Young lady that works at your counter in the evenings especially on my date of rental. Not only was rude and smug she made it very difficult to rent a $15 trailer. She had an attitude and was doing all the wrong things for the matter of fact I was going to walk out but I'm not going to shoot myself in my own foot when I needed the trailer. She even turned me her head another employee and rolled her eyes and batted them acting as if I was inconveniencing her would be a very good way of putting it she went on to tell me we could not do business unless I had my cell phone it was left in the car so she immediately without acknowledging or asking ask the man standing next to me to use his phone and download my license onto his phone which that was the purpose of needing the phone. I had to stop and tell her I don't know this man well and I don't want my information on his phone. Well game over in her book she could not take my license and scan it into the computer since I'm the driver and I'm the renter. She made it as difficult as possible while she was unpacking merchandise making noise it was hard to hear her through a mask, then she turned to me and said you don't know the man standing next to you? And rolled her eyes again. so I turned around went outside and got my cell phone and brought it back in since the original reservation was already set with payment information etc. turned her back on me and told me tell me when you've got it scanned into the website front and back well I didn't have enough memory on my phone to complete her miserable task that she could have done for me. so I stood there like an idiot and erased a couple programs to make more room so I could download my license onto your website because she couldn't do it there at the counter she refused. Then when she asked me how come I didn't know the guy next to me... I said to her what are you the police or something? She said back to me" are you the police? ' mocking anything I would say to her at this point we were going to leave this is the third time now she's gotten smart mouth. fortunately for me I erased my programs I had enough memory to scan my driver's license onto the U-Haul website so I can go forward. Then the young black fella that sitting down next to on his cell phone got up because of her order to go hook me up couldn't figure out my tail lights I did it in about four seconds. The woman come out with her tester if you will the test to see if there's current in it the most ignorant thing I've ever seen. he plugged it into this and he plugged it into that and said I have no power therefore I will not be allowed to take the unit off the property. I told jet skis I know my stuff is good so I get out and I go back in the back and I said well give me the strand of wires for the U-Haul trailer unit took it popped it into mine and everything worked fine. When I did that I of course had to take that little blue tester off that was garbage, that was still in the palm of my hand when I plugged the trailer I'd send to my truck real quick and short the young black fellow says " give me back my tester", which after I stood up from hooking my trailer lights to your trailer I put it in his hand like I was going to keep it or something really upset me. now I get to go back inside and finish my paperwork I've been there 35 minutes on a reservation. Screwing with your computer services for scanning my license and ID having to use my cell I didn't bring with me inside that is and then him messing with the trailer lights he knew nothing he was going to write it off and I had to leave without being able to go finish my task I was renting the unit for. Now I am back at the uhaul counter. my credit card information was saved just so I could make the reservation of course would have been used if I went ahead with the purchase which that's what I was doing, by now it's dark outside and it's been 45 minutes. I've been there to pick up this unit there's nobody else around it's not like there was a bunch of customers and she was busy. Never giving me respect of eye to eye contact, and still rattling tape and packages which was hard to hear under her mask anyway. I asked for her undivided attention so we can fail in the transaction and I could leave and get out of there. She has erased my payment information.. ERASED IT. SO I go back to my car get my purse and bring my credit card..FEELING TOTALLY AGGRAVATED AND HUMILIATED BY THIS YOUNG KNOW-IT-ALL WOMAN VERY SMUG. I RETRIEVE MY WALLET WITH MY CARD BRING IT BACK INTO THE STORE.. transition moves smoothly and I was very happy to leave. The equipment was fine the rate was fine. I want to write it off to Young stupid and immature but these two and he was included, were rude to me and the person I brought with me. Acting like a big she- snob I would say with something about the young black man that was sitting next to in a chair on his cell phone the whole time we were standing not in his head and agreeing with everything she said as she rolled her eyes for the second time at him, meaning that expression was meant for my friend and I like were morons nd an arrogant person too because of that trailer and the wiring he couldn't get straight and I didn't less than four seconds it's just a matter of plugging it into the plugin on my truck which we stood out there in the cold almost 10 minutes flipping switches to see if the blinkers worked on and off for no avail from him I get it working in no time he turns around and walks off and acts like I'm going to keep his little broken tester I don't know if that's a trick to buy more product or not but it was really suspect. You asked for a review I'm giving you a review number one when a customer walks in you greet them and give them your undivided attention. Number two,... Don't ask who the customers with to do the customers paperwork that was outrageous and I had to say I didn't know him and she didn't even catch the drift I was trying to imply she said back to me you don't know him ??? "like what's he doing with you "with a stranger she was really a rude little character. Upon being greeted they should ask have you brought your ID with you and they should be able to take that ID and scan it right there at your counter and make it easy on the customer what if I didn't bring my cell phone at all does that mean I couldn't finish my task cuz she was not going to take my license and scan it heck no that was against her orders. Speaking of orders that's a good way to phrase how she spoke to me and my friend who came with me to help and as far as the young black man he had an attitude he didn't want to be there he didn't want to mess with my trailer he could care less the two of them together should both be fired. And tell them why they are so maybe next time they could be nice they're working for a company not their own if they want to act stupid let it be on their own watch on their own business but not on U-Hauls so I've taken my time to write this to you and I hope somebody reads it and if you want to call about it be more than happy to talk about it. But to come to your account and be blown off because she's busy rattling product out of its box and making noises and she can't hear me cuz I'm not speaking loud enough because I can't hear her and she doesn't give me attention to hear her and showing respect that I'm standing there. IT SHOULD NOT BE REQUIRED THAT I HAVE TO HAVE MY CELLULAR PHONE ON MY PERSON UP AND RUNNING WITH PLENTY OF MEMORY, IN ORDER TO DO BUSINESS AT U-HAUL AND SHE CORRECTED ME WHEN I ASKED HER WHY DO I NEED TO DO IT ON MY PHONE HERE IS MY LICENSE CAN'T YOU DO IT ON YOUR COMPUTER??? HER ANSWERS WERE NO NO AND NO. I'M A SMART EDUCATED MATURE WOMAN YOU NEED TO GET RID OF HER BEFORE SHE GETS YOU SUED. I did not proof this first cuz I didn't want to type all this to you but you get the Gest of it. I should not have to have my cell phone in order to do business with you it's your counter and the only reason why and I had my reservation number written down but she erased it all, I came and prepared with two IDs money and my reservation number that should have been enough I was there over an hour playing games with these people. I say get rid of them both if you can get them replaced fairly easily cuz she's got an attitude and I see what my comments will be posted for the public to read so now she's going to have a bigger attitude I don't know why this doesn't go to management maybe it does good luck to everyone's going to that woman's counter bring your patients too

