You could not cancel a reservation that a customer has made. And then once you finally find a replacement you could not charge the customer for the extra mileage they had to drive since it was out of their way to go pick up and drop off the uhaul. And then you could not have some young brat say that it wasn’t his problem when a customer tries to explain what was wrong. Also don’t allow people to smoke in your cabs.

My UBOX deliveries were delayed by 1.5 hours on BOTH ends of my trip, despite Moving Help arriving on time. When Moving Help did not have the correct truck to pull both boxes (on pick up) I was left to my own devices to figure out how to get the box to UHaul on Parsons- this took many hours of my time. UHAUL and Moving Help need better coordination to ensure that the contractors can fulfill their obligations. My boxes were missing for over a week. I spent HOURS on the phone with customer service - please listened to the recorded lines (919-946-4350). each call was easily 45-1 hour and I made multiple. The boxes arrived at the facility 12 days late, but I was only compensated for 7 ($50/day late) and when I tried to call and have this corrected there was not resolution, and no one could be contacted. Wednesday June 12: UHAUL called to say my boxes were ready and on a trailer at 3:30. When Moving help arrived at 4:00 the boxes had been removed from a trailer and the trailer given to someone else. This caused a 1.5 hour delay and as I result I had to pay my helper for his time and move my goods in the rain/dark. When calling the Colerain location it is VERY hard to get someone on the phone. I'd guess it's 1 out of every 5 or 6 calls someone will pick up. This is especially hard when they call YOU an you can't reach them back This experience showed me that no one at UHAUL is empowered to make decisions/changes to a reservation, and those that are have to be contacted on their cell phones, and not on a UHAUL line. Many calls were made to managers, regional managers, logistics managers.. Moving Help will ONLY talk to you by email. You cannot speak to a real person. I have a screen shot of being on hold for 45 minutes... still not getting to a real person. Additionally I have a chain of nearly 20 emails just trying to book moving help because the Colerain Location gave me an incorrect contract number. It was a time consuming, frustrating experience to move with UHAUL. This is not the service I expect for the $1,000 spent on the move. The move was from Columbus OH to Cincinnati OH. That is a 90-mile trip, and should not have been met with these complications.

After the experience at the pick up location, this was amazing. The gentleman checking me in greeted me. Had no issues with the fact I was turning it in early. Tried to get it discounted because it was a day early but it wouldn't work. Even made sure I got my credit card that had fallen out before I had left!

I was given a link to accept or update damage on the trailer. There was a scuff that was not visible in the pictures, but every time that I tried to upload a picture the app would crash. It wasn't a big deal, but it could have been a problem if there was more significant damage.

Please have customer support explain the check in procedure when I told them I would be returning the vehicle after hours. They indicated the drop box for the key but there's A LOT more to it than just dropping a key - glad I had my phone with me.

I waited on hold for a half an hour and still didn’t get through . Then was on hold again for 10minutes when trying to return truck. More Customer Service workers !!!

I had a reservation for 10 am. I got there at 950 and there were 7 people in line ahead of me. There was only 2 workers. I had to wait almost 45 minutes until it was my turn. There were multiple people ahead of me who had to come back after they left the building and/or parking lot. One lady came back because her uhaul wouldn't start, needed new battery. Which in return took away one of the workers in the building. It took him a good 20 mins to change a battery out. Another lady didn't recieve her packing pads and blankets and was told they were in the uhaul before she left the building. She had to come all the way back from her house where she noticed she didn't have. The lady 2 in front of me wanted a uhaul and didn't have a reservation. The worker told her that they didnt have any available until later in evening or tomorrow. He said it was a busy time of the month and a holiday weekend. Which I thought was strange. If you know it's a busy time, why wouldn't you have more workers. Then finally when it was my turn I was told the keys were in the uhaul that he just inspected/cleaned it and it was ready to go. The uhaul was somewhat clean minus the ashtray was super full. Me as a non smoker, I didn't like that, he could of at least emptied it and closed it. I go to leave after being there for over an hour and no keys. I had to go back inside and the worker came outside checked the uhual, then went back inside and came out 5 mins later with the keys. I left about 11:17. I made sure I had a reservation to speed up the pickup process as well as make sure a uhaul was available for me and I still spent almost an hour and half there. Never once did any worker apologize for the long wait. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the only negative review you get for yesterday. Every one of us customers were talking amongst each other and we were all upset. I will most likely never use this location again.

The day of my delivery, the driver and representative I spoke with were very helpful and friendly. However, earlier in the week I called to check the status of my U-Box, and the gentleman I spoke with said I could schedule a day/time for delivery. He said there was availability for 8am the following Saturday morning, so I scheduled that time and immediately hired movers to assist with unpacking/moving items to our apartment (it is a 3rd floor unit). The movers were only available from 8-10am and that was all I assumed I'd need them for. It was a very busy weekend with local college students moving out of apartments and dorms, so I was grateful I found help in such notice. The U-Box did not arrive at 8am, and when I called to check on an ETA for the delivery the woman told me the driver was out and my box would arrive between 11-12. This was very unfortunate, because I already hired and paid for help I could no longer use. We were very disappointed and up until this point we had a great overall experience with the whole process working with U-Haul. I am not sure why I was given an 8am delivery time when it did not arrive until 12pm--the driver however was very friendly and professional, so I am just upset with whoever I spoke with earlier in the week to schedule the 8am time slot.

