We tried to do contact free pick up. We couldn't find the truck, on the small lot. Had to go inside and wait in line 20 minutes. The employee didn't greet or say anything to us. She just stared at us, I'm not kidding! When I tried to explain the situation she just stared at me, then I said something and it was like she snapped out of a trance, then got very shitty with us. I'm HOPING you have video of this interaction! I don't know if she was on drugs or was asleep with her eyes open. Also, the process of using the app was terrible! It took too long to do the check in and check out.

The website is very misleading. The unit we rented said 1-2 bedrooms with about 1200 sq ft. Went to pick up the lock and the inside signs said a studio. The unit barely would fit a studio apt. Asked to upgrade to a bigger unit and was told none were available but I could rent a second unit if I needed. She said I could do it online since it was closing and I wasn't 100 % sure. Moved in what I could and rented a second unit. I came with my bigger furniture to move in the unit, but couldn't access the ramp to the second floor because it was after 7pm. But I was told I would have 24 hr access to my second floor units. That was another lie. Called the GM like the sign said and she was the rudest person I've ever dealt with. Basically it was my problems. She never even apologized for the inconvenience. Told me to carry it up the stairs. I'm 4'11" and it was a French door refrigerator. I needed these units for a few months but I'll be taking my business elsewhere next month. And I'll be reviewing your business on yelp, Google, FB and every other site I can find.

We have rented for years here. Picked up cargo van 9/16/22. Had a lot of damage. Even broken windshield not previously documented. Couldn't use AC on a 90 degree day because when you turned it on, it smelled like pig crap! Turned it in a day early, 15 minutes prior to opening and site did not work to do from phone. Guy working at check in was rude and tried to get us to leave without us checking in all I did was ask “what I should do since site wouldn't work” he finally did his job and checked us in ( mind you he had already checked 6 vehicles in.. he told us) then screamed at me as I walked away “ my name is John by the way so you can report me” Worst service and equipment I've ever gotten there.

I was told delivery service would be scheduled to my addresses once my THREE Uboxes arrived. However, once they arrived there suddenly was no delivery service available. I had to scramble and spend $1400 more on help to get my boxes. Why so much? Well. The facility told me I could pick up my boxes on my scheduled time. But Ofcourse the day of I suddenly can only take ONE BOX AT A TIME. I was 20 minutes away- so. I had to have my moving help drive 20 minutes to pick up the pod, wait until they got back to unload and then wait for them to drive there and back to get the other. Instead of this taking 1-2 hours total it took almost 5 with this process. I am BEYOND frustrated and heartbroken at this entire experience. Never again

I had to call and ask about my receipt. Then I didn't receive it until the next morning. I like to settle everything before I leave. I don't like dropping anything off and being told I will receive a email receipt that night. Then even after calling. I still didn't receive it until the next morning.

Overall a good experience. Well done. Only issue I had was the fuel tank was nearly empty when I picked up the truck, which caused me to have to fill up immediately after leaving the lot. Other than that, no issues.

The lady that set me up was pretty rude...she had NO patience at all..I am a woman of age that is technically challenged! She was not friendly at all...She did not explain the refueling process to me in a way which I could understand...She made me feel as I was taking up her valuable time! I really just wanted to get away from her as she made me feel uncomfortable!!! Therefore was charged extra fuel expense for not putting fuel in truck! I have used uhaul in the past (years ago) and had a great experience! Just wished this gal had been more into her job..other than making me feel like an ignorant elder!! She needs to learn manners!!

The receptionist could've been more upbeat. She didn't smile and was curt when trying to engage in conversation. Maybe she was having a bad day, if so, don't show it when handling the public.

The tire and wheel well were damaged. We tried to get the location to give us a different trailer. They would not. The wheel well was hitting the tire. And then the tire started locking up after we pulled out of the location. We called in and she told us to call a national number. We did and go no answer. She also had us come in Sunday to get the trailer due to Labor Day Monday and were told there would be no additional charge. We were charged $29 More. I can send photos of the damaged wheel

The people I hired picked up and returned the uBox on time. Then UHaul called me days later saying it had never been returned. It took two phone calls from me and from the people for them to 'remember' it had been returned.

Josiah was very helpful- went out in the pouring rain to hook up the UHaul trailer to my SUV- I put up the hatchback and held an umbrella over him but he was soaked! That's going above and beyond the call of duty! He was very patient and kind, explaining the hitch hookup so I could unhook it my self on Labor Day when the lord would not be manned.

