There was a man there who started yelling at me as soon as I pulled up to the location about moving my car. I told him I was temporarily parking my car in the area to pick up the keys to my rental truck but he refused to listen and continued to yell at me to move my car. I then moved my car and he said " go ahead and roll your eyes at me, I don't care" as I drove off. I went inside the store and the nice young lady asked me how my day was, I told her about the incident and she said she heard him yelling and apologized. I feel sorry she has to work with such a rude person. Will NEVER go to this location and will be telling all my real estate clients to not go here either.

Its lame that you will charge someone for gas they don't fill, but won't credit for extra gas left. Like I have to play some guessing game where the only options are break even or lose

Finally, this place is dialed in. The women who work here are very knowledgeable, great customer service and take a lot of crap off of the male customers. The vehicle cleaner/hitch woman is very good at her job. The office counter woman on Sunday morning was very good at her job.

What to improve?…..Have the workers on Monday morning actually want to do their jobs. I walked inside the building, told the person at front desk “I'm returning a vehicle”. He then proceeds to tell me to see the gentleman outside. I followed up with “where” as we could both look at the camera monitor and Nobody was in sight. Once i finally spotted the “gentleman” outside. The gentleman ask,”you're returning a vehicle?” I told him yes. He then sounded flustered and said “you didn't want to just return the vehicle online yourself?”. I then replied “I'm following instructions given to me on the paper. It says during business hours to follow return equipment signs and return thru you guys. Do you not want to do your job during business hours?” After that the gentleman continued to do the return vehicle process as he should've without questioning my choice of how to return the vehicle. The crew on Saturday morning/evening was great and helpful though

I have rented trailers from uhaul approximately 20 times and pre-checked in most times. But the store NEVER has any of my information when I arrive for pick up. Why is this?

I love the Renton Rainier Ave S store. It's the best location I've ever used. And they are consistently better than any of the many across the country and in the area that I have used. They are clean, friendly, and more quick with customer service than most. In my experience that have had two or three at the counter or close by to jump in if the line is getting long. Every Uhaul location should be more like this one.

I added gas (4-5 gallons) to the truck when finished moving, almost exactly where requested. Must not have been enough... an almost 30 $fuel surcharge was added which is frustrating.

Hi , yesterday I cane to the store and had the worst experience with horrible customer service from Bryan the manager . He is very rude and and had no idea see ideas that having customer service is very very important I will never do business w this location again and I will tell people not to rent from this store until this situation is handled

This location is excellent. However, my experience with Uhaul located at Valley Sorage on 84th in Kent left me scrambling, being notified 15 minutes before pickup that there were no dollies. So, I went to Renton location.

The after hours check in process is terrible. The app and customer interface is the worse I have ever seen. It's like you have went out of your way to design something as difficult as possible for the customer to use just so you can try and pump the bottom line.

Truck was at the wrong location resulting in last minute rush. Was supposed to be equipped with two hand trucks and a furniture dolly; had one hand truck and no furniture dolly. Walk-around app would not open.

Have the truck where you said that I can get it, I booked it in West Seattle, then, you just told me that I had to pick up and drop off in Renton, that affects the price and my budget.

Interior had scraps of paper and dirty. The clerk required the location where we are going. I left my phone at home but figured after filling out application and the confirmed it with destination it would show. But he said he still needed the address. Also the biggest rip off in that ibsaid I didn't need the added insurance which I have Tripoli AAA and my personal insurance but was still billed. But what was worse is after delivering the truck he said the dealer in renton marked fuel as full but it was only 3/4 full. It says to fill only to what you leave at but it showed full on the paper with a dark mark on the papers. I filled it with 25 gal to full mark accidentally and luckily I did because had I only did it at 3/4 I still would have been charged 3 $per gal extra and 30 $service fee had I only filled 3/4.

The regular employees (a young woman with glasses & a middle aged gentleman with beard stubble) were great and helpful. The manager was a huge asshole and ruined an otherwise pleasant experience. His tone was disrespectful, his interaction with me was very clinical/unpersonable (as if I was a number), he just seemed like a miserable person.

The check in girl apparently the manager was unbelievably rude and told me to go take it to another location when I was told I could drop it off there. She literally said, ‘that's not my problem' and could not refer me to anyone when I asked who else I could speak with to resolve the situation. A totally disappointing experience. I will never return to U-Haul Storage of Renton.

The manager was a huge dick. The employees themselves (a young woman with Glasses & an older gentleman with a slight beard) were awesome and helpful. The manager himself seemed like a miserable person and tarnished what was otherwise a decent experience.

Charged us fraudulently for gas. Disputing with UHaul and credit card. They told us they would email receipt and they just had us hand over the keys, he didn't check gas level in front of us.We put more than the 3/4 of a tank that we received the truck.

