A bit bothered that we had to go across town to pick up the unit when we reserved it at a location convenient to us. I also found it objectionable that the cost of a 10 foot trailer was the same as a 26 foot trailer that we had rented earlier. Not sure if I will use U-Haul if necessary in the future or not

Christopher D.This was not the truck or location of our original reservation. Because someone didn't return a truck on time, it created a domino effect, which was VERY stressful. We had originally reserved a one-way truck and then ended up with a truck which was not one-way because that is all that was available and had to drive 180 extra miles to return the truck along with our car, pay for that extra gas, and waste 6 hours. All of the U-Haul representatives were fantastic, but U-Haul needs to do better with reservations, scheduling, and coordination.

After going inside and outside talking to different associates multiple times I finally got the keys to a truck. I wasn't told which truck was mine they just pointed me to a big row. I had to get in several different trucks to test the key. I finally got the truck to turn over. I had to back up a 20 ft truck out of a parking space next to other large trucks. Drop off sucked too. All around bad experience.

The person checking me out at the counter should have asked if I had everything I needed - including the electrical interface when he was completing my rental paperwork. Wasted an extra hour.

It's our third time at this location and we didn't have an issue so we trusted everything until today when we saw that the rollaway door wasn't locked and it opened up in the middle of the road. Dollie's and other tools were not tight up and I hope o don't get charged for them as they were all over the place.

The girl inside sent me outside because it was an online. They didn't have keys for the van I was assigned and reassigned me twice. They were unsure of the status of their vehicles. The van's gas tank was not full and guy outside didn't do the normal vehicle check with me. Key drop box is a trailer in the parking lot with a slot carved out, not anywhere near the actual office like app showed. These two employees were the laziest non helpful I have ever encountered. I always use this location's services but unsure I will in the future. HAVE THIS LOCATION PROVIDE A PIC OF KEY DROP SO OTHERS CAN LOCATE IT.

When I arrived the counter woman who was completely rude and unwelcoming told me that if I took the 20 ft truck that I would need to get gas because it had less than a mile of gas in it. Not wanting to risk running out of gas and ruining my moving day, she rented me a 15 ft truck which made me have to take 2 trips from storage to my new apt. Overall the woman was the most unfriendly person I've encountered in a long time and I would never let any of my family/friends use this location. I've used uHaul many many times as I move frequently and will be rethinking that after this experience.

I assume he stole that from the store.

I will never rent a truck from this location. I will try one of your other locations for any future moves.

We would never have found the key return box had there not been another customer there with more familiarity we would have never found it. Everything else was simple and easy, but the key return process was the icing on the cake and ruined the night at 10pm when we were exhausted from moving.
Stephanie M.Yard guy got in my face about some issue I was having with the app when I was trying to check in. “Why are you so pissed? You seem pissed!†And then proceeded to warn me to not have a negative attitude with him. I literally was not engaging with him, trying to work through the steps in the app, a bit irritated, and he just got in my face about my ‘attitude'. My attitude is back off and let me get my damn truck, jerk! I felt like I was being harassed, then asked why I was responding negatively, and then sort of criticized for it. Yes I do respond negatively to being harassed. Too fucking weird!!!! Other than that, the location is close to me, the availability is always good, trucks are clean. Everyone else seems normal. Second time I've had the same interaction with this guy. I will avoid him in the future.

Joel M.This is a comment about the Regional Representative in Denver. I made a reservation on Tuesday morning for a Wednesday pickup. At the time there were no equipment available and I checked the box. About an hour later the Reginal Rep called me and informed me there were none available to go out of state in the Denver Area. She offered me one in Gunnison, Co. a 3,5 HOUR drive each way I asked about Thursday. She said no equipment available until April. Wednesday morning, I tried the U-Haul Reservation again and there was a 4x8 available on Lower Colfax. I grabbed it, called Gunnison to cancel that reservation and thanked him. I profusely thanked the people at Colfax. The problem here was the Reginal Representative: Instead of putting me on a waitlist for a returned trailer, she blew me off by giving me a trailer 300 miles away (round trip) and a full day to get it. Her service was POOR.

Joseph M.Reservation made 3 weeks prior to requested date. My plan was to drive 250 miles from home, pick up a trailer, load it up and bring it back home the same day. On the rental day, I was 50 miles from my scheduled destination to pick up the rental when I received a notification that I needed to contact customer service as soon as possible. I did and the agent informed my rental was not available. After she suggested options, I told her that getting a trailer was the only option that would work for me. After about 30 minutes she located a trailer that was larger than what I had reserved and no additional fees would be assessed. I really appreciated that and I headed to the alternate location. When I arrived there, the customer parking area was unclear to me from the direction I came in from and I pulled into the yard. The yard foreman came up to me and told me where to park and then told me to pull up to another area. I started to do so and he flailed his arms, shook his head, and told me that I could not understand plain English. I understand getting frustrated with customers at times, and I know he did not understand the situation that I was in as just 10 minutes prior to that I did not know if I was going to have a rental available, but his customer service skills could use a little polishing in my opinion. I was just off a 45-minute phone call with your customer service rep and thought I was good to go as I pre-paid and was checked in already. Once I realized he wanted me to go into the office, I did so and that gentleman was super helpful and considerate and I appreciated that.

