The damage to the front bumper had nothing been noted. It was extremely obvious and significant. Feel like someone should do more than just hand over keys. Maybe spend time helping adjust mirrors. I had to go back in bc I could but get them to budge. Also make habit of looking in back of truck. There was a surprise in the truck today that we only found because the uhaul person was putting blankets in there. Many aspects of the rental process were great. The truck bumper was severely damaged and made noise each time I turned. The windshield wiper broke about 2 minutes after I started driving in the rain. We ended up having to tape the wiper. The truck was not clean inside. You could see stuff in the cup holders that had spilled.WEDNESDAY R.

After I got done loading all my property, I took it to a chevron to fill up probably a 3 minute walk from the uhaul location and I tried to start the truck and it would turn over so I went to the uhaul station to see if they could send anyone to walk down the road to try and correct the issue and they refused. So I went back to the truck still sitting at the pump and popped the hood myself and found the positive bolt going into the battery was stripped so I proceed to wrap the bolt to the battery with electrical tape and started it just enough to get to the truck to the station.JORDAN M.

We have used this facility for years but couldn't wait to move out. Staff are nice, but management is totally unhelpful. We paid for extra hours access but several times weren't able to get in. Though our storage units were never bothered, the building security was not secure. I would NOT recommend single women use or access this facility. The automatic front doors are open to the general public all day during business hours despite the fact that it is described as a "secure" facility. I inquired about why a code was not necessary and why it wasn't locked during the day, and I was told by management that it was "public." This is simply not true: I paid significant amounts of rent monthly to use it (350 $per month for two 10x10 units for years) and random passersby do not pay a dime; therefore, they should not have the same access as I do, and this certainly lowers the level of security. On several occasions, I had uncomfortable moments at this facility when transient men entered the building; they made lewd comments and drove back and forth on their bikes in front of the building, and as I was going in and out and would enter the front doors with their bikes to use the bathroom. The bathroom (on the first floor) was treated as public, rather than reserved for renters. Additionally, during COVID, the mask mandate was not enforced here.corrine s. | Expérience générale

The equipment broke down twice during the week that I had it, the driver's side door sounded like it was about to fall off (had to slam it really hard just to close and it still left wind blowing through the seals), and then after 2 delays, we were denied additional time with the truck. We requested an additional day to return since we had to cancel our movers due to the dead battery delay. They were unwilling to accommodate until I got passed to several people. There is zero customer service. I actually saw an employee having an intense argument with a customer...full on raised voices and it was super awkward. Beside that incident there seems to be very little support to the sales people, and it took a very long time to check out. When I got to my truck it smelled like cigarette smoke in the cab. On top of that there was a whole situation with my asking for a dolly, it not being included but I was still charged for it....finally I was able to get a partial refund and then had to call again to get a total refund. Sometimes situations happen where the customer unexpectedly does not need the equipment for the entire duration of the rental. Being more flexible with costs makes the experience feel more reasonable. Having ridgid policies that can never be changed is not a great way to treat your customersKEVIN C.

One issue is with U-Haul rather than this particular location. I picked up the truck with a hair under 1/4 in the gas tank. Since I was driving a very short distance, I planned to return without filling up. I drove 15 miles on the odometer and was billed 44 $for gas (including 30 $flat fee for returning with less than 1/4 tank). That's an extra 3 $per mile on top of the 0,89 $ per mile for mileage.Joshua M.

You need to properly vet your recommended movers as many things were broken and mishandled and I found out later that the movers were not paid for the work they provided. Jay with CenTrex Movers decided not to pay the "movers" that he got from Craiglist for 10 $per hour. I paid 80 $/hour and they arrived 2 hours late, Jay with CenTrex should be taken off the list of approved movers. I will be asking for a 165 $refund where the only reason I provided the approval code was to ensure the helpers were paid and that did not happen.STEVEN A.

Staff was rude and disrespectful when we set off the alarm. I explained we had only been there twice because we needed to store my daughter's items for college during the pandemic. BOTH experiences were awful. The first visit we were given the wrong codes which set off the alarm (not our fault) and the second time was purely accidental. The m staff member over the intercom was disrespectful and condescending. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. People who need a storage facility are generally in some form of transition. Manager was quite discourteous from the very beginning. I incurred a late fee at the very beginning of the pandemic after losing my job. He refunded my late fee, however, he was very unkind and and condescending. He expressed no empathy whatsoever and stated as long as I had the unit he would never refund another late fee. In October, the keycard machine wasn't working one night and a line of people had gathered and were trying to swipe in. I called the after hours number and it was the same unpleasant manager. Still discourteous. Still unhelpful. I hope that staff realize that moving into a storage unit can be a very low point in ones life, particularly after a job loss related to Novel Coronavirus. Thanks to Uhaull, I was able to store many items that freed my apt from clutter. Now that I have a larger dwelling and more space, I no longer need uhauls services. The only issue I had was the yearly price hike Uhaul charged to keep the storage space in the Somewhat 3 years I used their services. Shame on the general manager, he was too tired to answer the phone after hours and the only time he did, he was rude, definitely no customer service nor managerial skills, and on top of that, rip offs. We only used the storage half of the month and no refund, yet you are sending this survey and a final receipt meaning that we are not using the storage, I can almost guarantee that it will be rented to somebody else, so you are double dipping on the rent. When I was checking in I was returning my Uhaul truck and the person who was supposed to help me park it was so rude. I couldn't maneuver the truck because I'm not used to driving such a big vehicle so I asked him to help me and he refused, calling me a homophobic slur and saying I was stupid. I then went to ask the other person working outside to help and he yelled at me telling me I'm a big boy and can drive the vehicle by myself, which I couldn't. I went to the manager to tell him and he brushed it off like it was no big deal, and told me that he would do nothing about it. I will NEVER give my money to this UHaul location again knowing they are anti LGBTQ+ and just flat out rude. Been using UHaul for years and this is the only location I have ever had issues with. The facility itself was great. Clean. The only feedback I can give was that anytime I called over the past two years no one was ever available from that location and no one from that location answered the phone. This was frustrating because the only way to talk to someone there was to got physically to the location, wait on a long line of people who were renting trucks, and then my matter could be handled. This part was very inconvenient when I just had a basic question or need. That would be feedback that I would have to give.
