Worst customer service. They messed up my reservation and didn't provide items I paid for. They did confirm them during check in and told me they were in the truck. I had a pretty bad experience to begin with this time, the first truck that I rented and drove to my apartment to load up died six or seven times in the parking lot whenever I tried to back it up, basically it could only go forward without dying every 2 seconds, so I then brought it back and they gave me a different truck but that sent me back an hour or more, then when I returned the second truck 24 hours later, the system still had the start time for the first truck that I ended up returning and it tried to charge me for 2 days. Thankfully the attendant manually corrected that for me to one day. Oh, and it wouldn't let me put more than 3 to 4 seconds of gas in at a time without the pressure valve clicking at the gas station but I tried to fill it up, so it took 15 minutes just to get a couple gallons back into it, which seems like a design flaw in the fuel tank. The guys were great though, just had some equipment and software system issues that made it not a great experience I guess.CALEB B.

Awful, awful, awful !!! The rented cargo van was feeble and could not even drive up our driveway!!!! We had to return it immediately because it literally did NOT work at all for its intended one day rental to move our lightweight boxes to our new house in town. The management would not refund our money and charged us about $73 or so for driving it off their lot and returning it right away. We, like the other 6 customers in line that morning had to wait 45 minutes to even be seen and eventually given this cargo van, then had to wait another 1/2 hour in line to return the van. The entire staff at this facility is at best unprofessional and almost always rude and annoyed with even simple customer questions. Damage on the front bumper of the truck was not documented but the employee waved his hand and said not to worry, he would remember it, which he did not. In addition, the self check-in is a horrible system that requires customers to transmit personal information across unsecured and unencrypted networksNathan D.

That man could sell a U-Haul to a professional truck driver. That man was so professional he could sell a mortgage 2 Donald Trump. I rated high because the customer service was outstanding. Jeremiah inside getting me set up and getting the truck and Outside Jose helped when I had a last minute question. I know you are renting trucks with quick turnaround times but I think a little better maintenance might be in order. (tpms was showing a flat tire when I picked it up an I believe it was asking for an oil change). Truck ran great and got us to California with no problems. I believe. The young man's name was Jeremiah Isenberg. I rolled in at closing time but he took excellent care of me. I am disabled and I was well beyond exhausted, but the young man was friendly and helpful. I was having trouble trying to log in to finish the return so he helped me. I think if he had hadn't helped me I'd still be standing there. And his attitude was gracious and helpful. I have to say that I have nothing exceptional friendly helpful service from the Moscow U-Haul. I went in in mid June to buy lots of boxes and other packing equipment. The guys there were outstanding. I don't get around well and they picked up everything and carried it to my truck and help me pack it in â€" â€" that's just good old-fashioned Customer Service; something that doesn't exist very much most places. They were great at helping make sure that my truck would haul the trailers and anything else we needed. And they help me get the right drop-down ball. I'm a medically retired high school teacher and I have extensive retail experience so I'm always impressed when the workers at a business make it a obvious conscious choice to be helpful and friendly. Please excuse the typos in this response it's very late at night and I'm very tired. Not only will I recommend the Moscow U-Haul I will tell people that based on the service provided that I would hire that young man again I think his name was Jeremiah Isenberg.. The only complaint I have is the cost of the rental for the trailer. I mean I took the trailer 130 miles and it cost me $300.PATRICK K.

There was a little bit of disrepair with the Tow Dolly. This wasn't found out until on the road. Everything went fine. The folks at the Drop Off Location were made aware of it. The girl behind the counter was very rude, she was more worried about texting during our transaction than helping us. She handed me the keys and pointed to the uhaul. We reserved 2 dollys which were not ready and in the uhaul. Our return of the uhaul was just fine.April W.

I was angry because I was called on June 30th & told they did not have the cargo van I reserved for my move. I had to change the reservation to June 31, 2022 & on that day I had NO one to help with my move. The manager was friendly & seemed exhausted & overwhelmed. He gave free one month storage & even accepted my van return 5 minutes before the facility closed....which I didn't expect him to do. UHaul called me three days before my move and told me that my original order of 8 UBox containers that were to be delivered to my house and shipped to my new home were not available. I went online a month before the move, filled everything out, uploaded drop off pictures, etc, only to be told three days before we moved that they would not be available. This was very disheartening. Uhaul discounted a 26' truck which was nice, but having to drive that truck, fully loaded, 2 000 miles, through the mountains, was not in the plans. In the future, when people reserve UBoxes there should be a notification if they will or won't be available in you area. Will not recommend UHaul based on what happened to my family.Chris P.

