Location and people helping were great, the roadside assistance people were friendly and helped out great too... However, the truck I got broke down and that hugely impacted the work I needed to have done and I had to beg the mercy of a friend to borrow his truck. In addition, someone before me had smoked in the truck and it smelled awful. The guy taking back the equipment was nice enough to credit me for 1/4 tank of gas as the vehicle was also given to me empty. Still annoyed that I had to pay for 1 day worth of the rental. Luckily it broke down in my driveway and not while on the side of the road.

I had a reservation for a trailer, it took 1.5 hours to switch or change the rental to a truck, this is time I could have spent in moving. The staff was incompetent, arrogant, and untrained to do the job. The windshield wiper was falling off after the long office delay and I would rate the maintenance department excellent. King caring and prompt. If I owned this location I would fire both the persons at the front counter.

The U-Haul web site is overly complicated for what used to be the simple act of returning a vehicle. It's also overly complicated for simply reserving a truck in that all the same info is recollected by the counter person at the rental office. Just a bad customer interface front to back with all the requirements for entering info, much of which is private in nature, and not allowing any deviation before reserving or returning.

The reservation process is clunky at best. Still had to get in line due to website issues. When being seen process was still 20min even with being able to finally access online reservation. Not being able to cash out milage overage- having to refund card and recharge with new amount- with your company knowing it 7-10 business days for a major bank to refund money to be available again to cardholders. The place was clean the truck worked and employee listened. Only thing good about any of this.

Aaron was very helpful and provided good customer service. "The idiots at the West Seattle location get a POOR RATING. FOR EVERYTHING. Their favorite word is "NO" and the "female manager" is the worst of them all. I have spent hundreds of dollars at U-Haul in the last 3 months and my customer loyalty is fading. Kudos to the Federal Way and Tucson (Frontage Rd) locations!

We use this location almost every year for one reason or another. It is always clean, well heated in the winter and cool in the summer. The people that work there are always nice, polite and organized. The equipment is always there and ready to go. We live in Twin Lakes, Federal Way, WA and this is the closest to our house. This time when I ordered online my vehicle was originally at the Military Rd location but when I called to confirm the order they changed to the Enchanted Pkwy location which saved us about $20.00 in mileage. That was nice. Thank you Federal Way crew.

Customer service agent new little to none about the coverages. When ask to speak to a manager for clarification Brandon stated he was the manager. I was asked for a reservation number I stated I didn't get one that I was just on line and had plenty availably. The agent was very rude about me not booking one and stated there was no garentee he had anything available I told him I would book one if there was going to be a problem about it. He printed out the contract wrong stating I would return same day by 745 pm I stated no I needed a 24 hour rental he crossed out the time and hand wrote 24 hours I asked him to reprint with right time since it was a legal binding contract he refused stated his initials we're good enough. I told him I wanted to cover the full vaule of vehicle he sold me a waiver when I returned the the vehicle I was charged 2 days which I didn't notice until I saw it on my email receipt. I called for two hours was put on hold until a manager from corporate corrected this unfornate train reck experience

I made a reservation for a 20' truck well in advance and Uhaul called me the day before to tell me they had no trucks available in that size. They sent me to the Federal Way location for a 15'. I was in bad situation due to Uhaul and the unprofessional last minute cancellation. The guy at the counter found a way to help me and make the move a little easier given the hardship. So he saved the day and was the MVP

1st They gave away our rental. We reserved a 26ft truck, they rented it out an hour or so prior to our arrival. 2nd We waited almost 2 hours to receive a smaller truck. 3rd Due to the smaller truck we made several trips rather than one or two. 4th I Reserved move helpers, paid for via U-Haul. I received NO help, I received no assistance from anyone at U-Haul sorting out my paid-for move help. This entire rental experience was miserable at the very best.

Was handed the keys and told "the number is on the truck" (Great, which truck?!? There were dozens.) Took me 10 minutes to find it. Truck smelled of smoke. On return. Uhaul service and vehicles are going down hill again Vehicle had rough driveline. Constant squealing brakes. Touchy accelerator that jumped. Too much play in the steering. Drop off was ok. I gave this U-haul location a 3 out of 5, only because everyone did their job, which is what is expected of any employee. The one problem I did have was with their online check-in program for after-hours returns..It kept looping and not accepting the code number they had just sent me. When it didn't accept the code, it would dump me back to the first page to start the entire procedure all over again. Then after about 20 minutes and numerous attempts and some admitted frustration, I answered the last question again, sent another picture of the odometer, and it once again dumped me back to the beginning without any notification that the transaction had been completed...just looked like another loop. At this point, I just dropped the keys in the slot and left, frustrated. I went back in the next day to verify that the transaction went through, and it had. I think they need a new programmer. A simple message like "transaction complete, thank you for choosing U-haul" would help, and result in more positive reviews.

15 foot cube van is not really 15 feet. The box is 12. The "mom's attic" is the only portion that is 15 feet. So basically the upper 30 inches or so is 15 feet. The other 5 feet or so is only 12 feet long. Feel like I got duped.

