I will never go back to U-Haul again. This was a terrible experience I pre-booked moving blankets, moving dollies and other moving stuff the day that I picked up the truck. None of that was available if I would've known that in advance I would've went somewhere else.

I ended up going to 4 different U-Haul locations to find a trailer, spending 3 hours (when I expected only to take 15 min) and driving 40 miles (vs 4 miles) to pick up a trailer. Wouldn't you know it 5:30 pm door closed again. Pretty much do it yourself location. Do yourself a favor go penske.
Peter P.My equipment was not in the truck I had to travel to another location and they charged me miles for it. They then charged me for 3 days when I only had the truck for 2 days. I disputed the charges and was told someone would contact me and instead they charged me the full amount and never heard from anyone.
Kaeci M.I have a case manager already re assigned. The truck there was left with a plastic container under the truck. We moved it not suspecting anything. We were left with 9 miles DTE. Then when I got to the gas station and started filling the truck up I realized a few gallons in that it was just spilling out completely. (Not a leak but a full on spill coming from the gas pump to the ground). I was lucky to be actively by the pump to notice it. The fire department had to be called. I was on the verge of calling 911 to file a report and get legal involved due to the gross negligence done by whom ever left the black bucket there. (It's all in the pictures that were uploaded). The only reason I didn't presue a 911 call was because of an initial call to the road side assistance lady and she was so helpful and understanding. Got the new truck ready. Oh and none of the equipment I ordered was given or put in the truck. Overall terrible experience and it was my first time with uhaul and my last. Stressful, time consuming with call center and the Aurora location. Even before picking up the truck experience was terrible.

Manuel G.If you need a truck, you need a truck. This place has them. My rental wasn't really cleaned on the inside and I didn't check it out before driving away, my mistake. Sticky stuff on the floor, smelled like smoke inside, fast food cups, and I think the moms attic had a leak, my dresser drawer had some water in it when I unloaded it.

Steven B.Contactless pick up was confusing and did not work well. No one was on-site till about 9:45 to ask for help. This is a late time on a weekend when it's popular for people to move. By the time we got everything worked out, it was a half hour or so into my 4 hour time with the truck. I asked if it could be extended because of this. He said no because it was going right back out. However, uhaul advertises that you can easily call and extend your time . . . Very frustrating.

omar I.Have not found information on what type of fuel goes with the van I rent, so I did not put fuel on it not to damage its engine. Make a note right above fuel cap.

Coe M.Gas was at a quarter tank not half like it was suppose to be. Mirror was taped on, truck was pretty rough and forts didn't close all the way. The online check in wasn't working, truck didn't have furniture dollys or mats, after paying the deposit ended up trying to charge me an additional 160 or something ( even tho we used less miles then what was quoted! )

In all my years of moving and using U-haul I have never experienced such disorganization, lack of customer service and charges that were unwarranted. Absolutely terrible!!!!!
Akilah H.Hours for pick up and drop off are too limited. The uhaul.com/share app to drop off the truck kicked me out 5 times. I spent an hour trying to fulfill all the requirements such as uploading pictures etc. Each time I'd get nearly to the end and get kicked out. Big hassle

RICHARD S.I contacted two different individuals regarding an issue that had happened. I had the key in the ignition with the door unknowingly already locked. When I went to take a picture of the haul for the inventory close-out the wind blew the door shut with it locked and key inside. I called and spoke to two individuals, both female, explaining to them what had happened. One of them assured me they would send roadside by to retrieve the key (no one ever showed or contacted me), and the other later on informed me that the return on the truck was complete and I was in the clear. I was then advised that I would be charged extra due to leaving the key in, when I attempted to remedy the issue as well as was informed the issued was taken care of.

Michael D.I had to buy a trailer plug adapter and was charged $20 for it when the UHaul website has the same one for $10. None of the products they sell in the store have a price on it, so they just make it up as they go. When I got to the location to tow my car I found out one of the straps to secure the tires was broken, making it unsafe to use. This location clearly does not do a safety check on their equipment when it's returned. When I returned the trailer I told him about the broken strap and was offered no compensation and he did not even go outside to inspect it. I was told I would receive a return confirmation shortly but didn't. A few hours later I was contacted by uhaul asking me why I haven't returned the trailer and I explained to them the situation. The people I talked to from UHaul were great but I'm still upset I was charged for faulty equipment. I Will not use this location again and UHaul should really look into more than vacuums because they are giving their company a bad rap.
