Day one, website said pickup truck not available until 3:30. Drive by around noon, two pickup trucks appear available. Day two, website says same thing, call uhaul, they say website is correct. Day three, website says same thing, make reservation for 3:30 but walk into store at 2:00. They can't figure out why their system won't let me pick it up until 3:30, they confirm there are no preceding reservations and let me pick up at 2:00 anyhow. If I can trust your website to be accurate about availability I can't plan around it. Might as well buy my own truck. Please get your website in sync with your locations.

Uhaul NEEDS to permit any trailer to go out of state. I needed a 6x12 to pull to Ohio from Colorado. The nearest 6x12 trailer was 175 miles away. There was a trailer on lot but was for local use ONLY which is BS. I had to settle for a 5x8 to move items from Colorado to Ohio. It worked but I had to leave things behind.

Have more people working to check out customers. This is becoming such a recurrent issue, regardless of the location I go to. It’s making me really despise not wanting to rent uhauls anymore and I will definitely think long and hard in the future if I ever am considering renting one again. I shouldn’t have to wait 20-30-40 minutes to check out.

This location, nothing. Great job and thank you. Now to whom ever closes 15 minutes after an appointment, should not be able to make the appointment that late. Yes I was late, but the location on Barnes did not have any trailers onsite anyways. Next, the location on Academy near Platte. Usually great service. Not Friday, I drove by to just see, and all your trailers were still there. So much for we cant rent anything until Monday. Well since you did not want to help me, I will make sure all my business and referrals go to the Nevada location.

When we went to pick up the truck both employees were busy with other customers which I understand but we had to wait about 20 minutes to pick the truck up which while trying to move was longer than we anticipated but it wasn’t really an issue. And then when we went to return the truck the entrance was congested with other people returning and we could barely pull in but it was overall an easy process and the truck was very clean and exactly what we needed.

Waited over an hour to get a trailer. One person working the counter. Another 15 min wait to get the trailer hooked up. Was running behind tried calling 3 separate time with over 30 min waits. Owner need to get off the butts and hire some people or show and work them selves to improve customer service. This was the second and last time I will ever rent from the uhaul dealer. They charged me for a whole day, instead of the time I was late. When I turned in the trailer I had to wait another 25 min before anyone help me.

I was told the trailer would be at the 1193 North Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO location. I was very unhappy to get there to discover I had to drive to the other side of town. If I had advanced warning I could have alloted more time. The Nevada location person was great, but she was the only one there with a line of five frustrated people, such as myself.

The counter employees are awesome, but every time I pick up or drop off, the corporate paperwork procedures bog them down so the wait time while standing in line is a minimum of 20 minutes. I would say either figure out a way to streamline the corporate paperwork or double the counter stations so more people can be processed to substantially cut down the standing in line wait time.

I call the day prior to confirm my rental details. Somehow my reservation got cancelled during that call. I tried checking online but found my order was cancelled. I spent 30 minutes on hold with Uhaul to try and get my reservation uncancelled. The Uhaul employee I spoke with was very helpful. Once this was figured out things went smoothly. It is very stressful to find your reservation cancelled an hour before pick up.

I followed the recommended fuel re-fill gallons chart printed on the rental contract and the result was an overfill. Same thing happened on my truck rental earlier in the week. Now I know U-Haul is faking it and I will subtract four gallons from the chart recommendation in the future.

I planned on getting to the branch a half hour before the store opened as I typically have experienced very long wait times for service in the past. I had one customer ahead of me and was in and out in less than 30 minutes of opening. Very reasonable I thought! There were however, about 6 customers behind me! As a point of constructive criticism, I would suggest having more personnel available to meet the needs of customers. In reviewing customer satisfaction surveys of this branch, long wait times is a common complaint. I have to add in closing, the three gentlemen that assisted me were extremely professional and pleasant.

The customer service was excellent - one you got to the Uhaul staff - the wait was 45 minutes to get a reserved vehicle. I have rented from Uhaul many, many times and never had to wait that long. Please ensure this site is able to hire additional staff to accommodate the customer.

Customer service was awful. They were very understaffed-rude-condescending. I could not locate the keys to the uhaul. I tried calling 9 times the night before to ask what to do in a situation like this. No response. Showed up the next morning and they said oh “we forward our phones because we are too busy.” The one lady told us to contact roadside assistance. Was on the phone for over an hour waiting to hear from someone. Tried to place two requests online-neither would go through. Uhaul told me they were going to charge me 50$ an hour since 8PM-when I asked if they could recommend some other way to remedy the problem they had nothing except legal jargon to repeat. I understand it was a busy weekend, but I am most likely not the first and definitely won’t be the last person to misplace their uhaul key. I think it would be in the companies best interest to keep a spare, to answer their phones-to provide customer service and not be so rude. It was a terrible experience and I will never again use uhaul

The employees are super knowledgeable, kind and professional. I would certainly recommend this location, especially for hitch installation (which seemed pretty quick at 1.5hrs). Just a heads-up that the waiting area is fairly modest with no nearby functional outlets.

