You have a beautiful facility! The only problem I had was that I got locked in the stairwell. I decided to go up the stairs to the third floor because the elevator was full. All of the doors were locked and I had to use the emergency exit.

FIDELE JWhere do I start… After booking my truck and trailer, I get a call letting me know the standard pickup truck was unavailable and they had to switch me to a box truck. This was at no immediate charge, however the significantly lower fuel economy was not welcome. I pick up my truck and immediately notice the drivers sun visor is not attached properly and is just dangling in direct view with nowhere safe to secure it. Just down the road after picking up the truck, I come to a stop and the transmission shifts in a way that makes me think I rear ended the driver in front of me. I've driven hundreds of trucks, even the same exact model 10' truck and the shifts made me think the transmission was going out. The right turn signal bulb on the trailer was not functioning. The tires on the truck were under inflated. On my trip back home, I get a check engine light on the truck. I call roadside assistance and let them know the situation. They say that it "should" be fine. The lady helping me over the phone simply plugged into her system that I wasn't in immediate danger and the light wasn't blinking. I end up uneasy about driving a potentially dangerous vehicle at highway speeds through an area with spotty service. I turn around and head to an auto parts store to get the code checked out. I added 20 miles to my trip (which of course set me over my limit and I will be charged for). Turns out the truck was on 0 % oil life. How I was given a truck in this condition, I have zero clue whatsoever. It would be one thing if it was a simple mechanical issue that would be hard to prevent. But missing an oil change? I am hard pressed to bring myself to deal with Uhaul ever again. The whole situation has left a really bad taste in my mouth and I don't see how putting paying customers in harms way should be supported at all.

MITCHELL B | Expérience généraleGreat staff, but the trailer was awful when it had no load. The violent reactions beat up my car. I've never experienced anything like it. I bought the plug 7 blade adapter, and UHaul (Jake) attached it. I had to drive 140 miles experiencing the awful banging and noise. When I stopped, the adapter was missing. I reported it to UHaul and assumed that Jake had not mounted it correctle. I went to Auto Zone and bought a new one, and now the unit had a full load. It performed correctly, and when I got back to Flagstaff everything was still attached. After emptying, I drove to UHaul to return the trailer. The violent reactions returned for the 10 mile trip, and when I arrived, the adapter was gone due to the vibrations (again). If this is what to expect from that kind of unit, I would not rent one again. I think the unit is damaged, and needs to be repaired before putting back into service.

Kim C | Déménagement en ligneMade a reservation for a 15 foot truck a week in advance for a specific day being it was the only day we had to move. I was told there would be no issue for the size truck I needed and was told it was available for a one way trip. This was for a yearly event on Halloween so I was unavailable the night prior due to set up. I was left a message the night prior to pick up telling me they didn't have the truck and wanted me to drive 63 miles away to get another truck so I would have to pay for an additional 126 miles to return it. This was a one way trip I needed the truck for. I arrived to try and pick up a different size truck only to find out they had a 15 foot but didn't want to give it up for a one way trip. So I had to get that truck, load, move, unload and return the truck then they charged me an additional 14 miles for their inaccurate mile configuration. I have used U-Haul my entire life and have never been treated this way only because of this locations inability to schedule its inventory. It's not the customers issue if another truck doesn't return on time or they don't want to loose a truck to a one way trip. THIS IS WHAT THE REAERVATION WAS FOR. It was a very unpleasant experience and I will definitely not be using the Flagstaff location again, and will be considering using other modes of transportation in the future.
SHAWN MRebekah and her co-workers do not suck. They are professionals. She made an overly complex check-in procedure simple and easy to understand. Also, she was able to switch me to a slightly larger unit without difficulty. Chris was exceptional knowledgeable on towing related vehicle questions and such. And like I mentioned earlier, this team doesn't suck.

Check in was quick, but there was an error that resulted in the truck not actually getting checked in. When I called the next morning after receiving an inaccurate receipt. Shelby worked quickly to get it fixed. I greatly appreciated her professionalism and willingness to get it fixed same day!

MARY MThere was no one in the store when we arrived. I looked around outside for a few minutes and finally found someone. He did not greet me kindly at all, just said I'd have to wait since he was with another customer. He came over after 10 minutes and inspected the vehicle. He said the fuel gauge was less than 1/8 tank short on fuel, and he would have to charge me $24. Seriously? Less than 1/8 tank short and $24 charge? I said that is unfair and I don't plan on renting a U-haul again, to which he replied "well that won't hurt us one bit." I left and filled the tank myself for a few dollars. Terrible customer service.

Kristofer LThe only comment I have to make about this Uhaul location is about the stairwell. For this reason I cannot rate this location as excellent. About 3 months ago, I got locked in the stairwell while trying to access my unit. There was no signage on any of the doors or surrounding areas to inform users that the stairs would be locked and not to use them. At the time of the incident, there was only about 45 minutes left until the office was closing. This was an unacceptable event to occur. Upon returning to Flagstaff after summer to clear out my unit, there was still no signage placed on or near the doorway of the stairs. This is dangerous and unmaintainable while users operate in the building.

SUSAN B | Premières impressionsI specifically told him I was coming in with a 15-ft U-Haul and asked what are the dimensions that I need to unload and was specifically given the wrong information by Johnny when I tried to reserve a unit 4 months ahead of time to prevent the very problem that I run into because Johnny recommended too small of a unit and I couldn't fit all my stuff into it and Rebecca said there was nothing she could do and made me wait in line twice to even answer the fact that there was nothing she could do. This occurred despite the fact that she was aware I had movers waiting that I was paying by the hour to find out if I had to switch last minute to a larger facility that she said was not available.. and she had no apology or empathy in her voice or any kind of courtesy with the fact that I had made arrangements to reserve the right size unit with Johnny four months ahead of time to avoid the very situation that I was unfairly put in over the phone for that morning when I arrived with movers that I was paying. Johnny was even worse that worked for her and gave me absolutely no expression or any kind of response back when I asked him why he put me in the position he put me in. Meaning neither one of them was concerned with the position that they put me in as a customer and I had to fend for myself and find extra storage somewhere else with what I could not fit into the unit.

Daniel L | Expérience généraleI originally tried to reserve a 5x10 unit for my daughter on the uhaul app. I was unable to secure a unit using the app so I called the customer service line. Curtis, the customer service agent, helped me reserve a unit. After speaking with Curtis, I received a text to complete the reservation and was able to pay for the first month's rent. When my daughter went to the storage facility, the attendant could not find the reservation. My daughter told the attendant to look under both her name and my name. The attendant claimed that there was no reservation and said that there were no 5x10 units available. The attendant then told my daughter that she can rent a storage box which my daughter did since she had boxes with her to put into storage. The attendant also told her that she would have to give U-Haul 24 hours notice each time she wants to have access to the box. My daughter then called me to say that there was no reservation. I called U-Haul to express my frustration and disappointment and to request a refund of my money which she agreed to do. As of today, I have not received my refund.

john f | Expérience généraleI reserved a 10x20 storage unit a week or two before we moved to Flag from Los Angeles and even spoke to the manager who let me know that we'd be moving into two 10x10 units since they didn't have a 10x20 - we were completely fine with this. The manager confirmed our two units and we moved on. Once we arrived in Flagstaff to move into our units, the lady helping me at the front desk said they didn't have two 10x10 units available for us, so we had to reserve a 10x15 unit instead and barely fit all our belongings in it. I completely understand things like this happen, I just wish the manager would've have confirmed the units for us unless they were actually going to be there when we arrived. Otherwise, the office staff were helpful and apologetic upon our arrival.
