i booked my pick up at 7am, when the shop was supposedly open. no one arrived until 8:30am. once inside, i was told they tried to contact me because they didn't have the size truck i reserved...i never got any type of correspondence. no email, no phone call, no text.

The customer service I received was extremely exceptional. The employee by the name of Vernice Brinkley went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me in my time of need. It was very urgent I get a truck and she didn't everything in her power to assist in a fast and friendly manner.

Brigette was rude and kept me on hold on the phone. She actually did not answer my call. She left message on my voice mail. She thought she hung up but she was still recording. She said “She just does not get it!! (Taking about me) WHY is she calling back!!!” Customer service is very poor. She told me that the truck broke down. But isn't UHaul a large company? Would UHaul own more than one truck? My containers were emptied sooner than anticipated and all I wanted was a sooner date. She was not willing to listen.

The manager was helpful, but was not sympathetic at all to my plight and the fact that this very same problem has occurred to other people, according to the lady at One Stop Shop #2. To quote a famous line from the movie "Cool Hand Luke", "What we have here, is a breakdown in communication", that is, within the U-Haul establishment!

Staff was was polite and friendly. My issue is with the vehicle I rented. When I got in the vehicle the gas light was on. Blinker light on the passenger side was out. Bad vibration when breaking. Vehicle was clean. Also I returned the vehicle the same day and got a phone call two days later asking if I returned the vehicle. Over all due to the staff being friendly I would go back . Hopefully get a vehicle with no issues on the next rental.

Family separation began complicated with 2u-boxes not being able to be hauled from state to state. Janaf associates' seemed to start off helpful, but quickly turned sour. At the very end, I was told that they were trying to go home at 5p, when I had called for assistance, and was told that they had followed their phones, and never received help, even after going into the location.

It was the wrong location. I reserved a truck to pick up in Hampton, Virginia on Friday afternoon at 4 pm, I even prepaid for it. However, less than 24 hours before I was to pick it up, I get a call saying no truck was available at that location. I had to drive to Norfolk, Virginia, which isn't that far away, but because it was a Friday afternoon it took 90 minutes to get there and over an hour to get back. Not cool.

Being overcharged and told more miles then I drove on drop off and dropped of truck was told they will get it processed and send me email, had to go find me emails as they were not sent. Whole thing has been a headache and still being one. Give me my money back please. Was told 400, spent now over 600, not cool at all and still having headach with lady I dropped off qith and she using personal phone to manipulate customers. Hope the cameras match my picture when I dropped truck off and video recordings don't happen to go disappear on us or say wasn't recording. Would be more hardship on me.

The truck was covered in mud on the outside, the inside of the truck the steering wheel had sticky residue on it and the side panel of the door. The staff at janaf could also have been a little more professional instead of talking about customers right in front of other customers.

The biggest problem is that the app allowed me to reserve a storage unit here that wasnt available.(Your app is garbage. I screwed around for 2 hours trying to book this rental with no success.) But when I called to get rental set up by phone,EVERYONE I spoke with was helpful,pleasent, And corrected issues right away.

A nail and screw was in right rear tire. No, i didn't know until i arrived home. They both was under the tire where you wouldn't gave seen until tire moved. I prayed that it would hold until i returned. I showed your representative.

When I arrived, the associate that helped me did not acknowledge me as she was doing something on her phone, I felt as though me coming to pick up the truck I reserved interrupted her phone time. Also, I was given very little instructions where the truck was located, how I was to bring the truck back, and she acted very annoyed when I questioned the price.

I made a "reservation" online on April 8 for a storage unit because I trust UHaul to be a reputable company. I packed all of my belongings after a horrible divorce and I'm starting over. I had a helper with another car on a car hauler when i got there with very little money. I was informed my "reservation" was not really a reservation because my first month is free anyway and my card was not billed so I could go down the street and try a competitor because this one was full!! Now, listen I'm homeless, living in a hotel. Where should I put my things??? I cannot afford to drive around and look for a place. Someone did help me, but what a nightmare this was for me! Why would your company DO this to people when it says it all OVER your brochures?? I have an anxiety disorder, and this has sent me into something I did NOT need. I will be moving again and I'm not sure if I will go with your company again or not. I should be reimbursed some of my money. Thank you. Andrea Malloy.

