DORIAN CWhen we got there the line was long. There should be a back up to help out. Though it didn't take long to get the vehicle when it was my turn. But overall, i was very pleased with the service and rate.

KENNETH FI didn't have access after hours for the first 2 months because the door system was not working properly. This was fixed around mid December so my storage unit was extended longer than anticipated because of this issue. I had to access the unit during business hours which was inconvenient.
Dremika D | Expérience généraleJust keep doing what you guys are doing at the location on Van Ness, workers were upbeat and friendly to be honest, Not to mention they got right to focus in on assisting me with my needs for the U-Haul rental, I recently been pushed back 2 hours by the representative at another location 1450 Artesia Blvd further over in Gardena, who told me that they were barely taking lunch at 1:00 p.m, yet when I went through there at 12:00 p.m. they had just left for lunch at that time. The once again all of the employees at the Van Ness location showed me quality customer service and promptly, which enabled me to achieve the task at hand of moving all that I needed to have done today.

PHILIP CYour staff went above and beyond! I'm so grateful. I was moving from LA to Omaha, NE. They checked in about the supply of car dollys and upgraded me to an auto transport at no extra charge. Pat, Brenda, and the gent at Gardena were so helpful in the process. Thank you!!!

VIJAY NI ordered moving equipment with my truck, but they were not in my truck. I arrived at 7am and the place was closed, I had to wait until 9am to get the equipment I needed.

RAKENNA LEmployees were helpful, the whole online process terrible. Paid for a unit that was taken and being used, it was one of the bigger units and I had to get one half the size for higher price or Terminate my contract. Highly recommend going in and not online orders.

It took over 2 hours for Ford to replace the tire which delayed my ability to ensure a timely arrival for my clients. Very disappointed in the lack of vehicle inspection and ensuring the vehicles are up to code.

WAYNE JExperience an hour to obtain the rental due to doing so online. Several steps where difficult to understand at first. You need to explain the pictures of the vehicle are foggy since I tried to take several pictures of the sides and almost gave up since it did say it was mandatory. I was really flustrated, but my next visit I will do this with much more awareness. PS I consider myself very computer/phone literate and actually think the app with some additional help and experience from first time users will benefit from it - not to mention streamline your process.

ANTONIO CThe van I used pulled to the right, the left headlight was out, and the milage calculated by the vehicle was wrong because it counted more miles than I actually traveled. Otherwise, the vehicle operated fine, and the staff was very friendly.

AUDIAS NI ordered a truck to be picked up at 6:30am through the app but the store didn't make it available so I had to wait until 9am when the store opened, losing 2,5 hours of moving time. When I finally got my truck, it was blocked by another truck and there was 0 miles of fuel in the truck. When I dropped off the truck, the app tried to charge me for fuel even though I had put more fuel in the truck than I had started with. Horrible experience all around.

DEREK HWhen a pickup truck is needed and is selected Online, from a location that doesn't have pickup trucks, that should be stated at the time of pickup. Not after the paperwork has been completed and the credit card has been run.

KELLY HI hated the service at this store! First of all!! I went to pick up the car at 6:00 am as scheduled on my schedule. The truck had a padlock on the trunk door! There was no key and the store was closed to help. I was on schedule because I had to finish the move by 10 am. I had to pay an extra $40 for the helpers and bought padlock breaker pliers for $70. I called support and the very kind employee Amanda tried to help me as much as she could. Unlike the employee Jaycee R who was super stupid and refused to listen to me regarding the padlock. I had to speak to him in another way! He was more rude to him. I am waiting for my invoice to find out if you charged me for the padlock. I will notify the responsible agencies for this inconvenience. Carlos Rafael Oliveira.
Rafael RThe only problem was that the U-Haul app wouldn't load to document the condition of the truck. If U-Haul wants to force us to use its app, U-Haul should make sure it works. The employees were very good. The U-Haul support in the form of the app was not.
STEVEN WThe truck was dirty on the outside dusty. Inside a little bit, and it smelled real funky. The windows was dirty inside cause I used the window shell wipers, and it was still dirty. I put way too much gas in there. Because I don't know how they work. So basically, you all got over on me this time. I still would use you haul again, though. I did notice that the location on Vermont had cleaner trucks and they smelled good because I had to go over there and remove some storage. That's why I know

Their equipment didn't function as intended nearly thwarting my moving timeline. The staff at Nashville went above and beyond! The staff at Gardena were exceptionally helpful as well. Using U-Haul was like having a very competent team with me along the entire moving process. I didn't feel that with Budget. It seemed like I was given equipment but safety checks like U-Haul does were non-existent. That and the three calls to get the credit card charge reversed, have reminded me to never look elsewhere for moving needs. U-Haul is definitely the one stop shop I'll recommend.

