It's hard for me to call the actual location that has my storage unit. Their phones always go to customer service. I understand they are busy and I understand they're helping people but calling is my main form of communication for anything and everything in my life.

They were cheerful and competent and took the initiative to resolve the problem, which was mine (as a result of road damage to my wiring harness). Such extra effort makes a HUGE impression and also, as it happens, has always been my experience with U Haul. I've rented trailers dozens of times over the years and always get terrific support from the staff. Merci.

MIKE SThis is a bad part of Spokane so all the less desirable people that vandalize and steal make it a bit unsafe. The associate working was all by himself and had to turn several people away due to bad equipment. I would recommend the store/property be fully fenced in for more safety. When doing online check in, let me complete that process instead of waiting in the store. Makes online check in pointless

Jody W | Premières impressionsThe facilities were clean, and the manager was kind. I arrived for the 11:00 hitch installation appointment. There were no customers ahead of me. There was no mechanic to install the hitch. The manager called someone into the facility. My car was driven into the bay at 12:20. The job was completed at 2:00. I was prepared for about 90-minute install. I wasn't prepared for the 80-minute wait. It would have been nice to have been informed the day before that they needed to adjust my appointment to ensure someone would be there to install.

DAVID B | Premières impressionsI was charged for an after hours fee of $20, when I needed to return the rental by 8:30am and there was a person in the office at this location. They basically yelled and told me to drop the key off in the slot. I don't get why I was charged for this and am disappointed to find that there was three people at this location. Yet, they wouldn't open the door to let me return my rental on time. This disgusts me, in the fact I was charged for this. What am I supposed to do when I need to return it within the 24 hour period? Be penalized for returning it on time to the same location I rented because they're not open? Really? That just plain doesn't make sense and is non ethical. I wouldn't ever recommend this location or Uhaul for that matter. It's such a shame with companies like this. I'm so glad, I don't work for a company like this and actually work for a company with values. Not only that, they give old rentals for in town rentals. Which, really gives a bad reputation of what the company represents. Don't love Uhaul!

Donna PInstall signs that show where the office is. The lot is very big and there are several buildings and look-to-be entrances. Having not ever been there before I spent a good amount of time walking around trying to find the office. It would be good to have signs near the entrances off Sprague that direct you to the office.

Dmitriy VTAMMY THE MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED. She doesn't even ensure the trucks are inspected. I learned later that the trucks get a sticker where they are inspected and there was no sticker on my BEAT UP and RUN DOWN truck. It was just dropped off by another family. Hahaha welp. I will get my money back somehow for all I went through. I could have gotten stuck on the side of the road with no cell reception or worse. I will NEVER use uhaul again and I am taking further action against Tammy and this location. Never have driven uhaul and I never want to again. Turned a 1 day trip to 3 days and I had to have roadside come out twice. The tire had a nail in it when I picked it up and the engine went out. Absolutely awful experience at this location. DO NOT BUY HERE !!! Tammy does not deserve to be manager as she does not uphold the duties of one. Very unprofessional and rude. I wish I could fire her myself.

The next day, we were charged for an extra day, with the return time showing as 11AM Sunday, rather than the actual 6pm saturday night. Upon calling, the extra day charge was refunded, along with an unnecessary refund of $5 for the extra few miles. Two weeks later, the card was again charged for the extra miles. No notice was given that the refunded cost would be charged again. Poor communication, I would have appreciate some notice that my card was being charged again out of the blue.

Besides that I had a great experience using the truck. It went very smooth easy check in after they helped me with the steps to log on. It went very smoothly with checkout and checkin.

Brady MSadly when I got to load up location a lock was on the door. A U-Haul lock. I assume to keep people from sleeping in trailers. Well. The k did not remove lock. I was far away from uhual center so I used a grinder to cut the lock.

Friendly, knowledgeable, honest and straight and transparent - - and both went above and beyond to make sure we get everything done perfectly and on time. Truly impressed with both of them. Sean MI returned a 5'x8' enclosed trailer here. The guy was right there to help me. He did everything for me and I was out of there in 5 minutes. The trailer pulled very smoothly.

