Sometimes essential equipment or accessories paid for, need to be checked before rental trucks leave the property. I rented a Uhaul dolly with the rental, and it was not in the truck. It was a busy Saturday, so I was not sure if that us the customers responsibility on departure. Overall, a great rental experience. -Paul Chavez

I hate coming to this location. You can always plan on at least a 15-20 minute wait just to ask a question. They answer the phone and answer questions, but this location seems to be poorly run. After we filled out all the paperwork--which I had done online--and they couldn't find, we had to wait another 10 minutes to get our trailer hooked up because it was so congested in the parking lot. This is not a well-oiled machine.

Tried booking a truck online then headed to the store to be told they had nothing available. Thats when the upsell started. The same truck that was 'unavailable' could be if I wanted to pay more o_O. Passed that offer and requested a booking at a location that had the truck 15' available for pickup and was told I would be contacted shortly there after. Got called by a nice young lady who basically said the Trucknis available in the morning at the same now closed location I started for what was supposed to be the initial price expected.... Go figure. We'll long story longer the total cost of the adventure including paying for items that literally come with the truck e.g. Dolly and blankets swelled to well over 5x the presented price. Fool me once.... There won't be a 2nd time.

The on-site team was really good. My problem was with the online booking system. I made an online reservation for an after hours pick up and it never registered on the online system, though every time I talked to a representative (4 or 5 times!) they found the reservation. I finally changed via a representative to a reservation during open hours. When I arrived I learned that had been booked wrong, versus what the representative explained!! Luckily he on site team was able to take care of it. DO NOT RECOMMEND THE ONLINE SYSTEM. VERY TROUBLESOME

First off my reservation was for a 1 way and they told me they dont have any 1 way. After talking to transportation manager they said i can get a 1 way trailer from a different location 1 hour away. I said no. I told them give me the in town trailer and I will bring it back. After 45 minutes i had the in town trailer and bringing it back as i said i could do from the beginning. They were busy and dealing with some rude people. Nice staff working at the location.

I set up express pickup, but my assigned truck was not there. I waited while they got another truck ready for me. I drove 20 miles and put $8 worth of fuel. When I returned the truck they said I owed money for fuel. I went and added more fuel and realized the fuel gauge was not working.

I reserved a truck and specified 24hours specifically so that I could make a trip the next morning and then return it. Upon getting the truck I was told “well too bad, because I have to return it by 9am rather than the time I booked it for” because someone else was renting it the next. I was further told that if I did not have the truck back then I would be charged additional fees and for another rental period, despite the fact that it was still within the specific hours I rented it for. I have rented trucks and trailers for years for my business and never have a had a such a rude experience. The guy who helped me was rude, and even had the audacity to say that “if I called in the morning and was nice to home, he may let me have the truck FOR THE TIME I BOOKED AND PAID FOR”

Perform a mechanical check before you release the vehicles to customer. Experienced a tire blow out on the highway due to the exhaust pipe being bent and heating the tire which caused it to explode.

Nice people but HORRIBLE service. Went in to buy boxes and made reservation for truck at that time to move my son out of college. Also, rented a storage unit. Truck reservation wrong so had to call and correct when got home and read email with bad info. Paid 100 deposit when got truck and never received the check in email and was told we would be refunded when truck checked in. They were too busy so I said I could wait til next day. Called next day and manager told me we didn't have to wait - but he would call me back - at this point I still hadn't received my check in email. Never got a call back from the manager so my husband had to go in to store to get remainder of deposit refunded and find out why we didn't get check in receipt email. He waited in line for 20 minutes or so and then someone came out from back of store and gave him refund in 3 seconds. I was patient and understanding as they were very busy the day that we got our truck (mother's day) but when the manager didn't call me back the next morning when I called (at 730 after they opened at 7) and my husband had to leave work early to go find out what was going on at 220pm without call back or emailed receipt, that was unacceptable. Again, very nice people working at this store but I will never go back. We rented a storage unit for the month at this facility for my college aged son and I wish I had gone somewhere else. I think my complaint is at the manager - very poorly run business.

Please improve your "express" check out option. I stood in the parking lot for nearly 20 minutes in the rain waiting for all of your prompts to be processed and accepted. Most of that could be completed and reviewed before I even show up at the store to get the truck. This all comes after the truck I reserved at 8AM wouldn't let me check in to get it until 9AM somehow. Not a great pickup experience.

