The lady working inside the store who took our credit card information, driver's license, etc was extremely rude and had a negative attitude. Based off of the experience with her, I would have left a "Poor" rating, but the gentleman who brought the vehicle out for us was extremely nice.

Even though I called and made an appointment to pick up my Ubox it took 50 minutes before someone pulled the Ubox out. I waited in line for 40 minutes and then when it was my turn to be helped the desk agent made me wait till every customer in line behind me was helped before he would pull my box which I feel like should have already been out since I made an appointment. There was a second desk agent to cover the other customers. The agent however was very nice and helpful once he did assist me.

I signed up for the 24/7 shared service so I could pick up at 8am on Sunday and it said I would still have to wait until 9 when the opened. I even confirmed the day prior. This delay caused me to be late for another appointment that I would have otherwise been on time for. Customer service was great once they opened, but the inconvenience made my overall experience poor.

YOU SHOULD INFORM PEOPLE WHEN THEY MAKE A RESERVATION THAT THE VEHICLES HAVE TO BE PICKED UP ON OR THE RESERVATION IS VOID. I RESERVED A TRUCK WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP THE TRUCK, THE TRUCK WAS GONE AND THERE WEREN'T ANY MORE TRUCKS LEFT. I ENDED UP GETTING A CARGO VAN. WHICH MEANT THAT I HAD TO MAKE MORE TRIPS THAN I WOULD HAVE IF I HAD HAD THE TRUCK THAT I HAD RESERVED. IT WAS CHEAPER FOR ME MORE WORK.

I am very disappointed of this service charging i move a mattres from a house to a warehouse Kike 10 minutes distance i rent the truck at 4 pm and returned by 6:30pm top the same day and they charge me $25 cleaning fee? What's that? A leats they shpuld check with me in person the conditions of the truck not just send me the overcharged bill. What's the point of getting cheal rent trucks them?I'll made sure people on sicial.media know about my experience with Uhaul Gardena. I rented before the weren't cleaning fees.

I reserved my 24' truck for a 7am pickup. I arrived at the location at 7am. I was told since I had used the App, I had to stand and wait on the side for someone to process my pickup via the app. While I waited 50 minutes, the personnel behind the counter assisted about 10 people, some that didn't have a reservation. One of the attendants finally felt sorry for me and assisted me thru the pickup location terminal. I wasted an hour, even though I had a reservation. I wouldn't recommend using the APP, until they are able to process pickups in a more efficient and speedy manner.

Ok for starters my 1 start is for my first 2 experiences I had in 1 day. I had a total of 3 experiences in one day and I'll explain why. For starters I requested a auto transport a week in advance as usual. I've used uhal for the last 3 years to transport my show car. So the day came to pick up my auto transport to move my car from one shop to another. I show up to the location and it looks abandoned.i cant find the entrance, my pick up time is 9 and I decide to use the phone number that is on the webpage. Its disconnected. Drove around to see if I can find a door or a sign saying uhal rentals looking for trucks ect. 30 min go by and I'm desperate to get my trailer... I drive off I call the call center for help. Hoping to find another uhaul on the way on my 3 hr drive down south. A man helped me and found a uhal around the location I'm supposed to pick up my car... I show up and guess what they dont have it. But before i hung up with the call center i asked hey make sure they have it he confirmed they had one or i wouldnt have shown up... so when I'm given the news about my transport is nowhere to be found. I ask the employee .. please please find me one I'm begging and desperate at this point.. he found me one.. I arrive to pick up my transport and they have a few.. I was satisfied but after my experience with them failing to help 2 times I was holding my breath untill the auto transport was in my possession.. I'm happy but disappointed.. overall my car got transported and that's all that matters to me but having to jump threw hoops was not my idea of organization. Employees have no real sense of customer service, First employees flat out yelled and said I couldn’t park there as I arrived. Another employee was telling me I couldn’t drop the truck back after 6:30p and if I dropped it off after I would get charged $97 for 2 full days, as I questioned the total amount. I was being charged, a 3rd employee was confronting me, but advised there was a drop off. After few days I still got over charged $29.50 for apparently gas use. I left it 1/2 tank as required. After calling customer service, she advised it was charged in error.

Maybe start by putting windshield wipers on your vans. It started raining and there literally was no way for me to wipe of the windshield. Besides that maybe give me the van with more than an empty tank of gas. It’s annoying to drive straight to the gas station after getting the rental. Lastly at least clean out the trash. There was trash blatantly left everywhere and graffiti all over the inside of the van. By far the worst rental I have ever experienced. Since you asked..