2 employees were working the counter each with customers. It took nearly 30 minutes for them To complete their transactions. My hitch wiring was installed faster than my wait which was great. I tip my hat to Grady who did a great job! I feel sorry for the people at the end of the line 10 deep. Probably shorter waits at Disney and DMV than this location

My review would have been “poor” but I threw in an extra star just because the gentlemen who helped us was kind when we finally got to the counter. We waited in line for over an hour (10:30 reservation, and we didn’t get to check out until 12) and we were only the 4th people in line, one customer even left so that made us third. I lost time on my reservation and ended up having to return after hours, which I hate because I never know if it’s going to workout, I’d rather return and pickup in person.

There appeared to be 3 people working but one at the desk. I was fourth in line and waited 45 minutes to pick up a reservation. When I returned it I waved at the guy to let him know I was ready and he said he would get to me and all the people after me once he finished with the current customer. There was an attitude to how he carried himself. He then asked if I wanted a printed receipt and I said the email was fine and he said good like it was going to be a problem dare I say yes. Really not an enjoyable experience from top to bottom besides when I was alone in the truck.

Upon bringing my rental back, there was a few people in line. One person was behind the counter. The counter person left with the customer and disappeared for over 30 minutes, leaving 5 people in !ine. A second employee came in and helped 1 customer, then she left for approx. 10 minutes. I was there to drop off a rental trailer (quick in/quick out), but ended up waiting for approx. 1 hr 20 minutes. The location was very understaffed making the process extremely frustrating which caused me to be late meeting a client. I have used Uhaul on numerous previous rentals from this location but have never experienced such a delay, without explanation. Counter personnel needs better Customer Service training!

Front Desk Rep was HORRIBLE...RUDE...DISRESPECTFUL...and any Other word that should Not be associated with Customer Service. Long Story Short (and it Was Long) we STOOD in line behind ONE Person for 20 minutes....the rep NEVER Acknowledged Us, Never Made Eye Contact...no "Welcome To Uhaul" no "I'll be with you in a Sec" no "Sorry for the Wait...just one Moment or Anything! She then Left us in the store BY OURSELVES to go look at a Truck, and Still No "I'll be right back", "Thank you for your Patience, I'm almost Done" or even ANY word on Why she was Leaving the Store. It was as If we Didn't Exist there! .....When she Finally Came Back.........?????.......SHE PASSED US ON TO ANOTHER EMPLOYEE VIA WALKIE-TALKIE!!! Now......IMAGINE the FULL Story!!! SHE was HORRIBLE and I'll NEVER use That Location Again!

The staff was great. However they are very short staffed. I showed up for my 11:30 pickup at 11:00am and I was not helped until noon due to the line of customers and lack of staff. As a result I was not able to do a walk through on our new home and the movers where not able to get started on time so I had to pay them for extra hour for loading. Then I was late to closing on our new house and late to work. If they had more staff all of this could have been easily avoided.

I have an issue with the experience U-Haul provided me as a whole. Allow me to take you on a magical journey of ineptitude on the part of U-Haul and frustration on the part of myself: I was originally supposed to pick up a 12' x 6' cargo trailer on the 8th of May from 2175 Victor Pl, Colorado Springs, CO 80915. Upon arrival, it was determined by the assistant manager (very helpful and delightful gentleman) that an earlier employee moved my pickup date to the 12th of May. No idea why she would have done such a thing but they didn't have a trailer available so they transferred me locations. Slightly annoying but nothing a positive attitude can't overcome. Alas, this was just the tip of the iceberg. They transferred me to 1193 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 where the shit show really found its stride. Woman A was training Woman B on how to look up my reservation. It was obvious they knew each other prior to becoming coworkers because they were trading poorly constructed inside jokes all while Woman B's son was lurking behind the counter. A little unprofessional but still, nothing a glass-half full mindset can't overcome. After taking longer than necessary to pull up my reservation due to their game of comedic tag, they brought me outside to the trailer I reserved. They had two cargo trailers on their lot but unfortunately for me, the equipment number they issued me matched neither of the two trailers. So the amateur humorists had to go back inside to troubleshoot the problem. After 30 min of time, they finally got their shit together and sent me on my way with the correct equipment. I later found that the trailer wouldn't be enough to transport all of my belongings so I scheduled a rental for a 15' truck and autotrailer, and returned the cargo trailer to 3105 N Nevada Ave Colorado Springs, CO 80907. They were prompt with my return and refunded me in my entirety for the trailer I didn't use! Very nice. I picked up the truck on the 9th of May to load my belongings, and returned on the 10th to pick up the autotrailer. After they hooked up the trailer to my truck and I was inspecting for damages, the owner of the store noticed the trailer he hooked me up to had no license plate. So he undid everything he had just done to hook me up to a different trailer with a license plate. After 15 min to do all of that, he noticed the chains on the new trailer were rusted and needed to be replaced. So he set out on a mission to replace those which took roughly 30 min. Upon completion, he apologized for the holdup and sent me on my way. Outside of the comedic duo at the second location, I had no qualms with any of the personnel at any of the locations. They were very helpful and apologetic for the delays. But why did they all have to apologize? It's the amount of time wasted due to inefficient operation management and just a general lack of "having-your-shit-together". All those 15 and 30 min delays add up and I think it's important to note that ev

