This location has very nice people working, from the reservation being made there to the drop off attendant. Very smooth transaction. I'm also on oxygen and with the truck having a cigarette lighter I was able to stay charged up throughout my travels. Merci.

I ordered the same thing I got at another dealer on Rosecrans and I only paid $44 why was I charged $116 for the same service? I don't understand why I was charged $60 more and I will be filing a complaint or calling in to corporate to see if I can get this charge reduced cuz this is ridiculous I rented a truck for one day I'm supposed to be $20 for that I paid $20 for the insurance I return the truck the next morning before they opened which is what I did at the other place and I was charged $116 and it doesn't make sense I would love to get the difference in a refund.

This is just a suggestion, it seems that when you call on the weekends, you get put on hold and stay on hold. There should be someone there to only answer calls, this would allow the other Reps to get the line moving faster. I stood in a long line and the phone would not stop ringing. The Reps are very nice, and give good service but customers shouldn't have to call 3 and four times (like I did) only to be told “Please hold” and no one ever comes back on the line, other than that your staff was great!

I noticed that a lady when she managed every steps goes slower than normal. Check out the 10' truck took from 5:30 _ 7:30 pm , it was 8 trucks before. - should be some estimate for cleaning .

Uhaul charges you when you drop off their truck with less gas than when you rent it. However, it will not reimburse you when you drop off the truck with more gas. This policy cost me about $200 in gas overages. This is an unfair practice. I hope the company changes their policy or gets fined for their unfair practices. More importantly, this information should have been disclosed upfront so that their consumers will know to be exact with their gas tanks.

I waited an hour in the location for the rental that I reserved to be checked back in from a previous rental. It delayed my day but I was finally able to get my reservation fulfilled.

I rented a unit to tow behind the U-haul truck. I arrived a little early and went across the street. When I returned they had the trailer ready and actually when I arrived. The sales clerk had poor short sentences so misunderstood. Then when I went over to get the trailer that man couldn't even concentrate long enough to do his job. Several times I saw him, he seemed to lose concentration and get excited over nothing. I went to look for him in his shop he was occupied on his cell phone. Once I saw him go in the opposite direction with a lady. The person he helped before me was stuck and he didn't bother to return to help. He asked me to back up into a trailer hitch which now I have a dent in my car!! Not to mention some of the desk clerks took off. Leaving one man on position to help a at least a 10 person line. One customer told me he had been there before. The line is always long, it's a wonder the place isn't well supervised! For myself I would like damages paid for the inatentive man who asked me to back up into a trailer hitch and then denied it. That shop needs to replace or move people because they have a gig going on there all it's own. Very poor quality.

I made a mistake and put $84 gas in the van and was told oops too bad you can't get your money back bcoz its your fault who does that? If I have to call corporate office so be it but that's unfair and am very distraught at the present moment

I returned a trailer one day early and was a little confusing for yard guy to understand and return credit for early return. But the only real complaint I could make is not enough counter persons so long wait in line waiting to be helped. Overall I wish other customer services were as pleasant. I will continue to business with this store for all my hauling and packing needs.

U Haul attendant somehow Mixed my contract with another person and i am being overcharged by 03003 miles more than i actually drove creating stress and uncertainty and i am not sure if i will be renting with U Haul in the future. Very poor customer service was trying to get a storage unit and both units was occupied and when staff was trying to contact the manager his phone e was going to voice-mail and never returned phone calls the two young men's that was there was so helpful the young lady that was there was not helpful at all I was there for three hours and still didn't get storage that is why my move in and out date is the same because both units was occupied with locks on them when they was showing available and was not so they don't know their inventory and it is a inconvenience to customers I would never recommend or use this location because of poor customer service

I was told the facility had an elevator and it didn't. And the assigned space was in the attic. So we had to go rent a space at Public Storage, whose rates were a LOT less for a better space and they do have elevators, as well as flat bed carts and Dollie's. I will NEVER rent a storage space from U-Haul again after this fiasco! By the way, the staff at the Gardena facility was snotty with me on the phone and when my son got there he realized this was the same facility that he had trouble with before and sent a complaint to corporate about years ago. Obviously nothing was done to correct the problem.

Though the site was clean, my unit looks like a work in progress. But I'm grateful for it & I haven't seen any creepy crawlers, so its all good. I've only had one lackluster experience, all the rest have been great (in person & over the phone).

The complaint is not with the facility that provided the Storage Unit... My complaint is with the U-HAUL scheduling & reservation system... It all was an "inconvenient mess"..! I had to call several times... The pick up facility for the truck rental was un-able to be contacted due to a disconnected phone number... I called the day before my pick up to affirm my reservation and re-assess my contractual agreement... I spoke to several agents in the "Transportation Center" several times the morning of the pick up and got another disconnected number... My CC was charged $30 more than what I was quoted over the phone by the reservation agent despite a very intentionally adamant conversation with the agent regarding that specific issue (i.e. Amount due at pick up). The person who did the contract at the facility for the pick up (a young lady) never asked for my signature and just did everything for my pick up of the truck on her phone... And, upon arrival to the storage facility the unit that I was quoted was not available when I got to the storage facility so I had to accept a different unit (a more expensive one). Throughout this entire experience I was making several phone calls to the "Transportation Center" and then the "Customer Service Center" and practically every time these calls were put on long "wait-time holds" and when finally connected to a live person the calls were disconnected..! This entire experience should be easily documented & confirmed as it is noted in all of these calls that you (i.e. U-HAUL) record these phone calls... I am truly displeased with this experience and I tried calling your "Customer Service" several times the following day to submit this grievance but just as during this experience, I was unable to speak with any of your agents... I am in a profession that is compelled to be diligent in customer service in order to perpetuate the further continuance of repeat & referral business so this was an appalling experience for me as this kind of "ball dropping" would be totally unacceptable..! I would appreciate it if someone would reach out to me in an effort to rectify this matter.