When I picked up my trailer I was asked to insert my debit card in the terminal. I entered my pin, etc. I thought I had prepaid for my trailer. When I turned it in I was asked to pay for it, I thought again. I would suggest that it be made clear to a customer that the initial card processing was only for a deposit or hold. There was no discussion of this at all when I picked up the equipment.

The app is good until it sends you a confirmation code---you put that in--when you create an account. There seems to be no instructions on what to do after you put the code in. It took me 3 times to figure it out. It made a duplicate reservation.

When I arrived the two guys at the front desk were talking and not really attentive to the arriving client. They seams to be just playing or watching something on the cellphone. Before getting my truck I asked to please remove the dolly and the blankets because they were in my way for the planed cargo and they refused to remove the blankets. When the assigned driver went to the back to get my truck he returned driving it like crazy: Running in the parking lot like it was the highway and passing the truck over the road bumps like if they were not there... Finally hard stopping at the waiting point. I take more care of the truck even that is not mine, but this guy was driving it showing zero respect for the road safety and zero respect for the truck mechanical integrity.

Third time renting from uhaul. Trailer had no tie downs, wiring was torn up be opening door. Attempted to fix, but still didn't work 100%. New employee stood around and watched and wouldn't even help another employee manually move another trailer. Took way too long to get in-out with the rental. Rented from one location, but you switched pickup locations without calling me. BIG inconvenience. Will rent from someone else next time.

The drop-off location was shocked that a trailer of this size was hooked up to my car without asking me to get a transmission cooler, or some such, on my auto due to the size. They were emphatic about this need and also the fact that my transmission did not fail on this long haul. I was not given the materials I paid for either. I was told they were in the trailer, not so. I called immediately to have them removed from my bill, but that did not happen until I arrived at the drop off location.

Since I was just recovering from surgery your people were very kind and helpful in making sure that I had the correct trailer for the job. I tried to use the Uhaul app to pick up the truck. That was my first mistake. When I could not get it to recognize the location, I waited in line while 2 Uhaul employees were inventorying items on display and a 3rd was waiting on the customer that was already there. Of course the employee that was waiting on the first customer told me that I would have to wait until he got the truck ready for the customer he was already waiting on. The other 2 employees continued with their inventory work. Finally another employee arrived at the desk and I tried to ask him for help since the app was not working. It was obvious that it was close to quitting time for this guy because he wanted nothing to do with assisting me. He tells me in a very dismissive way to use the web page rather than the app. That does actually work but then I have to provide phone numbers of 2 other people that they can all in order to verify who I am even after I already sent them a picture of myself and my drivers license. After that debacle, they sent me on a search for a truck number that did not exist on the lot. After walking all around the building and finding no such truck, naturally I have to go back to the guy that had no interest in anything except leaving. He then told me that of course the truck was out there and and he pointed to one side of the building. I went out there again to find no truck with the number and of course went back to tell him this was the case. When I returned to the office, the guy that I was trying to get help from had disappeared. I had to wait until he returned but he did he started waiting on another customer despite the fact that I was standing there obviously with no truck. When I told him that the truck was still not there, he was miffed and said he would be with me in a minute after he waited on the other customer. I am glad someone there was actually getting some help. When he was done with that customer, he went outside in a huff looking for the truck. I followed and met him as he was coming back in from the truck with the wrong number stating that the truck with the wrong number was the correct truck. I of course tried to reason that since the numbers did not match what I was given, it was NOT the right truck. We finally settled on that truck of course but the truck had another truck parked right behind. When I pointed this out right after he was out there looking at these trucks, he was again miffed that I could not just drive around the truck that was parked right behind it. He asked if I wanted him to pull the truck out so I said sure. He went back out to the truck and of course had to go back to get the key for the truck that was behind my incorrectly numbered truck. He then backed the truck out and parked it on the street. When I told him that the truck he was giving me did not match the pictures of the truck that I was being given that the truck I was getting had damage on it that the other truck did not have, he was again taken aback.

Reserved a truck at los Rios location. The day I suppose to pick up the truck. They called and said they didn’t have a truck. Had to go out of my way to get a truck. Still got charged for the miles to get the truck that was out of my way. They said they couldn’t find a truck anywhere close to where I was going to need the truck. In the future I will go with a different company to rent a truck.
