I had a VIP certificate and with a balance of 68,96 $. I showed the counter person that when I came to pick up the rental truck. He said OK no problem we will just apply the certificate when you come back and finalize the bill. When I did come back to return the truck and tried to use the certificate. I was told that it had expired. It doesn't say anything on the VIP certificate about an expiration date. I was never told of an expiration date when it was issued to me. I would like to have the certificate honored and be paid the 68,96 $ It's truly a shame that a company such as yours chooses not to honor their VIP certificate. It seemed the female working returns in the lot outside was trying to charge me for two days more and told me I hadn't paid yet; a quick trip inside resolved the issue. This female needs better training and no access to the handheld payment device. She was very confident, so it seems she was acting intentionally, perhaps with nefarious intent.

They made me return to a location other than the city I moved to, then charged me for extra miles and 40$ for being 20 mins late along with 14$ for insurance. Nothing was disclosed when I paid for it at pick up and nothing at drop off. Hours after returning it, I received an email with unauthorized added charges. Very poor customer service .

Check out was easy and the people very nice, but it would have been helpful for someone to take you to your truck and show you the basics. I had to search the lot for my truck, then go get someone to pull it out because it was parked too close to another truck.

The only thing I was not pleased with is I was told I couldn't do a night drop because they are having things stolen. I have always done night drops and check it in online with pictures and everything. Never had an issue. If they don't take night drops they need to remove the sign from the window,, and the hand written note explaining how to do it..

First off I was not supposed to pick up at this location, the Spanaway Washington location is where i was supposed to pick up, however those complete mouth breathing retarded fuckwads have no clue what there doing and should all be fired. I reserved a truck for an 11am pickup on august 27th, at around 9am while I was on an airplane flying in from Texas, these morons called me, mind you, 2 hours before I was supposed to pick up my truck, they told me they where sorry but they didn't have my truck and they wouldn't have anything intel Tuesday, or that I could use a 15 foot truck, what kind of idiot do you have to be to offer a smaller truck? I mean come on. I then told them no that was not going to work and i needed a truck at 11am. The guy then asked me if he could call me back in a a few minutes and see what he could do. about 10 minutes later he called me back and gave me the same stupid sob story about how they booked me a truck they didn't have and there was nothing they could do about it. (Basically fuck you we don't care what you went through to get here). At this point I was pissed off and raised my voice and asked him if U-Haul was gunna pay for my plane tickets, hotel room, missed work, and food, for fucking me over because they basically lied to me. He said no it doesn't work that way, so I told him he needed to fix this because I was not just gonna eat this for nothing. He then asked me if he could call me back again, this time it was almost an hour and I called him back and he tells me at this point that everyone is telling him to have me call the auburn store that they will fix it, he then gives me there phone number and takes no responsibility for this mistake at all. So I took over doing this idiots job and called Auburn, at this point I was boiling and supper pissed off and as soon as the girl answered the phone I was already yelling, I took a deep breath and apologized to the girl on the phone because it was not her fault, I explained everything to her and she told me the same thing, that they didn't have any trucks and there where no trucks available and there was nothing she could do. So at that point I explained to her that they where screwing over two customers because I was already signed up for load share and it was to be picked up the next day, so then she sounded surprised and was like O your doing a load share, ok just a minute she says, then less then 3 minutes later there is a truck available at another location. Now this caused me unnecessary stress and waisted hours of my time and I had to drive way further to get a truck and if you have ever had to drive in Washington you know driving anywhere in Washington you didn't plan to drive is bull shit. Now if you contact me later I will be glad to tell you how much of a pile of junk the truck was and it surprised me cause it was a newer truck. I will tell you whatever you want to know. I promise I wont yell and cuss at you as long as your smarter then the complete idiots working at the Spanaway Washington location.

Lifesaver. My truck broke down and had to put it in the shop. Rented a van from U-Haul and literally saved my week. I would definitely recommend this center location. Federal way. Person behind the counter was courteous and answered every question.

I was given the key to the truck and drove away but when I got to my destination I found the the back was locked and no keys!!!!! I had to back 20 mins and get the key !! There was no excuse for this!!! I should get a refund for ALL MY TROUBLES!!

During the rental I called into the Federal Way office, I could not reach them and was told that a central call center would take the calls. This was very unsatisfactory and unprofessional. Also when renting the truck we were not warned that putting up the glass and misc. storage shelf between the seat would result in not being able to put it back down. When I returned the truck I was told that the service workers could not put down the shelf either.

UHaul totally saved our moving day! We thought we'd hire a "professional mover" for a change, since we're in our 60s. They were snooty and unprofessional. They refused to move us because all our boxes weren't taped! Even though we told them that anything that was open we'd take in our truck or car UHaul had a truck and crew for us in an hour and got us moved that day!

Expensive for a 5x5 space. The online process was lengthy using a cell phone. I secured the space with a phone call and didn't realize I had more information to provide once I arrived at the storage facility.

