David GI am very impressed with your service: the ubox I rented shipped from Washington state to Anchorage, Alaska in weeks less time than estimated, arrived in perfect condition, and not one scratch on my belongings (nothing was displaced during travel). My ubox was stored in a warm, dry, secure warehouse. The moving blankets were more than adequate and really protected (furniture) well. The employees in Washington and in Anchorage were very professional, polite and enjoyable to speak with. I am absolutely going to use your service for my future moving needs. Great job... excellent service.

The Uhaul I was given was below half a tank and as a result I had no idea to find out how much gas I needed to hit that level and spent more than double what I should have on gas. I expected it to start full.

BETHANN Hthe truck's gas tank was almost empty, i had to go to the nearest gas station to keep it from running out of fuel. the engine is a v10, so it's going to use a lot of fuel just starting up.

LARRY GI want to personally thank Jaden (not sure exactly how to spell his name). But he was very Johnny on the spot and resourceful. Helped me find the right dolly's and trailer connector and had amazing customer service skills that don't seem to be present very often in the world today. I'll keep coming back to this location as long as he's there to help me. I don't know if I would come back if he wasn't there. Please take care of your hard working employees. Jaden has drive and can make you money by selling your image and reputation even before a customer walks in the door.

ROBERT DIt was not defrosted. No one told us where or which truck it was. Just gave us a key. The vehicle had spilled dried beverage sticky on the cup holder. Not impressed but served the purpose. The tow light was on. Not sure if it was because of icey roads.

WANDA GMain doors were always locked. Key card never worked. When I addressed these issues with the manager I was ignored. I chose U-Haul because you provided a service that I wanted which were hours of operation from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. the doors and the staff were never there at 7:00 a.m. causing me delays to gather my work tools from the storage unit to work I haven't heard lost revenue due to that all because of a lazy manager who doesn't care about anything but herself.

My only critique is the homeless drug users who would hide out in small spaces until after-hours and then they would eat and "play" at night when there wasn't an employee onsite. There were several times I was uncomfortable there alone.

George TOrdered 8 U-boxes with online quote of approx. $15 500 to ship to KY and was told after loaded and back to warehouse the shipping contract would by $18,300. This was misleading price quoting. My moving company owner, Alan of Allstar Movers, who loaded the boxes, witnessed the pricing when I ordered them. He gave me the Uhaul manager contact for DIANE and she has not responded to my text requests for price change. Very poor business practice and unprofessional customer service to handle this clear price issue.
Douglas CCustomer service and cleanliness of the store was fantastic. Agents kindly explained how to file a claim for the damaged roof and were helpful while returning the trailer.

CHRIS GHad to go through three trucks to be able to leave and be able to move things. First truck door would not open and had to return to site for them to look at it, they got it open and then it would not close for them. So they put me in to another truck, truck 2. Truck twos battery would not start when the worker went out to warm the car up. Truck 3 finally turned on but was missing a windshield wiper, which they replaced before leaving lot, but accelerator was struggling with hills. Still finished what I needed with this truck because it drove.

Suhail PThe truck condition was borderline unsafe. The driver's door did not close without slamming it. The key does not unlock the driver's door so you have to unlock the passenger door and climb into the driver's seat. The traction control doesn't work which makes it questionable in Alaska during the winter. The gauge cluster was cracked and taped back together.
John WI still have not received my receipt for my truck use yesterday. Multiple signs posted said to wait in the car to return the equipment for a staff person to come out, but I gave up and went inside.
Laura HI do not like the way you tell people to cut the line when they are checking in. It puts me in a very strange position where I have to say "hi I'm cutting in front of you." Also, the cab was filthy, the windshield cracked in several places, and the vehicle handled very poorly.
ADAM JThe only issue was that the fuel level was at 1/2 tank. The weather was lousy, and I didn't notice it right away or I would have said something. I left it with a full tank when I returned it.

aundrea g | Premières impressionsThe lock box's for the keys were frozen and cold. I would suggest a lockbox to not be frozen and in the warm place. The same time, some other person tried to get their keys out but could not get it with the code and had to come in next business day. Keep the snow off the vehicles because I had to clean snow off the van. The drop off key station was frozen and could not deliver the key back but had to put it in where I got the key from., still frozen.

