I ordered 2 dozen blankets and they did not have them even though I ordered the truck months in advance. I had to drive to another location to get them with the miles allocated for my move. I signed up online to pick up the truck at another location and it said online that if that had to be changed I would recieve a phone call about it. I never recieved a phone call. The guy at the uhaul place was helpful, but it seemed like uhaul never supplied the blankets to him. Very dissatisfied with my experience all around.

We dropped off the Uhaul during business hours. As we handed over the keys to the truck, we asked if there was anything else we had to do and the guy said everything was good so we left. The next morning, I got a text from Uhaul stating we need to drop off the truck by a certain time. I called customer service and she put notes in my order but I would still need to contact the drop off location to close out the drop off. She gave is the location’s number which matches the number found on google, but that number is not in service. I started calling the number from the text message, but the mailbox was full. Eventually, I got through and the guy remembered the drop off, said everything was fine again and they were just a little behind. Uhaul service then called again to tell me that we need to drop off the truck. I explained we already did the previous day and even spoke to the location earlier. I tried calling the location but they were already closed. I would never use this location again.

Overall really great pickup experience, easy reservation. Drop off was easy, just found it odd that they decided to charge for being 1 single mile over on a 1 day 1 way rental. Was "allowed" 46 miles to pickup the truck and drop it off at a location that's 45 minutes away. What about all the work and stops in between? Surprising it was only a mile over. The price of .43 cents doesn't matter, just the principle. I would rather keep the customer 100% happy rather than operating like that. Not a good look in my opinion as a business owner as well. Budget Truck Rentals for us next time. Thank you

Awful experience. Will never use Uhaul again. Spoke with about 10 people in order to even try to reserve a truck. Got transferred too many times and either people didn’t answer, couldn’t find the started reservation, or I got hung up on. I wound up having to go online to reserve it. Then I have to call back to extend the rental which I had to talk with three other people and the first said that was fine and took all my info and then at the end said “Actually I can’t do that here so I’ll have to transfer you.” Finally extended the rental. Then I go to pick it up at the planned location and no one is at the place. I call the place to say I am here to pick up a rental and he said “Oh Uhaul didnt call you? I told them I didnt have that truck and they were supposed to send you to a different location”. That nice man wound up calling internally and finding me another truck but 30 minutes away. Also, no one in the area had a 20 foot truck for me to rent like I had originally reserved. At this point I had to take the 15 foot because I needed a truck. So I call the new place to verify that they have a truck. The guy says he doesnt know and that I can’t come to get it for another hour. I already have people waiting at my house to help me move. I go right there instead and he does have the truck. The Uhaul website then isn’t working at the place. We eventually get it all working. I finally get a truck, not even the one that I originally reserved, and I move. I returned the truck via mobile phone after hours and that was fine. I will NEVER use Uhaul again. Worst experience with awful customer service.

Had a very poor experience, especially with the customer service over the phone. one out of five people I talked to were helpful. the pick up location changed on the day that my pickup was scheduled and I found this to be poorly organized and highly inconvenient. I was wrongly informed that if I arrive slightly (one hour) after the scheduled pick up time I would not be able to retrieve the vehicle, further adding to the confusion.

I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, very simple. The owner who I worked with was friendly and fair. He explained all the need to know before leaving with the truck. He told me that I could drop it off after he closed for the day if I needed to and that he has 24 hour drop off. I’d be lying if I said the truck was clean, but it’s a U-Haul so I wasn’t expecting it to be spotless. The truck ran good. Would definitely use him again

I feel that I was taken advantage of by U-Haul the company not Vito's service center. The price I paid was far too high at 1.99 per mile. I am sure there are ways that my fee could have been reduced as my trip cost $795. The 12 volt charger did not work and neither did the speedometer which made driving very dangerous. Truck was in poor condition but ran. I will certainly research other options next time.

Wasn't verbally informed of return policies. If I knew that I would be charged an extra day for returning after the place closes I would have brought it back the next day and not killed myself getting back that night. I guess just another money grab from greedy business owners. I'm sure it is in the contract but who reads all the fine print, so my bad. I try to support my local businesses but I guess they really don't care either way.

Gross tiny little junked up office. No where to park your car. Did not have any moving pads at this location. Won’t go back. Will use another UHaul location.

There was a sign to call a number when the truck got dropped off. I was told to leave the keys and someone would be on site within the hour to check the truck in. I didn't have any exchange with personnel.

Shop was a bit messy, would have been nice if the owner told us to check the back of the truck for cleanliness cause we didn't know to do that, and we got hit with a cleaning charge at the drop off point.

Nice to deal with a small rental agent such as this shop as opposed to some of the bigger U-Haul branded facilities. While it is definitely not a full-service operation with boxes and other retail items for sale, the staff were friendly and helpful, and using them was a great way to support a local small business.

