I verified over the phone that I could pull a uhaul trailer with a budget rental truck. Drove 30 minutes to get there to have the counter person tell me the CEO says no and made me go back home get another vehicle. Wasted 2 hours. Counter person was a smug jerk more worried about visiting with his friends at the counter than taking care of customers. Will never rent uhaul again. Will make sure to tell everyone I can to avoid uhaul.

Reservation definition: to arrange for (a room, seat, ticket, etc.) to be kept for the use of a particular person and not given to anyone else. I went on Uhaul and reserved a 10' van only to get to my pick up location and be given a 9' van. This caused me to have to make 2 more trips which added miles to my total bill. I asked the gentleman working the counter why and he told me they didn't have any 10' vans. Why would the website let me reserve a 10' van if one was not available at the store. Then I go outside to the pick up spot and there is 6 10' vans outside. Those same 6 vans were still in the same places when i came back to drop my truck off. This is my second poor experience with Uhaul with poor customer service. In the future I will try on of the competing companies.

Reservation was screwed up from the call center. I needed the vehicle all day and they booked until 1pm. They had me phone number wrong even after we corrected in in the call, so I didn't get me confirmation call or text. Diego did what he could to help even after I was a jerk.

When making the reservation, I was informed that I could pick up the rental equipment at a location closer to my home. Upon arrival at that nearby location, I was informed that the pickup was at a location very far from my home. No notification was given of the change.

The uhaul trailer was clean but it had a leak. When we got to our destination all of the boxes at the bottom of the trailer were wet from water. We were moving to a third floor apartment with no elevator so moving wet soggy boxes were not a good experience and pictures have been ruined.

I had originally booked a truck to be picked up at 2100 the night previous to this rental. Upon arrival at the scheduled pick up location I could not find any info for how to pick up the keys. After 5 calls to customer service I was informed that Colorado did not offer after hours pick up. This not only delayed my loading, but it wasted an hour of my time and the kicker is that I could have picked the truck up during business hours but elected to wait until my partner was available. The final agent I spoke with was helpful in booking this reservation. The move did not go as planned of course and when I called to extend my reservation that customer service agent was less than thrilled to assist although she did eventually update my order. The truck itself could use new weather stripping as the doors were quite leaky in the rain/snow mix we had. The cargo area was mostly clean except for the threshold of the cargo area that was caked with mud as well as the ramp. Thanks to the rain and snow I managed to track quite a bit of that in to the cargo hold which I was constantly cleaning. Oh, and I have not seen or have no access to an itemized bill so I am still trying to figure out the $143 I was charged. Less than great experience.

Our original pick up was in Boulder, CO. When we arrived at the designated time, the trailer was there, but the place was closed. We were then instructed to go to Denver, which was way out of our way, cost more in gas, and the location was very inconvenient. We later found out there was no license plate on the trailer.

Not enough reps to handle the volume. DID not thoroughly explain drop off times or equipment necessary. Outdated equipment hookups. Assign an incorrect pick up time causing additional fees at drop-off. OFF by 2+ hours. No one answers phones at any location Saturday causing excess miles trying to find the right location for pick-up after Uhaul changes my pickup location 4 times. I'll never rent from uHaul again.

I have had a horrible time with this rental I set my pick up time and location -I was then called and the time was changed to the middle of the night and then pick up was moved to downtown we picked up the truck with 1/4 tank of gas- used the truck- put 1/4 tank of gas in- brought it back - the receiving employees where too busy to help- had me leave and drop keys in box - then was charged for a full tank of gas and random charges and to date have had no response from customer service

I am beyond upset with UHaul and my reservation. First, the original truck was not available at the original location, which I was able to look past since that's not your fault, but that's only where things started. After working with the customer service representative who called me to let me know that my truck wasn't available, she sent me to a new location where she assured me a truck would be ready. When I arrived I was greeted with poor service and no truck and sent away. I called back the service center and asked why I was sent to a locaiton that didn't have a truck for me and that sent into a tailspin of 'he said she said' garbage that I did not have time for. I stayed on the phone with the customer service representative for a good 20 minutes and she sent me back to the location I was just turned away from. Magically a truck existed, which I was thankful for, but the service was still poor and unfriendly. When I returned the truck I had put some gas into it (appx. $8) after driving it only 11.5 miles. The service clerk still though it was under the mark so I was slapped with an addiotional $15 charge! This is outrageous. I will NEVER use Uhaul again and I strongly do not recommend them to anyone. Pathetic is an understatement.

when I returned the vehicle the attendant was very aggressive and threatened to charge me double as he said i was late. I was NOT. I picked up the van at 3 pm the previous day and had it for 24 hrs... I returned it 9:30 am. Completely inappropriate that he yelled at me and I will not be back to this location ever. I have previously been here 3 times this year. Never again.