We were not told that if we brought the truck back before 24 hours we would not be charged the second day. We picked up sat which was a mess. And were not told the truck was ready . We waited for 20 min before I went in and asked. "Yah that truck is yours" On Sunday I called at 8 to see if I dropped off a day early since we were done with it and no one answered, then got disconnected. Finally talked to someone at 930. Which I was then told I would be charged the second day bc it's past 24 hours. Also..if this place serves Moscow/Pullman why am I charged out of town fees? 7 miles.....really. The only reason I would recommend you right now is you are the only option.Robert M.

The whole experience with uhaul was terrible. Uhaul kept changing the dates and cities, and I had to make over 30 phone calls with uhaul AFTER they took our ubox just to get you to do what was originally agreed upon. Also, after agreeing to deliver the ubox to Valdosta, Georgia using a subcontractor, they informed me they would no longer subcontract the delivery (only telling me this after I spent hours on the phone. I was never given any worthwhile and especially important information without needing to spend hours getting transferred from one person to another as they each passed the buck). I had to pay for movers to bring the ubox, which cost me about $250 above what uhaul originally told me the subcontracting would cost. Again, uhaul only admitted this to me after they already had all our possessions in the ubox so we could not back out of this. Quite honestly, uhaul should pay us a considerable amount of our money back due to the extra cost they incurred upon us and the great inconvenience inflicted upon us. I had to make over 30 phone calls to uhaul to fix dates and times that I gave correctly on day one (I made the reservation about two months in advance to ensure we would have the box in time without any hiccups. However, I did not anticipate uhaul's chronic case of hiccups). After hours of effort, only a single employee tried very hard to help us. I am afraid of disclosing their name, as the lack of customer service endemic across uhaul makes me fear they could face repercussions for actually doing their job.john P.

We rented a 15-foot moving truck that's air conditioner was blowing hot air in 90-degree heat, and had to drive more than 700 miles with it, on a timeline. Then had a clerk who couldn't do anything about the problem. $1300.00. Totally unsatisfactory! Will look at other companies in the future. Hauling cabinets and windows. Lost future business.Leslie C.

I tried to return the trailer to this location at around 5:30 pm on Saturday as I was done with it. I was told they were too busy to accept it at that time and that I needed to come in the next day to drop it off. I think there was one other drop off at the time I was there and couldn't believe they wouldn't let me drop it off. I did the after hours drop off after they closed and it took me maybe 5 minutes to complete the drop off by following the directions on the Uhaul app.Ryan H.

I arrived on time for my 10:00 am pickup, and I had to wait for 20 minutes for someone could check me in. After checkin I left around 10:30 am, I paid for a 6 hour rental but only got a 5 1/2 hour rental because they didn't extend my drop off time by a half hour. I can understand why they would do this if the customer was late for their pick up but that was not the case this time.VICKY M.

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. Brittany and Dale had the worst customer service and called us liars, because me tried to make them keep their word. The tow hitch installation guy was so incompetent and rude. Waited 4 hours just to have half the work do e, then tried to charge us an extra 200 above the quoted price for the lights. That was in top of the 160 already wuoted for the lights. 360 just for the lights? We took our car before they put them on (after he tried putting wrong ones on). We were not paying an extra 200. Told them charge the card on file we already gave them. They called the police and lied to the police, saying they had no card on file. We gave them the card number when we made the reservation. Will be filing a civil suit. I don't feel safe with the weld job from these people.julie H.

The on-site staff was very rude. Offered absolutely no support when the u-haul broke down was told to call the roadside assistance number & the callback time was over 3 hours. Finally had a neighbor get the u-haul started. On-site staff was notified the following day when vehicle was returned and staff asked why this was not reported...reported the incident the day of and was deferred to the roadside assistance number. 2/10 would not recommend this location to anyone else.KELLY H.

