This is the 4th time I have used Uhaul. This time the truck was not cleaned when I got it. The employee was made aware but I was on a time frame to deliver balloons. I did notice it there was a lot of broken glass, this would have been a disaster for the balloons. I swept it up as soon as I got home.

I pulled in and stopped as the sign said to do. There was a guy on the lot helping hitch a trailer. He said he needed his phone to check me out, wait here. I waited 15 minutes in Houston heat and decided to go inside. There was a line of 8 people in front of me. There was only 2 people working but none of the computers or card readers seemed to be working. After 20 more minutes, the man I spoke to in the driveway saw me and asked if I had an email reservation. Said I did and he told me I could go. I feel he could have told me that in the driveway. Then today I look at my receipt and was charged a $25 cleaning fee. Not sure if that was for the bugs or the sticky substance but if it had been properly cleaned before I picked it up or if I had 2 minutes of time with an employee when I dropped it off, I could have told them about both. Truck ran great.

My hitch was not available at the appointment time. No one notified me when it was ready five days later. Installation took 4 hours not "one or two hours." That said, everyone was polite and helpful and the job was done right. I would recommend this business and use it again myself.

No dollies available. The staff said it’s common for the dollies to congregate at one location. Called another store in Houston and still no dollies. It would be smart to figure out the logistics on this so people don’t rent dollies and then have to go to Home Depot. I’ll just get the truck and dolly from Home Depot next time. One stop shop. Further, my contract was not closed. So I got an email a week later from uhaul recovery stating I had not returned the equipment. Wasted some hours calling around to figure that out. Was finally told to call the store. I did. And they didn’t answer so it rolled over to the national line. Was again advised to call the store. Overall, no big deal. But certainly not an efficient business model. Will probably not use uhaul for moving again.

The cargo van had blue painters tape around the windshield. Ther tape came of and the trim piece was lapping around in ront of my view. I added more blue painters tape while on the side of the freeway.

The trailer rented us did not work....the open 6' x 12' trailer did not have an entry ramp wide enough to get our UTV into it. We returned it at 6:00 PM on a Sunday and the only person working disappeared for about 30 minutes so we left the trailer....I was then charged an extra day. Horrible service.

I received a guarantee that the truck was available the night before schedule. The next morning 10 minutes before pickup time I received a call that it was no longer available. I ended up getting a truck 2 hours late and was not able to complete my move in the time schuduled. The staff locally was great dealing with the issue but the impact was still bad.

During my trip the right light on the car dolly stopped working. I had to call roadside assistance and they found wires to the light disconnected and loose due to U-haul making a repair earlier on this light and they did not crimp the wires properly and they came off during my travel. The wires were exposed and could have caused short to my towing electronics or possibly other damages. This was a negligent repair that Uhal performed which could have caused electrical issues and damages. The road side assistant person was very nice and was able to repair it properly. I had to wait almost 3 hours from the time I called it in and when the repair was done. I submitted a bad review to U-Haul the day of rental once I found the electrical issue and so far no one has responded to my review. I had another trouble with U-Haul in the past and the customer service person was rude and not helpful at all, therefore I am writing another bad review.

I was charged $20 for cleaning but the van was cleaned out thoroughly. I went in this morning to speak with Anna. I was given an estimate and deposited just enough for the estimate plus a few dollars more, just in case. No one mentioned a cleaning fee! The power was off at the location when I went in this morning to dispute the charge. Your company erroneously charged me and caused my bank account to be in overdraft! I just got off work and the money still has not been returned as promised and my account is still overdraft. If my money is not returned asap, I will be reaching out to my local news stations and governmental agencies to report your stealing from me.

Please note that I had 3 locations. When I arrived at the scheduled pick up location, I was told the trailer was not available there and that I had to go to another location for pickup. I was informed that a call was placed to me earlier in the AM to inform of the change. I have no record of that call on my call log. I did get the trailer from the second location and everything was fine with it and the location.

Didn't want to help us to tie the car.. I ask them if I was going to get help before renting the dolly and they said yes.. after I paid. That's when they told me they couldn't.. or I have to pay 25..00 more.. finally a very helpful man help us.. if it wasn't for him I don't know what we would of done..

