like to say that she seemed hesitant about her ability to handle this situation and it was apparently hard for her to have to tell a customer that the unit that was confirmed was not available - a situation she should not have been put in by the company. Knowing that she was not responsible for UHaul's lack of integrity in honoring a confirmed reservation, I thanked her for her help. She was very pleasant but did not seem to be able to think of helpful solutions until prompted with ideas that I generated. I would like to thank her for helping me and I feel bad that she was put in that situation by her employer, but I would have also liked for the solutions to have been presented by the company making the error. Since the final rental cost will not be approved until Monday, June 15, I would also like to request that the two 5x10 units that I ended up renting be charged at the monthly rate of $1 per square foot (equivalent to the cost of the 10x15 unit) which would be approximately $100 per month, rather than the rate of the 10x15 unit, since I am only getting 100 square feet of storage space instead of 150 square feet. Please let me know if this reduced monthly rate will be honored due to the error made by UHaul. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request.