There was no walkthrough once the truck was rented, the office was filthy, and wasn't given any instructions on gas/speed etc. There was a governor on it, and it seemed that it never got out of the red when I was driving, in terms of the gas mileage etc. I feel like if i went 55 or 75 it wasn't getting the mileage it should have. Amanda was very rude, could not fully explain why I was being over charged on my account by 55$. She did not have any customer service skills. When I was trying to get a explanation to the charge her coworker rudely came up and said “are you almost done with them I need help”. They need a intensive customer service training class there. Very rude people no interaction or professionalism at all. I will never go back to that location every or recommend it. She also charged me for a dolly I never broke the seal or used and refused to take it off I asked her how I would take it off and she didn’t know. I then said “do I need to call a customer service for this” and she said “yes”. Ridiculous and bs. No brains from them at all looked like they sat around all day getting high and not caring for the paying customers! Don’t go there and don’t trust Amanda!!!!

Really disappointing experience. When I got to the location at my scheduled time (5:00am), the key box didn't work. I ended up speaking with someone in customer service for 30 minutes (who was very nice and helpful), but my only option was to come back when the location opened four hours later. The van I rented was in good shape and I had no issues with the actual moving process. However, the employee I spoke with when returning the vehicle gave me a hard time and argued with me a bit. I walked away feeling pretty terrible.

Better instructions for the app. At first I couldn’t get it to work because I had to share my location with my browser. Then the site wouldn’t let me take a picture of myself so I had to log out and start all over again before it would work. Luckily there was a uhaul employee to help me and explain how it worked. I think I saved time by skipping the line but it was still stressful.

Well if employees would do there jobs correctly ,that is if there trained to do it correctly, then the company would have more satisfied customers. I drop a rental truck off at 530 PM and was told they couldnt check it in until the am. How convenient of that to happen, because I was not there for there check in they feel they have the right to charge the customer whatever they feel like charging. I filled the gas tank back up maybe past where I recieved it, and on there check in they claimed they had to put fuel in the truck which I had already did. And to top it all off I only traveled a total of 20 miles. So if you trucks only get like 2 miles to a gallon you need to get better trucks. If that's not the case you need to train your employees that it's not right to rip off your customers because they feel they can. Just do your fucking job and quit trying to steal from people who did nothing wrong. I WILL NEVER EVER RENT ANYTHING EVER AGAIN FROM UHAUL AND IM TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHAT A SCAM OF A COMPANY UHAUL REALLY IS. THANKS FOR RIPPING ME OFF IT MADE MY BAD DAY EVEN WORSE THANKS UHAUL

Everyone was super friendly and when customers have choices as we do in Denver, I go for friendly. Trucks are trucks, but it's the people who make the difference. From the check in staff where I paid, to box recommendations which helped my TV be safe!, to the guy with the BIG smile checking in my truck (what an awesome guy), I couldn't have been more pleased.

This location hooked up my car onto the auto transport trailer. When the U-Haul location in Dallas, TX attempted to unload the car, the chain used to secure the vehicle was stuck on the axle. It was finally removed about 5 hours later, but we had to bring the car back to our house and it delayed the movers. It also prevented the movers from being able to utilize the ramp on the U-Haul truck. Due to the issue, we had to pay the movers $100 extra. The U-Haul staff in Dallas commented that the chain was not installed properly (by the Denver location).

When returning the trailer the staff inside the rental center would not accept the return and sent me outside to deal with employees outside. The employee outside (Aaron) told me I had to wait until he checked in all these vehicles in front of me that were dropped off overnight. He would not check in my trailer and print my receipt even though I was the only customer present on the lot. I went back inside, waited in line again, to have the staff inside check in my vehicle which should have just been done originally. This staff is not focused on customer service. I would not recommend this location to a friend or family member.

I had an absolutely despicable experience using uHaul. And what makes it so bad is I only got rental BOXES! I made a reservation for 12 boxes on 3/11/19; got my confirmation email saying they'd be ready at 5:00. So I drove out to the uHaul and the (LAZY) guy that was working said they were out of stock. So what I don't get is HOW can you make a reservation for something that doesn't exist? As if moving wasn't stressful enough, you'd think that a company the size of uHaul would be able to figure out some kind of menial system to keep track of their inventory. But I guess that's what I get for assuming. Now that experience was absolute crap. Then I rebooked the reservation for the location on Colfax. Go over there and the guy doesn't even help me load them in the car... I mean doesn't even hold the freaking door open. Then I went to drop them off today and the cashier was a real jerk. I just don't understand how y'all employ the people that you do. It's like you find the laziest people with the worst attitudes and give them a job. Needless to say, I'm 120% dissatisfied the way both experiences went. I hope that someone who actually cares about customer satisfaction gets this email and reacts appropriately. And in case you don't know what that means, I hope that these employees either lose their jobs or get a real attitude adjustment and learn how to treat people. For a company that has been around for 75 years, I can only imagine how good customer service used to be compared to the excuse that it is now. Hopefully y'all can give life to that again. I tried to do mobile login and it said I could get the keys. They were given to me so I drove off. The gas tank had 20 miles remaining and there was no dolly in the truck as requested. I was called by 4 separate people within an hour of leaving asking me if I would be there to pick up the truck I was driving in that moment. I prepaid and they gave me the keys and I was threatened that they would report it stolen because they gave me the keys in error. After several calls and being hung up on a couple times an associate called and we completed the check in over the phone, which anyone of the previous calls could have completed.