James BI mean it was convenient, I needed a large truck and it was definitely provided, but it wasn't in the best condition and I wasted at least 20 minutes just waiting for the truck to warmup and de ice the windshield. Would have been nice if it was prepared for my scheduled pick up time. There was also trash from the previous user. Also the check engine light was on, which the employee stated "it's perfectly safe to drive" but that wasn't really my concern, more so why are there lights on on a rented vehicle. I get that a lot of people use the vehicles, but I would expect a bit more care to go into their maintenance than what meets the eye.
Claire MHad some issues with the ac knob and the wiper blades did not work well in the winter weather . Besides that the experience was excellent.
richard mI paid for uhaul half pack of furniture blankets and a dolly only received 2 blankets, the uhaul was preloaded and I didn't have a light to check the green bag that well saw blankets assumed they had the right amount.... I also pulled several pieces of trash out of the back and cab when I first got it so no I didn't get it clean. This truck was so dirty on the outside and the inside my coat got filthy when I bumped against it.. I had to extend my rental due to snow storm in Anchorage went to open truck and half of it was filled with snow... Through a latched and locked door . Took forever to get it out to finished loading it. Cleaned it out took it back and they charged me a cleaning fee.... I HAD TO CLEAN IT WHEN I GOT IT!!!! SO I WANT A CLEANING FEE AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE MISSING FURNITURE BLANKETS!!!!! I've rented several times through the same place but this time it was a disaster and I don't honestly know if I'll ever us their service again at this point.. btw that truck needs to see a mechanic it seemed to have a misfire or something it was very sluggish and those bald tires are dangerous.
Daisy SI would first off the price is a way to expensive and when you get charged one should be being one price you shouldn't be being charged a higher price on the next time if you say your vehicle is going to be certain amount a day it should be that certain amount that day now if you're going to give out equipment that stuff better not be busted because having busted equipment means you we as the customers have to spend more money to fix you up your machine you're messed up machines

mckayla g | Premières impressionsMy overall experience was not great. Some kinda fraud when I would pay my bills with money order of 2hundred. I'd get late fees add on and constantly get notifications that said your last payment of 130 you still owe 70 plus the now fraudulent 50dollar late fee. That kept compounding, then I paid early to keep same rate for rest of the year. They kept over charging me to the new rate, and wouldn't expect the payments saying that it's partial. Then access another 50 dollar late fee . Next it compounds again. I had bad dreams and crazy anxiety of them auctioning my little bit of stuff off nightmares people. I believe the Boss lady Mrs Diane who is an absolute amazing manager is great and deserves a raise far as I'm concerned. Has emplimented a new system where they now take a picture of the money order. (I do always take a picture and the time/date. It's a good habit to use when paying with instruments like money orders cashier ,check ,checks. She's fair and will try to help you! I can't say enough about her professionalism! Mrs Diane you are a sweet special lady and I really appreciate your patience and help. I got my mother's pictures and few things back that would've been tossed out at a auction! Thank you for everything may God grant you passage in your time of need. Peace ✌️ outta here . We finally bought a lock cutter ourselves. Outside of that I love everything else about my experience and would definitely recommend you.

Well, I got the truck and went to rent the unit and the guy at uhaul charged me 85 dlars for the unit first month. I mentioned to him and showed him online where it stated that the first month was supposed to be free and he told me that they don't do the first month free u less your not an anchorage resident. I was extremely upset a out the situation. Because that's absolutely false advertisement and I really couldn't afford to pay that 85 dollars right then.

A month for one of the smallest units should include 24hr access. I also do not appreciate the yearly cost increase. I orginally got a storage unit because I lost my job and had to move due to covid. And I feel taken advantage of. Not only that. But there has been no talk about refunding the money I have already spent on this months rent. Maybe I dont understand how you do storage units..

Customer service stated I had a balance and charged my card 3-4 times because something was wrong with their system and said it was paid and then I received a bill 3 days later in the mail from the store for the same balance. They told me it didn't go through its very confusing. On my end it was charged it's frustrating and I felt like nobody helped.

Eddie was great but he was going in 50 directions with two female staff who could not complete a purchase, finalize a rental contract or refund myself for packing items that were not used. Waited 40 minutes after getting my storage unit (1135) because there was a lock on it. It was a very frustrating. But kudos to Eddie who did all he could to serve customers and stayed pleasant and professional the entire 3 times I was there yesterday.

They did not explain the contract when moving in. When I rented my truck, I was told in my contract that I would have 1 month free rental, when I went to use that in Anchorage I was told that they didn't do it anymore (even though on the wall it still says that they do). Every time I went to address the staff they were ignorant and in un-professional. Very poor customer service, and who ever is manager, should have updated classes on professionalism and customer service.