During our trip both back tires had to be replaced. This was the second location. The first location on Portsmouth Blvd's equipment had only 2 working lights..no brake lights...Unacceptable..we had to drive an additional 30 minutes to the second location only to then have the tires replaced on our trip. Disappointed!

The manager release my auto transport to someone else that wasn't me. Not only did they not verify the other person's ID, but they released them MY trailer and then charged my credit card for $1700. Not only did it cause significant always to moving, but I also lost the help that I hired to pack because I wasn't back to the house in time and I also had serious financial issues since the $1700 unauthorized charge hit my credit card keeping me from being able to get the trailer that I needed when I found one through a different, more reliable company. Absolutely unbelievable that they would release my reserved trailer and charge me $1700 because someone else had his wife come in and raise a fit because he refused to show uhaul his ID. U-haul should have never released the trailer to this man without ID and I should have never been charged for the trailer that he took.

Trailer had two wooden pallets, a lot of shrink wrap & a crushed package of pork sausage in it. I should of checked inside trailer before I left, but wrongly assumed that Uhaul would check trailers out before renting them.

1. Your app did not work properly. I made the reservation using it and when I arrived it ultimately made me go inside to the counter. 2. The counter had a line of about 5 people and there was one seasoned rep and the other was not trained. When I got to the counter none of my reservation information was available. I had to give all the information again AND give my card information. I hadn't brought anything in with my because I had already done everything on the app and was suppose to be just picking up my equipment. So I go out to my car and come back and have to them wait additional time because now the rep is helping another customer. 3. Also worth noting that I asked to be able to upgrade my truck and was told that there weren't any of the type I wanted. When I parked however I saw many trucks that were available. 4. Fast forward to today, as I realized that there was a piece of furniture left in the truck. I called and spoke with Robert who told me after speaking with his manager Steve that if even though per your company's policy I was to be contacted immediately when the truck was looked over that I had left my property in the truck and I was not, since I did not contact the store about my property then they threw it away. I will be contacting Steve to discuss this further. I would like to get a copy of your security video to see what happened with my property. I also want to file a formal complaint with your company because per your policy I should have been contacted and I was not. I find fault with your company and it's employees for not adhering your policy.

I was more pleased with the location I had to change to due to prior users did not return truck than the original location. Not that the people weren't friendly at the Shell but that there seemed to be more people to assist me and the other customers at the same time. Everyone was friendly at both places and I was satisfied with the 10 cent discount due to location change. THANK YOU~I WOULD USE YOU ALL AGAIN AND RECOMMEND YOU AGAIN!

After purchasing insurance to ensure I would not have any exposure, I am told that since the incident was not a collision with another party no insurance applied. Furthermore, the towing is not covered. The tow company charge is 4,000 Uhaul then charges me 5,000.00. So not only am I not insured, Uhaul wants to mark up the towing a full 125 o/o to try to make 1,000 dollars. I cannot even begin to tell you how angry I am right now. Lower than low. I will never use this company again and will spread the word as wide as possible. What low life's!
