Reserved a 15 foot truck weeks ahead. When I went there the agent keep arguing I reserved a 10 foot truck which was clearly not the case, my email reservation said 15 feet. The guy did not event wanted to look at my email and keep arguing it was 10. Very rude and condescending. Then the manager came and said " you should have gotten a text, email to notify for the switch. I did not received any kind of communication. I've been working on customer support for over a decade and could not believe when they said they overbooked the 15' trucks and could only let me get a 10' the morning of my big moving day. "You should have check your spam folder before coming here". First who check their spam email everyday and second i did not even received any kind of email. It messed up my whole moving day, had to do multiple back and forth and was not even able to complete it because half my stock could not fit. Have to schedule a second day of moving which is very problematic. Will never again do buisness with U-Haul, and already started sharing my bad experience with friends and told them to stay away for U-Haul. This situation is beyond ridiculous.Ã‰tienne B.
Inform them that the trucks' driver side doors are not supposed to be unlocked by key. I can see some overly reckless person breaking the key off in the lock thinking they could force the door open.Peter C.

Don't charge an after hours fee when there's a curfew because of a pandemic and people are rushing back home to not get a hefty fine. We tried to do the self check in at home but the app wouldn't let us. When I explained that to the people working at the office the next day they weren't sympathetic. Also, keep the gas tank full so people don't have to count the liters. they just fill it out. that's also a waste of time.Edam A.

Customer service was USELESS. I filled everything online to self checkout and he still made me waste 30 minutes inside while the nimrod couldn't figure out his head from his ass. And his two colleagues - MOTHER AND SISTER spent the entire time talking to a buddy on the phone and a friend visiting instead of helping the very useless child. The back of the truck was not clean with screws and nails at the back. It is not practical to rent a truck with 1/4 fuel tank filled. Why don't you just rent with full tank as everywhere? Poor customer service. When you rent, you have the choice to do it on your phone or at the counter. I rented a truck on a sunday from a grocery store that was a uhaul dealer and they decided the manager who was not working on a sunday left with the uhaul truck's keys so I wasted 2 hours of my day finding another truck. The app is super disorganized and if you do not rent the truck directly from a uhaul store I promise you'll get a headache.GHADI A.

The place was a disaster. Not clean. So mean with people. Not putting the mask properly, shouting to people to not enter more than 1 person per family!!!!! Even when it's empty. Inside cabin had not been cleaned. There were bags and empty containers which leads me to think that the steering, dashboard and seats were not disinfected. Everything else was terrific. - Truck partially covered in snow and had no snow brush to remove the snow resulting in the need to use hands uncomfortably - Truck not properly maintained - Oil life at 0 % as per the vehicle on board computer which is definitely a safety issue - Winter tires completely worn out which made the control of the truck in somewhat regular canadian winter conditions harder it should be - The vehicle was not already preloaded with the desired equipment (dolly) - we forgot it at the store and had to come back after a 10 min ride because no one instructed us to grab it on our way out - The loading ramp for the storage unit was completely slippery, it was difficult to stabilize the vehicle. No salt was used and the area was not maintained for the weather/size of vehicleYoussef M.

My truck wasn't clean but since I was in a hurry, I didn't advise the locator and decided to clean it by myself. In addition to this, the general condition of the mechanics looked poor (especially the brakes and the universal joint) and the truck had a bad behavior... When I told the responsible guy about it, he completely ignored my concern and charged me 91,xx$$ for the extra days I kept the truck without further notice. About 1 month ago I've used U-HAUL services in Drummondville and was very satisfied about everything! This time, my decision to use this locator was the proximity of my home and the deal similarity. Nous avons loué le local 2042 UHaul Jean-Talon O de sept. 2009 à nov. 2020. Le service a toujours été impeccable. Au cours des années, nous soulignons la courtoisie du personnel à notre égard, l'excellent travail de Mme Line Vaillant pour répondre à nos interrogations et ses suggestions pour régler le PEU de problèmes survenus au cours de ces 11 années. Le seul commentaire moins positif (et pour lequel il y a peu ou pas de solution) est le peu d'espace de stationnement pour les locataires aux heures d'achalandage. Même dans ces situations, le personnel a fait son possible pour nous aider, quitte à déplacer des camions UH. Horrendous treatment by staff. I was yelled at upon arrival for stepping inside despite no signs stating how many people were allowed inside. Then, despite making a reservation 2 weeks prior, they did not have a truck for me. So I left 45 min late for my move, which meant I was 45 min late to return, and they made me pay a late fee. I also watched them yell at another woman who did not understand English very well, as well as other customers. Even when I returned, I was yelled at by one employee who told me to park the van in one spot, and when I did so, another employee came over and yelled at me for parking in what he said was the wrong spot. Horrible treatment, I would not recommend this location at all.TAYANA S.
Unfortunately I cannot say anything positive because I was charged for gas even though I returned the van with a full tank. I tried calling the location to make it right but they refuse to help me. It's not right for them to be scamming people like this, I really expect more from a company like Uhaul. When I need a van or truck, up until this point I have trusted & always chose Uhaul. Uhaul, if you care at all about the actions of your locations and not running a shady business, please contact me and make this right. At this point it is more about the principle than the money. The first time I moved in, September 27, the guy who did my contract was actually rude. He shouted at me and my husband to enter « one at time ». My husband and I were together. I had to go in alone. The guy was impatient. When I went back to pay my renewal yesterday, October 26, there were two different guys quiet and friendly who did not shout « one at a time ». The facility was secure, however the hallway was not well lit. The lights in the hallway to the room we rented were inconsistent. Comedy of errors when I picked up the truck. Sent me to the wrong truck TWICE. Errors were noticed each time only after I inspected the trucks. Then I found out the that the wrong keys had been given to me, and that the truck that I had been assigned was a third one. Inspection again. The outside could have been cleaner. Then I was unable to send the "inspection confirmation" (whatever it is called) from my phone. Got fed up and left without sending it. Otherwise, the rest was fine.Andre C.

The Manageress, Line Vaillant, is wonderful!! She goes out of her way to do the best she can for her clients and is always friendly, hepful, and generally makes the experience a really good one. I finally closed my locker of 25 years as I am moving to Ontario, and I went to Line and opened a small locker for the overflow while moving. As always, an easy, unstressed successful solution is found. Line is super accommodating and I do believe this is what brings people back. It is for me! Found mouse or rat poop in my storage unit. Also, I saw a dead mouse on the first floor, took a picture of it as proof. I cancelled my contract 3 days after my reservation due to the filthiness of the place. Such a waist of money. The guy at the front desk didn't seem to care at all and he told me there's nothing he could do for me. I called the manager the next day, was told I would get a cal back. I'm still waiting.
