We had reserved our truck for 6:00 AM. They called the day before our move and told us we could not have it until noon. That will cause us not to use U-Haul again. That really impacted a lot of different things - having to get a hotel because we could not pack in the time frame needed. Moving around people we hired to help us move. When we spoke to the service desk, we were told that the equipment could not be guaranteed. When you reserve a month in advance, you should be able to guarantee the equipment.Joseph C.

Great Location! However, it's the U-haul system that needs work. Had a confirmed truck nearby and MOVING DAY they call to say the nearest one is now 45 minutes away. Plus they charged for the extra truck mileage despite promising to the contrary. NOT using U-haul again!Greg B.

Check equipment and make sure it's in working order before it's rented out. We took our 26 ft truck and loaded it full and when we hooked up our auto transport the lights wouldn't work. After trouble shooting it was decided that it was the truck, not the trailer that was the problem. This delayed our transport due to only being able to drive during daylight hours. This was not even where I was supposed to pick my equipment up in the first place but since there was no one at the first place when we arrived to pick up, our pick up location had to be changed which also delayed our packing and plans for transport across the country. Your website stinks! When I booked this trailer, I entered one location but the website changed it to another location without really making it crystal clear that it was a DIFFERENT location. This is NOT the first time this has happened. If you asked me about my experience at the first location (9050 NW Prairie View Rd, Tiffany Springs, MO), I would tell you it sucked! The kid behind the counter was inarticulate and mumbled his responses. He had to get his manager who was one of the rudest customer service people with whom I've ever interacted.James H.
It was just a hot mess. The power was out, the equipment that we reserved wasn't available, but the attendant we worked with was awesome. Black gentleman from Louisiana did everything in his power to get us taken care of regardless of the circumstances.Catherine M.

Our reservation was changed so many times, and when I tried to get it back to something closer to what we needed, I completely lost the truck we wanted. We didn't get the original truck we wanted; instead of 26 ft we got 15 ft. Instead of 8 am pick-up and having our full time, we didn't get the truck until 12:30, and they still made us have the truck back at 7. I would get confirmation for the reservation, then later get a call changing all of it. It got changed from 8 am, to 2 pm, to 11 am (with a much smaller truck), to noon. When my husband went to pick it up at noon, they didn't have it. They finally let us have another 15 ft truck that was supposed to be for someone else, but only on the condition that we would have it back at 7 for the next people to use. We got to use the truck for less than 6 hours. They still made us pay full price, though.JONATHON E.

The pull inside- unload doors at rear of building should be accessible after-hours, in case people can't arrive during normal operating hours. We saw no difference in front versus back, except for ability to pull completely inside in the back. I paid my storage fees thru autopay on 6/28 moved out this weekend on July 4 when I went to close my account they said I would still be charged for the entire month that is unacceptable for you to charge after I move out and not refund any of my 115 dollars for the month of July Especially since I only used it for 4 days and you are okay keeping my $ and renting it to someone else and make double the money!! When I picked up the equipment for one-way I was told I could drop it off anywhere after getting to my destination which turned out to be a lie. After that I turned in the equipment 12 days early. I was told I will not and cannot be reimbursed for all the extra days that I paid for. I understand the 5 day flare rate fee for the trailer but I paid for up to 35 more days. The lady on the phone that I talked to told me it was because we prevented other families from being able to rent it and that's why we I would not be reimbursed. However turning it in early does help them. This is bad business practice and was not even built in the contract. If that's the case then it should be put in the contract. It seems they make you turn it in late with extra fees or if you turn it in early you are still screwed.Anthony E.

They were going to charge a wrongful location drop off. When we picked up the uhaul they put it down as unsure so we had to wait for them to correct the problem. Although the fees are outrages. There is nothing I can think of. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to walk in get what I needed and be on my way. The only minor thing is the truck was not located were it was listed in the computer, it was on the other side of the parking lot but that only took a minute to figure out so no big deal.James M.

Navigation through the online process had hiccups, it kept pulling out of my bank account then crediting then debiting about 3 or 4 times. It didn't give me the place to put the code for the free storage. I had to get a refund in person, which was great. Overall, I was happy with the move. Would highly recommend this location when renting from U-Haul. They seem to have most everything. They were also friendly and when I was having a lot of problems changing out my ball on my hitch, they let me borrow one. Was really nice to see it not always be about the money. I was extremely upset with UHaul and its terrible customer service. I used the website to book my reservation. I booked a 17' truck with mileage at 0,79 cents per mile. After I clicked confirm, my reservation changed to 1,09 $ per mile. Then after having my confirmation, I was told that Uhaul does NOT have 17' trucks so I had to take a 20' for a higher daily rate. Bait and switch tactics like this should be illegal.Daniel W.
Ensure the vehicle scheduled for pickup outside business hours is the right one and the keys are actually in the key box for pickup. Although Uhaul reduced charges for the rental, it put us two hours behind our schedule and caused a ripple effect with our other timelines.David M.

In the beginning (when trying to secure business) the staff, manager Teresa was very informative and nice. Toward the end, and/or when trying to secure a different space, I was told corporate held spaces, nor would they communicate timely, which cost me an additional 39,95 $ (month storage)by being a day outside of the grace period and there was no pro rate as per one of the representatives. When trying to rent a trailer, another representative was pushing a lot of buttons and not communicating what was being done, states that my information is not in the system (sounds fraudulent and indicative of mischievous activities). You're in a customer service roll, you deal with customers, you have to talk to people, have them understand what you're doing... You are the face of uHaul. Our 10x20 storage unit was not 10x20, rather two 10x10 units. This was not disclosed anywhere. One of the first units we were assigned had a pole going right through the middle of the unit, taking up space and usefulness. Pricing on our map of units was inaccurate (according to the worker.) We were able to exchange units but the set up was far less than ideal for moving a 26 ft Uhaul worth of items to storage. Very narrow hallways & one 10x10 unit had a large roll open door, while the other 10x10 unit had a much smaller walk through door making it very difficult to maneuver large items.Sara H. | Premières impressions

I had a great experience in the store. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of the members spent a good amount of time trying to resolve an issue higher ups in the company had made. Ridiculous that I reserved a unit and the store was unable to get me that unit because of flaws in the Uhaul system. Now, I had a truck full of stuff. So I had to spend more money to get a unit size I didn't make the reservation for! Like that's not my issue y'all messed up! Big props to Ali who was working at the time.