The only negative was this was a holiday weekend and there was only one staff dealing with customers. I had to wait an hour. While waiting I listened to many customers complaining. There is also a requirement to give them a phone number of someone that can verify you are renting a truck.

My drop off was a disaster. First, I was supposed to drop off at RamTec (120 Louisiana St. Evansville, IN) who was closed, during business hours, with no one answering their phone. They had no safe place to drop off an unprotected trailer. Then, I went to the official location and had to ask the personnel to actually look at the trailer and agree that there was no damage.

The lady at check in lacked personality, short and abrupt, acted annoyed. Maybe it was just a bad day. The guy working outside where you turn the trucks in was super friendly and outgoing. Made us feel like our business was appreciated.

1) Provide the trucks with a full tank of fuel. The gas gauges don't go up correctly as you add fuel, even with the key turned on. I kept adding 1 gal at a time. Finally, after adding 8 gal, I stopped. When I started the truck and started driving it went up to over a 1/2 tank when I only needed to return it to 3/8 tank. With the price of gas, this is very frustrating. 2) Provide alternate methods of scanning driver's license besides customer having to use cell phone. 3) Would be nice if personnel acknowledged you when you drove up to return the truck even if the are busy with other returns.

Order two dozen moving pads and we're not prepared and only had one bag they had to search for. Dolly and appliance dolly were thrown into back of trucks and not even strapped down properly and the appliance dolly was broken the strap wouldn't even lock into place so otherwise useless. Never again. Will use other companies

Agent seemed to be bothered. I ordered boxes along with the truck and appliance dolly rental. I was required to pay for the boxes ahead of time. The Agent tried to charge me for them again. I asked where the truck was parked. He did not know and told me it was either out front or out back. There were 2 out front and around 10 out back. The appliance dolly was not in the truck. I had to go back in the office to get it. Of all of the times I have rented in the past I never had to give an alternate contact that had to vouch for me renting the truck. Overall bad experience and will make me think twice about ever renting again.

I original was requesting a 26 ft truck. Of course they couldn't supply one. Same as last year. They had 7 on the lot when I picked mine up, and when I returned it late that night. My reservation pickup was listed in the wrong location. So she had to cancel and start over. Which threw me behind. And this demand to return to booking location with equipment is a joke with current mileage rates and gas prices. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. Needless to say, I had to rent another truck to finish moving on my next day off. I didn't rent from you. And as a restaurant manager that frequently self moves , and has used you every time with my moves, I now choose to use another company. Bye bye U-Haul.

The vehicle was not clean. The windshield was so filthy on the inside I couldn't hardly see out of it. The back had cigarette butts in it. The staff was very unfriendly, and unprofessional. Planning on calling corporate!!!

Very rude and unattentive staff. The policy changes for picking up and dropping off the rental were not communicated, which made the process very long and cumbersome. Now that I understand the current process, I would have avoided the staff all together.

Found out quickly and luckily before i left that the AC, fan and radio did not work. I asked for another truck, they didn't have any - would have seemed like they could have checked other nearby locations but they didn't even try. I had to ask then about a possible discount and only got $20. All the reps there seemed to portray that I was wasting their time. I'm sure they're good people and maybe they're overworked and/or understaffed causing stress but I would hope they could have been more empathetic and tried something to make a bad situation better.

Tell people before they get to the shop that they have to provide a phone number to another person and the uhaul rep has to call them. So, you can have a person lined up to answer.

I've rented from the same location before with a regular debit card from my bank and this time when I rented they told me I had to have a major credit card and could not use my debit card to rent the pickup truck I had to rent a way bigger truck for $39 with my regular debit card! I don't understand why I can't rent the smaller cheaper truck with a debit card but I can rent the big more expensive truck with the debit card. I only needed to move a couple small items so I really did not need the bigger truck

I had reserved the truck online and it gave me a location but when we arrived at the scheduled time, the vehicle was not there. We had to go clear across town to another location to pick up a truck resulting in additional cost for the labor we secured.

Checkout took over 1/2 hour without waiting in line, they backed up the start time and intended to charge me a second day because they set return to 24 hours and 15 minutes, when the printer didn't work they wanted to send me on the road without a copy of the rental contract. The credit card hold didn't match the rental contract making me think they added services I didn't authorize. When I checked in an employee unhitched the trailer then went off an did something else instead of checking it in even though he had a handheld device It took another half hour to get it checked in that included multiple trips out to the lot to get someone to check it in so I could get a receipt and verify the charged amount. I had to wait through the line twice and then complain to a manager who finally go my receipt or I would have been there another 20 minutes.

