One of the worst Uhauls I've ever experienced. The UHaul I drove should be decommissioned. Driver's side door did not even close shut because it was broken. The truck had 160k+ miles on it and drove terribly. Lift gate in back would constantly get jammed. Terrible experience

I reached at this location around 2:30 PM and waited for service until 20 mins. There were 3 employees at reception who walked in after I had waited, of which one them Ariah was very rude. He asked me if I had a booking in the past and when I confirmed that I had one but had to cancel due to bad weather he insisted that I make another online booking. I asked if I could be served at the counter but he rudely mentioned that he cannot help me and I should do it online. There were 2 other employees sitting idle at the reception counter in front of their computers who were idle and watching this but did not help me. When I questioned them for Ariah's rude behavior, I was told that he was busy and I was asking a busy person. I believe if someone is busy they ask others to help the customer instead he said he will not give me service if I don't reserve a vehicle online. My only question to U-haul is why do you hire people who don't want to serve customers in person and treat them with respect. I will NEVER go to this U-haul location and socialize this incident on Twitter and Facebook . I also pray that these selfish people get a taste of their own bitter talk, in fact they will! what goes around comes around. From U-haul's end I would expect to take disciplinary action at this location for employees who don't take in person reservations just because they don't want to or feel they are busy while other employees sit idle at their desk. Appreciate your support.

Nothing the skip the line app worked perfectly , once I got there it was about 20 people in front of me but when I logged into the app I skipped to the front of the line. Thanks for making my much easier!!!

I rented a 20', and it was down sized to a 15' the day before scheduled pick up. There were 20' trucks there when I picked up 15'. Most likely will only use Uhaul as last resort in future.

Waiting an hour to get the truck I had reserved, being misgendered and deadnamed despite legal name change, and overall incompetence of the staff really made me dislike this location. I'll be using a different location for future rentals. Severely disappointed.

You are asking us to rate the locations but not *your* service: We reserved our U-Haul 2 months in advance. The night before we were set to pick up our U-Haul in Charlottesville VA, we received an email stating that our location was changed to 2 hours away from Charlottesville to a location in West Virginia, which would require a 4 hour round trip drive to pick it up on top of the 8 hour round trip drive back and forth the Charlottesville. This last minute change kept us on the phone for an hour. No one with any authority to resolve the matter was available. Tough luck was the response. We were left having to reserve a trailer instead of a 10' truck. Our drop off location was also changed at the last minute, which required a 90-minute round trip instead of the 10 minute away location we reserved. This service is very poor. With 2 months' notice, you should be able to confirm equipment and location at the time of booking without last minute changes and no one available with any authority to resolve the matter.

The inside of the store was extremely well organized and the general manager Mr. Hall was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I had an issue with my rental, I picked the wrong size trailer, he made everything right in about five minutes. He went above and beyond, the true meaning of customer service, I haven't experienced that in a while.

Both the local uhaul and national uhaul put me on hold for 40+ minutes. Local store definitely under staffed.

Staff slow and having personal conversations while a long line of customers were waiting. 2 out of three Salespersons were wearing AirPods or earphones. The vehicle that I rented wreaked of cigarette smoke. The left turn signal on the vehicle was not working properly.

Response time was slow. We ordered a dolly and it wasn't in the truck and we had to wait extra long to get it added. We checked in properly and they called over an hour later asking where our vehicle was.

We were unable to open Side door of cargo van. The alarm kept coming on to alert us that the back door was open when it wasn't. Desk clerk told us gas tank was a half full but it was under. We drove a total of 37,2 miles and when we filled up before return, we paid 36 but the gauge never moved beyond just under half full we stopped filling. So that would mean we were average 4,5 miles a gallon which I find unlikely. More is is that that gas gauge was broken and no matter how much we filled it, it woukd never rise more than slightly below half. I dissuaded this with the desk cler,k, Frank who seemed incapable of understanding what I was telling him. He did say that particular van halots of problems and had been found crashed on the side of the road somewhere. Very disappointing experience

I reserved a 26 ft. Truck for a one way move. I waited in line for 30 minutes to find out my truck hadn't been returned yet. I was forced to rent a truck that had to be returned there. I had to drive an empty truck 125 miles back to return, and pay gas and mileage. You can't count on U-HAUL any more!!! Soo unreliable. Staff was very nice and helpful though.

I understand that everywhere is short staffed, but the wait was RIDICULOUS!! It wasn't fair to us whom made reservations with a time slot to pick up our vehicles to have to WAIT while ppl that were getting propane tanks were served. Now I'm out of 30-45 minutes. But had I returned that vehicle late I would've been charged. You really should consider designating certain ppl for certain things. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that felt this way cause a good 4-5 of us was waiting in line.

Power steering on truck not good. Charged fuel charge at checkout in error. On the receipt they noted I returned the truck with 1/8th of gas when I returned it with 1/4 of gas. Good thing is customer service took care of it.

Labeling the trailers with the actual dimensions would be helpful. 4' x 7' utility trailer actually measures about 9” short of 4' wide (closer to 3 x7?) Waste of an hour of my time and a few bucks but I guess I should've asked for actual measurements.

I rented 10' truck for a specific purpose, to move big / heavy items. I ordered an appliance dolly with my truck, several days before the move. When I went to pickup the truck, they had no appliance dolly. Making it impossible to complete the move I had planned. Unfortunately, I had an arrangement to purchase these large items, and had traveled to come pick them up. Needless to say it'll be hard to trust Uhual in the future. There are many logistics they goes into a move. You should have to worry about equipment that was previously ordered.

After having my furniture stored there for extended period I was worried that there would be some kind of damage...closed in smells, pest etc. My furniture and boxed items came out the same way they went in. Damage, odor and pest free.

We reserved a unit a month in advance and were told the day we were moving in that the unit we reserved doesn't exist, despite us calling the day prior to confirm. Then the unit was not the size we wanted but had no choice but to move in anyway. We asked for the price we reserved but were told that we would have to pay more. Then I look online and it's more than the price that was quoted to us for the unit we moved into. NOT HAPPY