Arrived and issued unit 1030 (reserved a first floor). Checked unit and it had a lock on it. Went back and he said he will work it out as I rented a $19,95 uhaul as well and he said I would have a unit upon return. Got in the uhaul and the fuel guage was off what he told me (took a picture) upon return I was issued unit 3030 (not what I reserved). Turning in the uhaul I mentioned I traveled a total of 12 miles and told him the gauge wasn't at 7/8 but closer to 3/4. He assured me he would make a note of it and I wouldn't be charged. I was charged $31 for fuel to go 12 MILES!!

MAKOTO M | Expérience généraleI had many issues with the facility. Staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be, but they were overwhelmed. Way too many customers for way too little staff. I almost always had to wait. When I signed up for a unit, I was asked to sign an agreement, but was not given time to read it or given any paperwork. There was also a lock on my unit when I went to use it and I had to walk all the way back to ask staff to remove the lock (and wait for them to stop assisting other customers). When I arrived to move my belongings in, carts were being horded by other customers. These customers were not actively using the carts to transport items, but spent 30 minutes going through the belongings in their unit. I asked respectfully to use a cart and was declined. I then asked the staff for assistance. They did nothing to stop the cart hording. Also, while moving in my belongings, I was told on one occasion that I could not access the floor with my unit for an hour, because they were waxing the floor. I told them I needed to move everything out of my apartment that day and disregarded them and moved my belongings in anyway. In a month, I visited my unit about 14 days to move things in (and subsequently move things out). A number of times, alarms were going off. I have stored at other facilities and have never heard a single alarm. So something appeared to be going wrong with the alarm system. I had issues with getting my access card to work. I went and spoke to staff about it (Again, after waiting). They gave me an access number. I then realized that my alarm did NOT work at all. I even tested this out by not logging in and opening my unit - no alarm. I notified staff about this and asked them to have a manager call me about prorating my unit's rent. (I wanted to move out immediately and feel that UHaul is in breach of contract for not honoring the alarms they promised me). I waited a day. The manager never called me. I decided to move my belongings to another storage facility, but to wait until my month expired, because it was clear I was not going to be treated with respect or dignity. Customer service is important to me. If a facility will have this many things wrong with it and not own up to the issues and fix them, then that is a huge disservice to the community at large and to me.
john s | Expérience généraleMy items were stolen as we were moving out. I called and management didn't do anything, he never even took my name down but said he'd call me back, which he never did. The woman who stole the items had been there for days rummaging through peoples' items as well as the free pile. It looked like she was trying to stay in the facility after everyone left, possibly staying in a unit. I have yet to receive a call back about my stolen items. I was transferred to multiple departments that ultimately left in a deadend with no one to answer me or the ability to leave a voicemail. Overall my experience here was great, very clean units and really nice staff

SARAH E | Expérience généraleThrough either mistakes, incompetence, or criminal behavior all the items in my storage unit were disposed of FIVE days after I started to put them into the unit, using the access code I had been assigned. In addition I am being charged late fees for a unit (1027) that was not my unit. An insurance claim has been opened to recover a portion of the value of the items that have been lost. I am still in shock that, as an aritist, I have lost the majority of my artwork and that of others that I collected. I have also lost family heirlooms going back over 100 years. Also my jewelry and my passport. This is an active case. I have refrained from going public with my experience at this time as we work through claim process. A police report was filed. Will never use or recommend Uhaul.

Staff at front seemed to be busy and not focused on the details but it was resolved. Still not sure if I will be charged for the right unit and if my prepayment will go through properly. We shall see.

The only gal that was super sweet was the older cleaning lady that came the the storage building. She was always so friendly and helpful. I always felt bad for her because she had to clean up some really nasty stuff left by people at the entrance. She should get some kind of compensation. Sometimes there are USED NEEDLES, pee cups and literal human poop and she cleans it with a smile on her face. She is definitely a saint.

After hours the sliding door did not work with my access code making it impossible to move things in and out after I got off work. On most occasions there where no carts available, and people parked right in front of the door, making it difficult to load my truck. There were a lot of homeless people hanging around, and weird people riding around on the carts inside the building. Also people with dogs hanging out inside the building, and intoxicated people hanging around. I was never comfortable being there alone.

All the staff was great, but them not having a good telephone system or intra messaging system that working properly caused me stress trying to reach someone in the store. I kept getting reservations which they couldn't help me. A good team needs equipment/ tools that works to get the job done. the staff made up for the lack of communication due to the equipment not working and me not being able to get a hold of someone.