(1) I was told they open at 9am...we arrived at 10am, and no one was there. Called and was told he was on his way, so we waited another 15 mins. (2) He drove up in a 10' and told me that was our truck. I told him I reserved a 15', he looked in the computer and saw I was correct. (3) The shop was FILTHY and he was not well presented either. (4) I could nt open the link to upload my license, so he sent it to my brother's phone, who couldn't open it either. So the rep took a picture with his own phone and sent it to whoever. I then asked him to delete my license image from his phone, which he did, but then stated, "believe me, I don't want it anyway, I've been sued before, but I don't care, U-Haul pays for it anyway". So unprofessional. (5) He gave us the key and told us to find the truck in the back, which looked like a jungle. We found the truck, then I had to go back inside and ask him to move another truck so that we can get out. (6) When we returned the truck, Mike told us the truck had damage. He then showed us long (and old) scratches on the top portion of the sides.We were so shocked as we drove in fully open areas. Those scratches were already there!!! We told Mike that at the pick-up, the guy never took us around the truck, as we've been used to U-Haul doing. Mike explained U-Haul doesn't do that anymore, but that we should have been emailed images of the truck - we were never sent that! I immediately called the guy at the pick up location, explained the dilemma and he HUNG UP ON ME!! I called several times back, then he answered and stated he was driving and couldn't talk, but I quickly asked him why didn't he send me images, he HUNG UP on me again!! Mike at the drop off location witnessed this.. If I were U-Haul, I would not want to be associated with this place! I need a call please,m I am not going to pay for those damages!

I've rented many Uhaul in the past and always have had a pleasant experience. This time was by far the worst I've had. It seems Uhaul doesn't want to do any work and is trying have the customers do it all for them. There is a huge lack of understanding in Uhauls customer service department including managers with there own software programs. I think they could all use som training on how to use the truckshare app they're pushing on the customers before rolling it out to the public. There's a slew of problems I could discuss regarding the "app" , but won't get into them. Furthermore, I understand rolling inventory is difficult to track and pickup locations are mearly "preferred" locations when making a reservation. But, drop off locations should remain convenient for the customer, and they shouldn't have to drive the truck 30 min. to drop the truck off cause the serrounding locations are full. That costs more time, money, gas, and mileage for the customer. Apparently Uhaul can't credit any of those back except adjust your mileage allowance. I think Uhaul should start utilizing GPS to track their vehicles better to give the customers a better experience when reserving a truck.

This location is sketchy at best. The "office" is disgusting, has an odor and is beyond cluttered. When you arrive on site, you have to call for Vito to come, the phone number is listed on a piece of paper on the door. Once Vito arrived, in his house clothes, the paperwork process was quick. We drove across the street to hitch the trailer, the clearance from the trailer to the ground was only a couple of inches. I expressed concern and Vito said "as long as UHaul approved it, you are safe" He took some pictures and left. The following morning at 3:00am leaving my home, the trailer bottomed out, became unhitched from my car, thank god nobody or my car wasn't damaged. After calling Uhaul roadside assistance for help, which they didn't, I called the Morristown Police who called their 24-hr wrecker service for help. Once re-hitched (3 hours sitting on the side of the road) the very nice police officer deemed the hookup unsafe and impounded the trailer. He couldn't believe they let me leave the Uhaul parking lot like this. Finally, I had to go to a different Uhaul location (Parsippany) where the trailer was. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeting by two nice gentlemen who said immediately "it sounds like your trailer hitch was installed upside down." Please note: UHaul installed this trailer hitch. Come to find out, it was installed wrong, they were able to fix it on the spot. They advised Vito probably didn't know the trailer hitch was installed properly because he didn't have a shop. Well, if Vito sales/rents UHaul, then he is a representative of your business and product and should have recognized the issue, especially after I questioned it. I was told the District Manager of this location, Dominic (Dom) would be in touch with me on 3/22/19 to discuss what happened and refund me the $175.00 it cost me when the trailer was impounded. It is 4/9/19 and I haven't heard a word from UHaul or Dom. This is a major issue, where someone could have been killed. It tells you how this UHaul and District Manager value safety and their customers.

I want to know whether the brake master cylinder on the 26' truck I rented was faulty or not, the brakes were "stiff" causing me tremendous knee pain which I still suffer from today nearly a week later. I'm a retired diesel/bus/coach mechanic and something was just not "right" with those brakes and it's not the location's fault where I picked up my truck. Additionally I could NOT adjust the seat to fit my 6'3" frame so I had to ''side-step" the brakes for the entire trip down the hilly and mountainous interstates of I-80, I-287, I-78, I-81, and I-77 from my home in N.J. to my destination in Hillsville Va. It's not that the seat adjustment was broken, it WASN'T but the design did not allow the steering wheel to rise enough nor could the seat be lowered to accommodate my legs so as I said before I had to "side-step" the brakes rather than step on them straight on which became torturous, I cursed and dreaded every downhill section of my trip. Oh and my painfully swollen knee, the doctor diagnosed it as a severe sprain, a direct result of the poorly designed or faulty braking system and the cramped cab where I couldn't possibly fit comfortably. The problems I encountered were NOT a result of either where I picked up my rental or dropped it off it IS the fault of the corporation in general. All-in-all my experience with your agents while picking up and dropping off the truck was 'excellent" but my experience with the equipment was a horrible one, and I'll be sure to share my story online and with others considering using your trucks for a move.

The drop off in Dover, NJ was beyond horrible. It was a dumpy junk shop with a broken down garage. There was no attendant there to accept the return, no place to leave the return and no one answering the phone listed on the door. UHAUL should be ashamed to have this place as a dealer! We took pictures just to verify that we had left it there, but was not sure someone didn't steal it. Never again!

The truck did not have any of the requested moving items I paid for to be included. These items included hand trucks, furniture pads, and dollies of varying sizes. I paid for these items to be included with the rental, and not a single one was.
