Renton was great, but my reservation for a 5x8 trailer at Lynnwood wasn't filled with no explanation and no help from UHaul customer reps. Staff at Lynnwood was rude and cold, they couldn't care less for my situation. Fortunately I had this backup reservation under my wife's name or else we would still be waiting to move across the country. Uhaul needs to better manage their reservations and fleet availability, this is unacceptable when families depend on your promises! I plan to leave many other reviews about this experience to warn others.

Due to my fault, I was 2 hours late arriving to pick up the truck, so they had released it to another customer (It was a very busy end-of-month weekend). However, the staff were diligent in finding a truck for me if I promised to have it back before closing that day--I eagerly accepted. The move was a success. Thank you very much.

There was only one employee working on Saturday morning which is probably one of the busiest business days and a line was throughout the building. The Uhaul computer system was also apparently not working so we couldn't purchase any of the boxes, moving straps, mattress protectors, and other items we needed. When we went to return the truck the night before our cutoff the Uhaul website was also not working properly and we could not get through to customer service. There were three other people in the parking lot having the same issues. The next day we attempted to call Uhaul three times to make sure they knew we dropped off the truck early since the system wasn't working and we were hung up on repeatedly. I will never use Uhaul again.

I wouldn't recommend this facility to my worst enemy. Rude staff. Misleading information rented for 1 day 19,95 plus mileage, we chose to insure as well. Drove 48 miles total final cost 121 . Charged for 2 day's for rental and insuran

Pulling out of that parking lot is a bit of a scary nightmare, though I don't know what exactly could be done to fix it. Everyone inside was super nice and helpful. Merci!

Remove your mask mandate. I feel like I'm about to be robbed. Also, masks are about as effective at stopping any virus as your underwear is to stop a fart. Stop playing into unelected $cience. Have accurate dimensions for equipment. I reserved a 4'x7' trailer hitch, the smallest trailer available, because I could get everything I was moving at once, however the trailer that I got was extremely small. When I couldn't arrange my items sideways (which was just over 3'7") I knew it wasn't my imagination that it was under 4' wide. I then grabbed a tape measure and confirmed that instead of being 4'/48" wide it was only 3'4"/40". The 8" under what was advertised made me have to arrange items much differently than I had planned and made a second trip necessary, adding an extra 3 hours on the road, all because the specifications advertised were not accurate. When I finally returned the trailer, I measured the 4'x9' trailer, which was noticeably wider at a glance, and found that it was accurate. Despite both being labeled 4' wide, they were not the same width.

The manager needs an attitude adjustment. Not my fault her employee quit suddenly. She took it out on customers. Arrived back minutes before 5 pm and told I had to check in on line. Not a good experience. The equipment was fine.

At both locations, the website would not work with my phone.

The one person on staff was doing the best he could, and he was polite. However, there were about 8-10 people waiting, and trucks/trailers lined up to the street waiting to be checked in. It was actually a rather dangerous situation. I parked to the side, waited around a bit, tried to call corporate instead but gave up at the "43 minutes expected wait time" message, so I dropped off the keys and left. Again, I've had much better experience with UHaul, and it seems like business is booming, so what's the problem?

Further explanation of additional fees prior to rental. I found out when I saw my receipt it cost 1,20 $ per mile driven. Had I know this, I never would have rented. My 19,95 hour cost me over 70 $after fees. I know these fees are not determined by location so I do not fault them for charging me as they're just doing their job, but I'll never rent a truck from U-Haul again as long as home Depot offers a legitimate 19,95 $ rental.

A sign stating where to put the vehicle for inspection purposes would have been extremely useful. If there was one, it was not easily seen, especially for someone who doesn't use a rental vehicle often.

The smartphone check in was confusing and I couldn't log into my account from the link provided in the confirmation email. I had to call for assistance at the 800 number. The woman who helped me was amazing and walked me through every step. She was kind and patient and very capable. There was a woman working there who also helped me even though the location wasn't open yet as it was 7am. Even though I had a frustrating problem the help I received was over and above anything I expected. Thank you so much!