I call in to schedule a storage unit and had it reserved the person had it scheduled and took my credit card. She scheduled it for the first floor and a larger unit. When I got the the facility it was all different the lady at the storage said she did not see the reservation in the system and the lady was very rude. The storage facility does not have a elevator so I have to carry all my items up the stairs. What is up with this? I am happy I got the one month free but it really was a ordeal that I did not want to deal with. I would think twice about going to this storage facility again it was to much work .

The facility was well lit and I felt secure there, but the lock on our door was loose. The staff was less than helpful and we were happy to have another option for our storage needs, so that we didn't have to use that UHaul storage facility.

I reserved a storage locker, but they had already rented it to someone else. When I asked for an alternate either at this location or another in the area I was told there was nothing. This left me up sh*t creek with out a paddle because I had a full UHaul truck to unload and nowhere to unload it and the staff was incredibly unhelpful at trying to correct the problem of their making.

I had a reservation for a climate control storage unit of a specific size and bottom floor. When I arrived they did not have that unit and gave me one much smaller, not climate controlled and second floor. The second floor access is a staircase!!! What type of storage facility has stairs to haul all storage items up and down from…most ridiculous thing ever!! The lady charged me the same price of the unit I had originally reserved…terrible!!

The size of the unit turned out to be too small, a bigger unit was available however, the owner, Donnis, wasn't willing to swap out units. He wanted me to rent the other unit out as well. I don't need 2 units. He then proceeded to walk away and just left his staff member standing there not knowing what to do, so then he walks away. He was more concerned with counting his boxes and seeing how many pallets they had to restock. Just left us standing at the counter. The sad part about this is that my husband is disabled and was there with me. He uses a wheelchair and a cane to get around. He is unable to help me in moving. And financially we can't afford movers. So I was doing this alone. There was NO compassion from this person at ALL. I will NEVER rent a storage there again. I only had the unit for a day or two and left. Didn't even use it really. It also had a hole in the door. So people could see what your storing. I had to keep the Uhaul truck rental again and found a storage at different storage company. I will say his staff had more compassion and kindness then he did. They were awesome. But they could only do so much but say I'm sorry.

Needs lights in storage rooms

First, I wish the individual storage spaces be lighted. Storage spaces do not have lights inside and it is Very difficult to find things or move around inside the storage spaces. There should be an automatic lighting installed inside of each storage space that turns on and off by itself. Every time I, I visit my storage, I hated to be inside the dark space. The ceiling is also low, so I have to stoop around the whole time I'm in there. I am a woman of average height, by the way. Second, I wish the U-Haul employees are better trained. Many of them I have dealt with so far have Very incompetent work skills. On Sunday, 03/14/2021, a female agent who was helping me on the phone was very incompetent. And on Monday, 04/15/2021 a male agent at the Gardena, CA location office was also not trained properly. The female agent did not know how to properly cancel my contract with U-Haul. I had to call twice to make sure my cancellation was processed correctly. On the second phone call, an agent named Joseph verified that my cancellation did not take place with the previous female agent. Joseph helped me to complete the cancellation in the system. The first female agent was NOT professional: Not only she did not do the job correctly, her manner on the phone was very rude, telling me to take the speaker-phone mode off so that she can hear me. I was driving , so I had to use the speaker phone. Anyway, I pulled over and spoke with her without using the speaker phone. Also, she called me "Honey". Somehow her calling me honey did not feel appropriate to me. I wish she called me by my name, and not "Honey". She was also fumbling on the phone a lot while talking to me on the phone. At the end of a rather hasty "help" provided by her, i tried to ask her name. Well, She hung up right away! That's when I got suspicious wherher my request was performed correctly. I got this hunch that she might not have done the cancellation job correct. I immediately called back. Sure enough, the second agent named Joseph confirmed that my storage contract termination did not take effect at all. Nothing was done for it, he said. Joseph was very professional though. He apologized for the first female agent's mistake. What a waste of my time. Also when I try to return the key at the Gardena location, the agent made a mistake in the return-key process. I had to ask his coworker sitting next to him at the counter to double-check. Surely, the key was not returned in the system. If a coworker had to help out in order to make sure a simple key-return was done correctly in the system, then I am not sure whether U-Haul employees are trained properly. My experience with U-Haul with the phone agents and the local office agents have been very unsatisfactory. I would NOT hesitate to recommend some other storage businesses to others. I am sorry but, hope my feedback is helpful for other consumers/customers down the road with U-Haul. Thank you for your time! Sandra Kim

It took an hour to get checked in to my storage even though I had an online reservation. The computer was too slow and then the access code did not work. Please improve the efficiency of the check in process. Thank you The manager was really nice and accommodating.