I got there and when I was greeted I handed the employee my phone which was my reservation email. For 5 to 10 minutes I was denied and told that there was no truck available eventually. Then I had to explain that I was renting a storage unit. Seem like the girl helping me needed assistance in every step of the process which made it quite drawn out. The girl that helped her was very nice. Everything else was a positive experience thanks..

There is a hole in the ceiling of the unit. But they didn't have another one that size. I was concerned that it could leak in the unit but the salesperson stated that it didn't leak inside.. so I took her word for it and prayed the rest of the ceiling doesn't fall in

I am not upset about anything specifically at the facility. Employees were nice, units looked fine, hence the positive review. The only problem I had (which was a major problem that caused me to look for storage elsewhere) was that the uhaul website advertised this location as climate controlled, and it is not. This was a major factor and I found storage elsewhere.

The only concern I have is safety for my things because there is no gate and the other concern I have is that there are mice. My first storage unit had a ton of droppings in it and the mouse trap put inside wasn't filled w mouse poison. The other unit also didn't have any mouse poison in the bait trap. It was quickly rectified by your staff but I'm hoping mice do not destroy my couch and other items. Other than that the staff was really nice and inside the store was very clean.

Toni was amazing! She was knowledgeable, thorough and efficient. She should have a golf cart to run to check units. She literally has to run to 3 different units to ensure I had proper size to accommodate my belongings. She was courteous and caring to ensure I had everything I needed. She should be manager or be training staff. She deserves recognition for her outstanding level of customer service! She was just as good with other customers before me.

Honestly probably some of the worst customers service I've had. I wait for an hour and a half for him to help put a lock on my unit the lock he didn't tell me I had to by when I came in 10am that morning as well as he didn't give me the lock to lock up our truck. I had to come in a second time to get everything I needed and waited over an hour for something as simple as lock. I called earlier in the day to see if it was okay to park our uhaul there overnight which he agreed we got there and he gave us a spot then walked away came back two minutes later and said actually don't park here they'll steal parts off the truck and told us to park at Walmart even though he parked us surrounded by trucks and we called ahead to approve. End up being late to work when there was a 2 hour window; didn't have anything I needed for the units; as well as the guy just being unhelpful

Autumn on Monticello and Chris on Taby went above and beyond to help me. Chris had 5 or 6 people wanting him or call for him or waiting in line and he was amazing. He started focused, kind, patient and professional. I was so impressed with his multitasking abilities. There was a young lady there training and she jumped right in and helped every way she could. You have amazing people working for you here in Norfolk VA.

Bathroom was filthy. No toilet paper or paper towels. The male staff member was belligerent, obnoxious, and rude. The female staff member was extremely helpful. The manager needs more than three staff members working as they could not handle the load of customers.

Gave a lot of money renting out the unit but could not get a refund on unused days after paying the last months payment. Paid 08 AUG and closed the unit 26 AUG. Got $0.00 back. What a rip off.

The only thing I didn't like was that I autopayed and I was only there three days and they wouldn't give me a refund for the rest of the month knowing that they will rent the same space the next day and will be paid twice for the same month

I was first directed to Monticello location. Elevator was not working! Staff worked diligently to find a location on Raby Rd. Staff at both locations were professional, courteous and very helpful.

The I-Haul was pick up at New Jersey . As we were on are way to Virginia we had pull in to store and I open the glove department to check The paper work on the truck and found marijuana.

Employees of warehouse for ubox storage were excellent. I was not completely satisfied with warehouse climate, however, 2 pieces of furniture had mold beginning to grow. Glad I did not leave in ubox

We had some issues with the Ubox service from the beginning. A lack of communication from your team, 2 hours spent on the phone. Multiple different answer from ever staff member. It was exhausting.
