Hello! Cabin was not cleaned for a very long time (month or more). Initial odometer reading was exactly +20 miles from listed in the document. Have got signed prove with correction after checking. Have sent request with prove to correct charge right after receiving final check. No response. Finally was charged for "+20 miles". Decided to avoid this location and probably U-HAUL in the future. Good luck!

I reserved my 15ft truck at the Scarlet location because it was easier for me to get dropped off at, when I got there I was told that my reservation was for the San Ramon Valley road location even tho I had received a email from U-Haul that my truck was available and waiting for me!!! I showed the person at the Scarlet location my email and his words were I don’t know what to tell you but we don’t have a truck for you, even after I explained my situation of being dropped off and have ride over to the other location which was 25 minutes away!!!! He did not offer another truck I asked about a 10 footer but realized that would be to small. I had to pay Uber to take me the the San Ramon valley road location not to mention it was 25 minutes out of the way. U haul should be more aware of where they have trucks and don’t, especially in this day and age with technology!!!! Horrible experience!!!!!

Based on my recent experience with U-Haul, I will not be using or recommending U-Haul to anyone going forward. I had a rough time picking up our truck to begin with since the website does not accurately indicate which facilitates have a particular size truck. Our original order was supposed to originate in Napa but this ended up changing to Vacaville and then Dixon (40+ miles away from Napa). During moving day it was pouring rain and we were given a 2pm return time. I called into the San Ramon facility to see if someone else needed the truck that day because we might be a little late and was told that we were fine to return later. We returned the truck at 3:30pm and upon coming home we received an updated invoice with an additional $72 for the extra 90 minutes we held the truck. For a rental that originally cost about $150 for an entire day, this seems ridiculous! I have called two regional offices and headquarters to try and figure something out and have been in circles being told that I have to talk to someone else. If you need a rental truck, try Ryder or Penske instead.

Previous renter must have smoked in vehicle..left cigarette butts and trash. I cleaned the inside and had to air it out driving. the windshield wipers were not usable and roadside assistance would take 2 hours and apparently may not have the parts. I drove in the rain for 3 hours without good windshield wiper blades. Fortunately I was near a UHaul Superstore in Reno NV next day, they replaced them. the manager at San Ramon is great very helpful. However, at any location a truck should be checked for certain things and smoking not allowed in trucks.

I was told the place was open Sunday until 4:00. At 3:00 I was there snd noone was available. I tried their website to do s lock box drop off and that didnt work do I had to drio the keys through the mail slot. I never received an email confirming my return. I had to call.

Gentleman at counter was very nice and professional. (I heard his interaction with the previous customer, and...) We had not reserved what we needed and he was able to help. But, there was some luck involved - - Remember to reserve what you need, especially if you’d like something over the weekend. Location has a very small sign and is just up away from street at storage facility so won’t see it easily from road.

Truck I requested wasnt available at the location I requested. The location wasnt even open at the time I requested. I have a hard time believing that in 50 miles the size I requested wasnt available. Size of truck and location were inconvenient. Driver side truck mirror was not secure and wobbled way too much to use properly. Overall experience was adequate for my needs but the least convenient experience I've ever had with uhaul.

Customer Service is not in communication with the employees at the U-Haul place. Nothing matches and nothing coincides. I was getting the run around because the representative who initially created my reservation either messed up on the location pick up or drop off or my reservation was not showing up on my dashboard for whatever reason. I was also given wrong information on both sides, the U-Haul employees and also the corporate office who deals with reservation. I have never experience such a company that gave false information to their customers REPEATEDLY. The experience was so stressful and I am not at all happy with renting a truck from U-Haul. BAD experience, BAD customer service, INCOMPETENT employees, OVERALL BAD! No professionalism.

Trailer had minor debris inside so it had not been inspected following the last rental. One tire was flat - zero pressure. I inflated it and it had a slow leak. Managed to get to the destination with air pressure but only half of what it had inflated the tire to. Seems like a safety inspection was not done before rental.

Jackson street Hayward screwed up my reservation. Wrong trailer, failure to e mail or text us, and when we showed up Saturday at 7am, no trailer and no replacement. Luckily San Ramon helped out. Lady who took reservation in Hayward never checked vehicle compatibility with trailer size. Cost ne 3 hours, had a promised deadline I missed

When I returned u-haul truck to drop off location, the representative said I overpass ten mileages. He said he would charge me an extra dollars. I wasn't happy. I said it is not my fault, because the representative counted the wrong milages. I feel I was not supposed to pay the extra fee, even only three dollars. In addition, I paid $150 just for 30 miles moving at one day. I feel a little bit higher this time. Secondly, in the dark and heavy raining night, I was misled by the instruction on the door at San Ramon drop off location. It is said I need to return the key with a document with my address at the closing time. It is wrong, and I only need to put the key into the door. The wrong instruction caused me to drive from Union City to San Ramon twice just for returning the key. It was a terrible experience to rent an u-haul truck this time.

Fire all employees and start over or close your doors. Good luck trying to fix those attitudes. Rude, crude, and even hostile to the customer. I am 71 and cannot remember EVER experiencing the degree of disrespect and lack of customer service care. I have successfully and happily worked with UHaul many times over the years. Thankfully this will be my last move. With representation like this, your good name and reputation will soon be lost.

I did not have the furniture pads or dolly I rented - I had to return to the U-Haul facility in Dublin to rent pads that I already paid for? With no dolly I could not unload the appliances at a secondary location, thus creating a need to have to rent a truck again. NOT GOOD!

After christmas, I needed a rental car. I checked on a couple of rental car (Hertz and Enterprise) in San Ramon, Dublin and Pleasanton but, they are all out of inventory. I thought about uhaul in San Ramon because they have 19.95/day plus .79/mi. The lady was nice and wrote up the contract. Originally I was just getting it for a day but, I mentioned that I may need it for a week. The lady says that I can rent it for a week for $330 with free 750 miles. So, I said OK, write me up the contract. I was in a hurry to get going so I did not check the details. I returned the pickup truck after a day and I got a $174 charge for the rent. I called her up the next day to get clarification on the rental. I drove 200 miles plus gas. So, the moral of the uhaul rental story is don't use them unless you know exactly what you are using it for. The suggestions are not to the best of your charges; it just looks good until you look into the details.