The uhaul employee (dont remember her name) did a very good job handling a side situation. Another customer had visited other uhaul locations on a drive from Wisconsin and one of them had messed up the chains to the point the trailer could not be detached from her vehicle. The customer came and got me and my buddy and explained her situation. We helped remove the chain with the uhaul employee using 2 wrenches and strength. I didnt mind helping but it would have saved me an hour on the day I was moving apartments if you had bolt cutters available for a situation like that.

What good does it do to check in online? I get to the store and half to go thru all the questions again. Makes no sense! I rent from you at least 5 times a year. Uhaul acts like they have never heard of me every time. Some things have to stay in the file do you don’t have a long check-in. You also need 3 phone numbers to rent? All the question make for long lines, people waiting to get equipment, god forbid you just need to drop off the items you rented wait in the 10 person deep line. Fix your process or I will just buy a trailer. I’m done dealing with the long checkin times.

Make sure that your workers when there is a another reservation scheduled after the one that you have scheduled. We were told that we could have the trailer that we rented for 24 hours. When we went to pick the trailer up we were told that we had only rented it for 14 hours. Because there was another reservation for the same exact trailer.

I was charged for two vehicles today. I used one 10’ truck for 1.5 hrs and drove 29 miles which totaled 75 dollars, not a problem. I have my hard copy receipt for this vehicle. I then received another bill for a truck that I did not rent and was charged 130 dollars. I am still fighting this charge and have not had any luck with having my call returned. Overall, I’m not happy with being charged almost 200 dollars for something I did not use.

To have the equipment there as indicated in the confirmation. I had requested an appliance dolly with the truck I ordered and there was no dolly there for my pick-up. An appliance dolly was located at another location but when I got to the other location there was nobody inside to help me. Once I went to look for someone outside to help me I was told that it was rented out after they were supposed to be holding the appliance dolly for me to pick up.

The only thing I disliked was that the workers do not show a great level of customer service. My license was tossed back at me and the keys for the truck was also tossed on the counter. If I didn’t need the truck to move yesterday I would’ve went elsewhere.

The truck needs the shocks replaced, it wasn’t a smooth ride at all. $20 truck rental fee was false advertisement. I ended up paying close to $100 just to rent the truck for a few hours plus gas. The customer service was friendly.

This whole experience was a horrible disaster. My boyfriend is in fact calling Corporate first thing in the morning. I had set up a reservation a week in advance, when I get to the location, the truck had apparently been stolen. So then the gentleman directs us to another location per the request of a customer service rep named Audrey. We go to the second location and there is a sign that says closed Saturday and Sundays. So we call Audrey and let her know the gates are closed and it says closed on Saturdays. She then proceeds to angrily tell me that it is in fact open and as I’m trying to tell her it’s closed she continues to angrily talk over me. She then finally says it opens at 10:30 and that I can wait. So I tell her No I cannot wait I made a reservation at 9am for a reason. She then finally agrees to send me to another location. Upon arriving at the THiRD location the manager Hanna Garcia tells us she only has a cargo van available but will have a 15’ truck available at 1:30 that we could come swap out when it arrives and that if it came in early they would give us a call. Well we didn’t receive a call. So we show up at 1:30 to swap out the truck like the manger said, and the young guy working there begins to charge us again and tells us we have to be charged for a whole other reservation. Under the words to the manager we asked to speak to her because she said we would just swap. She then begins to tell us tht we have to be charged for another truck even though we had been sent on a wild goose chase for a truck that doesn’t exist anywhere. We tell her that She never mentioned anything previously about having to pay a second time when she just told us we would do a swap. Things escalated and heated very quickly and she continued to just tell us we aren’t getting a truck if we don’t settle down when all we were trying to tell her that she never told us we needed to pay for another reservation otherwise we would have never gone to get the truck. We told her just to charge us so we can finish up but she was very nasty and ugly with us and acted like a child when dealing with customer service. I will never use uhaul or go to the 34th st heights location with manager Hanna Garcia ever again. I also heard other customers complaining about the service at that particular location.

We would like to have the choice of which Van make and model we rent. Instead of being stuck with a dirty unit with less room and malfunctioning rear door! GM products may ride a little smoother but they are gas guzzlers! I prefer Ford!