How many things in storage is lake Winnie hotel it's not your home your lungs are not with you so you feel uncomfortable, that should be one of the main points in a storage facility. sean m. | Online Move InOverall the experience at this place was pretty bad, and I don't recommend using this facility or U-Haul storage until they get their promotions, pricing, and offers straightened out. Beside my specific issues detailed below,, there is only ONE elevator for the whole facility and ONE loading dock. So if you show up and those things are in use, your pretty much screwed when it comes to moving and storing large or heavy items. The manager is a nice guy and ended up helping me with the issues, but this location and U-Haul corporate need to work on their communication and offers. I was offered a free month of storage from U-Haul, only to arrive with a full moving truck and be told that the offer wouldn't be honored at this location, despite nothing online, in email, or on phone ever telling me that would be the case. I was also charged for the lock that was supposed to be free as a promo offer. The manager informed me that they didn't offer any of these promotions and I would have to pay. Online also guaranteed an indoor, climate controlled, secure unit. What I got was a chain link fence exposed to all the other units around it, not very secure at all. The manager told me they couldn't resolve any of my issues immediately, and needed to get more info. It took a full month before I was contacted and the issues were resolved. The manager was helpful in the end, I just wish he could've resolved the problems more immediately. On the same day I arrived other people were arriving with the exact same misinformation about a free month of having a unit. Its super annoying to have to pay for something you were told was free and for it to take so long to be resolved.

As a result, our stuff that should have fit from a 15 ft truck did not. I called three times and left a message for Diego to call me back to discuss and never heard back.

We removed the lock, got all of our things out, and left. I continued to get bills for 3 months. When I called, I was told there was still a lock on our unit. Then the lady said I was yelling at her (I was not, I was asking for a copy of the phone conversation as uhaul repeats to you 800 times while you are on hold for 40 minutes) and she hung up on me. The customer service at this location is TERRIBLE. Do not go through the hassle of renting a suit here.

I was quoted an original price of 860 some. went back two months later to check on my quoted price and ultimately the manager in Flagstaff Arizona said no we will not honor that. I guess my price was never locked in? One of the employees even said that it looks like we seem to have an error your price is still fluctuating with the daily quotes. My verification code didn't work or they just didn't care they wanted a receipt from my email. which they failed to send me even though they had this quote listed in the notes. I was told this was a mistake but not until the day of. Multiple employees said this problem would be fixed but ultimately the manager declined after months of constant callbacks and negotiating the last day the manager ultimately said no to me. I insisted that she goes back and look over the recorded phone call as I wasn't making any of this up. But Apparently that takes too much time. I had all dates written down for when I called in and even what went into their notes. It got to the point I could tell the U-Haul employees a lot more about what was going on. I knew what was in their notes more than they knew. They would have to go digging or looking through the system they said?!?! or the computer was slow or was put in a different system?!?! What? What kinda of system are you guys using. And they even accuse me of lying on the occasion. When you call the one 800 number and if the local office doesn't pick up, it outsources I was talking to people in another state sometimes. Extremely annoying and arduous system I'll write down peoples names, they couldn't give me an identification number or obviously the last name so I would say "hey I talked to Karen from corporate" "Oh OK will wait for those notes to show up in our system" next day talk to a new employee, explain what happened. "we don't have a Karen here" I understand you don't have a Karen but Karen form Corporate after calling the one 800 number to complain about you Guys said you'd fix it and she left notes." And it just never ended. Had to talk to 10 different people. My price was never locked in, the month of March the price was 900, the price in April was 1100 and after talking with them for months they wanted to charge me the quote of the day which was 1200+ they wouldn't even next off a couple hundred bucks. For everything we'd been through and they all knew me by this point. It was so sad. The day of I called budget and they got me the same truck for about 890 was soooooo happy. To top all that off I forgot that because I didn't get the truck my storage unit price went up. They quoted me 90 something. The day I showed up in a new state with no where to put my stuff they wanted to charge me 114 bucks a month. I I finally just got out of the U-Haul storage went with a local Fort Collins storage facility, 80 bucks a month same size and all. budget trucks are almost 2 or $300 cheaper than U-hauls on any given day. I still need to move a lot of stuff from Arizona to Colorado. Let's just say budget and local businesses is getting all of my money not U-haul. If you use U-haul and you like them that's fine. But if you've never done business with a moving company I recommend trying to stay local and small. U-Haul just wasn't for me everywhere else was just amazing.

