I had reserved a truck and car Dolly at min 3 weeks prior to needing on Oct 1st. I was to get my rental in newburgh and then when it was time for them to confirm they had my equipment to rent I had to dr I ve from newburgh to Riverside in evansville to get the truck and dolly. Then I had to wait 45 min for my truck as it wasn't there yet had not been returned. Finally truck was returned, (thats what i was told) they got it ready, the amount came andnit seemed off from what I was quoted and then I asked what abt the dolly for the car, and they said there is no reservation for a dolly, I told them there was to be ok ne it was made at same time as truck. They kept waiting and trying to find a dolly it showed one there but it wasn't in the system as returned but one was in the property. It was such a cluster mess I've never seen a disaster such as this at all. My entire bill was to be 610.00 dollars but ended up over 700 more than the estimate they guaranteed, I did get returned 42.00 dollars for the gas part but that was it. I've never been so disappointed and frustrated in my life, the workers was trying to get things right. I've rented from the before and never had such a bad experience as this. Very sad for sure

1. Moving help. River City Movers never called and I called them 5 times. We were scrambling to find movers last minute. It was an absolute headache. 2. We booked a truck at Iron Guard Storage Newburgh which is a 2 minute drive from our home. That was changed a day before to Uhaul on Riverside which is a 20 minute drive from our home. Not our choice and not convenient. 3. When we arrived to Riverside to pick up our truck, the code for mobile pick up had expired. We then had to stand in line only to find out the truck we had reserved was not available. They ended up getting us a defective one (ramp was broken). 45 minutes of our time was wasted at riverside and that doesn't include the 40 minute commute. 4. When I received the text link to advise whether it was in good shape, I received an error link and was unable to report the broken ramp. 5. With all issues I faced from beginning to end, I was disappointed that there was not some type of discount given.

My truck was not in ky as planned. I had to drive to Indiana which took all toll 3.5 hours. Several slip ups in the process. This was on moving day. The truck was excellent. The price is reasonable. Drop-off location/service excellent.

Contacted U Haul on web and was called back by after 2 hours. Rented a 5X8 enclosed trailer and when I received confirmation email of reservation it had the wrong U Haul center and time to pick up trailer also Text message was wrong. Called Riverside center and corrected. Day of pickup my truck wiring was faulty so returned home and fixed. when I returned my trailer had been delivered to another person. On further investigation trailer I had reserved was found to be stolen and no 5X8 enclosed trailers available. Rented open 5X9 trailer finally.

They had mostly new people. Two people didn't even know how to reserve the equipment. I had to make two trips to the store to get the equipment secured. I had tried to call and one woman said she didn't have time to answer the phone.

The manager was great and helped me out of a situation. I had originally reserved the auto hauler in Terre Haute, but it was not available, then they tried to send me to Lafayette, which was 100 miles away, then Newburgh, Which was changed to Owensboro, KY, and then changed to Marion, IL whichwasn't over a hundred miles from Evansville. Finally, I went myself to the Riverside location in Evansville. The manager was professional and rented the hauler to me. U-Haul owes me over $200 since they guaranteed my reservations in 4 different locations which were available to meet my needs.

Everything was great the only problem I had was the location ran out of dollys so I was out on that and I really needed one for my appliances. And I wish I would've been told how the rental worked a little more in detail since it was my first time renting I didn't know what I was doing and the lady at the check out was nice but just kinda gave me some information and I had to figure out the rest she kinda gave me very little information and had the attitude like ok you should know what to do next.

Worst experience of my life. Only one who truly helped me was a kind man in customer support. The rest was awful. No one knew what was going on and better yet I didn't get a receipt for half of my rental. Cried because at almost 8 months pregnant it's a little stressful to be told 10 different things. Will never do this again that's for sure.

The lady at the desk is very unprofessional and by very hard to understand when she speaks. Even her coworker agreed to the speech issue. The check in (Return of vehicle) process was confusing. Seemed no one was around and then the lady at the counter was still not speaking clearly.

Long wait for attendant to help me with pick-up process followed by inability to find the truck I rented. Mentioned the UHaul guarantee and they magically found the truck in the back. Glad I didn't get charged for the pre-existing scratches, but it was super inconvenient. Especially as this location was at least 5 miles from my move and I was moving in the opposite direction.

on a Saturday, there was a new employee there by herself. we were there for 1.5 hours trying to pick up a small truck. The truck had not been checked in correctly and the manager had to come in from home to get it right. There were many people in line upset about the wait. I would think you would have better staffing on what i'm sure is your busiest day of the week. It really messed up our plans and we lost some of our available moving help because of the delay. Not sure we will use you again.

MASKS! They are mandated in Indiana and no employee wore a mask while in the store or talking with customers. Did not have the equipment I reserved. Did not go over the details of my rental. A smaller vehicle. Unorganized and unprepared for pick up. Rude during drop off. There are other U-hauls in Evansville and other businesses that rent equipment. I will not return to this location.

This location needs to improve its customer service by having more than one employee working the desk on a Saturday morning!! Several other employees were there but they just walked by as we all stood in line. I did attempt to do self service but had questions. The young man cleaning the trucks was very helpful and even came back a few mins later to check on me. He is the only reason I'm not rating this a below average.

