Was not impressed by Amanda or her "co-worker" I arrived just after 8AM, seems she was still opeing the store. Waited for her to do so. Whole time we set up agreement, Amanda was answering question from co-worker - Agreement stated 1/2 tank gas, was not correct, it was between 3/8 and 1/2. I had to take a pic and reenter store. I estomated driving 170 miles. I ended up driving 168 miles. I returned the truck with a solid to over 1/2 tank and was still charged another $4.70 cents. I thought i shouled have been given a credit of $1.58. On two occassions I tried to call the "store" thought I may have left my sungleaases. It both cases was not possible to do so. Even with a local number. Not good CS. Your a big company and run things veru efficiently for you and your busioness. Not very good for customer interactions and satisifaction.

I was charged twice for wrapping paper. And then I was called a few days after I had returned the rental, and left a Voice message that if I did not return the truck it will be reported stolen and I would be charged additional days. I had already returned the truck a few days prior. Not sure what the miss understanding was, but that phone call was unacceptable since I had already rented the rental truck. I was not pleased. I feel that before calling a customer, uhual should check their inventory to make sure the truck was actually returned.

Prior location that we were supposed to pick truck up from called on Friday and said they had no truck and were unwilling to help us locate a new one. Location we picked truck up from was very friendly.

I attempted to perform mobile pick up so i did not have to wait in the excruciating slow line inside that the employees seemed to not care about. I did the mobile pick up per instructions on my phone until the keybox that was EMPTY!!! In the rain I had to walk inside, wait 20 minutes, and finally get the piece of shit truck. The truck oil pressure light comes on during accelerating and the pressure would drop to zero. Not that I care because its not my truck but I am sure uhaul would try to screw me over somehow if it did seize the engine. Needless to say, I will never use this shit hole location with uncaring slow employees that would dont even attempt to give the appearance of giving a shit.

Stop charging people that ridiculous price for gas especially when it comes back to you with the same amount of gas as when rented. You are absurd in your policies.

The uhaul guy took my 4flat adapter my last visit, this guy was nice and gave me one. Same location 2 days apart. Afterall I did pay almost 13 bucks for it. This same location the guy I returned to told me to go grab a broom, I responded no, because this gravel and dirt in the trailer was there when I rented this 6x12 utility trailer! They also charged me for a 6x12 with a ramp when that's not what they had to give me, even tho thats what I reserved! This place needs help! I try to avoid this location but apparently nobody else has these trailers!

The person at the counter named Dyamond was so confusing. She kept looking at her phone and reading texts messages mid conversation. She also wasn’t speaking clearly at all and I had to beg her repeatedly to speak up. She didn’t seem to care if I knew anything about what to do and didn’t show me which uhaul to take or anything. She made me feel like I was dumb asking all the necessary questions but had no desire to help.

tHE TRUCK TURNED OUT TO HAVE NO AIR CONDITIONING, SO i SWEATED FOR THE 5 DAYS i USED IT. Had trouble going through the Appellation mountains, top speed of 35 mph going up a hill - Monster gas guzzler. $150 to get from Lexington to Norfolk

I had issues with the pick-up (community associate) and the staff at this location were incredibly helpful. Took the time to listen to concerns and made sure I was well informed with my options to voice my opinion further. Also very prompt with the drop off. Much appreciated.

After my experience, I would recommend AGAINST U-haul. I had a truck reserved at a location for 8am. U-Haul suddenly changed my reservation to 6pm at a different location. When I called about it, they said there was nothing that could be done it was a busy weekend. Well, that’s not my problem considering I had reserved the truck weeks in advance. They ended up moving it up to 2:15pm but that was still not the time I had reserved it for. (I had reserved it WEEKS in advance for 8am). When I arrived to pick my truck up at 2:15pm, I was informed that the truck I was supposed to get was infested with roaches and I would be downgraded to a 10ft truck instead of what I had originally RESERVED (15 ft truck). I was unable to get all of my stuff in one trip as originally planned. Due to scheduling conflicts, I will have to go back and move the other stuff at a later date. And to top it all off, the drop off location was marked incorrectly in google maps and I had trouble finding that as it was also not marked clearly. To say I am MAD and DISGUSTED with my experience is an understatement. I have used U-Haul before and never had any problems. But I can promise, I will recruit against it from now on. Also, your customer service sucks. You call to talk to someone and you are on hold >20 minutes every time you call. Absurd and ridiculous. Never will I use U-Haul again.

I wasn’t given all of the correct information and was charged for 2 moving periods worth of time when returning the U-Haul after hours. When I reported that there was confusion I was told I’d receive a phone call within 48 hours and it’s now been 5 days. The people at the location are very nice, but I wasn’t able to have a conversation with them

I had the unfortunate need of renting a trailer and once again the only place that had one available was this location. It is truly a miserable experience dealing with the staff here...my 4th or 5th time doing so and only because no other Uhaul facility in town has equipment available. On this trip I had hoped that by fully completing the online express check-in I might save myself some time and interaction with the staff but sadly no. There was one person in front of me who unfortunately had not completed any paperwork in advance and was constantly being berated by the sour customer service rep working the desk that acts like we've come to her home and interrupted her dinner. Thankfully I never saw the general manager/owner (Mr. Washington I think) as its clear from his demeanor and attitude where the rest of the workers get their attitudes. I arrived at 5pm to get my trailer and finally was able to pull away from the lot and on my way around 6pm...pretty standard for these guys. Of course they still started the clock on my 6 hour rental at 5pm when I checked in online although I was never waited on until 5:30 and of course it took 30 minutes of clickety-click on the keyboard before I could get my equipment...so much for the express online check in feature saving time even with a credit card entered. Oh well...hopefully it will be at least another 3-4 years before I have to use their service again...maybe another franchise will open up.

My UHAUL experience was absolutely horrible. The day before my move, someone called me and told me they were switching my picking up location and the size of my truck. Then that afternoon someone emailed me and told me they didn't have a truck for me at "this location" but didn't tell me which location that was, so I didn't know if it was the original location or the new location. That lady "Tabitha" from Winchester never replied to me. I called the original guy like 20 times, left a message, and texted him. No response to any of it. Spend 30 min on the phone with the UHAUL 800 number, get switched to 3 different people, then they tell me they have NO trucks in Lexington and I would have to drive 30 min to get one. Then finally gave me a 26 ft truck in Lexington when I requested a 10 ft truck. worst experience ever. I will NEVER use UHaul again and I am telling my friends and family not to use you as well.

I reserved an appliance dolly, but when I arrived at the location, they did not have any. It was explained to me that the website does not gauge availability of dollies during the reservation process, or make any attempt to reserve them. This dolly was the main reason I rented the trailer in the first place. You should consider updating the website in this regard.
