Fill the fuel tank before re-renting a vehicle. Your attempt to manage fuel via gallons per 1/8th tank is rediculas. Following your recommended procedure I wound up getting 7 MPG because I had to buy 4 gallons when I only drove 29 miles. Secondly the pickup I was rented was filthy with mud and dirt. I was told to inspect the body for dings, scratches and dents and noted a couple dozen ‘X’ stickers, each identifying known damage. The known damage was for the most part miniscule and in places, seemingly imaginary. Because the truck was so dirty I spent quite a bit of time trying to determine which were un-X’d scratches and which were just dirt. On the whole I found this latest uHaul rental off putting and memorable in negative ways. The staff was exceellent but their best intentions were overwhelmed by contractual warnings, nibbling charges, and terrible mandated corporate procedures when it comes to giving the customer fair value.

Tank was only filled up a quarter tank. I filled it up half a tank and was not reimbursed, did not drive over 10 miles. Not impressed

The call center that took my reservation got it all mixed up so when I went to the rental location, they showed that I wanted an in-town rental, when I had asked for a one way rental.

I don't know if I have enough space to list my disappointment and humiliation felt dealing with this U-Haul office. 1. When making my reservation of a truck for an in town move, I was given the per day price and per mile quote. Then I was ask when I would have the truck back. "Will you need it for 4 hours?" What?! This is a 24 hour rental price! I told them I only needed it for 6 hours (but why does that matter?)...this is clearly a management scam to possibly re-rent the same truck in the same 24 hour period. 2. I am a pastor in the local community. Upon arrival (with one of my Samoan pastor colleagues) I was told that they had a new form requiring my initials and signature because people are being dishonest and irresponsible with their equipment. A long list initialing my given requirements/responsibilities as the renter. What about the contract, is that not enough? 3. After providing my Drivers License and credit card and verifying my information. They saw my retired military ID told me they now need either my government (military) ID number, or another person to call to make sure I would bring their truck back. What about the contract?! They told me: "ou wouldn't believe how many people don't bring the truck back." Really? I'm a brand new customer! Well...Not anymore! So, I gave them my wife's name and cell phone to call. They called her on speaker phone, while I stood there with other customers and asked her if she knew I was renting a truck today and would verify that she who I said she was. This is rude! I am a retired military officer and a current professional leader in the downtown community. They have no reason to distrust me so much or to ask my wife permission to rent their truck. Again, doesn't a contract mean anything to these people? How is someone on the other end of the phone, who they have never met going to be anymore honest than the person standing there that they have already verified the ID. At this point I have already decided; I will not be back and I will discourage people who even think about doing business with them. 4. The truck assigned had unmarked (no "X-X-X") damage on the lower side of the drivers side cargo area. I was told it was previously marked and would be okay. However, there was no evidence of any X's being removed. So she said she would take a picture of it and put it in my file. I wonder: Did they claim that on the insurance I purchased? I hope not! 5. The old truck was clean on the interior. However, well maintained is another question...It ran like it could be ready for retirement. 6. I was paying by the mile and the mileage was off by a mile. Petty? Probably, but at this point I had no reason to trust them either. 7. While the tires were legal; this truck didn't have winter (or studded) tires as others did. These tires didn't do well on the icy roads. I have rented many U-Hauls over the years and never been profiled, or treated with such an assumption

Much faster to rent and return at this location than at the Old Seward location! Consistently wider selection of trailers than Old Seward as well. Using this location when I rent a car trailer this week!

After returning the trailer, we noticed a charge on our credit card for $360. We called to ask about this, and they said it was a late fee. Except we had returned the trailer before the due date. They told us we would have to call the 1-800 number, so we did, and were told we'd get a refund in the next 3-5 days. 15 days later, no refund. We called again to reopen the claim, but we are fed up with this. It's happened before, in July, that we were wrongly charged a late fee and never received our refund. We will not be recommending Uhaul at all to anyone in the future. In fact we will be highly encouraging people to look elsewhere, even if it's a little more expensive, so that they aren't stolen from as well. Liars and thieves, in two of three experiences THIS year. Not a good percentage, and not comforting. We currently have both claims reopened, but this is the fourth or fifth attempt to receive the refund for the one in July, so we have very low hope of actually seeing that money ever agan.

Uhaul dealership lied and charged us for damages after we left after dropping it off Said it was short 2 gallons of fuel Said it was dirty it was not completely cleaned and power washed right before dropping off as well as topping off with fuel. This uhaul dealership shouldn’t be in business if they have to lied and make things up to make money. We rent these weekly and have never had any problems and have a clean history Of both fuel and cleanliness at each return And the lie about the damges is a sad way to make money for themselves instead of being honest.

Well, someone had siphoned gas so that the gauge at check out was lower than indicated on contract. I did not stop and report it because I thought it might move up on the road--it did not. Being a good sport I purchased 8 gallons of gas for a 15 mile rental--not my smartest move.