Upon check in the employee did not tell me that the elevator does not go to the 4th floor!! that's insane! how could someone not tell me that I'd have to move up stairs. The move in logistically took longer and was harder and I was upset about. I would not have agreed to store my stuff there if I had known that the elevator did not go to my floor. However the office closed for the day by the time I discovered this incredibly inconvenient aspect. Then over six months I pay more than my previous storage company and pay my unit a visit. During this second visit I discover that my floor is not climate controlled and temps outside are in the 90's !! why did no-one tell me about this?! I would not stored my stuff there had I know. the location is advertised as climate control yet no-one told me my floor was not. After hours sweating and getting what I needed I ask to talk to a manager. The manager listened to my complaints but did nothing other than to suggest I move to the u-haul down the street. I ask if she could allow me to use a trailer to do so and she says it will be $25 , really you can't even comp $25 for me ! Knowing I have to move by myself in the heat and when I was not planning for this move! wow. really no shits given. no offer for a free month and trailer. no offer for help. no apology. I rented a trailer and moved my stuff to a different company and will never store stuff with U-Haul again. You lost a good costumer. Upon returning my trailer I talked with other customers returning equipment and they had complaints about U-Haul as a company as well as this locations staff. Did I mention the damage to my belongings because of the heat ?! no here, I will be placing a damage claim.

Instead I got nickeled and dimed for the storage insurance and having to buy a lock. Seriously, you make everyone use your locks? And you can't return it? That is ridiculous. Instead of it being free I have to pay $17 but what choice to I have because the plans have been make and I am at the facility. The staff (I believe her nametag said the owner) was very rude and condescending about everything. I really do want my money back.

Son doesn't start school until fall, so we do not have a local address. That is why we are storing his stuff. Storage was supposed to be 10' X 5'. It was much smaller. The door was around 32". No way to get a couch in. They had no other space available so we canceled. Very frustrating experience.

Then you charge me for a lock? Your policy requires a "specific lock"? Thats dumb. That really is. I was told on the phone what my cost would be (with the free month) and then to after be told about needing to pay for insurance and a lock. That is just ridiculous. I am very unhappy with U Hauls poor customer service and their "hidden fees."

John A. | Premières impressionsWith a single loading bay and single service elevator for the upper floors, expect needing patience for loading/unloading larger amounts of possessions in and out. There is space for about 1-4 customers to load/unload from if you count the side door and they have 4 carts appropriately. Realistically, there's space for 1 customer during business hours via the loading bay as the side door is EXCEEDINGLY inconvenient for more than a few possessions. DO try to have 2+ persons when on the premises, as it'll be a lot safer and quicker to operate with the system that's in place. I wish I could recommend it, but the lacking of designated loading zone options makes it difficult to do so for the price unless it's convenient for you... Upon returning, after employee hours, but in access hours, I found the lock to my new storage room had not been removed. This prevented me from unloading the van.

I was told this was a loose time table and no one even called me before cancelling it to see if i was just running late. I didn't know it was cancelled until i got there-luckily they were able to still give me another truck-but i thought that was a big turn off from the start. I also wasn't happy that when i called prior to booking the truck/storage unit regarding the 1 month free rent that i was told absolutely nothing about purchasing insurance or a circle lock-which i would've looked into prior to arriving for my pick up yesterday. Then, after spending 20 mins rebooking everything, we were told our truck was in row P...which had no keys. They then looked for the keys for 15 mins before giving us a different truck. We returned that truck at 6:45pm last night and I watched the workers drive it away after telling us our gas mileage and approving that the tank was refilled. I then received a call yesterday saying they couldn't find the keys. Seems like a lot of lack of communication and it ultimately ate up 45 mins of time we could've been moving.

It said it was a max security facility but it was really easy for anyone to walk into the garage. Also the facility itself was really janky compared to other similarly priced storage facilities I have used - the floors were awful and uneven so super hard to push the carts, and I was surprised that we had a chain storage unit instead of a walled in one, it makes me more nervous that someone will try to break in because they can see what is in the unit. Also the way the unit door locked there is still a large gap between the door and door frame even when locked as tightly as possible with a chain. Can't complain too much though because got a free month
Joshua A. | Premières impressionsI rented a 8' x 10' x 8' unit. When I checked in, the height of these units are only 6' high. When I asked about the height, they said it is on average 8' high. It's not even close to 8' high. This is completely misleading and actually false advertising. When I asked, they said they could move me to a different unit, but it would be more expensive. No other options or offers. Manager on staff was very rude and not helpful at all.
