Employees at this location will glare and rudely exit upon a customer walking in to avoid work. No "hello" just left for 10 min standing there. Eventually a kid comes in and asked "what are you here for?" Returning the truck at 4pm They locked the door as we walked up. Then a guy opens the door to yell "you have to do it online!" and locks it again. Every one of them needs fired. Customers would be better served by a self service kiosk. The people answering the corporate number get 5 stars and should all have raises.Shawna H.

Staff is incredibly helpful, patient, and friendly even under pressure. My biggest complaint is "equipment is guaranteed, the location isn't" coupled with being promised the equipment IS available at my location then being told it ISN'T. This is an extremely poor way to run a business. Despite being promised equipment will be available at my chosen location 2 days before my reservation, I was awaken to a 7:30 a.m. call the day prior to my reservation to be told the equipment wasn't available. If "people don't return equipment on time so we can't promise it'll be available" is true, start assessing significant late-return penalties (like $50/hour) so that your responsible customers don't have to go through this crap. (Yes, I returned my equipment 12 hours in advance!).Adrienne S.

I have rented a storage locker here. They let me leave without signing the actual contract and than wanted me to come sign it in person 2 months later...I live in MT. The Uhaul rental I reserved online and paid for couch covers, bed bags and wrapping paper etc. I asked twice if those things were in the truck and they acted annoyed that I asked. Sure enough, I get an hour away with the moving crew and there's none of it. I own a staging company and had to haul all if my belongings without these care items. My white Linen couches have marks all over them, glasses, dishes and vases broke. This location is extremely rude and lazy. I have worked with a lot of uhauls and really dislike going to this one.Scottie C.

I will never use or recommend to anyone to come here. The customer service was horrible. The record of my contract was incorrect. No one had any helpful information to give and seemed only to have the goal of charging me as much as possible for anything. Absolutely awful. I had to return the next day before leaving town as the wiring was broken and had to be repaired. They were very busy that day as it was the weekend of two nearby college graduations. The rental person did a light check, but I felt like something may have been wrong. Sure enough, we had to back track that morning to have it fixed.Candice B.

Worst experience I have ever had. I had a reservation for 8:30AM pickup but I was told the day before the truck wouldn't be ready until 3pm. They told me they had no other equipment available but after speaking to customer service they happened to have a 26' truck. Very unprofessional and rude staff.Conner R.

Reserved a 15 foot but was assigned a 26 foot truck. Then the truck was lean but was low on oil and fuel and when this was mentioned to the workers they were rude initially. They eventually addressed the issue once pressed on the matter.Scott V.
Staff was very rude and dismissive when I went to pick up the auto transporter. When they attached it to the rented UHaul truck, they refused to chain my car to the auto transporter. My 21-year old daughter was then told to crawl underneath the auto transporter to chain the car properly by the staff. Even when she was unable to get it correct, they refused to help. As we left the location, the autotransporter wheel strap continuously fell off, we were scared.Fatima L.

I was told my truck would be a 10 ft truck and be locked up in Pullman or Moscow. The day before pick-up I was told I would have to travel to Lewiston to get it and that it was a 15 ft truck After complaining, they found a 15 ft truck in Moscow. Corporate did subtract $50 off the rental and the Moscow location gave me another 100 free miles which I did not need. Pretty sure the $50 savings was eaten up by the gas used in the bigger truck Corporate told me to ask for more and when I did at the Moscow location the person said â€œthat was all I was gettingâ€ and I would have to talk to corporate. Several other people experienced the same situation, even having to go to Spokane for their pick-up after being told it would be in Pullman or Moscow. We were all there for a graduation and did not have time to travel to another location 30 - 70 miles away. Your promise of the pick-up location means nothing. You lie and know you are lying.brian A.

I reserved a trailer for 8 hours, from 8:30 to 4:30. Didn't get the trailer until almost 9 and then was told I needed it back by 4 or I would be fined since they'd apparently promised my trailer to someone else during time I paid for. Got it back in time but it was close to 4 and very frustrating and stressful. Had to rush my whole day and didn't even get to say hi to family at my destination due to time constraints.Abraham B.