This place is totally sorry. Waited 2 hours to get an auto transporter. Made the reservation weeks in advance only to be told the day-of that they didn't have the tow dolly we originally reserved. So, instead we almost paid more money for an auto transporter, but I was vocal and said that wasn't happening - so they gave us a killer deal on the auto transporter to shut me up.The delay at this place (due to the alleged slow computers) set us back 3-4 hours of getting to our final destination. Totally unacceptable. What a joke.

What a freaking joke! I made a reservation WEEKS in advance in anticipation for our move. Only to find out on the day that we picked up our truck, there was no tow dolly available, so we would've had to pay more for an auto transporter had I not voice my irritation about the fact we made the reservation well in advance and they didn't have the item we requested available. Also, we spent TWO HOURS in this location because they couldn't get their stuff together. They charged my credit card THREE SEPARATE TIMES for the auto transporter. The first time, they tried to charge us $551 - I am still waiting on that to be credited back to my credit card. Then, they charged us $196 - that finally dropped of my credit card and was refunded. Then finally, they charged us $171 - as a courtesy for all of our trouble. What a freaking joke. I will never be in this place again - we have used this particular location for 3 separate moves and the last move was a nightmare. The fact we had to stay and wait for 2 hours for them to get things figured out - set us back at least 3-4 hours of getting to our final destination. NEVER. EVER. EVER. AGAIN. In the parking lot, I saw a couple walking in and told them I had been waiting 2 hours and to go somewhere else because this location is a joke. You guys need to figure this out or you will lose business. Totally unacceptable.

It's nearly impossible to park legally to pick items up or drop them off. The few parking spots that exist across the street are taken up by those who rent trucks. The front door is up a large couple of stairs, making it difficult to get in/out, especially with boxes.

When a person rents a truck you might offer them a twowheeler dolly to rent. I had my own so I didn't have to ask. But that's something a normal renter would easily overlook till they get back to their house and realise they could use one.

The salesman was texting while checking me out at the computer. I had to look over the desk to show him I was was watching. The woman who booked my uhaul booked the wrong size after she had used her tool to calculate the size of uhaul I needed. When I asked for an upgrade there were none available to rent. I ended up not only taking double trips but they wouldn’t allow me to drop it off at another location. They also gave me a piece of paper telling me how much gas to add which was wrong. I ended up over filling the tank by 1/8th and they wouldn’t credit me. The employees are lazy and have zero customer service skills. If you need a uhaul I’d use any other uhaul besides this one!!!! Terrible experience!!!

Upon Arrival I followed the self pick up instructions to retrieve my rental. After going through the complicated process of setting up the account online I was sent to retrieve my Key from a lockbox with nothing in it. I flagged down a person doing maintenance on the rentals later in the morning after burning time for my move in. He was able to give me the key. I had rented a truck to have equipment in it only to arrive at my apartment to find nothing. On top of all this the vehicle was tucked away piled with snow and in a place that was difficult to get out of. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND AND WILL ADVISE TO GO ELSEWHERE.

The original drop off location (Old glory fireworks) isn't accepting returns until May which was a waste of time when we had to drive in opposite directions to finally return the truck.

The location chosen on the app for before opening pickup did not support early am pickup. This wasn't identified until I called at pickup time. Then the trick I requested wasn't available for the time I needed it. Upon returning the truck they said i caused a scuff on the decal on the passenger side of the vehicle. It was covered by the damage protection. Nevertheless, i did not cause this mark. It wasn't noted by the tech on checkout and as a normal looking mark on the side of a rental truck I thought nothing of it. I did not create this mark, and there fact I wasn't believed at the return rally bothers me. The truck wasn't properly inspected before check out, but reservation wasn't reviewed before pickup. Uhaul gives me the feeling they really don't care at all about the customer experience.

Agent claimed there were no 10 foot $19.99 trucks available as they were all reserved. He said he didn’t have any trucks but I ask him look at other locations. He finally came up with a larger truck for $29.99 at more cost per mile. There were plenty of snow covered 10 foot trucks on the lot when I was there at 1pm and the same trucks snow covered trucks were still there at 6 pm when I returned the larger truck. Can you say ‘Up sell’. Not good business practice.

Great interactions with the employees inside but the man outside wasn't the friendliest. He was offended I asked if I could take a photo of my ending mileage (for my records). I also was not pleased the snow wasn't removed from above the cabin and all the way off the windshield. By not removing the snow, my view was obstructed, so making turns was very difficult. Also when stopping at lights or stop signs, the snow kept falling down on the windshield which isn't the safest, once again obscuring my view. For the love...please make it mandatory that snow needs to be removed before distributing them to your customers for the safety of everyone!
