Have the truck reserved available rather than us calling on Saturday morning, having to change both truck size and location. Also we reserved a dolly and it wasn't provided. We were not charged for the dolly but we were also not informed that there wasn't one in the truck. It was pretty frustrating. The staff at pick up and drop off were fantastic.TIMOTHY WILLIAM V.

I'd reserved a utility dolly. I arrived to be told they didn't have one and there was nothing they could do about it. They wouldn't even check other nearby locations for available dollies. I had to call around myself and wasted 45 minutes to find and retrieve one from another location. I was told this is a uhaul wide policy. I'd suggest uhaul change their way of doing business and make sure dollies are available when reserved.JAMES DALE M.

The owner (don't recall her name) and associate, Tia, were both very helpful and nice - our reservation had been moved/changed 4 times by Uhaul since we made our reservation and as you can imagine we were very frustrated with the situation and having to last-minute move dates and several locations, but when we arrived to this location they did everything they could to accommodate us and provide us with the equipment we needed. Our trailer door didn't function and eventually we could not even close it. This prevented us from carry stuff back as we had intended, because we could not close the door. The service/roadside people said it would take 2 1/2 hours to get a service contractor there. I was given the number of the scheduling department to see if we could drop the trailer at a remote site (since it was useless to us), and they never picked up on the call (despite saying it was the national number). I was also given the customer service number to request help and the queue was 22 minutes long. We did not achieve our move objectives - and we got no help to rectify. This is frustrating - but I don't think it reflects on the location, but implicates the entire rental process. This is not the first time we had had missed expectations on this front. The local franchise folks are generally awesome - although, in this case the local business should have checked the door more thoroughly.DEBRA WILLIAMS B.

An absolutely seamless move, all thanks to the wonderful customer service representatives and movers! The communication was excellent (truly, it far exceeded my expectations) and I was notified every step of the way of the times my U-Box would be delivered and picked up. True to size, 1 box is the perfect amount of space for a 1 bedroom apartment. Moving across the country is stressful, but the U-Box process took so much weight off my shoulders. The truck broke down less than 1/4 mike from the rental location and the 800 help line never answered the phone . I walked to the rental and they argued with me about helping. One nice gentleman tried to help but Aaron the Assistant Manager said and I quote â€œyou are responsible to return the truck by 5:00 PM and my shift ends at 5:00 and then I am going home. What a jerk! Finally one of the women in the office helped connect to the u-Hail help line and the tie truck came. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!David R.

I have had a terrible experience with UHaul and UBoxes. Only 2 of my 3 boxes were shipped to my new address on time. I contacted UHaul through numerous means including phone calls to local stores and the national number, chat through the website, and even asked family members still living in the area to go in person to try to resolve the issue. None of the several people who spoke with me seemed to have the authority or ability to solve the problem. Due to Uhaul's mistake, I was charged an additional month of rent for the 3rd box. After many phone calls on my part, the box was shipped and finally arrived over 2 weeks late. I was charged over 600 $for shipping the late box. It then took another 2 weeks to get the charges refunded because that required someone from the Arizona office to contact me, which apparently there was no urgency to do. UHaul did eventually refund the charges per their policy. Several individuals were extremely helpful and did all they could to help me with this issue, but the structure of the UBox program appeared such that few individuals have the ability or access to fix mistakes. Mistakes happen, but there is no excuse for taking over a month to fix them. There is too much of a disconnect between the local stores and the shipping company to fix mistakes in a timely manner. That coupled with the complete lack of urgency on the corporate (Arizona) management to assist with solving the issue and refund the charges per their policy was unacceptable. I will find other companies to assist with my moves in the future.Molly B.

We paid for 24- hour access, but then were unable to access at 10:30 at night. After hours phone number went unanswered. Phone call to customer service didn't show any issues with our account and left it to us to resolve. I make this comment with the understanding that it is difficult for employers to find help right now. The location was understaffed which led to very long wait times to check-in and to get on the road. The staff available were extremely polite and as helpful as possible. U-Haul's mobile check-in does not work. This is not a complaint about the location. They do not control the app. This is on corporate. One of my worst experiences at U-haul. Was given a storage unit only to find it already had a lock on it... and then this happened a second time... and each time took way too long to figure out. The staff were overwhelmed and poorly managed by the manager on site. What should have been a 30 min MAX experience turned into 1,5hrs of my time. My original reservation wasn't available, and the office was unable to honor the original price of my storage unit - I was forced to pay nearly twice what my original rate was. When I arrived my unit had a zip-tie on it and no lock inside, which was the only thing I needed to actually get started. I had to go in the office and ask for one, which makes the online no-contact reservation idea pointless. I was able to figure it out, but the system of arming and disarming alarms at one panel, and opening the building doors at a different panel, was very confusing. I heard one alarm go off while I was moving in, and I'm sure that happens all the time. The unit numbering is also very confusing, and it took me a while to find the correct building (I'm in the 1600s). Going from the 1400s to the 2000s, and having the 1600s out front, makes no sense. Finally, the stairs to the upstairs units have a lip on them that makes it much harder to pull a dolly up them.Daniel S. | Online Move In