Truck was full of white animal hair and smelled like an animal. Took forever to get service at location and then took forever for them to pull the truck around. And there was no line either.

Manager is not customer service oriented. 3 customers in branch, 3 counter people, 1 being the manager. Only one person was helping the customers. After standing there for 10 minutes the manager finally asked can I help you. I explained to my situation and she took a phone call and walked away told me she'd be back never came back. Finally got asked by the person who was helping the other people if I could be helped that was another 10 minutes later. I explained to her what I needed and she was helpful. the other person besides the manager behind the counter did nothing she just was on the computer the whole time wouldn't help any customers at all. As it was it took me the day before 2 hours to get them to even answer my phone call at which point the person who answered the phone told me that she's so busy right now she couldn't do anything and she just kept on talking to her I said look I just need to know that I can speak to the manager because I waited for a half an hour just to get contact with somebody through U-Haul. She took my number and said the manager would call me back that never happened so I had to drive to the branch the next day so that I could get some kind of service and then you saw the service above is what I got. I would never use this Branch again if it was the only place I had to order something I would find another way that's how bad the service was and the manager was just more busy about talking to the people that work there and on the phone than anything else

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a rental company and it would be a very tall order for me to ever use Uhaul again. I originally used Uhaul so I could avoid driving to Evansville and with no real warning had my pick up location changed twice. Then after picking up in Evansville I am told by the very rude agent that there was no dolly for my move. Since the dolly was essential for my move I picked one up at a different location after waiting in line for nearly an hour as the location was grossly understaffed. There your rude agent lacked any care about my situation and basically told me no one in corporate cares either. So far that has been the case. So now I am several hours behind on my move and have wasted miles for what should have been a 16 mile move from pick up to drop off. Needless to say I will not have anything nice to say about your company in the future so enjoy the mileage ripoff and other fees you accrued because it's the last dollar Uhaul will see from me.

Have the keys in the lockbox for the online pickup. Had to wait for 50 minutes in line in order to have a key handed to me. They seemed to be way understaffed and there was a lot of confusion as other trucks had been rented out to other customers that apparently had reservations.

The evening CSR, Sunday the 13th had one of the worst customer attitude. I explained this was my 1st time returning a truck. She kept repeating herself, like an airplane flight attendant. I explained I am sorry, I am confused. Do I stay in the truck till checked? She was very rude at my lack of understanding. She continued to speak to me...till another Uhaul employee saw/heard our conversation. She was awesome, she understood my concerns and explained what I needed to do. Sorry I was a new Uhaul customer....never will be again.

Front desk management and customer service extremely unorganized and unprofessional. Too many loud talking trashy people working behind the desk. I've rented many uhauls over the years and this was the worst experience I've ever had at any uhaul site.

Terminate current staff (Ms. Byrd, Mr. Nathan). Hire professional, honest, and friendly staff. Ensure you're giving customer correct quotes. Ensure truck and tow dolly is present when customer arrives. Do not threaten customer. Do not put the blame on the customer for not having truck or tow dolly. Do not overcharge customer by $350. Do not disrespect customer especially a veteran like you did me. Do not say you retired from the military (Ms. Byrd) with 25 years, you're disrespecting the military especially with your unprofessionalism. Do not change the drop off location after the customer leaves. You changed mine to Louisiana and I was going to Pennsylvania. The store was very dirty and unorganized. The staff was not wearing any protective masks.

Location was fine. But had we known that the trailer would have no leaf springs or suspension we would have gone with a different trailer or company. The trailer shook so bad it shook the suburban we pulled it with. It also shook so bad that it shook our straps loose. We had to stop halfway to our destination and strap everything again. By the time we got to our destination, it had shaken so bad that it shattered our glass shelves that went into the china cabinet. These shelves were wrapped in bubble wrap AND a moving blanket. My husband and myself are long time haulers and this is by far the worse trailer we have ever pulled. It even shook our duramax the we dropped the trailer off with. Overall, awful experience. Not to mention, it had expired tags on the trailer.

Hire more Evelyns. Evelyn was amazing. She handled the chaos of moving day with grace and strength. Due to circumstances beyond her control she did her best to please the customer. When I arrived my truck wasn't there. She offered me a larger truck for the same price. Then she offered me a smaller truck. That truck had a nail in the tire. The location was busy and she was doing her best to make things happen. Finally a truck pulled in early and she put it in our hands. She deserves a raise.

My personal experience wasn't that great. There was a whole thing where Everytime I came to town it seemed I couldn't access my belongings my swipey card didn't work after hours. I don't remember that being explained to me it said nothing about this in my contract I called an after hour number but couldn't get an answer.the online payment site was hard to use and charged me a late fee I never was able to get resolved. I rented on a holiday weekend when other facilities were closed so that was a convince others don't offer. The unit I had was very large at a very good rate. The staff at the office has always been more then helpful and very friendly.. I will always come here to get excite to impatience or anger; annoy trucks and accessories to haul but I would never recommend a storage here.

