There was garbage in the vehicle. Also I was very annoyed that I was charged for fuel when I had just put gas in it and by the time I got it back to the store, it had moved down. Not even a millimetre of grace!!!!

The automated check in is frustrating, annoying, complicated and a huge time waste. When the clerk has to walk you through all of steps, has a preprinted sheet with the steps, and it is still not right, I would assume the process is flawed and needs to be changed.

Always have two people on staff. It took half an hour to wait for the girl trying to find the keys for the van she ended up having give me another van I lost half an half hour from my rental so I ended up being half an hour late for the next person who was waiting for me. Also get rid of this Smartphone system its a Royal pain.!

Vehicle should have sufficient to at least get to the first gas station the attendant should be a lot more helpful I am not an electronic expert so having to do the whole process on my phone was a 2 hr procedure that with a little help could have been done in probably 15 min I went to south Fraser way to start with she sent me to hazelton even though I explained to her I would probably need help because of my lack of knowledge with the phone procedure I was told there would be somebody at the location I was sent to help that did not happen the whole procedure was very stressful and would I recommend a friend to uhaul definitely not

The female employee was great. The entire process was not. I do not fault the employee as she is just following orders and had to deal with my emotional breakdown. But the lack of customer service was atrocious. Everything is on line even though I am standing there with my ID in hand.

The 'self serve use your phone' is a royal pain in the A _ _! To use it you HAVE TO have a smart phone, you HAVE TO have data or your stuck attempting everything on the Uhaul WiFi and therefore HAVE TO move the vehicle close to the building and it might work if you're lucky. The vehicles are parked at the end of storage unit rows which are often blocked by people with their vehicles accessing their storage. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! NEVER AGAIN!!!

U-Haul did a good job insuring that the lockers were secure and that no one could break into them. I wish the light would work in the room though. It was good that there was a washroom there but the soap dispenser was empty and had fallen off the wall. The garbage can needed emptying often. I never felt good with the lockers being made of wood. Anyone could move all their stuff out then later, walk in from the street and start a real barn burner without anyone knowing who did it. My previous storage areas were made of concrete brick or metal. This was the sole reason for my response of 'no' to question 6 above; otherwise it would be yes. My main reason for moving out was that I graduated to a 5' X 10' area. Thank you.

The uHaul mobile app is crappy. It's difficult to navigate, and the bar code wouldn't scan or be photographed. Had I attempted an after hours pick up or return, I would have been super frustrated. Being that, it was a good experience and I wouldn't hesitate to us uHaul in the future.

Site for parking our jeep was just big enough to park, however there were 3 , 2-wheel rental trailers very close that had to be moved so we would have roon to back into our rental spot - #71. My husband and I moved a couple of trailers at the direction of a staff on a fork lift, who then moved the largest one which was too heavy for 2 peole to move,. IH was very helpful, but it took considerably longer for us to park, remove the battery and store our jeep..Therefire, we gave an average rating.

There is a lengthy application to open an account online, you can't rent from the reception counter. We were accidently given the wrong key which was NOT for the van we were assigned. Therefore the kilometer reading showed over 200 km for a 2 hour rental. The receptionist managed to straighten it out. It was only 28 km. Overall, despite the friendly receptionist, the procedure was stressful and very time consuming.

It would be nice to have a place within the compound to park one's vehicle during the term of the truck rental. I had trouble completing the online check-in. When taking photos of drivers license, the indicator just kept spinning and failed to upload. I had to have the process completed at the counter. The service I received from the staff was very courteous and competent and, other than the app glitch, both pickup and return went very well.

The explanation of the estimate wasn't very good, and left is confused.

The truck was dirty when I got in it for the first time, the photos were inaccurate. And when an unforseen circumstance caused me to not need the truck any longer, I returned it less than an hour later and the Manager wouldn't be accommodating and charged me for a full day.

The van smelled and it was dirty inside. We had to check in online, wich was a major pain in the ass. Reason why we chose location with a person was to not do online check in. Had no visitor parking. When we dropped van off just after office hours. The parking was full, we had to leave van on city street. Dropping the key off was a pain in butt as the online system does not work. Could not do online drop off key nor call. Never again will I rent from uhaul. Top it off the file bill has charges that were never told to me and charges for things I never did. You need at least a call center 24/7.

I would not recommend your Uhaul location, your manager Vipin your regional manager Horace our your company to a person I did not like. Your company needs a dramatic overhaul. Follow up is non existent when overcharging occurs and that seems encouraged by Phoenix, Arizona who alone,I have been told, can authorize an adjustment.

Since this day my other daughter told me she mover her stuff from there because of the same young women and my husband tells me she way very rude to him as well! Obtaining keys was abit difficult and held me up at least 15 minutes since customer service rep was busy with incoming vehicle in their yard. Still managed to keep within time restraint but would have been more helpful to have keys in lockbox so I never had to bother the customer service rep. I understand though

If I need to create an online account in order to pick up a rental then tell me that when i book the rental, not when i show up to pick it up. It was annoying standing at the counter and having to go through an account creation and try and navigate through the Uhaul website to get a rental on my phone.

There was an incident when I had very limited time and there was an additional lock placed onto my unit. When I brought it to staffs awareness, they removed it quickly. That would have made the experience a 5 star.

Although I had a great experience with the rental, I don't feel I was fairly charged for fuel consumption. I drove 114km and added 20L of fuel to the tank but had a ~10$ fuel surcharge added to my invoice. Although I believe this is possible with heavy footed/large tow load driving, based on the fuel economy of the vehicle and my driving experience in similar powered Ford trucks I have never ran up more than 25L of fuel per 100km.

