I rented a trailer and UHaul doesn't sell the 7 round to the the 4 pin connector that is needed to hook up a trailer to a standard car. I had to leave and go to a Walmart to buy the adapter. Simple item that should be on site.

Left Groton CT nd the agent put down 80 miles and when I returned the truck to Guilford they had 40 miles and charged me for the extra miles. When I orginally booked I was curious about the your billing methodology . So I price again using surrounding Towns and the rate was the same whether I was going to a Town 40 miles away or 90 milles away, But yet when I returned the vehicle you always charge the customer an overage! I am reporting this scam to the FTC

That resulted in me having to cancel the reservation both times and starting over at the correct location. It would be a large improvement if traffic control stopped changing the reservations needlessly
Mark ReichardReservation, pick-up and return all were very good. The van was clean and in excellent condition, and was exactly what I needed for my one day project. The staff member who processed my pick-up had lost internet at the office due to a storm, but was able to complete it on her phone. Nice job by her, and a productive day for me.

Corners were tight in the storage facility which made it difficult to move large objects. The facility was also warmer than it was outside. Did not feel climate controlled.

I got a phone call the next morning (Monday) saying that the trailer was missing the wiring for the lights. I had just purchased a whole wiring harness set and ball mount hitch from the gold star highway uhaul 2 days prior and installed ourselves. I know nothing of hooking it all up when you tow so my bf and the lady that was there Sunday did it. She took a picture bc apparently that's the policy to make sure it's hooked up right. When my bf went to the store to talk to the woman who called me she would not show him the picture of the hook up from the day before to show her what it looked like then and now. I haven't been charged anything extra as or now, but im confused as to why she wouldn't show him the picture? "That's going to cost us $25." I have never had any issues renting with uhaul and always use them. She said it was possible someone stole it (but it was not me) I have the receipt for the ball and hitch and wiring harness I bought 2 days before I rented the trailer. I thought it was rude and unprofessional to not show him the picture he was asking to see to point out to her. I feel like she didn't know what she was talking about. That is all

ELIZABETH BROWNOne issue was that there was a tow trailer parked directly behind the rental truck that had to be moved by hand in order to back the truck out because the front of the truck was right against a curb.

Mikayla SmithYour system was down so it took a while to check out the trailer. This was after having to do so multiple times before over the phone and online. It was the most ridiculously annoying process that took 3 phone calls on two separate days to make this reservation after having made the reservation online a month prior. It had been changed without my consent or knowledge. So to answer your question: update your computer system so that it works smoothly and is up to date with the locations of your storage and rental facilities. The people I dealt with were very nice and as helpful as they could be.

Confused to why the employee at the location did not do an inspection on the vehicle before they gave us the keys. Usually that is standard practice with rental vehicles and trucks we used in the past.

I had a cargo van that had 24x7 availability and when changed to a 10' truck my 7am pickup was no longer valid - I had to wait until 9am - TWO HOURS - to get it which is coincidentally when the location opened despite the fact that I never interfaced with them.

Edmond LynchI believe Uhaul (not the location). Reds to do a better job with Customer service. I was looking for a round trip rental Thursday to Sunday which I was denied. I then booked 2 one ways. My destination was changed on my first one way (pushing my drop off further away from my destination). I went along with it. I was also told at the time that my 2nd reservation was not confirmed as there was no longer a truck available (that doesn't make sense given an individual is dependent on their reservation). I was then told my start point for my second rental was changed (again. Farther away from my destination) I had a feeling they were changing each to give me a truck on my second pickup. I was correct. I picked up the same truck on Sunday that I dropped off Friday at a location not chosen by me but picked by uhaul which were both further away from my address. I asked multiple times if truck wasn't rented why I couldn't keep with no good answer. If you look at my receipts you will see NO ONE took this truck all weekend besides me. Uhaul could have easily offered me the option to keep the truck even if I had to pay the higher one way rate. Offering the convenience of keeping the truck would have gone a long way for great customer service.

Michael CaseyThe Uhaul truck I was given was covered in car hair and cat urine which was unbearable during my 1300 mile transit. I was forced to stop multiple times in order to try and disinfect and get rid of the smell which did not work. I spent almost $3500 for the rental on this truck and if I had the choice I would have never rented this vehicle but since it was the only one available as I was told I was forced to rent the truck. There was also a crack in the windshield and I called the location the same day to report these issues and was only told they would "note my file" and no offer to correct the issue was given. I am extremely disappointed with the service and rental.

Vanessa ClaudioThe mileage was wrong by 1000 miles from what was on the pick up phone app. I ordered moving blankets and they were not in the truck at pick up and I was charged for them anyway. Waited on hold for more than 30 minutes to speak to a customer service representative while we tried to explain the mileage was different than what was documented and that we requested blankets that were not there. Furthermore I requested a 20 foot U-Haul in Old Saybrook and the day of the move found out we had to drive to Groton about 20 minutes away for a larger truck which obviously used more gas than we needed. Overall frustrated and not thrilled with the experience however the drop off location in Lebanon New Hampshire was very accommodating and nice to have a live person to explain the issue to
