My truck wasn't clean but since I was in a hurry, I didn't advise the locator and decided to clean it by myself. In addition to this, the general condition of the mechanics looked poor (especially the brakes and the universal joint) and the truck had a bad behavior... When I told the responsible guy about it, he completely ignored my concern and charged me 91,xx$$ for the extra days I kept the truck without further notice. About 1 month ago I've used U-HAUL services in Drummondville and was very satisfied about everything! This time, my decision to use this locator was the proximity of my home and the deal similarity. It was a mistake I'll never do again!!!!

Nous avons loué le local 2042 UHaul Jean-Talon O de sept. 2009 à nov. 2020. Le service a toujours été impeccable. Au cours des années, nous soulignons la courtoisie du personnel à notre égard, l'excellent travail de Mme Line Vaillant pour répondre à nos interrogations et ses suggestions pour régler le PEU de problèmes survenus au cours de ces 11 années. Le seul commentaire moins positif (et pour lequel il y a peu ou pas de solution) est le peu d'espace de stationnement pour les locataires aux heures d'achalandage. Même dans ces situations, le personnel a fait son possible pour nous aider, quitte à déplacer des camions UH. C'est sans hésitation que nous avons recommandé UH Jean-Talon O à nos amis.

Horrendous treatment by staff. I was yelled at upon arrival for stepping inside despite no signs stating how many people were allowed inside. Then, despite making a reservation 2 weeks prior, they did not have a truck for me. So I left 45 min late for my move, which meant I was 45 min late to return, and they made me pay a late fee. I also watched them yell at another woman who did not understand English very well, as well as other customers. Even when I returned, I was yelled at by one employee who told me to park the van in one spot, and when I did so, another employee came over and yelled at me for parking in what he said was the wrong spot. Horrible treatment, I would not recommend this location at all.

Unfortunately I cannot say anything positive because I was charged for gas even though I returned the van with a full tank. I tried calling the location to make it right but they refuse to help me. It's not right for them to be scamming people like this, I really expect more from a company like Uhaul. When I need a van or truck, up until this point I have trusted & always chose Uhaul. Uhaul, if you care at all about the actions of your locations and not running a shady business, please contact me and make this right. At this point it is more about the principle than the money. I will not be taken advantage of by these scammers.

The first time I moved in, September 27, the guy who did my contract was actually rude. He shouted at me and my husband to enter « one at time ». My husband and I were together. I had to go in alone. The guy was impatient. When I went back to pay my renewal yesterday, October 26, there were two different guys quiet and friendly who did not shout « one at a time ». Your staff behaviour is inconsistent.

Aucune information ne dit que les camions ont été désinfectés. Uhaul devrait comprendre que l'on est au Québec et que certains comme moi ne parle ni l'anglais ni l'espagnol. Malgré avoir dit à plusieurs reprises que je ne parle pas l'anglais, ont m'envoie un sondage en anglais.

The facility was secure, however the hallway was not well lit. The lights in the hallway to the room we rented were inconsistent. Some lights were always on, however often other lights were off, leaving the hallway somewhat dark. These lights were not triggered by motion.

I reserved a 20 truck 1 month half ago but 1 hour before getting the truck,they called me that we cannot provide you a 20 on that location (20 km away)and you can go other location at 11 am ( i reservd at 8:30) . It's not fair. After all they told me if you return the truck in same location you can go get it on time. Even though I had reserved it 1.5 months ago.

I waited 30 mins to return a vehicle, 1 person at the register. This is not acceptable. Will definitely not be recommending this location to anyone. And also there is no need to be so pushy to sell your $18 insurance if I say no it's no. Get over it.

Comedy of errors when I picked up the truck. Sent me to the wrong truck TWICE. Errors were noticed each time only after I inspected the trucks. Then I found out the that the wrong keys had been given to me, and that the truck that I had been assigned was a third one. Inspection again. The outside could have been cleaner. Then I was unable to send the "inspection confirmation" (whatever it is called) from my phone. Got fed up and left without sending it. Otherwise, the rest was fine.

I was RIPPED OFF and charged an extra day when I should not have been. I returned the vehicle at 8pm, an hour before it was due. Unfortunately, you're app DID NOT WORK to complete checkout. I immediately contacted Uhaul support on Twitter, who advised me that they would make sure I was not charged. YOU THEN CHARGED ME FOR A LATE DAY!!!! I want my money back ASAP. I am unhappy

From the gentleman that coordinates your Check-in to the crew that met me when I returned, They all provided welcome guidance to make day move to Montreal a great experience. I work with hundreds of people as project manager, I would put all of this staff on my A Team - go to guy's. Yes I would highly recommend U-Haul sur Jean-Talon Ouest. JimB

the agent at this location was very rude... he forced me to buy the insurance, and he said if you don't want, i will block 1000$ on your credit card and you have to call customer service yourself to do it. This is not the first time I use U-Haul, and never an agent spoke to me like this, but for sure I will not recommend this location where this agent was working to anyone.

I was billed for 3 days instead of 3 hours. The first van had a dead battery. It has often seemed to me that U-Haul should work at speeding up the process. The employees were friendly.

They cancelled my 4-day reservation because I was 2 hours late and then I had to wait in line for half an hour to get the truck. My 10-ft truck was also changed to a 15-ft truck, which was much more stressful to drive.

The online authorization process while checking in was very long. After uploading drivers license picture, I had to wait 20 minutes before an agent authorised the transaction. 20 minutes under the sun in a parking lot waiting. During that time nobody would answer the chat. There should be a time indicator informing customers how long the wait is going to be.

I received the truck that I reserved in advance of 1 month at least 1 hour later. The clerk did not give us the couverture protection and the end I was charged for the couverture as well. I called to ask the reimbursement because of that, and the person and the phone told he could not do anything and also he hung out the phone and left talking alone. It was at Jean Talon Uhaul.

I had opted into the 24/7 car rental option and had a reservation for 7:30am. When i went there in the morning, the website was telling me that i suddenly had to wait until 9 for the store to open and get a hand delivery. I was on hold for 40 minutes with uhaul on the phone, and then the store representative came in around 8:15 and told me that they did not have any cars come in the last night, before the store closed. So i had to wait for him to go check all the vans one by one and i finally go a van at 9 instead of 7:30. I had moving people waiting for me, and because of the delay, i had to do the majority of my move under the pouring rain. If they made a promise to the customer to offer a car at 7:30 when the store is closed, they are responsible to honour that promise no matter what, even if it means they come in a bit earlier than usual or stay a bit later. The only reason why a 24/7 option is offered is for people not to have to wait for the store to open and pick up the car as early as they need it.

The Manageress, Line Vaillant, is wonderful!! She goes out of her way to do the best she can for her clients and is always friendly, hepful, and generally makes the experience a really good one. I finally closed my locker of 25 years as I am moving to Ontario, and I went to Line and opened a small locker for the overflow while moving. As always, an easy, unstressed successful solution is found. Line is super accommodating and I do believe this is what brings people back. It is for me! Thank you, u-Haul and team!

Found mouse or rat poop in my storage unit. Also, I saw a dead mouse on the first floor, took a picture of it as proof. I cancelled my contract 3 days after my reservation due to the filthiness of the place. Such a waist of money. The guy at the front desk didn't seem to care at all and he told me there's nothing he could do for me. I called the manager the next day, was told I would get a cal back. I'm still waiting. I'm so dissapointed by the service.

Rats destroyed my possessions. There were no rat traps. The halls were dark, lights taken out. Some staff were very good, but the manager at 3850 Jean Talon O., Montreal, was unprofessional.
