We reserved a unit a month in advance and were told the day we were moving in that the unit we reserved doesn’t exist, despite us calling the day prior to confirm. Then the unit was not the size we wanted but had no choice but to move in anyway. We asked for the price we reserved but were told that we would have to pay more. Then I look online and it’s more than the price that was quoted to us for the unit we moved into. NOT HAPPY

Initially booked pickup at a different location. U-Haul sent an email notifying me that they changed the pickup location AFTER I booked. The new location was 10 miles further from my home. I was not asked if this was ok. The change of pick-up notification letter was confusing. The notification of a changed location was buried in a dense paragraph so I did not notice. As a result, I ended up driving to the original pick-up location and then had to go the new location, Terrible customer service. The change of location should have been made clear so there would be no confusion. Someone should have CALLED me to tell me. Terrible policy and process. Why didn't U-Haul move the vehicle to the original pick-up location at their expense. I had to spend time, gas money, and waste reserved miles picking up the vehicle.

I already had a reservation booked and had to cancel. I rescheduled a reservation and was very disappointed that uhaul could not find me a bigger truck and a one way drop off. Was charged tremendously for mileage just to take truck back to pickup site. Very disappointed and the associate at the counter acted like he didn't want to be there. He made rude remarks that we racked up miles don't be mad about the cost. Worst experience I ever had and especially for this being the actual uhaul company and not a franchise. Very taken back by the rudeness and cost

Customer service training. We were standing in an empty store a guy comes out from the back and shouts to us "You need something?" later in the discourse, we say we would like a 12-foot truck, he responds "We don't have those" and shuts up, doesn't say a word for two minutes. Have you changed your customer interaction policies so that customers must announce their intentions, loudly, upon entering the store as well as have an intimate knowledge of U-Haul truck sizes?

Ordered two dozen moving pads. Movers start prepping and realize only five were actually on the truck. Called the location and after spending 45 minutes on hold was told that they were too busy to set them aside for me and that if I still wanted them I need to come back and stand in line.

Before the truck was dropped off, we had to complete the transaction with the moving help we had hired. They required the payment code, which I was not able to find in the reservation email, and the U-Haul site would not allow me to access it in my browser. I also called the U-Haul customer service line for assistance, but the representative told me he wasn't able to provide the payment code, either. He transferred me to the Moving Help line, which went to voicemail. The moving help employees were kept waiting for over 20 minutes while I tried to access the code, which I finally only managed to do via browser on a laptop. The U-Haul app did not work at all for this. This was not our original drop-off location, either. It was changed when we picked up the last-minute replacement truck in the morning, to a store further away from where we unloaded the truck. The staff were helpful accepting the check-in although we arrived right at closing time.

The customer parking is located next to the drop off area. When the people pull in to drop off it blocks the other customers from pulling out. One truck blocked three customer cars. The customer in front of us had to come back in and ask an employee to move the truck. The employee was very quick to move the truck after locating the other customer dropping off in line and obtaining the keys. A suggested improvement is to relocate the customer parking away from the drop off point.

I tried to use your app to check out online. Everything went fine (photos of the drivers license etc.) until it needed 2 additional things from a list of 4 or 5 (contact, alternate contact, passport etc.). I entered first contact info ok, then entered alternate contact info which it wouldn't accept without any explanation. I tried 3 different alternate contacts with no success, finally masked up and went in to do the checkout in person (starting over with drivers license etc.). Huge waste of my time! Also, my 2 cents on "contact info" - if I was going to steal your equipment, would I give you valid contact info of people to harass about it ?

Quite old trucks and unreliable .Very rude customer service. The old guy charged me for extra day just for returning trucks 20 mins late which I already notified them with a phone call . Disgusting part is the rudeness aspect when I explained / requested the guy to wave the 2nd day fee . Total on the invoice went from $76 to $119 which is absurd

My truck reservation was canceled several times. I spent hours on hold getting bounced around to several staff, none of whom could help, many of whom were rude. I've moved with U Haul several times, this experience was TERRIBLE!

No problems with pick up. However returning trailers after hours and using the "Return Equipment" feature was a terrible experience. The feature failed to complete the Return, customer service kept me on hold and after 15 minutes I'd had enough waiting. I made sure to clean and park trailer in the exact spot that John my pick up rep told me to. The entire site is lit up like a Christmas Tree at night with security cameras all over the site, so they can check when equipment was returned. My major problem with UHaul the company is that they need a backup trailer return process for when their app fails. My problem with the Norristown location is that they failed to simply go outside and review the equipment that had been returned during the night. I did recieve a call from Norristown, making me aware that that their system showed I had not returned the trailer. I called.back three times trying to speak with someone at the Norristown location to let them know it had been parked in the back of the store the entire time. However each time I ended up speaking to a scheduling rep, who would "send the site a message" with my details of the trailer return. I will thank Frank the manager for issuing me a return on the overcharged second day, but I cant imagine I'm the first person this has happened to. I think Norristown needs an in-person quick check of all equipment returned from the previous night when they open first thing in the morning.

At pick up, That John guy, the older guy, gave us a hard time for no reason. We were just trying to get a vehicle. He was in a rush or something. No questions answered. Every question was answered sarcastically or not at all. At drop off, he wouldn't even let us pay 1400 we owed. He yelled at us for parking it wrong. Or for even asking questions. He told us to pay online. We never got a link to pay. Just a picture of it with amount. The other skinnier older man is a bit better at customer service. This place sucks.

Give me a partial refund. This location was fine but my issue is with the company overall. I was told last minute about the change in location pick up after I made this reservation 2 weeks in advance. I get a last minute change which was a major inconvenience to the schedule of my day because the new location was so far out of the way. No phone call no email. When I called the scheduling department the girl gave me a bad attitude and could care less. I stated I didn't receive a text and she argued with me instead of working with me. Every time I call I stay on hold for at least 10 minutes. This experience was not good because of the way this change was taken care of and I of course still have to pay full price. But if I don't keep my end of the deal I get charged. It's a one way street with this place. And nothing will ever get done about it

It is really frustrating that when you call a location to figure out a problem )like my problem which was getting my ubox to the correct location) it takes you to corporate or somewhere else than the location that you are trying to contact. Therefore you talk to a different person every time you call. That makes it very difficult to get the problem resolved. Each person you talk to gives a different answer and I was told multiple times I would get a call back to receive an answer from a different department and I never got any calls forcing me to go to the location multiple times to force the problem to be resolved. In the end my ubox was delivered a week late. Also I would suggest that when reserving the pick up and drop off locations for the ubox you only provide the options of locations that deal with the uboxes. My pick up location changed the day before I was supposed to pick it up because the location that was provided and I choose did not have uboxes.

Reserving a vehicle online was Terrible. Each screen prompted me to buy more things: Supplies, helpers, etc. and it was difficult to find the small blue font link that allowed me to go onto the next page of the "Checkout." For that kind of aggravation and wasted time, you should offer a 10% discount for making the reservation online.

My only suggestion would be to make the check-in process a little easier for customers that are doing everything on their phone. Specifically, have customers take the needed photos, i.e. license photo, and provided any needed documentation ahead of time for approval instead of doing all of that on site.
