This was my second time that I have rented a truck from U-Haul on Jean-Talon Ouest. This office has the worst manager of all time. I do not know her name but she was there when I picked up the truck. She has a very bad attitude that makes me think how a company like U-Haul would give her that position. Zero customer service. Zero professional attitude. Angela inspected the truck for me. She's a very nice lady and very professional. The only problem is that she didn't mention if I move the dolly from it's place, I will be charged with an additional 7$. The other gentlemen who was sitting on the front desk, when I returned the truck, was very rude. He almost sounded like "what do you want?" when I first stepped into the office. The man did not check with me the truck. He only inspected the trunk of the truck. He made sure there was no defect and then he told me that I can go and I will receive an e-mail for my bill. I asked to check with him what I will be paying for. He did not comply. He just wanted me to leave. I mentioned to him that there was a mistake on the fuel analog when I first received the truck, but he just wanted me to leave and go check my bill receipt on my e-mail. He asked me if I used the dolly. I told him that I did not use it. I explained that I had to move it from the entrance of the door because I needed the space there. Still, I was charged 7$ for it. On the other hand, the fare that I was charged hit me badly. I was charged 70 dollars on gas (this is after filling the tank for 40 Dollars before returning the truck). I drove the truck for around 100 Miles. I paid 70 + 40 = 110 CAD for gas! Thank you for your service. Thank you for your customer care. Unfortunately, This will be my last time I rent any kind of vehicles from U-haul. I know it's not your fault, but you better hire people who are decent to your clients. Happy New Year anyway!

Terrible experience. The employee at the Uhaul (3850 Jean-Talon West) forced me to take insurance even though I was already covered with my own insurance. He refused to believe me unless I called my insurance company in front of him -- this was not possible given I was on a very tight schedule. Horrible customer service. I would not recommend to anyone. Going forward I will use Budget, Discount or Avis for my trucking needs.

The call center was okay but when we got to get the truck they said we had to have it back by 6:00 am . I had reserved for 24 hours . Then we brought it back and app didn’t work . I had to call at 7:00 am to make sure not to be charged the 20 dollars . They confirmed that it would not be charged and I was charged . Had to call back and talk to many people before finally got an email saying it will be refunded . So ridiculous . The person at Jean talon was very rude and I made a complaint about him . Mostly this bad review is due to him . The equipment was good

Honestly this was one of the best experiences I had. We needed a truck last minute to conduct a short notice move and Line at U-haul made our experience flawless. It would be far more appreciated if the contracts were offered in English. I am bilingual, yet prefer to have the choice of language. The contracts are difficult for me to understand so since you do business in the rest of North America and Canada included, you do have it. The laws in Quebec allow the availability in ENGLISH too

Excellent service professionnel de location de véhicules. Il est bien meilleur d’avoir une réservation avant de venir au bureau, sinon le temps d’attente se peut être d’une vingtaine de minutes. Le matériel est en état impeccable, la localisation du magasin, les prix très compétitifs ainsi que le personnel aimable et professionnel rendent Uhaul Jean Talon une localisation idéale pour n’importe quel besoin de déménagement ou entreposage. Je reviendrai.

The attitude that was given to us at the front desk was terrible. They cut us off from speaking to them, they would not let us speak. They yelled at us. They asked us if we had insurance, we said yes. And then she asked for proof because she didnt believe me. If I sign off on a piece of paper that I have insurance, thats my responsibility. It isnt your business to look at my insurance documents because you "dont believe me". It was a very uncomfortable experience. I will NEVER go to this Uhaul location again, and I will advice my friends of this as well.

Rip off. I usually rent from discount but this time decided to rent from uhaul despite the poor rating on google. I cleaned the truck prior to returning to avoid the 25$ fee charge but still I was charged that & was told it was full of “dust”. & the rep didn’t seem bothered. Worst experience.

J’y ai réservé une remorque le 8 octobre pour utilisation le 19 octobre. Lors de la prise de possession, il y avait TROIS remorques TOUTES INUTILISABLES. They are crooks. When I booked the truck, I asked for a day rent. It was 7 pm. After 45 mn waiting, the clerk looked at me and said bring it tomorrow at 7. I understood 7 pm (thant makes it a day) but she wrote down 7 am! The next day the Phone didn't stop ringing, I answered and clerk and his manageress started to shout at me & threatning me to send the police etc...I explained the was a day rent and I had 2 witnesses but they wouldn't listen. I ended up returning the truck This means, they rented me a night shift truck!!!! Instead of leaving in the parking lot. What a dishobest people, who took me for stupid. Just own the situation and try to help clients. Don't pass them to others that will pass them to others to go back to the start. It's a horrible experience going into circles to get your refund. And the solution was as simple pushing a button. It literally took 5 mnts to resolve the problem after balling me around for 1 hr.

They are a branch of uhual but they have their laws. They told me, if you want to get the truck you have to pay for 100 mile usage. since I reserve truck online and I need it to go and back in town about 10 mile. I reserved truck online and get an estimate about 60$ but they charge me 178$. They forced me that you have to pay this amount if you want your truck. i'm not happy whit them

Service was terrible and extremely inefficient. I’ve rented u-hauls over 10 times and this was by far the worst experience ever. Not only did it take 40 minutes to get my reserved truck, the employee never gave us updates or any information in regard to what was going on. The employee kept disappearing without a word and when I went outside to search for her after over 30 minutes to ask how much longer it would take, she lost her temper and started screaming at me even though I kept repeating that it wasn’t necessary. Awful and incompetent service. Never again.

My entire experience was horrible this time. Online checkin was a mess. I checked in and got to the stage to open the key box and when I did my key wasn’t there. Then I saw the truck I reserved taken by another client. I then called and Juan was amazing but it still took around 30mins to get me a different truck. Then I ended up only doing 2 miles with the truck and I ended up being billed $162 instead of about $45. I believe I got charged for gas overage and kilometers done by the people that took my original truck. This is painful and frustrating and needs to be corrected. I have sent the I fo on the website and will call the call centre today. But this has been an awful experience.

We usually have a very good experience at this U-Haul. This time, it was an awful experience. We arrived at 09h50 for our 10h00 reservation. We only left with the truck at 11h15. That's 1-1/2 hours. I cannot overemphasize that the young woman agent is not at all to blame. She was alone to do absolutely everything. There was a technical problem with the system. There were 5 clients to deal with. Our truck was buried behind other trucks. She had to move the trucks, handle the clients, answer the telephones. We didn't know what to do, as usually the truck is brought forward to us ready for departure. We rented a dozen blankets which usually are already in the back of the truck. We ended up carrying them back and forth across the lot as the situation developed. There was also a mix-up about the keys. It was entirely a terrible and unsatisfactory rental experience. The young woman had no business being left alone to handle an entire U-Haul dealership. I felt sorry for her. I trust that this won't happen again.
