This location is not the problem, I wouldn't recommend Uhaul as is, we moved across the state, we chose Uhaul because it ofers 3 days , but it ends up being a disadvantage instead, because your stuck with a truck full I'd your stuff not able to park it anywhere including Uhaul itsself, that is a bad business practice, you are considered professionals here, we are the amateurs soliciting your services because we trust you as a business, and that totally breaks the trust, we felt deceived by Uhaul and I want to emphasize, the problem is not the location in Durango, our problem is with Uhaul the business.

When I made my reservation I declined insurance coverage. The guy that checked my in added $24 for insurance which I then had to remove. It lengthened my check in for sure. He got a little testy when I told him I didn’t need it. I had already talked to my insurance agent and he tried to dispute what I was told.

I called in for a same day reservation. They had a truck ready in 30 minutes. The guy that helped us at the counter was friendly and professional. He helped us pick out some boxes and gloves that we needed. When we got to the pick up location, someone was waiting for us and drove our truck up. There was a walk around inspection of the vehicle and we were on our way. The drop off process was also quick and easy. Clean truck, reasonable prices and stellar service. Definitely recommend.

I selected the mobile option thinking it would be easier and faster, just what I needed. U-haul mobile is beyond that. It took an extra half hour to get signed up after selecting pick up my truck. None of this was on the directions from the week before when I booked the reservation. Would have been much faster to talk to an employee. Do not use the mobile app. Complete waste of my time.

The rep tried to charge me for 2 days when I was only keeping the van for 24 hrs overnight- they corrected it, but I had to catch the error. I rent from Uhaul a lot, so just annoying to have to double-check work. Overall though I have always had a good experience with this location.

Customer service was not good. When I walked out to the lot, the attendant took my papers handed me a key and pointed to a van across the lot. The dashboard cover was still on the van and it was pinned in between two other vans. I squeezed through to pull the van out and the gas level was not accurate, no one advised me that there was a process to go through on my phone. I got out of the van and told them the gas level was off and they just said, "check your text messages" and walked away. Very strange experience.

People were super nice and took the time to explain the truck and how to mark damages. Truck was clean when I picked it up. I wish I knew you needed to buy a lock separate from the truck as I thought that was included.

Finding the key drop box after hours was difficult as the "front" door is around the corner/not visible from the truck lot and there is a side door closer to the lot. A sign pointing towards the box on the side door or an additional drop box would have made this easier. Otherwise a positive experience. The folks out on the lot in the morning were friendly and helpful.

The csr sold me the wrong equipment to hitch the trailer, told me to go to another location. The other location wasn’t able to process my payment on the same card I used at the first location so needed to go to an atm. The process took three hours, and every person didn’t seem to able to resolve issues or committed to helping me. The last person who attached the hitch was competent as the trailer did not fall off my car. I doubt I will be using U-Haul again.

They key for my van wasn’t in its slot, the workers weren’t helpful, and the dolly I requested was not in the vehicle. I’ll never use this service again EVER

We were charged for furniture pads that weren’t in the truck. I didn’t want to wait in line another 30 min so I called and was on hold for 20 min to tell them we didn’t receive them, I didn’t want to wait for them and I didn’t want to be charged for them.. and of course I was.

This location is incredibly organized and quick. Everyone was very available, friendly, and it was in a really easy location to drive a truck around.

When I showed up to this location, 6 employees were sitting under a shaded tent doing nothing and not interested in helping. They directed me to park in a handicap spot, then pointed me to a door that turned out to be locked. After several moments of watching me attempt to enter a locked door, I was finally directed to the right door. Upon walking in, three more employees were chatting at the front desk and waited several minutes to acknowledge me. Ultimately, I was given a van and told that it had a full tank of gas. When I got in the van, there was a cardboard cover on the windshield that no one bothered to take off when getting the van ready. Also, the fuel tank indicated the tank was less than 7/8ths full. I took a picture of the fuel gauge. When I returned the van, I filled the tank up to where it was when I picked the van up (and probably slightly higher). I took a picture of what I filled the tank back up to. I indicated to the person checking me out that the tank wasn't full when I picked it up and showed him the picture. He said not to worry about. I later received my bill with an added fuel charge. I immediately emailed the location, as the receipt told me to do if I had issues with the bill, and attached the pictures I took. I have not received any response. While the added charge was relatively small, this is clearly fraudulent business practice. I wonder how many other people are victims of this nickel and diming. This is my first bad experience with U-Haul. I will never go back to this location, and I will consider using a different company in the future.

Ordered a 20' van at a Commerce City location, but on Friday they called to change up my pickup location due to not having a 20' van at the original pickup location. Upon arriving at the new pickup location, they had me pay for the van and without telling me prior to payment, they changed my order to a 15' van and said that I was not going to be getting a 20' van as I reserved. You guys are a terrible company with bad customer service, I will not be recommending anybody from here on out to use you guys for their moving services.

After standing in the rain waiting for someone to direct us to our truck, we were given a truck that was smoking from the engine the minute it was started. The radiator was blown and my day was spent in traffic with a dead truck and waiting for roadside help. It was not maintained and should never have been rented. It was unacceptable.