I am not entirely sure why but I had the most unpleasant experience at this specific location. The women at the front desk were not attentiave and had to call someone else every two or three minutes because they did not understand the system or what I was asking of them. I understand that sometimes there are people training but it did not seem to me like they were training. Also, I had to explain to this one woman that I needed a refund and wanted me to prove to her that I was not "lying to me." I was baffled by that statement and went to grab my receipt in the truck. I will not be going back to this location.

The getto black woman you had working was very rude and unprofessional. Eating chips licking her fingers and talking while food is in her mouth and no teeth to hold the food in her mouth while she talking. ( In other word she was spitting chips out her mouth as she was talking).

I called several times to confirm reservation and give an hour notice before pick-up (as instructed). Every call I was on hold at least 30 mins before anyone would answer. At one point, I waited 40 mins on hold, then the line completely disconnected. During pick-up, service was very rude. Ate their lunch in front of me (at the check-in counter) and told me to wait for them to “down a quick one”. Horrible representation for your company. I will not be doing business again from this location again.

I tried to check in online but I had expired. I went inside. The lady at the desk, I believe her name is Evelyn, was incredibly rude. Her mask was below her chin. She couldn't be bothered to stand up to hand me the paperwork to sign. She told me to just move the boxes that were set up to maintain social distancing. She charged me for the Safe Move insurance, which I had opted out of online. I am very disappointed.

The staff I delt with in the office where rude and argumentative. My reservation was in and they changed the name on it but still had my card number on the reservation. When I asked the lady how and why this was I was told I don't know but you can't rent this trailer without them here to pick it up. After 45 mins of dealing with her I got help from a guy who was very helpful. I asked him the same question and he said she is always doing that but don't know why . I will never return to that location again.

Self check out did not work, therefore we were charged extra the next day even though it was returned on time with multiple tries to check out via the uhaul app as told to do. When calling about this I spoke to a rude lady who told me there was nothing she could do to help and that I was pretty much out of luck for something that was out of my control. They need better customer service. Or get cameras (which I was told they did not have) to be able to see when things like this occur.

Very unprofessional my experience was horrible I reserved online my truck was reserved by three other people. So I have to go inside my reservation was at 8 in the morning I didn't get a truck until almost 11. I would never refer anyone so there's U-Haul place and I haven't heard back from anybody about trying to rectify the whole experience I had. 👎👎👎👎 There was one lady at the end that was very helpful Virginia Boyd deserves a raise and deserves to be the manager over there because the manager they have Now sucks and the whole crew other than the lady Virginia needs to be fired or retrained

I returned the trailer just how it was issued to me and was charged a cleaning fee. I also showed up at 7 am to pick up the trailer at my scheduled time and nobody had opened the store and I had to wait 2 hours before an employee arrived to open the store. I left a message with the GM and have not been contacted back. Worst customer service I have seen.

I reserved a 6x12 trailer with a ramp. i get there to pick it up and after waiting for over a half an hour even though i did everything on line, the trailer they reserved for me was broken. there were 2 more of the same trailers on the lot but they wouldn't let me have either one of those telling me they were reserved. I said I reserved mine also. So I got tired of waiting so I settled for an enclosed trailer. Now it is going on 11:30 am . So I go move the stuff I needed to move and bring back the trailer cleaned mind you. What made me really upset was when I returned the 2 other 6x12 trailers were still there in the same spot!!

Jacqueline was a helpful as she could be when I picked up. There was a line out the door, she was the only one there. Unfortunately she forgot to mention that if I return the trailer after hours, I had to check it in via the app or online. I found this out the next morning (today), when the very rude GM Nathan informed me of this. Granted he didn't charge me the $20 as listed in the fine print. I'm thankful for that, but his attitude is horrible. I understand they were very busy, but that's not an excuse for a GM to have a poor attitude with a customer.

Absolutely no customer service and no direction were given to me upon arrival of picking up the UHAUL truck and storage unit. Upon arriving we waited in line for 30 + minutes with only one other customer in front of us Of which 3 employees were standing around or sitting down behind the counter. The card machine was not working properly. That along with being basically ignored when we walked in the door and were the only ones standing in line was unacceptable. We were told after leaving with the truck that upon arriving with the truck we would then get further instructions and assistance with the storage unit I reserved. We arrived and once again were ignored by the blonde lady behind the counter. We received absolutely little to no instructions on how to gain access to the storage unit. We got to the storage unit and there was a lock on the door that was needing a key that no one told us about prior or offered assistance with and the store was closing in 10 minutes. I had to physically go down to the office and get assistance myself. The self check in process was terrible and I did not receive any account info or information on this process prior. I submitted it right at 8:00 PM the last possible time it was due before Being considered late. The unnecessary stress of the day did not help with my situation where I lost everything in a house fire 2 day’s ago. I even expressed this to the manager behind the counter and he proceeded to down play my situation and make jokes about COVID-19. I will never be doing business there again and do not plan on keeping my storage unit more than just a few days before I will take my business elsewhere. I will not be paying anymore to this company and will refuse payment for next month storage unit rent and terminating my contract ASAP.
