It's not about the location , it's about U HAUL booking experience. Your website let me book 20' truck but then I received a call it's not available, then I booked 10' truck and a furniture dolly but when I went to get the truck and dolly, they had no dolly in stock . That location just have 2 furniture dolly's but were taken. Your website should not allow customers to book stuff if you can't commit to it. Also it was my error that I dropped keys to the box and tried to do a check-in later thru app. Since I was the first time user, I had no idea app will not proceed if odometer picture was missing so I couldn't do a check-in but I did call customer service and after 20 mins on hold, I told service rep about the situation. He put notes on the ticket that I did return the vehicle and couldn't sign in , still U HAUL charged me additional charges for after hours check-in. Please fix your systems so that new customers like me don't have to go thru all the hassle.

When i get the van it wasn't clean from inside and the agent did not came out with me to show the van he just handover me the paper to me and ask to find the van park at that parking spot spot.and when i returned the agent look at everything outside if the vehicle is ok . I've clean the van inside before returning it. Need to improve customer service .

In general all customer service at uhauls are not customer friendly. Often communication is limited with reprenstatives. And at times misleading saying insurance coverage is based in the usa which is false . Moving forward i do not plan on renting from uhaul in the future. I will buy my own trà iler. Absolute crap service.

I booked Furniture dolley along with pickup truck. When i reached there to pick up truck, they said we don't have Furniture dolley. It's first come first service. Indirect meaning was if your schedule pick up is at 3pm then come here at 6am, stand in lineup for dolley. If you are not sure then why you give options to book dolley online. Disgusting. Pick up truck was no mean to me. I wasted my money.

Remove the “Rent Me” sign in the windshield of the vehicle ready for departure. I didn't know where to put it so I just folded it and stored it behind the driver's seat.

When a customer picks up a truck, I would recommend the truck to have at least half a tank of gas instead of giving him an almost empty tank and forced him to fill it himself. This type of service might discourage the customer.

As a customer I do expect to be given a clean vehicle, both inside and out, however I had to ask to have the van given to me cleaned before leaving with it. Proper maintenance should be done also. Such as checking the air pressure in all four tires

the overall service has horrible. the website did not allow me to change pick up location and calling in was a nightmare. tried calling for 3 days! on hold until system went blank many times, answered by person with immediate hang up 3 times! obviously nobody cares about phone service.

Please advise your staff to get off their phones when a truck is returned. Your employee did not seem interested in talking to me. When sending pictures for review be the same as what I'm renting. I had pictures with graffiti on the truck, but the truck I rented had no graffiti on it. Not very organized. I'd have to have a fantastic deal to consider ever using U-Haul again.

As a first time customer I had the worst experience with the rental.I had only used it for 20 miles and had filled up 10 litres off gas before return still got changed 43 $for gas by the attendant . According to him it was still low one stroke than the 1/4 mark . Thanks for ripping people off ..

Ah I was so tired that I deposited the keys before signing out online. That caused me some concern when I was asked to take photos in the sign out process. I was happy to see that I was charged the correct amount the next morning.

Over the phone they told me one amount and charged on my card more even they took gas money which when I picked the truck it was not full tank of gas it was half a tank but took money from my card for full tank I don't know why they charged extra 30 $I emailed them to explain it to me but still did not receive any email I think it is not fair only used the truck for 2 hrs

I returned the van just at close of work. I entered the compound already as all employees were leaving. I was tol park outside and before I could reverse to exit the gate was locked. I was inside not knowing how to open the to go park outside as directed by one of your employees while he was driving out. Please explain to you customers how to exit when locked inside.

I have been renting from U haul from long time now and whenever i return the vehicle I fill it up most time it is more than the requested limit if return. This time it was on limit but the vehicle investigator charged me 9$ by saying that it is not on point. I tried to explain but he did not listen. I do not appreciate this kind of service. Thankyou.

Highly disappointed by the service I got from u haul . I reserved the truck on 31st jan got the confirmation of guaranteed rental. When I reached there I got to know that the employees of the particular u haul office didnt done their job as A result I was not able to pick up the reserved truck. Waste of time and financially I had to pay 100 dollars to the homeowner as a compensation as i promised to move her on that day. Disappointed by the service.

Customer service was poor. Line up of people waiting for staff to return to office. It is a very busy location and seems to be extremely under staffed. Due to COVID, hearing was also an issue. I do wear hearing aids but had a very difficult time hearing questions being asked.

I originally booked a 10x10 unit but later made adjustments to my reservation over the phone and was told I would be receiving access to a 10'x20' unit. When I arrived I was told it would be 10'x10', which negatively impacted my storage process. Also, I moved into the unit in the evening and the light for the lockup was out of order at the time, forcing me to move into the unit in the dark.

Like always crappy experience. I picked a location, they then called and changed. Sec location was closed, the lock box wouldn't open and was outside freezing for 25min. Then got sent to another location where it was open. Never did i get a good booking with uhaul!

For most of the time we were there the road in front of my locker was torn up forcing us to get super muddy every time we went. Then we received an email that our fees were being upped for an unknown reason.

Awful experience! I gave them my credit card information so they can charge me automatically, but instead I received an email every month saying that I was late on my payment and I had to pay late fees. In order to fix it I had to go 35 minutes away from home to pay in person. On top of all that, when I retrieved my client's things from storage, the mattress (the most important thing in the storage unit) was wet and with mold. The person in the front desk was totally overwhelmed with customers and was no help and insisted in charge me the next month Don't go to this location

This is a reasonably priced, clean and convenient place to store belongings. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like (and this a Uhaul in general, not this particular location) is the way that they bill. It's so confusing that I ended up being charged a late fee even though my account balance showed a 0 $balance owing.

