Donna M.I am disabled. I was to return the Van by 12:05p.m., but I had a really difficult time moving this morning,when I realized I would not be in time I tried to rent Van for 1 more day. I then received a message saying the Van was needed back, so I called to let them know that was fine, but I would be 20-30 min's late. Unfortunately the phone just rang and rang and rang, making it impossible to arrange anything.When I arrived (15 mins late) I tried to return the Van, but the place was closed and the Uhaul site wouldn't let me use location, so I waited until 1p.m. and handed over the key. I was told everything was okay, they would just check the fuel level and the mileage before emailing me the receipt, no problem. They did not tell me they were going to charge me for a full extra day. I would have kept the truck for today if I had known they were going to charge me for it anyhow! I have been using this UHaul almost monthly this past year, I guess that doesn't make any difference, either.

When we picked up the truck, the lady attendant told us to make sure and leave the tank with 1/4 filled with gas, and so we did. When we returned the truck in Wildomar, the man attendant, was not very polite, the contrary, he appeared to be drunk, the smell in the office was horrendous, cigarette strong smell, smokey environment,and smell of alcohol. He only got the key, and immediately said, I will send you the bill. At this point we just wanted to get out of that awful, smelly place, that I did not even had the energy to question why he said, " I will send you the bill" without even inspecting the vehicle. To my surprise I read the charge on my credit card and called immediately to the number I had or 951-200-5416, the lady then told me it was about a gas charge, I explained to her that that could not have been possible, since we left the 1/4th gas filled tank as we were requested. To what I am still astonished, it is the fact that the person who received the truck, said" you will get a bill on the e mail we have". without inspecting the truck or pointing out the gas tank not being full at 1/4th. Joy M.The mileage was not pointed out to me when I rented the truck, and luckily I took a photo and video of the truck prior to leaving the rental property. They tried to over charge me on the mileage and had I not had photo proof I would have been charged 4 times the actual amount!

The Customer service agents did a great job of explaining it and expressing their disappointment. They also helped with the extra miles required, due to unexpected road closures.

Glenn C.I wanted my truck at 7am but it was after hours. Customer service credited me for the inconvenience which helped the frustration. I was never told there was a fee for drop off after hours. The truck ran like it was going to break down and I put gas in it but guess it was not enough. The mileage was an excessive upcost. I drove 50 miles costing me 72.00. I ordered two dollys but only used 1. The other was never released from the truck. Not impressed with the communication to charges.