I have rented truck , trailers , car dolly all kinds of stuff from you and it's the right night drop offs that is kind of weird where are you leave the key i'm always afraid somebody's gonna steal it and I'll get the blame and will have to pay for the vehicle

This was a horrible experience with U-haul. I reserved my truck at one location only to be called the next day and told I had to pick up all the way across town at a different location. Then 30 minutes before I was supposed to pick up the truck I got a call to tell me there was no longer any available trucks. I was told I could drive over an hour away to pick up a vehicle if I wanted to. Why would I want to drive over 60 miles one way for a vehicle when I have to pay mileage and am on a limited timeframe. I asked if I could just get a trailer instead was told no. Then was called back later to be told there was a 10' truck available later that day at 4pm. Mind you I had reserved a 20' truck so that I would only have to make 1 trip. So now not only did I lose time but I also had to get a smaller truck which meant I had ti make multiple trips and pay extra mileage I would not have had to pay had I gotten the truck I reserved. This was a horrible day, my daughter was pregnant and hemorrhaging and this was the only day I had to get her things moved out.

Our truck we reserved and rented, actually prevented us from getting half of the things we needed due to a cockroach infestation in the back, that we didn't discover until we were already at the store and purchased items.

Hello everyone, while I do love U-Haul and everything they price this particular location had pretty awful customer service. I reserved everything I needed a week in advance because I needed a truck and trailer for the day they had everything when I got there. Now I will say I didn't realize you needed a credit card to complete the rental my bad on that part. I was told of course I can go get it, so I did. They told me they would hold my reservation no problem which I kind of figured I was about to give them 300 dollars for the day. I was gone for a total of 30 minutes well when I got back the trailer I specifically reserved was being hooked up to another vehicle. I went it to try and figure out what was going on and they simply said looks like we gave it to someone else while you were gone didn't try and help fix the situation nothing. I needed this truck that day at that time for 24 hours and they wanted to lie to me and tell me they were going to hold it. It almost ruined my whole day I was going to pick up a car so I was super excited but the Riverside location spoiled that experience for me. Mind you I'm usually a pretty easy going person but I did almost everything correct but they decide to screw me over

The 2 women that work there need serious attitude adjustments. The first girl told me that next time I show up early, I should call and make sure truck is available. It was and what was her point in wasting her breath saying this to me? The second time I went to the counter, the other lady was sitting down at another window and I asked if I should move to that cone and she said that would be helpful. Maybe she should move more and lose some weight. They both never smiled, vibes horrible. If I had time I would have gone to Penske

Rented a 6x12 covered trailer for an out of town move. During the night there was a rain storm. Trailer leaked so badly that water was standing inside and on our furniture. Ruined some very nice wood pieces.

Asked to extend rental told no that I had to bring the rental back but I can exchange it so I arrived to exchange rental there still was 4 other 10 footers available. Took me three extra hours because I had to exchange. They then charged for an extra day and insurance. Worst experience I've had here. This cost me a lot more to just do a simple task. Guest service was poor and unhelpful.

The first truck they gave us died a quarter of a mile from the uhaul place. Then charged me twice when i should have been charged once. I will not go back to this place again. We have been using this one place since 1997 and it has gone down so bad.

During the online reservation process, it would be helpful to be shown the difference between a utility dolly and a furniture dolly. It was not clear in the process that these are two different things. I reserved a dolly thinking I was getting a utility dolly. Instead I was given a furniture dolly. When I told the in-store employee that I thought I getting the utility dolly (one was in the store), she explained the difference between the two and that I reserved a furniture dolly, which was not what we wanted and we ended up not using. Would it have been possible to adjust our reservation and trade out the furniture for the utility dolly? I'm not sure because that was not offered, but it would have been a nice customer service gesture. The equipment was clean for the most part, but the cab smelled like someone had previously smoked in it and the truck itself seemed somewhat old. It drove & functioned just fine, though.

I needed the 10x15 size and was told one was available at the facility. As I attempted to book it online, the unit was not available. An employee kindly assisted me through the online process and told me to book the 5x5 and when I arrive to the facility they would get me in the 10x15 and I would pay the difference at that time. I booked the 5x5 online which included a free lock for booking online. Once at the facility to finish and switch out the reservation for the 10x15 a different employee assisted. She made the switch. After reviewing the online receipt I noticed the employee charged me for a lock which I already got free for booking online. I asked to be refunded for the lock since I got it free online. She said to do so, she would have to refund the entire amount then charge my card again for the amount without the lock. This was an unacceptable process as I would have to wait a few days for the first authorization to drop from my account. I asked if she could just give us enough boxes for the over charge and she said she could not but would have a manager contact me. It has been two days and I still haven't been contacted. This was not an overall positive experience. Nor is it acceptable for a company to have a promotion and not figure out how to honor without inconveniencing the customer. Moving is expensive and stressful. A company's processes should not make doing business with a customer, difficult for the customer.

