Worst moving experience of my life. I arranged for my uhaul to be delivered to the Mobil Gas station near my home. I did this because I wanted to save 8 miles on the truck and my pocket. I received multiple confirmations that this was where it would be. When I arrived at the Mobil they were closed and there was no uhual. I had to go to the Tigard uhaul to find my truck. When I asked why my truck was not where it was supposed to be the lady at the counter was rude and dismissive. She had no explanation for me but said maybe they didn't have one available. Looking into the parking lot there were plenty of trucks that could have been dropped off. Pure laziness is all I can assume. Once I was ready to check out the cost was triple the one I was told it would be. Finally I got my keys, did my inspection and took the truck. When I returned the truck, I parked it out front. Someone came out and said to me leave the keys and we'll check it in and email you the final receipt. I felt very uncomfortable leaving a truck there without any idea of what I'd be charged. I should not have been charged for the 8 extra miles from where I picked up the truck and where I was supposed to pick up the truck. I'd like to be reimbursed for the cost of the 8 extra miles and gas that this used to go those 8 extra miles. I feel this is only fair. I'm expecting a credit of at least 30,00 $ to my card. I'd like a phone call to confirm this transaction. You have my information. ThanksDarcy P.

The 20' van I reserved was there, but after I had gone through online check in, they could not find the keys. They made me take a 26' which the agent said he would give me for the same price. Except the 20' and 26' rentals already were the same price and I told him I preferred the 20'. When I returned the vehicle to the same employee I mentioned all the difficulty I had maneuvering the 26' van and how things had to be packed because there was too much space. I moved into unit 108 on 04/22/21 and the employee who took care of me was beyond excellent! I wish I could remember her name, but unfortunately I am terrible with names. The cab wasn't wiped down before we got it so due to covid we had to use our own wipes to clean it. Also the after hour return wasn't clear on what to do with the key so I put it in the truck,thinking they would have a spare. They told me they would give me a 26 $credit if I brought the truck back with 1/4 tank. We did & I never got the credit. When I returned the truck and asked if they would do the credit, The guy who took back the truck said â€œyes, we will give the credit as we see the same contract as youâ€ and totally brushed me off. With the computer system down your folks at the counter provided excellent customer service. They weren't standing still for a minute. I was very impressed with how well they were handling a very difficult situation. When the rep went to hook up the trailer he noticed I needed a 7 pin connector converter. I was grateful that you guys had the truck of the right size, unfortunately the design of the truck was not well suited for my design, the objects had alot of trouble getting past the well indentations. The brakes weren't so good and made strange noises. I think these trucks are great for moving clothes and some furniture but not heavy equipment. It was super dirty. And customer service was not great. Then when returning. The questions asked if it was dirty I said yes. And charged me a 20 dollar cleaning fee. I rent here at this location often , this vehicle was NOT CLEANED the pick up bed lots of mud , rocks . The vehicle had less gas than the card stated. It was also not washed on the exterior. This was the first time i have received a vehicle in this condition. Usually there clean and sanitized. ???JAMES ROBERT B.
While the vehicle was clean three miles into our trip the tire exploded and we were stranded on the side of the road for two hours. When this was taken care of by roadside assistance I received a phone call from our original drop off location of Gresham if we could go out of our way to drop off the truck at the Clackamas Town Center, which we did. We were told we would receive a discount and free extra mileage, but it does not look like that was applied. In this case our experience was not excellent, but rather below average.SHAWN SELWYN F.

The truck was exceptionally loud - like abnormally so - I have rented plenty of U-hauls none of them were loud enough to literally make me jump every time i started the engine. I originally reserved a 10' x 20' unit. A staff person at the location "un-reserved" the unit and rented it to someone else. The location and the van were fine, that awful bit was using the phoneapp to pick up. It was 40 minutes from the time I started trying to get through the check in process to leaving the parking lot in the van - I tried calling to say that the phone app processing wasn't working but couldn't get an actual human on the phone, only a useless recording, and finally found the chat icon (which wasn't readily obvious) and was told to login to the website instead, which then worked. This drove me NUTS, took forever and was super stressful and then had to rush like hell to complete the task I rented the van for. I HATED it. Staff at location perfectly nice and helpful, nothing but good to say about them. Less idiot automation, pay some humans to do a decent job.Gaabriel B.

I am a regular customer who rents a van 2 to 4 times a month for business. I requested a van with a sliding side door rather than side cargo doors. When I asked if they could hold one for me I was told "NO". I was told "Whatever key is on the first hook is they van that they rent first". They just offered to cancel my rental order as a solution. I hate the online process for reserving a truck. The checkout process is even worse through the application. I was never able to reach anybody by phone. Waited once for 20 minutes. I had rented a Uhaul truck to move the remaining items that were in my storage. I ended moving these items that were left in my storage unit by myself, items such as a washer/dryer and Huge wall hanging pictures. I have emphysema causing me to stop several times cause I was having a hard time breathing. By the time I was done securing my belongings in the Uhaul truck it was after hours and I could not get out of the gate. I called the 800 number for Uhaul and got the answering service apparently, they got ahold of the general manager. The general manager told the answering service to tell me he's not going to open the gate and if I called the police to get out I would get it for trespassing. I informed uhaul's answering service that I have emphysema and I don't have an extra inhaler with me and could she try to get ahold of someone to let me. She eventually was able to get ahold of someone who providered her with a gate cade to get out. I would never recommend this business to anyone, not even my worst enemy! Worst customer service experience I've had in years. Moving is already stressful enough and the Tigard uhual location made things much worse.this is what happened: -when given a log in for the gate and a storage locker, it was put under the name "craigger hall" and not my name, I had to get this all fixed which took an extra hour. -the original locker I was given was broken. The door was sagging and the lock wouldn't align with the holes, so you couldn't close the door. So I had to completely move out from 307 to 309, which took another extra hour. -when I called to make a hitch appointment I was scheduled for the upcoming Monday. I called that morning to confirm my noon appointment and they said it didn't exist, so they rescheduled. When I called the day before they still didn't have it on the calendar, when I looked at my reservation it was for Little Rock, AR, not Tigard Oregon, had to reschedule a 3rd time and this took more time. I asked 3 times that they make sure my storage locker rental would terminate on the 23rd, each time they said no problem, then I get an email 8 days after the 23rd saying to remember to pay for my locker rent on the 8th, meaning it never got canceled. The tigers staff seemed annoyed rather than apologetic. I completely understand why the Tigard location has 2,3 stars on google and assume that rating will continue to plummet. All and all, you guys made life more stressful, your equipment was dirty and broken, and your staff is unhelpful and poorly trained. Everything was great. I did have some issues getting into the building initially but that was resolved. And at the end of my time, I checked with the office staff and closed things out (recorded in the computer) but was charged for an extra month. Huge stain in the middle of the room, I don't know what it is. Some sort of green substance. Sticky and mildew on the walls. Water leaks into the room. Huge beam in the middle of the room that takes away storage space. Hallway is not maintained and it advertised as climate control unit, not even close. It's so cold in the unit and inside the building I have to wear my winter coat. They supposed heating units are so covered by mold And dirt ,I am not sure when the last time they changed the filters. I moved 10 hours to Portland without knowing anything about the area the facility was located at. The U-Haul facility was great, well located, easy in an out and the units were clean.