Worst experience I have ever had renting a moving truck. When I called to make the reservation the “customer service “ person was talking so fast that it gave me horrible anxiety. They were not trained AT ALL on what was required to rent a truck. It took one hour once I got to the uhaul store to get the truck. It took less time to go get what I needed the truck for, get it back to my house and set it up then it did to get the truck. When I got to the store, I was informed that I needed all this additional information to rent a truck that I was not prepared for Because the “customer service “ did not inform me. Over all this was by far the worst experience. I stopped using uhaul years ago and started using budget. Now I remember why. Go anywhere else and you’ll be better off.

I got to my pick up location. I was told I was sent an e-mail and a text message to express check in. I showed the worker all the information sent to me was just confirmations and no check ins. He said he didn't know what happened. Then he had me trying to check in on my phone, wouldn't work because my truck wasn't there. Wasted an hour and a half. Got sent to the Nevada location. Stood in line for an hour with one person working on a Sunday. Now I'm almost 3 hours into just trying to get my truck and go. U-haul employees also very unhappy with new company policies. I've used U-haul a few times in the past years and was always great. Not anymore. I'm a very loyal person but will be very hard for me to use the company again after my family and myself had to suffer the changes made within the company. I run an automotive business right across the street from the Nevada U-haul location and if my customer's experienced what I did, they would never return to my company. Somebody needs to fix the problems. I spoke with five other people renting trucks at the time I was and each and every one of them were very unhappy. Not what someone needs when they already have so much going on while moving. Horrible changes for the customers since I last used U-haul and I'm sure it will drive customers to the competition.

Although all of the staff are very courteous and helpful, this location seems to be under staffed. They all seem to have to do everything. If there is even one person ahead of you , you've got to wait for the person at the counter to do the rental, check them into a vehicle before they can help the next person and just hope the phone doesn't ring or some one doesn't bring a truck back. I think they are all doing the best they can, there seems to be no real efficiency. They need more help, with a system.

This location is near my business, so I use it even though I would go somewhere else if it were close. There’s always long waits to check out a vehicle. Just one person at the desk. Visibly irritated customers in line. This store asks you to fill up the tank to 5/8th full; obviously a ripoff in the making. Why not give the vehicle to you full and ask that it be returned full?

Make sure the truck is ready to go at my assigned time. I did truck share and still ended up losing an hour of my rental time and then was rushed backZ after I had to rush to get my stuff done. Then the dolly was never issued subtract another hour of time off. Seriously get it together. To the employee who said “I told them when I got here, that I would break everything” crack those jokes on your own time not when you’ve messed up and wasted my time.

They ripped me off. Only went 10 miles. They charged me for 105!!! They did refund a portion after I complained to the help line at UHaul. I filled up to just below 1/4 tank (As received) They charged me for gas and $30 fee to fill up. Such a scam. NO CREDIT RECEIVED FOR THIS FRAUD!!! Stayed on hold for 18 minutes and again for 23 minutes. Manager never answered! You can't treat customers like this and expect to stay in business!

I called one location to get a 26' ft truck for a large move. None could be found except further away from my destination adding to mileage costs. I ordered furniture pads to my order and at the last minute was told I would have to call other locations to see who might have them available for my move as the location I was picking up the truck did not have any available. When I finally found a location I had to make an extra stop to pick them up and was told the furniture pads needed to be dropped back at the place I rented them from. It wasn't until I started complaining that another employee said it was ok to take them back with the truck. Moving is already stressful and exhausting and running all over a new town picking up supplies did not help. The truck we rented had been 'retired' from long distance trips due to the 156,000 miles on it. It drove rough with quite a bit of shaking. The outside was dirty. The inside was clean. The sales person was helpful in explaining the gas usage and how that would be calculated if we came back a lower amount of gas in the truck

Reserved trailer at Florissant; was called two days prior and told I'd have to go to Colorado springs, considerably out of my way - even tho Florissant did have the large trailer previously. POOR Company procedure. I was warned when I made the reservation that U-haul could send me up to 50 miles away from the reserved site. Very POOR u-haul policies!!!!!!