He canceled the second floor unit which I had to climb stairs to get to (elevator needed at this facility). I really appreciate the extra mile the staff to to assist me in my storage needs. This was my first storage experience and I would definitely recommend this location to everyone in need of a unit.

The cashier charged my card before telling me the total of my cost!! The staff whispered to the manager "Does she know the mileage came to $200?" The manager said to him, "she should." Not once speaking to me to confirm they charged me $890! I'm so disgusted by the staff and manager at Gardena, I would never recommend anyone or return for service! I hope this email goes to the upper management; because you have very bad customer service, neglected to inform me of the total charges, and basically charged my card before I could confirm the card to use. I will be calling the corporate offices.

Janae H | Expérience généraleVery poor customer service was trying to get a storage unit and both units was occupied and when staff was trying to contact the manager his phone e was going to voice-mail and never returned phone calls the two young men's that was there was so helpful the young lady that was there was not helpful at all I was there for three hours and still didn't get storage that is why my move in and out date is the same because both units was occupied with locks on them when they was showing available and was not so they don't know their inventory and it is a inconvenience to customers I would never recommend or use this location because of poor customer service

So we had to go rent a space at Public Storage, whose rates were a LOT less for a better space and they do have elevators, as well as flat bed carts and Dollie's. I will NEVER rent a storage space from U-Haul again after this fiasco! By the way, the staff at the Gardena facility was snotty with me on the phone and when my son got there he realized this was the same facility that he had trouble with before and sent a complaint to corporate about years ago. Obviously nothing was done to correct the problem.

Talmadd T | Expérience généraleThe complaint is not with the facility that provided the Storage Unit... My complaint is with the U-HAUL scheduling & reservation system... It all was an "inconvenient mess"..! I had to call several times... The pick up facility for the truck rental was un-able to be contacted due to a disconnected phone number... I called the day before my pick up to affirm my reservation and re-assess my contractual agreement... I spoke to several agents in the "Transportation Center" several times the morning of the pick up and got another disconnected number... My CC was charged $30 more than what I was quoted over the phone by the reservation agent despite a very intentionally adamant conversation with the agent regarding that specific issue (i.e. Amount due at pick up). The person who did the contract at the facility for the pick up (a young lady) never asked for my signature and just did everything for my pick up of the truck on her phone... And, upon arrival to the storage facility the unit that I was quoted was not available when I got to the storage facility so I had to accept a different unit (a more expensive one). Throughout this entire experience I was making several phone calls to the "Transportation Center" and then the "Customer Service Center" and practically every time these calls were put on long "wait-time holds" and when finally connected to a live person the calls were disconnected..! This entire experience should be easily documented & confirmed as it is noted in all of these calls that you (i.e. U-HAUL) record these phone calls... I am truly displeased with this experience and I tried calling your "Customer Service" several times the following day to submit this grievance but just as during this experience, I was unable to speak with any of your agents... I am in a profession that is compelled to be diligent in customer service in order to perpetuate the further continuance of repeat & referral business so this was an appalling experience for me as this kind of "ball dropping" would be totally unacceptable..! I would appreciate it if someone would reach out to me in an effort to rectify this matter.

When I got the the facility it was all different the lady at the storage said she did not see the reservation in the system and the lady was very rude. The storage facility does not have a elevator so I have to carry all my items up the stairs. What is up with this? I am happy I got the one month free but it really was a ordeal that I did not want to deal with. I would think twice about going to this storage facility again it was to much work .

When I asked for an alternate either at this location or another in the area I was told there was nothing. This left me up sh*t creek with out a paddle because I had a full UHaul truck to unload and nowhere to unload it and the staff was incredibly unhelpful at trying to correct the problem of their making.

When I arrived they did not have that unit and gave me one much smaller, not climate controlled and second floor. The second floor access is a staircase!!! What type of storage facility has stairs to haul all storage items up and down from…most ridiculous thing ever!! The lady charged me the same price of the unit I had originally reserved…terrible!!

Christina C | Expérience généraleThe size of the unit turned out to be too small, a bigger unit was available however, the owner, Donnis, wasn't willing to swap out units. He wanted me to rent the other unit out as well. I don't need 2 units. He then proceeded to walk away and just left his staff member standing there not knowing what to do, so then he walks away. He was more concerned with counting his boxes and seeing how many pallets they had to restock. Just left us standing at the counter. The sad part about this is that my husband is disabled and was there with me. He uses a wheelchair and a cane to get around. He is unable to help me in moving. And financially we can't afford movers. So I was doing this alone. There was NO compassion from this person at ALL. I will NEVER rent a storage there again. I only had the unit for a day or two and left. Didn't even use it really. It also had a hole in the door. So people could see what your storing. I had to keep the Uhaul truck rental again and found a storage at different storage company. I will say his staff had more compassion and kindness then he did. They were awesome. But they could only do so much but say I'm sorry.