When I ordered the unit online it said that it was climate controlled, a lock would be in the unit, and to go and put my code in. When I arrived my code did not work, there was not a lock in the unit, and it was definitely not climate controlled. I went downstairs to the desk to see what was going on with my code and where I could find the lock and the general manager(that's the shirt the person was wearing) was extremely snarky and rude about why my code did not work. I did not plan to leave a negative review hoping that over time things would get better and I'd be able to leave a 5 ⭐️ review but I received a text asking for a review.

When we first got the unit, the information about the 24 hr access was not explained very well. We could not get in when we tried. We were there early to finish unloading the truck but could not get in. We were not charged for being late because of unloading the vehicle. We tried to enter the unit a second time after hours and still could not get in. When making the payment, the after hours was taken off and the first fee was refunded.

At one point I did have a problem where the computer system had messed up and had indicated I was no longer paying. That was fixed quickly and I wish I knew the name of the lady that fixed it for me. Other than that my time was it there was completely stress-free and I greatly appreciate it.

Information given seemed simple enough but key details were not conveyed. I was told to access the building through a certain door only to find out that door doesn't work how it's supposed to when trying to move in. Also it was never mentioned a circular lock was required until after I had put on my own and had to get someone to take the office lock off.

My furniture and beds got ruined in the unit and I was told that there is no place to put my items that were molded so I had to put them n my vehicle with mold all over them and dispose them which isn't fair because it was the storage unit that ruined them and I had to take them off instead of putting them in the dumpster at the facility. Also, some of the workers are NOT PEOPLE FRIENDLY AND SHOULD NOT BE WORKING AT A PUBLIC PLACE!

Staff was very rude. Called for a promotion with a full move one way, when we go to check in they told us that corporate does not know what they are talking about because they are not here and do not work the front desk.. They can not give us the promotion even with availability open. Then ended up charging us more because they did not know how to transfer the account to a smaller unit. I have been a uhaul customer for over 15 years and this was by far the worst experience I have had.

Somehow, my reservation was lost and when my friend, who was my contact, went to measure a piece in storage, there was a lock on the door. It wasn't my fault, as I didn't delete the account or close it. It was UHaul's fault. I will credit the desk person with being very helpful and forthright. She didn't charge me for last month. But, now I can't use my old contact, who is a trusted friend and who has a key to the place. I was told I had to use a new one. This is preposterous. There was no reason for me change that was given and this person I have as my contact I have known well for over 15 years. Please find a reason and explain to me why I can't use the person I trust the most in my life as my contact. Mind you, he is a site supervisor for a security company and has passed multiple background checks for his jobs, so to that end, I'm angry. You get three stars because the desk person (I don't remember her name) was excellent in her customer service.

Hours changed every day was over charged twice couldn't use my code to access my unit after 7pm and I paid extra for that as well as forces to buy 3 different locks throughout the whole experience my trailer didn't have the correct wiring so I had no lights on it which forces me to spend another 40$ on a special attachment was a horrible experience all around

Using uhaul is never a problem, same cannot be said about the staff. Equipment and van wise: the van was so much better than the truck and I will definitely be using it again. The storage was easy to get to and there was carts to help load it. I did not know I only made a reservation for the storage and the only problem I had was the lady (Jonnie) was really rude. Too much attitude and not enough caring. Other than that uhaul is the best at moving!

I was happy with my prior experiences and even tho it was 15 or 20 yrs ago I thought I'd see if you could do it again. In fact it was this same Uhaul store I used as well. Place still looks clean and well maintained and I don't have much but feel comfy using yall again cause some these storage places are run down or often robbed lack of security. Hope I'm right and thanks yall!

There was mouse poop and roaches in my things after moving it out. I complained once earlier this year and it was ignored. When I was moving out the staff left the office and stopped answering the phones. They left the lock on my unit after I was paid up for over a week. No one noted that I left the facility even though I did inform them and the company attempted to charge me again. You charge a lot of money for my things to be messed up. The manager told me I should have paid extra for coverage for something that they clearly knew was going to happen. If I had been told it was a guarantee I would have, I guess. Katie wasn't interested in "resolving my dispute" but we will contact a lawyer concerning U-Hauls "pest free facility"