This rental went fairly smooth. I arrived 20 minutes early and your system tried to charge me an extra 10 $per day. Very poor computer system. I was told they would have a two wheel dolly, but they were out. I had to buy one. The girl who assisted me at the time of rental was very helpful. Your records have my 2018 Ford listed as a two wheel drive short bed. It is actually a four wheel drive long bed. I asked to have this information corrected and was told it couldn't be done.

This STORAGE area Customer Bathroom broken entire time, the staff at this location was VERY mediocre except Daniel and Michael, a Boss. I was assigned #1986 which has an outside personal lock on it they couldn't have removed asap, the next best location was in #2051 even further away (I have Disabilities from Car accidents so walking too far is torture) but this unit was too small but by this time , this location was closed. The After hours Call center Rep couldn't Reserve a new bigger spot because the store was closed. (What????!!!**""). They never recommended reserving online, either. I found out the next day my own online reservation for a bigger unit wasn't avail in this location because someone else had reserved it for 2 weeks out and it's 1st come, 1st RESERVED. Now these issues had been going on for 3 days and I had to keep my 15' van overnight for 3 extra days to remove my belongings but was never able to fully do it (at this location) so I found another Storage unit (that wasn't a U-Haul) closer to our home. When I went in to turn in my access card and request my-UNUSED but out of the package- Padlock (at the Federal Way, WA store) because I didn't need it anymore, I was accused of not buying the padlock (I proved it was bought on the #1986 unit) but still couldn't return it as it had no packaging. Nor did these 2 guys even CARE that I was leaving for another company. Wait for it, there's more ....the rental of my 15' Van for local for 1 day around town was charged 167 $not the advertised 29,95 $/ day. 40 $was added each day that I couldn't offload my stuff from the Van. I also needed my SUV stored but it's a 4x4 and Customer service tried to rent me a tow dolly that would've damaged my 4x4. I'm not making this stuff up. I've had THE WORST EXPERIENCE AT THIS FEDERAL WAY, WA U-HAUL LOCATION. AVOID IT AT ALL COST!!!!

Our experience was incredibly frustrating. We arrived at 5:20am to pick up our truck. The lock on the truck would not open. We called customer service and were kept on hold until 6:15. At that time the customer service rep was able to reset the lock and we could be on our way. We lost an hour.

Pay attention to details. The check tire pressure system warning light was on. The front seats were covered with dog hair. The front and back floors of van were not that clean. I returned it an hour early, with a full tank of gas, drove it 32 miles, had to wait to get checked in. The bill was 70,00 $. Big mistake on my part. I could have rented a van from Hertz unlimited miles for 49,00 $.

Door access card swipe machines don't work properly. Hot summer made them malfunction. Made night time access hard to get in. We had to pay for a second day truck rental, because it took hours to get in at night. Other than that, it was clean and well maintained.

I got stuck in construction traffic moving across the state so I showed up 13 minutes before closing. The first guy seemed helpful initially but completely apathetic that the movers I booked through Uhaul no-showed me. He gave me a unit that still had a lock on it, so not so helpful after all. I had to go back for a different unit but they had just closed so the guy tried to ignore me. I banged on the door till another guy showed up and found me another 5x10 unit. I was told I wasn't allowed to park my truck rental on site overnight while I figured out how to unload it without movers. …The locked storage unit was still in the system as available the next day so it will happen to the next customer…. I didn't get instructions on how to use the 2 entry keypads but staff seemed annoyed or condescending the next morning when my attempts failed and I asked for help. Turns out the access doors still weren't unlocked an hour and a half after business opened so it wasn't operator error. They only unlocked one set of doors at the unloading zone or the other doors were broken. 2 out of 5 people gave appropriate customer service and basic courtesy. Careless or incompetent staff made a hard move a whole lot harder.

They rented my reserved unit. 10x15 And then gave me two units to equal the same size That was ok but they put me to the very back of the building the walk was equal to at least a football field is not a football field and a half I rejected the unit and got the same full-size unit for less down the street FM

I am very upset. I was under the impression that my move-out date was the end of the month just like when you rent other spaces. I expected that the fee I just paid in advance for the next month would be prorated back in a credit...so that I would only have paid for 3 days of the month. It's totally WRONG for Uhaul to keep more than 100 $for days that are unused. When I tried to talk to the staff about it they said it's just Uhaul policy not to rebate pre-paid fees. I have been a loyal, never-late paying customer for more than 5 years. To be treated unfairly at the end is horrible customer relations.

Security issue: Middle age female on side walk outside the main doors to storage, walked in through the open main entrance doors when others came and went. She was nervously looking around, so I continued to watch her from outside our rental truck. She lifted up one torche' lamp and started to walk away with it. She saw me watching and motioned, "oh, is this yours?". She put it down, came outside and said, "oh, I thought these were free." If I hadn't been standing outside watching her, lamps would have been stolen. I did report it to the office.

My access card didn't work and the next day I had to get another one and it didn't work either. All the staff could say is wait 5-10 then try it.

The staff here are so wonderful. I moved here from Florida. I was tired, over whelmed feeling. They took their time with me and helped me get settled. I hope everyone in Washington is this nice.