For starters I made a reservation but need to move it up… a day earlier so I called it in to see if it was available to do so. Uhaul rep couldn't do it from her computer so I was directed to go to actual place I was renting from. The rep was knowledgeable but rude!!! I would utilizes him or uhaul again.

Honestly, everyone's prices have gone up recently from copper wire to food, so I can't really complain about a different pricing scheme every time I move... but U-Haul is still the best in the business for apartments and small homes.

The estimate for how much has was needed to get it to the necessary level was WAY OFF. It said I needed to put in 21,9 galena to get to 3/4 of a tank, I put in 18 and filled it up, eating my money that I'll never get back. Also, everything was supposed to be done by the app, the app didn't work at the location to check it out, and when I returned the truck after hours the app was down for maintenance so I ended up on hold for 15 minutes in a sketchy neighborhood waiting for an operator to answer the phone so I can finally turn in the truck. Not great.

Take care of the customer instead of trying to be right and prove a point. I was called 12 hours before going to pick up the truck that the truck I reserved was no longer available. Instead of having a one way trip truck, I now had to rent a local truck and bring it back 12 hours so other customers didn't screwed even though I was currently in the process of being screwed. The “manager” that called me said to take it or leave and didn't offer any other solutions. I called the morning of my pickup to speak with this manager again and they said he would call me back. I'm still waiting. I wasn't looking for a free truck. I was looking for someone to understand that I was being inconvenienced and to come up with realistic solutions instead of saying take it or leave it. I reserved my truck a week in advance. Good Customer service goes a long way. Unfortunately I didn't get any of that from uhaul.

These rental totes were extremely dirty! Which was pretty disgusting, since we were using them to pack clothes, kitchenware and other household items in them! Each box had to be cleaned before use. I took pictures to send to U-haul. There's no way these are being cleaned and sanitized before being rented out to the next customer.

Lots of damage to the truck that wasn't marked. Gas wasn't where I was told it was. Mileage wasn't what I was told it was. I was also told when I picked up my vehicle that if I ran into any issues where I needed the track an extra day I could just call in. When an emergency did come up I called to add an extra day and was treated with the worst customer service I've ever had. It's stressful enough moving and the attitude and fires hard for myself and my family was down right disrespectful and appalling. I will NEVER use Uhaul again because of how I was treated.

Customer service was poor at this location. They also tell you that you are short on fuel even if you have a receipt for the fuel you put in. Guess they want you to put in more fuel than it had. Would never recommend this place.

U haul should fill up all rentals 100 % before customers rent them. That way when customers go to fill them up afterwards we don't waste gas trying to remember where the fuel level was. It's too hard to guesstimate the exact level. Every time I rent a vehicle from U haul the gas level is between 75 % and 85 %. I'm sure U haul makes a lot of money on gas that its customers pay for doing it this way but it's wrong. Just fill the vehicle up beforehand. Simple solution. if it could be proven that this is a consistent u haul policy, can you imagine the lawsuits that would follow?

I believe I was overcharged. When I inquired the guy in the store wasn't able to explain the charge/cost. He directed me to call the store manager on Monday to get explanation. This is a bad customer experience and the guy in the store doesn't know to do his job. Even when I rented the equipment I had multiple bad experiences.

When I got the trailer, it appeared some one used it for dumping garbage. There was mud and chicken bones in it. When I returned it, I was charged with a cleaning fee. Next time, I will make the associate clean the trailer before I take the trailer.

The truck assigned to me had very little gas, less than 1/4 tank, which made it very tense for me as I needed to deliver equipment for a vaccination clinic on a schedule and hoped and prayed i wouldn't run out of gas on the way. AND the check-out documentation from U-haul said there was 1/2 a tank, which required me to dispute and document that before driving off the lot. Then I was overcharged by a lot for gas when i returned the vehicle and had to dispute it to get a refund of 143,46 $, which was graciously given. It just made me wonder if this is a practice to get more money out of customers around fuel, or was it multiple honest mistakes that put the burden on me to protect myself from over-paying? It felt not cool.

Not often I leave a comment after a standard customer interaction, but this u-haul experience was top notch. The person who helped me reserve the truck was super helpful. The woman who helped me at check-in was quick and precise and the guy who did the post-rental inspection was very efficient. Thanks for making a day which is typically stressful and exhausting just a little bit smoother.

Water leaks at the front and rear of the storage unit and no heads up about the leaks so a ton of my belongings got wet, molded and ended with a significant loss. Notified manager about leak in front and brushed it off saying was from lifting the door when there was a clear hole in the front seal and the door doesn't fully close. How can my stuff be wet and moldy from lifting the door when I haven't been to the unit in months? Are the employees opening the door? I would have stored my stuff longer but doesn't seem like U-Haul cares about paying customers personal belongings and obviously doesn't need my money so taking my business elsewhere.
