The manager Bryan was was unreasonable. When I returned the vehicle, the computers were down and I could not be checked out. The vehicle was returned with 9/16 of a tank of gas like received. I took a photo of the fuel gauge and mileage when I dropped it off at 4pm on 9/18. The next day I was charged for additional fuel claiming I returned it with 1/2 tank. I called the store and was told by the manager that I had to drive back to the location so he could see the photo. I live 20 minutes from the store and offered to email or text the photo. He demanded that I return and I told him this was unreasonable request as I could send it. He was repetitive in saying over and over you have to drive back to the store in person. This was an unreasonable request over $11.50. I would have spent almost that in fuel driving back and to show proof. It's not my fault your system was down on drop off and this was not originally gone over while I was already there. I was forced to hang up and call customer service where the person who helped me was understanding and processed a refund for the $11.50. The Greenwood store manager is way out of line and refused to resolve the issue without inconveniencing me further. Refusing to let me email him the photo to prove I returned the vehicle with the correct amount of fuel is ridiculous and trying to rip me off on top of it. Nick Turturro

His shirt was wrinkled, he was unprofessional and he kept loudly burping while helping us with our transaction. ON a good note, we had an issue with our return because the initial rental location made an error on our agreement. He did rectify the issue and made it right.

One of the most important things are to actually inspect the truck before renting it out: A: The air conditioner did not work. B:there was a bolt in drivers side front tire.C:the truck "shimmed " and "shaked" that's the only way I know how to express what I mean. D:last but not least is that your associates should know what the other one said and agreed to. E: Your associates to write down, and actually read what the other's had agreed too.....

William S.We had problems with the systems on the truck with ABS , lost cruise control, hill assist, and skid control numerous times on our trip causing long delays and hard braking. We told the person working and asked for a discount off our rental because of this but was told they could not do that and to come back on Monday or to call u haul. We will call but feel this should have been taken care of in store.

deontae D.Have rented and dropped off at this location and had great results before. All other interactions were with the store manager who is great and personable. The staff this time was average except around the trailer hitch. For some reason i had to wait for the employee to get a call from their assistant manager at 8:00 am before dropping and then i was called a few hours later to say that the trailer installer quit. No other option was given besides we are refunding you. I work in customer service and would expect more options ie. first attempt to find someone else to install the hitch or schedule back for another day. Looking at the website now it still shows you can book a trailer hitch install so would expect some additional disappointed customers.
Matt W.About a yr ago I had 2 storage units and stopped use of 1 . Instead of just stoping the charge for the 1 unit I vacated, my entire "contract" was effectively cancled and a new one put inplace charging me the new 1 unit price. The man I dealt with was totally rude and unresponsive to my complaint. The staff I've dealt with since then have been courteous and respectful.

The second time I got a uhaul the girl in there picking up and delivering was rude and lazy.. Didn't explain nothing nor took me to truck. She told me to keep clicking the alarm until I c flashing lights. The man had brought me my truck around first time I got a uhaul. Then when I returned the truck I was in line and she was like just give me the key and I was done. She didn't even inspect truck or anything.

Saying that she'll email me my receipt. Ok disappointed because I just came up there last week and didn't have this issue with the other lady. And I have a pic to prove it!!

PATRICIA R.I had to go to the main U-Haul location, and Greenwood SC AS the cultured cowboy was not open two days in a row. The main branch was excellent the culture cowboy not so much.
Jim B.I rented a cargo van on Friday and went to pick it up on Saturday. Check in went well until I walked out to the truck. First, the staff gave me the wrong key. So I went back to the office an a staff member went to the correct van and brought it to me. Second, she stated that the "low tire pressure" warning light had been on but maintenance had put air in it and was good to go for the 70 mile highway trip. On the return trip home, I stopped halfway to get gas for the rental return. The low tire pressure light was on so I checked it. The right front passenger tire should have had 60 psi but only had 35 psi. Evidently, the maintenance staff did not attempt to find the cause of the leak, they just pumped up the tire and sent it on its way. They made dangerous decision.

Both office personnel and janitorial staff made me feel unwelcome and disrespected. For the insane price they charged, beyond dissatisfying customer service in several instances and ignorance towards me being in their facility after almost an entire year of committed rental and furthermore with my service animal, I will never use this facility again. Where is quality control when you need it? I do not recommend uhaul in Greenwood. Someone should also remind employees of the basic legalities of interrogation of an individual with a service animal. Be wary.

The workers seemed high or drunk, I had to ask them to repeat themselves several times because they were mumbling. Apparently they also did not set up auto pay for me when THEY STORED MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, so my unit was locked and I had to pay a late fee the next month. There is always trash everywhere.

They did not close out my rental for over a month, so I got continued billing and threats against my credit right at Christmas 2021. This became an ordeal to resolve. If you rent, then get it in writing that you are cleared. Then confirm it to corporate, and get them to send a conformation email. Don't believe it when you are told it will be handled, and don't trust that the local branch communicates with corporate, or vice versa.

Robert W. | Expérience généraleThe building is nice. Can never reach anyone on the phone. When you get there in person you have to wait 20-30 minutes for someone to show up to the desk. Had ordered a smaller unit but when I arrived they told me it wasn't availble and that there was 4 always in the system for some reason. So i had to pay more for a bigger unit. Also then found out it wasn't 24 hour access UNLESS YOU PAY $10 extra a month for it. I've been moved out of there since the end of September and I am still receiving "payment past due" letters from them even though I told them I was moving out 2 weeks before my payment due date. The entry system is ridiculous. You have to go to one side of the door and swipe the card (usually more than once because it was always acting up) to log into the system then go to the other side of the door where you have to swipe your card again and input a code. Then the automatic sliding door will open. But god forbid you are in the process of going in and out at 7pm. The system relocks and you have to do the process over and over until it let's you back in. Hands down the worst storage facility I have used and it's not the people working there. It's the fact that it is a quasi corporate owned facility. That sunk millions of dollars into renovating the space and now the franchise is indebted to them to the point where corporate dictates their labor budget because they pay so much to "headquarters". I have never seen more than 1 person on duty at a time. With that being said; it being such a large facility and depending on what is going on that day, it is almost impossible to get help at the desk or on the phones. I literally called everyday for 3 or 4 hours for at least 3 weeks and never got someone at the place. Not even corporate answered the phones. A month or so after I moved in my online username and password stopped working, and I couldnt recieve the 'reset password' emails. The whole experience put a bad taste in my mouth and will be very cautious in the future looking and using uhaul owned facilities.

We got there by 6:43pm and the girl was not there 100 %. She was more concerned about getting off work. The card didn't work 3 times. The storage Unit was not reserved like they said it would be. Had I not went up to her in her car she would have driven off without making sure the customers need was tended to. The building wouldn't allow us in after authorizing three separate cards. Not sure if she was incompetent or if her manager should be more aware that more training should be done before they leave her alone to tend to customers. Now I get the bill and they charged me for an extra day??? Not at all happy. We had to now use three separate units because our original supposed reservation was not reserved. Why can't all uhaul / storage places talk openly and know what the right had is telling the left hand? There was no communication whatsoever! Talk about someone putting all their care into a companies hands and now I feel like we made a huge mistake because everything seemed like nobody at uhaul cared!! You added stress to my life and I'm so angry about it!