I was given a great deal on the unit. However, it was a bit small for our needs.. even tho it was recommended based on the info we gave him. It seemed fairly dim and the air was poorly circulated. I would appreciate having a booking system and not based on first come first served as it was difficult to make plans in advance before our move in. Easy access to unit and friendly staff.

Our storage unit was infested with rat feces and urine. Half of the things in our unit were ruined. The majority of the things were given to us from my dad and my Aunts estates after they passed away, so they were very sentimental to us. We were even told that there was a rat problem, from the employee. So they knew about it and never contacted any customers about the issue. We also know a few other people who store things there that had thousands of dollars stolen from there. We did not have insurance so we got no compensation for anything. Between us and our son we had 4 storage spaces there. We have only one unit left to clean out and we will never return there. We will be looking for storage elsewhere. We were given recommendations from people on Facebook who have also had issues with your storage facilities.

Our one unit #145 was wet. It was on an outside wall (2 sides) and as a result all boxes up against that wall were wet and moldy. Our second unit #140 did not have this issue and all contents were dry and mold free.

Unfortunately because of the some family health issues it took us a lot longer to be able to clean out our unit than we hoped. I believe it was about a year ago, may have been longer now. There were some break ins and stuff stolen from a few people’s lockers. (One happened to be our friend) Our one friend found paper left in his locker that had other unit numbers written on it and what kind of contents was inside. Our unit number was on this sheet and I’m not sure how they found out but they knew almost everything that was in our unit. Our unit was mostly keepsakes and a bike and a fan on the top but it also had electronics under all that stuff. Thankfully none of our stuff was stolen but the fact that they somehow got into our unit without a key is troublesome. The other part that worried me is that after all this happened and uhaul was informed of this and the police were called (all by our friend) uhaul never bothered to call and give us a heads up that we might want to check on our belongings to make sure everything was there. No call. No email. Even though our unit number was on the page and had an inventory of almost everything in our unit. For this reason I won’t be using uhaul storage unless it’s an emergency and I can’t get in anywhere else which is unfortunate because I had been with them for almost 5 years.

When I moved in they lost key and an item ended up in my storage next day a snow board to be exact and no one else had a key except me and storage place. Someone gave key for access cause theres no way anyone got my key to place a snow board in with my stuff kinda weird and stuff was gone through like suitcaes opens and not closed. Otherwise I like the place and price but i wish I had 247 access write off the hop cause its very inconvienent otherwise

The motor on my boat was stolen while in storage. I was called days after the theft. I was told the police were informed of the theft, they were not until I called them. The police were called but by another customer who had experienced a theft of his tools at the same time. The camera footage of the theft was unusable by the police, I was told by police the thief used a swipe card of another customer but everyone denied it. Lucky I had insurance because the folks at uhaul are no help at all. I was told I would be sent the camera footage it was never sent to me .

More communication with customers is needed. There were a series of break-ins in RVs at the facility, but U-Haul neglected to advise other RV owners to come and check their unit. As a result, water was allowed in my unit for a month, the floor rotted and the trailer is now a total loss. That is why I no longer need storage. More transparency from management would have allowed me to check in my trailer right away and maybe avoided the total loss. I understand break-ins are not necessarily something you always control, but the subsequent actions are yours. You dropped the ball on that one.

There was another customer that raced through a the gate and almost hit me in my truck he was in the third lane in from front desk and your awesome alarm picked up that he didn’t punch in and he should get a double warning about his agressive driving habits as well as his pre entry procedures bc it’s a storage facility not a drag strip of he was driving a white ford and it was at about 710 pm on your cameras feel free to call me for more information and I will be stopping in at the front desk to address my concerns

The online check in took 40 minutes! Our van we rented was not on site so we had to do the online check in all over again for an alternate van. I felt sorry for the staff member who was trying to help us. She tried her best but her hands were tied. This is the second bad experience with the online check in at a different location. I understand implementing the online check in but there are to many steps and customers should be given the option for the online method or dealing with the front desk person.

I honestly did not expect such a great service with u-haul at this time. we have used 2 u-box during our moving from BC to AB, I was worried about that because of the winter moving. But their transportation was just on time, even I have received arrived conformation e-mail before the due date! It was took only 2 days after I packed in u-box and asked them to ship. After we arrived new address, we just simply asked them to deliver our 2 u-box in front of our home, I could book just 1 day in advance and they delivered on time! This service was very convenience, and save a lot of money!!! I definitely use U-Haul service again when we are moving!!! I highly recommend their service.

The experience was brutal. I reserved it days before the pick up date. When I got there I was informed that I had to process the pick up on my phone. Huh? I had already reserved it online I tried to explain. Nope I had to go through the UHAUL log in process and to make matters worse I didn't have the my Uhaul login pasword. The entire process took 22 minutes. When I returned the vehicle I had to process myself oUT via my cell phone. It was nut. Part of the login process I had to take an array of pictures (drivers licence, myself etc) and input it on the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. The vehicle itself was fine.

It took 45 mins for my moving van to access the yard and my unit due to malfunctioning access card, keys & cars blocking the way. Moving van cost me $180/hr. These issues cost me $135.

Hazelwood Ave facility Mgr is very good. Lights burned out in hall by my unit. Having hall lights on 10 min timer is extremely unsafe. Every 10 min I was left in the dark. Safety hazard. Liability.