The customer experience was great from beginning to end. A couple of things that should be improved. 1- have more that 1 employee working at the counter. Weekends are going to be the most busiest because of family having time off to move. The wait time was to long just to get my moving truck. 2- when returning the moving truck. There is a sign that shows you where to return the truck but no one there to receive it. I had to go inside and wait a long time again just to give back the keys. There is no communication between the employees and the customer. While I was waiting to return my key. An employee 1 was asking employee 2 about a key. He was going every where and kept asking the other employees about the key. Never once bothered to see if any one of the customers had the key. When it was my turn to return the key. Employee 2 at the counter told the employee 1 that I had the key the whole time. This is terrible customer service. Because there another customer who waited long time for that truck and since no one bothered to ask he lost some time in moving. 3- I did not appreciate the over charge for the extra 20 miles of trip charge that I did not drive and the insurance which I declined and kept insisting that I did not want before I was handed the key. The only reason I am giving this location 4 stars was because of the customer service I received from the employees. The young lady who helped me in the morning was really nice and we have the same birthday. The young man who closed out my order when I returned the key was really understanding and took car of my over charge right away. I will definitely use this location again when ever I move again.

The people outside helping to check in and out the vehicles were very nice and helpful. The person inside the office was borderline rude. When I walked up she was looking at something on a cell phone, then while I'm trying to check out so I can get the rental and go about my business, she was complaining to another employee about having to work on Sundays. She didn't say thank you or anything, she seemed to be bothered that I was there. Not sure if I will rent from this location again.

The 20 foot truck we rented was dirty and had empty beverage bottles everywhere in the front seating area which I had to throw away myself. Dashboard and cup holders were filthy. Should make sure trucks are cleaned out before renting it out. I paid a total of $77.00. The truck should be clean and customer should not have to feel like they are driving in a dirty rental. Customer service was great, friendly staff. I would recommend the place because of friendly service. But due to dirty truck inside seating area, I give it a 2-3 star rating and thus what I was charged was too much for the uncleanliness.

I specifically requested that insurance be added to my contract upon pick up of the truck. I had a fender bender that scratched the paint off a mans vehicle and that is how I discovered the exclusion. I was supposed to receive a text to complete my check in process which I never received I would have noticed the exclusion at that time. Your clerk failed to provide complete service to me

The two men working the yard were so lazy andunhelpful as it they legitimately hate their jobs!!!!! It was unbelievable. The truck was filthy, the tires were low! I won’t ever come here again. They loaded my ubox incorrectly and made it near impossible for me to unload. I contacted them about making this right and they just offered me 1 day off the ubox even though I was already entitled to that free day since the box was already late a day. They also forgot my dolly and I had to run back after they were closed and luckily I was able to catch someone. All in all, it was an incredibly stressful and frustrating situation that they had no concern for even though it was all caused by them.

We rented the open trailer to help a friend bring furniture to Goleta. Just when we started heading home the radiator developed a leak and blew a hose. Angel at the Uhaul on Hollister understood our situation and the need to drop off the trailer in Santa Barbara instead of Gardena. Excellent customer service. Thank you, Uhaul!

I wanted a 17ft truck at a different location and all looked well but after submitting my online application, I was directed to this second (but excellent) location. I used the mobile pick-up/drop off feature and it was very tedious. During drop off, the website wasn't working and it took forever until I could complete it. I thought mobile pick-up was supposed to be more convenient. But it was not. I was also notified my rental time was shortened by 30 minutes. I was informed i would have my rental for 4 hours, until 5:30pm, but when i logged in around 4:45, all of a sudden the time changed to 5pm. Seems like some glitches need to be worked out in this mobile offering.

The guy that handled our reservation was outstanding. When I arrived, there was a ling with at least 5 people. There was two men behind the counter. One guy asked the other one if he wanted Starbucks, and then proceeded to leave. Leaving only 1 person to handle the growing line. I understand breaks are required. However, if there wasn't anyone to step in his place, he should had stayed. I made reservations online, and as I stood in line, I saw a signed that said "to avoid the lines, to reserve online", which I did, but when I asked why do I have to stay in line, I was told I could go online to set up the rental to get the keys, but it wasn't a fast process. When we went outside to get the truck, there was two works moving snail pace. I don't understand why, theres nothing in place, to get the customers served quickly. I really felt sorry for the one guy who was left to handle the not so happy crowd. He was very nice, but I think I will find another location in the future.

My contract was for an open return to any location and I’m sure I didn’t listen to the girls in Goodyear telling me to call in, to be instructed where to return. Instead I drove into Gardena without calling and was immediately told I was at the wrong place, given my contract back and told to call the 800 number. Would have been more welcoming if attendant had offered to help me, instead of not trying. Part of customer service I think.

I rented a truck and 2 storage units and no discount given for mutiple transactions. An elevator for 2nd fl access would be great. Hoping this is something that could be considered going forward.