What's upsetting is nothing states you need to supply this. Online, at the store, nowhere. So... if I couldn't get someone to answer then I couldn't rent. No if, and , or buts. Said the District Manager implement this and no exceptions. Thankfully I got someone to answer their phone to verify they know me. Who cares that they had my drivers licence and credit card! Very poor service/attitude towards the customer, especially since I did online check-in. Why do all the online check-in stuff (take picture of license) when they do it again when you get there.. same with the credit card. Took over a half hour to get trailer. Wow. There was one customer ahead of me when I arrived. Only thing worse was turning the trailer back in. Arrived and I was the only one there returning. Stood there 15 minutes then a guy comes out and says will get to me as soon as they can. Wasn't in a very nice tone either. Very matter of fact. He seemed stress.. Waited 35 minutes and then he comes back and says I can just check out online. Wow... sure wish he told me that 15-20 minutes earlier. Someone finally came out when I had almost completed the check-in online... Nice. Drop off time took almost 45 minutes. This type of service or lack therof makes we want to utilize a different location in the future. I've had good rental experience previously but either they are understaffed or don't really care about their customers.

I am going to put my review into two separate categories as I think it unfair to rate the location poorly based on the company performance. The Uhaul Company A Uhaul representative called me two days prior my pickup to change my pickup location. This was not ideal because it was farther away so I would have to pay more per mile and gas. However, there was nothing I could do. The night before my 8:00am pickup I received a text message changing my pickup time to 9:00am. This text message was sent at 9:20pm! I didn't see this message until 9:40pm. Additionally, my reservation was for 12 hours, they changed it to 11 hours. I immediately called the Uhaul office because a change the night before is ridiculous. The following phone call was about the worst customer service I have EVER received. She did nothing to help me, passed blame saying she didn't do it the scheduling department did, then put me on "hold" only to put me to the introduction call line that you are at when you first call ie, "Thank you for calling Uhaul. Please listen to the following options." I thought she was going to get a manager, but she dropped me! North Nevada Location When the North Nevada location heard about this, they didn't charge us for the extra miles and gave us more time with the truck because we were worried about 11 hours not being enough.

The problem with this U-Haul location is that it is severely understaffed. I was there last Friday and Saturday. Both days, there was a long line and ONE person only at the front desk. There were only 2 employees there, One was trying to handle all the check ins and check outs by themselves (including handling all the paperwork at the front desk and then having to go out and get them set up in the truck) and the other employee was tied up installing a hitch on the back of some vehicle. Both days I waited over 30 minutes just to get to the front counter. Some of the people in the long line got tired of waiting and left. Others were simply frustrated. I asked the only 2 employees there what the problem was and they said we simply don't have enough people to serve everyone in a timely manner. They said they needed at least one more person, and two more would be ideal, and that management won't hire more people unless the volume of business increases. And if somebody quits then there is additional strain on those who are there. As a businessman myself, I would want to always have one more employee than i absolutely needed, so if one did quit or left for some reason, the operation could still move forward, though still a strain on them and on the customers. I don;t know if I will ever use that location again, and if I do I will want to see at least 3 or 4 people there to provide customer service. I like the location, the products and the employees I met, but I hope in the future I (and others) will not have to wait in long lines to get the help we need at the counters.

The tow dolly I rented needed lubrication on several locations, particularly the ratchets that secure the tires to the dolly. They were very rusted and extremely difficult to use. I'd recommended grease or at the very least wd40. Other than that, the young lady who helped me was very polite and helpful. Getting me in and out very fast.

The computer check-in process is not user friendly. Filling out basic information on the U-Haul computer did not save time as published. Asking for the name of an emergency contact and then actually contacting that person prior to signing a contract is extreme. Then asking for an additional contact is even more so. The software shut down during this whole process. There has to be a better way to secure the validity of the U-Haul renters. Penske Rentals does a much better job!

The mechanic assigned to my hitch installation was taken away to help a customer who was picking up a trailer. This added approximately 20 minutes to my installation time. I had an appointment and pre-paid, the walk-in should have had to wait, not me. The staff was very friendly and capable, they just need more of them.

The trailer door would not shut properly. I took it back and technician showed me how to slam it shut. She also told me that she would credit me a day rental because of the problems I had and then I get a bill for two days instead of one. Then they require that I get an emergency contact on the phone to ask if they are willing to be an emergency contact. Nothing was stated on the web rental agreement about this and I had to wake up my assistant on a Saturday morning to do the verification. I have never had to do this anywhere else. Overall it was not a good experience.