The facility is too small for the traffic and use it is getting. Staff were always pleasant and pretty helpful. UBoxes blocked my indoor access door for days and were next moved into the indoor loading area. This made moving my stored stuff more challenging. This was a case of what I consider false advertising. First, I was lead to believe that my storage unit was secured when I made the reservation for my Uhaul truck. I later came to find out that it was not secured, that there were no available units and that I needed to keep calling until one opened up. After many calls One finally opened up and I reserved it. Second, I came to then find out that this facility does not honor the "first month of storage free" as advertised on the Uhaul website. The clerk at the Moscow, ID store acknowledged this was a problem as many customers expect the first month free and are upset when they find out this is not the case. Because storage units are hard to come by I went ahead and paid the $189 for the first months rent. I could never discuss the matter with Brittany the manager as she was never at the store when I stopped in and I got tired of waiting on hold on the Uhaul 800 number. Third, the unit was not climate controlled as advertised. All of the climate controlled units were apparently full. I reserved the unit , paid in full and it sat empty for a month while I searched and waited for a climate controlled unit. One finally came open, I canceled my unit with Uhaul and moved my belongings into another facility. Based on the false advertising : no units available, no climate controlled units available and no first month free as advertised I would like a full refund of my $189. As mentioned, the interior of the storage facility was well maintained. I believe however that the staff should be careful to keep the entrance to the storage clear always so that people can drive through. Many times this has not happened. Online, I reserved a 10x15 storage unit and received a confirmation notice for that specific size. The website noted that there was one 10x15 unit available and that is what I reserved (two days prior to rental). When I arrived at the UHaul facility in Moscow with a UHaul truck full of my household furnishings and after driving 300 miles that day (Boise to Moscow), the UHaul attendant informed that there were no units that size available in spite of my reservation. I asked what options existed and she told me I could either rent a 5x10 unit or go find another storage facility. I reiterated that I had a confirmation for the 10x15 unit and again asked what options existed as one 5x10 unit would not be sufficient. She repeated the same two options and offered no other solution. After letting her know that the 5x10 was 1/3 the size of a 10x15 and that it would not be large enough, I asked if there were possibly two 5x10 units available. She replied that there were but that they were not located close together. I asked if would be possible to rent both of the 5x10 units at the same price as the 10x15 since there is an inordinate price differential based on square footage. For example, the cost of a 10x15 unit is approximately $1 per square foot per month. The cost of a 5x10 unit is approximately $2 per square foot per month. She advised that she would request the modified cost for the units but that it could not be confirmed until Monday, June 15. I also said that I would need another lock, which she provided at no cost (which was very kind of her). I would like to say that she seemed hesitant about her ability to handle this situation and it was apparently hard for her to have to tell a customer that the unit that was confirmed was not available - a situation she should not have been put in by the company. Knowing that she was not responsible for UHaul's lack of integrity in honoring a confirmed reservation, I thanked her for her help. She was very pleasant but did not seem to be able to think of helpful solutions until prompted with ideas that I generated. I would like to thank her for helping me and I feel bad that she was put in that situation by her employer, but I would have also liked for the solutions to have been presented by the company making the error. Since the final rental cost will not be approved until Monday, June 15, I would also like to request that the two 5x10 units that I ended up renting be charged at the monthly rate of $1 per square foot (equivalent to the cost of the 10x15 unit) which would be approximately $100 per month, rather than the rate of the 10x15 unit, since I am only getting 100 square feet of storage space instead of 150 square feet. Please let me know if this reduced monthly rate will be honored due to the error made by UHaul. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request. I arrived at the U-haul in Moscow Idaho in the cold of winter. Contrasted by the rigors of the harsh weather and misery of moving where helpful U-haul attendants. Sure there are always those in line ahead of you with a rant about this or that, but these people are the real deal. They treated me very fair, courteous and even when I was a bit short - went the extra mile! I thought to bring them a little something to show my appreciation, but the COVID19 has got me thinking otherwise. The least I can do is leave a stellar review to showcase how nice these folks are to do business with. Thanks for a pleasant move in the worst of conditions.