Everyone on the staff that I dealt with were super friendly...I personally will likely use this U-Haul Facility or another U-Haul Facility either in the Federal Way area, up in Skagit or Whatcom County, and up on the Sunset Highway out towards Airway Heights. I have been a U-Haul Customer since 1968 and can't count the number of trucks and vans I have rented over the years from the smallest pickup trucks and vans to the largest trucks.

Reuben graciously received the packages on my behalf before I arrived. I highly recommend the U-Haul Storage Of East Town as they were extremely helpful and communicative and made the moving process easy.

I wasn't aware of it being expired and I rented a truck and packed it up. At one point we were directed to the UCity location where I was very rudely treated and basically laughed at right out the door. Rueben still honored it and made it the easiest set up possible. He didn't have to honor it and he was empathetic and understanding the entire time. I deeply and greatly appreciate this and want to also recognize that I have never witnessed any one person juggle and address so many different issues and needs at one time and stay calm, cool and composed. Treating every single person with dignity and respect. There was a lot going to n and because he stayed so calm, it kept everyone in there calm. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

George C | Expérience généraleStaff was fantastic! Just not great hours and it took forever for the uhual website to update hours to the correct ones and at least a few early/unexpected closures. You cannot access your unit after hours! The main negative here is that people will wait for you to go in or come out and run into the secured building to use the bathroom or just scope for units. The parking lot seemed to have new broken car window glass every time we visited - and I did not feel safe going alone at all. The office should be moved closer to the secure building, so A) crazies aren't waiting to run inside and B) there could be some deterrence for the same people that wait for you to forget to lock up your vehicle while going inside. And -1 star for someone in the office (not sure who) reporting me as sleeping in my car while I was sitting there pulling up directions and figuring out where to eat after spending an hour unloading and organizing. So many homeless people running in and out, saw cops come out 2x while visiting for crazy people "hovering" or insisting they get into the secured building. I seriously thought the cop made a mistake and was looking for a guy that the cops had been out to attend to when we had first gotten there and started unloading an hour before. Nope, he let me know that the office called and reported me. Extremely strange and off putting, especially since the cop blocked my car in by pulling up behind me and blocked the driveway in a mega dangerous way. Not a cool feeling and was really unnecessary of the office employee that decided to do that with no justified cause (I had been in my car maybe 10 minutes?). Overall, the building wasn't bad, just very poorly lit and the lights were often left off and the parking lot was definitely dangerous. Also, one of the staff circled inside the building 3 times to watch me in my unit/get a good look while I was organizing - he was an odd dude, polite, but that was super off putting as being a female alone there and he seemed to be leaving another family alone (even though they were driving their their atvs around the inside of the building before putting them in their unit) . 路♀️ so just lots of strange vibes and not great feelings. But if you're desperate and you buy a decent lock, your stuff should be fine - just don't leave your car alone for more than a couple of minutes!

I scheduled a truck pick up over the phone and when I got there no one was working in the building I had to unlock the truck virtually which is a pain only to find out that someone stole all the gas and the battery out of the truck I rented. The storage manager Matthew was a very rude individual who told us he would come help us unlock my storage unit within a 15 minute time frame And he showed up 45 minutes later. This location changed my lock on my storage so that my own key wouldn't work so that's why I had to wait for him to show up. Overall because this location is under managed you guys delayed my moving trip by three hours. This is the worst service I've ever had with U-Haul.

If you have paid for the month and move out before the following month, other storage facilities give you the pro rated rate back, you don't pay for the full month if you move out. This storage facility does not offer that. You move out, no pro rated money back. That's my only complaint. I think it's not a very good way to do business.

I was told that a 20' would be available if not we could get a bigger one for the same price. The manager that was there was in a rush, not very helpful, couldn't figure out which storage unit was ours, we think we were given the wrong one, the lock that was given did not fit, so had to get a different one, they are suppose to double secure the unit, no place did I see where they double secure it, the poor girl that was left to help, was so confused but very nice and pleasant. Overall this has not been a great experience and am regretting my decision to put our belongings there as I am not sure if our stuff will be safe or if it was double secured. I just don't know.