The vehicle had some water leaks in the back storage area. About a cup leaked in through the attic storage area and an equal amount under the door seal. When dropped off the truck at Glenway Crossing, the technician said this is normal and can’t expect a water proof truck. Lucky we didn’t have any damage to goods or this would be a bigger deal. Seal up your trucks

This U-Haul location was among the better ones we have visited. The only thing I can think of to improve the customer service is to mention that the prices of third-party companies who help you move your furniture may rise as you approach the move date. Otherwise, I was very impressed.

Customer Service was non-existent. The moving blankets that I pre-ordered for rental were not in the vehicle. I called in when I found that they were missing. I waited on hold for almost 10 minutes. When I finally got someone on the phone - No apology, no concern, just.... "Did you want to come back and get them?" The pickup location had been changed to almost 25 minutes away from my original request. I wasn't going back. I asked about making sure they were removed from my bill and they told me to do it with the location I returned the vehicle to. I asked them, "what if that location is closed when I drop off?". Their advice was to just call U-Haul. Of course, there was no employee available when I dropped off at 877 Rte 83 in Elmhurst. I did the return through the U-Haul app. I tried to call the U-Haul number about my problem with the moving blankets and the wait time for the phone call was high. I figured I would call back at another time. Disappointing to say the least.

The worst thing was that 24/7 online pickup. If it wasn’t for the rep behind the desk, I would never gotten my keys . Online pickup app is horrible. Otherwise the site, the people, the van were great!

I rented a Uhaul van and needed it just for a few hours between 4pm and 8-30ish. However, the cashier put it in the system that I would return it by 7pm that day. Because I requested to return it after closing, I was charged for 1 day which was fine. Received a text message with that confirmation after renting it. Woke up the next morning to a phone call from one of the workers yelling “where is our truck?” I stated that I have 24 hours to return it and also have my confirmation text message to prove that even though it was entered in the system wrong. She then demanded that I returned it by 12pm or I would be charged for another day. When I wemy back to return it, I parked under the return canopy waiting for my ride to pick me up in which the wait was 13 minutes tops. A worker immediately came out to scan the back of the truck then walked up to the driver side. I let down the window and asked “can I help you?” She then stated “I need you to get out so that I can check the van in.” I looked at her with a confused and said “you can’t check it in until my ride gets here and he’ll be here in 10 minutes. I was told to bring the van back before 12pm. It’s here and I’m just waiting for my ride. Once he’s here you can then check it in.” She restated “I need to get in there and you can’t wait inside!” I said “you’re gonna wait like I said.” She then called me a dick and went back inside pointing back at the van I rented. I pulled over to the side so I wouldn’t be in the way just in case someone was also returning. When my ride arrived, I went back and parked under the canopy and went inside to return the keys. When I went in, the woman who approached the van was rolling her eyes and completely avoided me so I went to the next cashier. I told him I was returning and he told me to hold on and that he was going to inspect the van and come back in so that I could sign paper work. I let him know that I didn’t need to sign anything else and that my contract was already signed yesterday also that this was not my first time renting from uhaul. I then left. About an hour and a half I received another receipt to my email and it showed the mileage driven being almost doubled, I was charged twice for the appliance dolly that I only used once, and I was charged $20+ for the van for 2 days in which the van is only $19.95. I’m livid!!! I never had an experience like this before and I’ve always rented from the Glenway Crossing location. Never again!!!!!! The woman that approached the van is a white female kind of boyish looking. The guy that tried to scam me into signing twice, his name is Richard Edwards.

The employees of that location are untruthful in their statements. We was told to reserve the truck for 6 hours and if we needed it for the 24 hours it would be no problem. Because of weather conditions we called to tell them we would need the truck for the 24 hours so we did not have to unload our belongings in the unexpected rain, snow,and ice. They told us the truck had to be back by 8pm. Because they reserved it with someone else. If I would not have been told keeping the truck longer would have been an issue I would have reserved it for 24hrs. The following morning after returning the truck I get a phone call at 8am asking for a key for a pad lock that was chained and attached to the truck. Obviously it is not my lock. So why would they not have a key to a lock on their truck . and the woman was very rude with me about us locking the lock when your customer service line we called that night told us to do so. So needless to say with all of this I will never use your services again. It was the worst experience customer service wise i have ever had.

I came back in to tell the employee(s) that the charger port wasn’t working properly and one of the ladies (that wasn’t even assisting me) asked me if I “actually even needed that feature. . .” Considering the fact that I needed to plug my gps in made it inconvenient but other than that the ‘Tiffany’ working was very professional and timely and had 0 issues with getting me into a fully operable truck.

They had our stored U-boxes out in an area where a truck could back up to for unloading of the U-boxes. The truck we rented was there and ready to load. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
