Showed up to pickup my uhaul and all the extras I reserved. Only to learn only the truck was available and none of the dolleys or other things were even at the store. Employee proceeded to tell me I was â€œout of luckâ€ and nothing he could do. After repeatedly asking he finally called another store. Talked to another employee that wasn't even working at the time. Was told I could go to that location to pick up the things I needed. Halfway to the store I find out that store is actually closed for the day and while talking to an employee at the store was hung up on. Turned around and went back to the original store to find out that the location I was sent to had been closed all day and he sent me there knowingly. To top it off they had some of the items I needed at the original store I was at to pickup my rental not even 30 minutes prior. Horrible experience and next move I will find other ways instead of renting from uhaul.Ryan E.

Equipment needs to be available once reserved. Then if the equipment was not available you need to follow through actually reschedule the reservation. Then last but certainly not least when you give your email address and they have emailed you then whenever they're supposed to give you the receipt they claim they don't have your email. This level of incompetence is totally inexcusable. I should have received a discount for all the problems incurred by U-Haul of course I got none. Horrible experience and the first time in over 40 years that I have dealt with you all I most likely will never use U-Haul again.tyler S.

I set up my pick-up location 3 miles from my home. When I got there, I proceeded to pick up my 15' truck when I was told the pick-up was moved to another location. Why did this happen? There was a 15' truck waiting there and yet I had to drive several miles out of my way to another location.ROBERT H.
Everything was great until trying to return the truck after hours, had constant problems with return process on the website having to restart multiple times on 2 different phones. Selected several different dollies and reserved online. When picking up the truck, no dollies were available with no notice provided. This Left us in quite a difficult situation with a 26 foot uhaul to fill with no dollies and movers coming to load within the hour. Very rude manager on call during equipment return, he did not want to take any responsibility for their mistake. On pickup I had store credit from previous return that they told me would be applied when returning equipment, because they were not able to process at the time. They took my credit receipt and told me it would be credited upon return of equipment. Manager said there was nothing on file and would not call the employee or manager who were involved at time of pickup. Instead he told me to call an 800 number for something that the store was entirely responsible for. My previous dealing with this store was also a disappointment. I don't know what it is with this Uhaul location, but I have never had any problems at other locations before.BJORN H.

Having people who are not very used to backing up trailers try to put the trailer into a specific spot takes some patience ;) The guy who helped me was very patient. BUT... there was a guy who wanted to move a truck parked in front of me. He was NOT patient.Matthew C.

I reserved a 20' truck, but it wasn't there when I arrived. The website promised that if my truck wasn't there that I would be credited 50 $. However, they had a smaller truck (17') so because they could accommodate me, they wouldn't give me the 50 $. This is like showing up at the airport and Delta telling you they sold your seat, but they got you a ticket on a Greyhound. Having a shorter truck forced me to make more trips which allowed them to charge me more mileage. I had also reserved an appliance dolly which they didn't have. I was forced to rent one from Home Depot which was 15 $more than Uhaul was charging plus the mileage to drive over to get it. Why they don't have 5 or 6 appliance dollies at every location is beyond me. They also tried to tell me the tank was 7/8 full when I received the truck but when I went out to check it, it was below 3/4. I immediately disputed this via the app and was not charged when I brought it back at 3/4.Nathaniel K.

I got a text the night before my move at 6:45 PM that my pickup location was moved 30 minutes away and scheduled for 12 PM rather than 8 AM (this was one of the guaranteed availability pickups). I called the number at 6:45 PM (corporate I am guessing?), waited for 10 minutes and the guy told me I would have to call the local location that it was switched to and he transferred the call. Call went through at 7:06 and that location closed at 7:00 PM. Went to this location at 9 AM the next day and the line was so long that I did not get the truck until 10:45 AM. The guys working were very kind and I think they all deserve huge pay raises. No workers should be put in this situation but they handled it with grace and patience. However, the truck I requested wasn't even available for pickup and we had to get a smaller truck size.KATHERINE L.