Fix the uhaul app.....I used the after hours return........I got stuck at the "Add Photo ".....I tried more than a dozen times to add the Photo of the trailer.....I could take the photo but it would not upload.......Camera was selected in the app settings......I called 24/7 truck to complete the return After more than 20 minutes on hold I gave up and hung up.....I returned the next morning to complete the return process! Very inconvenient!!!

I was charge for renting a van that would not accommodate a sliding door I needed to Pickup. I gave the sales associate the dimensions of the Sliding door and she stated the patio door would fit in at an angle. She didn't give me a receipt and I have no Ideal what I was charged . I asked for her manager information and was the given the phone number to the location. Very disappointed!!!

Received confirmation the trailer was in kirkland but i had to go to Renton to pickup. You need to send confirmation with location and also not confirm for something that is not there.

The lady who completed my reservation was great but the return experience was unreal. The man who did the return was rude and revved the van into the return tent like a maniac right before yelling "watch out". He had no customer service skills whatsoever. This location would've gotten 5 stars if I dropped the keys in the box and never dealt with him at all.

There was a man there who started yelling at me as soon as I pulled up to the location about moving my car. I told him I was temporarily parking my car in the area to pick up the keys to my rental truck but he refused to listen and continued to yell at me to move my car. I then moved my car and he said " go ahead and roll your eyes at me, I don't care" as I drove off. I went inside the store and the nice young lady asked me how my day was, I told her about the incident and she said she heard him yelling and apologized. I feel sorry she has to work with such a rude person. Will NEVER go to this location and will be telling all my real estate clients to not go here either.

Its lame that you will charge someone for gas they don't fill, but won't credit for extra gas left. Like I have to play some guessing game where the only options are break even or lose

Finally, this place is dialed in. The women who work here are very knowledgeable, great customer service and take a lot of crap off of the male customers. The vehicle cleaner/hitch woman is very good at her job. The office counter woman on Sunday morning was very good at her job.

What to improve?…..Have the workers on Monday morning actually want to do their jobs. I walked inside the building, told the person at front desk “I'm returning a vehicle”. He then proceeds to tell me to see the gentleman outside. I followed up with “where” as we could both look at the camera monitor and Nobody was in sight. Once i finally spotted the “gentleman” outside. The gentleman ask,”you're returning a vehicle?” I told him yes. He then sounded flustered and said “you didn't want to just return the vehicle online yourself?”. I then replied “I'm following instructions given to me on the paper. It says during business hours to follow return equipment signs and return thru you guys. Do you not want to do your job during business hours?” After that the gentleman continued to do the return vehicle process as he should've without questioning my choice of how to return the vehicle. The crew on Saturday morning/evening was great and helpful though

I love the Renton Rainier Ave S store. It's the best location I've ever used. And they are consistently better than any of the many across the country and in the area that I have used. They are clean, friendly, and more quick with customer service than most. In my experience that have had two or three at the counter or close by to jump in if the line is getting long. Every Uhaul location should be more like this one.

I added gas (4-5 gallons) to the truck when finished moving, almost exactly where requested. Must not have been enough... an almost 30 $fuel surcharge was added which is frustrating.

Hi , yesterday I cane to the store and had the worst experience with horrible customer service from Bryan the manager . He is very rude and and had no idea see ideas that having customer service is very very important I will never do business w this location again and I will tell people not to rent from this store until this situation is handled

This location is excellent. However, my experience with Uhaul located at Valley Sorage on 84th in Kent left me scrambling, being notified 15 minutes before pickup that there were no dollies. So, I went to Renton location.

The after hours check in process is terrible. The app and customer interface is the worse I have ever seen. It's like you have went out of your way to design something as difficult as possible for the customer to use just so you can try and pump the bottom line.

Water leaks at the front and rear of the storage unit and no heads up about the leaks so a ton of my belongings got wet, molded and ended with a significant loss. Notified manager about leak in front and brushed it off saying was from lifting the door when there was a clear hole in the front seal and the door doesn't fully close. How can my stuff be wet and moldy from lifting the door when I haven't been to the unit in months? Are the employees opening the door? I would have stored my stuff longer but doesn't seem like U-Haul cares about paying customers personal belongings and obviously doesn't need my money so taking my business elsewhere.