The general manager was rude when I went in. She talked to me rudely and treated me and others like crap. They gave me a FAULTY vehicle without running lights, have had to spend more money on a wiring harness that didn't work, and left in tears. An agent called an informed me that U-Haul is having issues with space in Lewiston. She told me instead of dropping off at Lewiston I now needed to drive to Moscow. I explained that I needed to drop the trailer off at Lewiston then unload the truck. I did not have the room to back the trailer in. I needed a place to unhook the trailer! She told me no, and that I would need to go to Moscow. She was not helpful at all! I asked her if she really cared about the situation she was putting me in. She didn't answer. I called Carrie at U-Haul in Lewiston. She was extremely helpful. To be honest she is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met! She let me park the trailer overnight and I was able to unload the truck without an issue. How I rate my experience, I give Carrie an A+, the agent on the phone a C-, the drop off guy at Moscow U-Haul a B. U-Haul did give me an extra day, which I did not use. I will still use U-Haul. Only 1 person was working when picked up truck and we had to wait close to an hour to get truck. I got a free trailer that I ended up not needing and tried to return early which ended up costing me more to return early. I didn't realize until after transaction was done because the kid helping me did it on his phone and didn't show me any details until after I had signed. Your web based uploads to finish the paperwork in the store are abysmally slow. It took 30 minutes to check out in the store even though I pre-registered online for the equipment. Totally unacceptable. This is not the store's fault but it is a poorly designed and poorly run system.Nathan A.

Had some lady almost run me over in the middle of units and let them know the General Manager was there which was amazing to see here hands on working with her employees instead of sitting in some office. The facility is too small for the traffic and use it is getting. Staff were always pleasant and pretty helpful. UBoxes blocked my indoor access door for days and were next moved into the indoor loading area. This made moving my stored stuff more challenging. This was a case of what I consider false advertising. First, I was lead to believe that my storage unit was secured when I made the reservation for my Uhaul truck. I later came to find out that it was not secured, that there were no available units and that I needed to keep calling until one opened up. After many calls One finally opened up and I reserved it. Second, I came to then find out that this facility does not honor the "first month of storage free" as advertised on the Uhaul website. The clerk at the Moscow, ID store acknowledged this was a problem as many customers expect the first month free and are upset when they find out this is not the case. Because storage units are hard to come by I went ahead and paid the $189 for the first months rent. I could never discuss the matter with Brittany the manager as she was never at the store when I stopped in and I got tired of waiting on hold on the Uhaul 800 number. Third, the unit was not climate controlled as advertised. All of the climate controlled units were apparently full. I reserved the unit , paid in full and it sat empty for a month while I searched and waited for a climate controlled unit. One finally came open, I canceled my unit with Uhaul and moved my belongings into another facility. Based on the false advertising : no units available, no climate controlled units available and no first month free as advertised I would like a full refund of my $189. I believe however that the staff should be careful to keep the entrance to the storage clear always so that people can drive through. Many times this has not happened. Online, I reserved a 10x15 storage unit and received a confirmation notice for that specific size. The website noted that there was one 10x15 unit available and that is what I reserved (two days prior to rental). When I arrived at the UHaul facility in Moscow with a UHaul truck full of my household furnishings and after driving 300 miles that day (Boise to Moscow), the UHaul attendant informed that there were no units that size available in spite of my reservation. I asked what options existed and she told me I could either rent a 5x10 unit or go find another storage facility. I reiterated that I had a confirmation for the 10x15 unit and again asked what options existed as one 5x10 unit would not be sufficient. She repeated the same two options and offered no other solution. After letting her know that the 5x10 was 1/3 the size of a 10x15 and that it would not be large enough, I asked if there were possibly two 5x10 units available. She replied that there were but that they were not located close together. I asked if would be possible to rent both of the 5x10 units at the same price as the 10x15 since there is an inordinate price differential based on square footage. For example, the cost of a 10x15 unit is approximately $1 per square foot per month. The cost of a 5x10 unit is approximately $2 per square foot per month. She advised that she would request the modified cost for the units but that it could not be confirmed until Monday, June 15. I also said that I would need another lock, which she provided at no cost (which was very kind of her). I would like to say that she seemed hesitant about her ability to handle this situation and it was apparently hard for her to have to tell a customer that the unit that was confirmed was not available - a situation she should not have been put in by the company. Knowing that she was not responsible for UHaul's lack of integrity in honoring a confirmed reservation, I thanked her for her help. She was very pleasant but did not seem to be able to think of helpful solutions until prompted with ideas that I generated. I would like to thank her for helping me and I feel bad that she was put in that situation by her employer, but I would have also liked for the solutions to have been presented by the company making the error. Since the final rental cost will not be approved until Monday, June 15, I would also like to request that the two 5x10 units that I ended up renting be charged at the monthly rate of $1 per square foot (equivalent to the cost of the 10x15 unit) which would be approximately $100 per month, rather than the rate of the 10x15 unit, since I am only getting 100 square feet of storage space instead of 150 square feet. Please let me know if this reduced monthly rate will be honored due to the error made by UHaul. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request. I arrived at the U-haul in Moscow Idaho in the cold of winter. Contrasted by the rigors of the harsh weather and misery of moving where helpful U-haul attendants. Sure there are always those in line ahead of you with a rant about this or that, but these people are the real deal. They treated me very fair, courteous and even when I was a bit short - went the extra mile! I thought to bring them a little something to show my appreciation, but the COVID19 has got me thinking otherwise.