Make sure you have trucks available when customer reserve them online. This is a big inconvenience to customer when they show up to pick the truck. Your employees have to call around to locate another truck and the customer has to travel to a different location to pick up the truck. Poor customer service. Fortunately a truck was returned while your employee was attempting to locate another truck. Over booking trucks is a very bad ideal for customers that really need moving trucks the day the reserve them.Jeffrey J.

Gentleman employee started my reservation pick up by saying "the location didn't have my rental...just kidding. No really we don't have it... actually you got the last one." Then he tells me that I have a truck but no furniture dollies. I played along but he was acting like a jerk. Why does the website allow you to reserve them if there aren't any available? The employee said they hadn't had any for awhile. Truck was fine and return was easy until I get a call the next day asking me when I'm going to return the truck. I tell her it was returned yesterday and that I only used it for a couple hours. I then call the location and have to redial 5 times before the gentleman from the previous day picks up. I tell him about the call and he tells me the truck is checked in, everything is good and to disregard the call. I start to thank him and he hangs up on me. Not using this location again as they don't have their ducks in order.MATTHEW N.

Upon getting in rental there were roaches and dead bugs in floor in front . When sitting at the light after pulling off roaches was crawling from the roof . I tried several times calling the store location no response , I was able to get ahold of customer service elsewhere they advised me to call store during business hours . She also stated she put a note in for the location to call me as well . I never received call . Do you guys spray or check for bugs when vans are returned ? I'm assuming the people before me could have had them and never was treated or reported . I ended up not using the van and just kept until returning time . I was afraid to put my belongings in the truck and cautions to not transport any bugs in my home .Arianne F.

I would recommend U-Haul for truck rental. There are no frills and the service wasn't great. There were cigarette ashes in the cupholders of the truck. We were supposed to have two utility dollies in the truck when we picked it up. When we got home to open the truck, there were no utility dollies present. Called the number listed online and the gentleman said "well go back and get them." We live close enough to the New Circle Road location that it wasn't a huge deal but still very inconvenient. The truck served its purpose and that's all we needed but everything else was sub par. Also wanted to purchase more moving boxes when we returned the truck and after waiting inside of the building for 7 minutes with no employee at the desk, we just left. Again, we needed a truck to move some belongings to our new home and it served that purpose.Brian G.

The after-hours return process is extremely tedious. Very frustrating. Also, signage as to exactly where to return truck is unclear, once you get to the back of the building. Either the dashboard lights in the truck didn't work, or I was unable to find the control. Service at pickup time was excellent.ROY H.

Did not set up auto pay like I agreed to. Nearly had my items auctioned. Had to complete another move in agreement as they moved me out of my unit the same day I loved in. Every time I would go to the unit a second lock was on and no one could tel me why. Horrible management. Doesn't return calls. I have to ratings My pick up and my drop off My pick up was friendly, maybe not the ideal uhaul, but I would still go back My drop off in Lexington was the worse, after I stored my load, I drove back toward the office where I saw I guy sitting and I asked do I turn it in here,, now my car was still attached to dolly, and he said drop off is here you have to go all the way around the building to here, so I did, when I got out and he was still sitting down, took him 5 mins to get up and come over to me. He then said are you going to unload your car here, you could have did it there and pointed to where I asked him if this was the drop off, so now I'm getting upset, so I said, I asked you when I was there, we are all standing there, finally I said when are you going to take the car off the dolly or do you want me to move the truck again? He said that isn't my job it your job, no it isn't I didn't put it on I'm not taking it off, that's your job. So now he is loud and I'm loud, the other guy that was there said I'm getting the manager, so she comes and takes the side of her crew and said did you pay to have it taken off. You didn't even asked what happened the the rudeness of you employees. Again I didn't put the car on and I will not take it off! So she said she was calling the cops, ok call them they are going to make you take the car off the dolly, I then called customer service and complain and going to call the other number she gave me and complain to corporate. So while I'm on the cell with customer service they unhook the car half way and tell me to take it off their dolly and leave property. Now my biggest problem is about to happen. I get into the car and try to drive it off and your professional uhaul employees didn't unhook my car and my car was damaged by the dolly being still attached to my car. I will now have to go to a competitor and get a truck and a storage locker, because I do not want any of my money to go to that location or your business in Lexington, Ky.Amy Dawn J. | Premières impressions