You totally screwed us over by giving a rental in Federal Way where we were moving FROM and it was supposed to be BELLINGHAM!!! Then there were NONE available except Anacortez far far away. I’m SO F’n mad! You gave no discount, not help and we have to now retentions a truck n find AN rental space AND movers on both ends. This I found out 3 days before moving. U-Haul corporate wouldn’t do any tans saying I’m sorry is NOT enough. I have spent over 900$ with your company since April this year. First move the get staging furniture etc that was left for house sale. Now I need to go back , rent AGAIN, hire movers AGAIN. I’m a 71 year old retired teacher on social security n pension ! What are YOU GOING TO DO? SORRY DOESN'T GET RESULTS ! I want a response to this ASAP I understand mistakes are made , erasers can be used in school but not with this! Yes your individual stores make mistakes and learn but the person at this local doesn’t even know they made it to take responsibility. There’s no accountability or make up for your consequences!

I had a lot of problems! When I parked at our apartment, I was unable to start the U-haul van. I asked a neighbor and he tried and tried but couldn't start it either. The steering wheel had locked up. It took me about 20 min. to get it unlocked so the key would turn. After that, I couldn't find the gas cap. I should have been told where it was when I checked in. Then I had to return it after hours and I couldn't get the app to work. I tried and tried on my phone and finally gave up and just returned the key. I was pretty frustrated with the experience. :(

when I pick up the van it has 1/4 gas tank after I let the guy on charge know he just told me to take a Picture but he did not want to come with me to see the gas meter ,when I return the van they wanted to charge me 40 dollar extra for the gas , Even when I showed the picture and explained why I return the van with a 1/4 of gas tank. Also he told me that I use 98 miles when I just used 66. I wish to had a better service . I returned this van on 6/13/2029 around 9:00 AM.

We dropped the uhaul off at the location, spoke to someone who let us know we were good to go, and they would email us a receipt. We did not immediately receive the receipt, we figured it would come eventually. Received a phone call the next day from someone asking if we were going to bring the uhaul back, which was completely alarming. I explained I had already returned the truck the previous day. He said he would check on it, and I asked for a return phone call to confirm. I never received a phone call confirming that everything was all set, though I did get my email receipt. It was an added stress for an already stressful moving time.

I received a phone call two days before my reservation that my pick up in Ellensburg was not available and I would have to go to Yakima to pick up a truck!!! I was really upset as I had booked a month in advance!! I did not want to drive an extra 100 miles our of my way so I re booked for Friday pick up in Ellensburg. There was a truck there for me and the man there saidhe did have a truck for me and didn't know why my reservation had been changed. It was just added stress that want necessary.

I rented a truck a 10-foot U-Haul truck from your Enchanted Parkway location in Federal Way Washington. Kristen helped me, she was friendly, courteous and very helpful! I purchased a 3-day truck rental for $19.95 a day plus mileage, which was carefully calculated at the time of the rental . I also purchased the additional $42 smart move insurance to cover any damages to the truck that may occur while in my possesion. On day 3 of my rental I left my house planning to drop off my final load of furniture to my storage unit, (which is directly on the way to the U-Haul facility). From there I had planned to top off the truck with gas and then return the truck to U-Haul. I had allowed myself plenty of time to do all of the above in order to bring the truck back to the facility by the allotted time. However, when I tried to start the truck to leave it wouldn't start, but after a couple more tries it finally started and I headed out of my neighborhood. Unfortunately, after proceeding onto the main road the truck soon began surging and then started to lose power. Next the engine light came on. There was a great deal of traffic and I had to struggle to get the slow surging truck off of the road before it stopped running completely. I called the number on my rental paperwork and was patched through to the Roadside Assistance Department. They placed me on hold for over 30 minutes while they looked for someone in my area who could come out and assess the vehicle. When they finally located someone to come out, they informed me that it would be at least another 90 minutes before the repair people could get there . By this time my phone was dying, so I asked if I could lock the truck up and have a family member pick me up to bring me home to charge my phone and wait there. I was told that was fine and that the repair people would call me when they arrived. After the repair people ran their Diagnostics, they found the problem to be a faulty dead battery that needed replacing, which they did. However, after witnessing the engine light go on when the truck had stopped running earlier, I was concerned there may be something additional wrong with the truck. So as a precaution I asked my family member to follow me on my journey back to U-Haul just in case something else went wrong. After finally completing my lengthy and stressful journey back to U -Haul, I returned the truck where it was checked in by Harry. I explained to Harry that I was late returning the truck because it had broken down on me and that I had gone through the lengthy process of contacting their Roadside Assistance Department where they had to locate and dispatch someone to replace the truck's faulty battery. He said that was fine. However, when I went to pay my bill the charge was for more than the original estimate. I asked Harry why I was being charged more than my paperwork indicated after I had just experienced such a long, stressful ordeal (which by the way was due to

Nice unit but moving stuff in and out was difficult bc of staff parking their cars in the loading spots all the time. Expect a long line inside too, facility is very short staffed.

As many times as I have had to go into the office it is always under staffed. At one point I saw 4 employees standing outside smoking and talking, while there were at least 6 people in line.