I took photos of numerous safety violations inside and outside the building. Pipe piles and sheet steel roofs laying by entrance doors to my building not marked and I know I brushed the pile of steel corrugated roofing laying on the ground and was injured on my leg is a result. The day I was set to move out of my locker the lights surrounding my locker would not work so I couldn't remove my items. Maintenance Man was rude to me when I talked to him in passing. He was mad because I didn't know I need one of U-Haul locks on my locker. Next time I came to place items in my locker there was a second lock on my locker door saying if you want to access your locker you must come to the office and pay 25 $for the added lock or access won't be granted (I have a pic of the note he left). When I when't to pay for the new lock I had to wait 45 mins for the office staff to track down where the key was because nobody knew where it was.. The rows of roadway Inside the lot that surrounds the building were plugged up with u haul trucks, vans and trailers making it hard to get to your building because other renters had their cars parked blocking the road off entirely making you drive around looking for a way to exit . I've rented from other storage facilities and have never had any problems before. Wouldn't rent from that location again ever I'm not a hard person to please and not a grumpy person I'm 63 years old and am easy going but this place did make me a happy camper at all. Upon removal of my items some items were wet and pools of water on my items because I'm guessing the roof was leaking Above my locker boxes of Xmas decorations and Xmas tree was wet And other items as well.

When I rented the unit I told him that it would be for a month only.I picked up the stuff a day early.I told the lady in the office I was picking up my stuff and asked her if I needed to check out.She said no just go ahead.Four days after I picked up my stuff I got emailed a late notice so I had to make a special trip to go tell the guy that I picked up my stuff four days earlier.I probably need to use a storage unit in December and I am having second thoughts about using yours again.

I had a hard time deciding on how to answer #'s 3 and 6 as I have not yet had a chance to explore your facility or actually move anything into my storage unit yet. The office area was clean and at first glance appeared to be well maintained. The parking situation and construction is less than ideal. In fact, I almost decided to go with PS Storage instead due to ease of approaching and parking at the office. I'm on the fence yet (due to my unfamiliarity with the location) if I would recommend this particular uhaul location to a friend, but I would recommend the Nordel location as I've rented trailers and vans from them in the past and have friends who are long time storage renters there. UHaul as an organization/business has been good to deal with overall every time I've contacted them.

The process of attaining my unit was fine. When it came to moving my items in, it was very dark in the unit. I had no idea there were no light bulbs in the overhead lighting. Luckily my son had a small flashlight in his pocket.

All the stuff inside was covered in drywall from the ceiling. Also small black remnants that look like mouse dropping on all my stuff. The top of the door frame is missing and when I told the staff about it, it never got repaired. There's no lights in the unit as well. The concrete walls weren't very clean and light was visible from the outside through the cracks on the wall. I would not go here again.

They failed to mention that there is construction going on, so the unit was not accessible with a vehicle because the road is all torn up. We had to load a trolley and slowly pull it to the unit along a narrow (4 feet wide path, trying to avoid the huge 6 foot deep trench that ran along beside the whole building.

Your website offered a Free 12 $Lock with online orders for storage but once I got to the facility your customer service rep was not helpful & refused to even look into this, he refused to give me the Free lock. Of course I had no other choice but to Pay him the Lock because I had All my belongings & didnt want to delay everyone else waiting.

I moved from Winnipeg to Surrey Vancouver. The communication was zero between the two facilities. Apparently the date for the storage unit was entered incorrectly by Winnipeg. When I arrived I had no storage unit!! This was a horrible situation to be in right now. Luckily the lady here at the UHaul in Vancouver called around for us. When I did get to the UHaul facility where my belongings are now the service was amazing (store located at 84th Avenue in Surrey the General Manager Kulwinder Rai) you need more like him. I have never made a move like this so I did not know what to expect. Now I know I should have had more paperwork and clarified more information. I depended on your staff and I guess I should not have. In total I paid over 3 000,00 $ to move and this was very a stressful time and UHaul did not help.

While we book our storage 2 days ahead. Delta location front desk not even check reservation paper and rent out our reserved space. She simply says she rent out the space and let us to call head office to deal with her irresponsibility. We get transfered three times and eventually find a smaller storage than reservation. Very disappointed of this miscommunication. We drive all way back to Delta and Surrey. with full truck. Waste energy, time, and stressful. We need to return truck to a different location. in 96ave. Their rental sign is so tiny. We drive pass a few times too. It is not thought wisely for ppl to drop off their Uhaul. drivers are not able to see it.

Had a storage unit reserved and upon looking at it, determined it was a little too small. Asked for a larger unit and without any hesitation, helped us into a larger one. Very courteous and helpful

Unit Smelled bad, moldy, dirty. Water damage from pipes, & pipes took a fraction of unit. My boxes/contents have moisture. Glad to be gone. broken, restricted access during open hours. mouse traps?!

When i registered and paid for a storage unit. I asked to have a truck put aside for the day we were going to move into the storage unit. They did not reserve a truck for us and i had to go elsewhere.

When scheduling a rental van for U-Box unloading, I had been told they were open until 7, when in reality they were open until 5. This was difficult to coordinate with my friends' work hours.

King George Location not got it together called for a truck/10x20 storage too and had a reservation to go and find that reservation canceled and no trucks available do too them getting robbed for gas.

We reserved this unit. when I called to make sure it would be ready upon arrival, I was told they do NOT reserve units. PLEASE REMOVE THIS OPTION from your services. This is unacceptable.

reserved a 10x20 storage unit with credit card and got a confirmation number. On moving day I call to double check and confirm everything was OK and was told yes but only to arrive to no reserved spot
