They tacked on 135 miles onto the mileage and overcharged me $145. I can't believe how they justify an in-city move where I only traveled AT MOST 10 MILES. The same thing happened to me in 2011.
RATS!! Everything else was great. But the lady beside me and mine had rat droppings all over.
It was a little overwhelming driving up. Trucks everywhere and no where for a customer to park. The front should be welcoming and inviting with places to park.
servers were down when i picked up the truck and i had to stand in line for over an hour. then, i was charged twice.

Typically need more people inside helping customers. The young lady who was working the counter was great. She was courteous and very helpful, but the man working inside was rude and useless. He ignored customers who were waiting in line while he worked on the computer. The truck that was reserved for me was out of gas and the young lady went out of her way to go and find another truck for me and was great. I never saw the man inside help one person. It took me 45 minutes to get out of the store and i had a reservation with a self check in.
I was there to pick up my reservation and it wasnt even ready i had to go knock on their doors after hours and employees kept saying we are closed untill i mentioned i had a reservation and i couldnt find keys to truck then i needed to extend my reservation qnd i kept beign on hold on lin3 and they would juat hanging up on me so i couldnt extend my reservation untill uhaul actually called me to see if i had returned truck on time.
The gentlemen who checked me out was rude and provided misleading information about fees and the after hours return process. The lady who processed my return was delightful.
the one thing that was a problem at both locations ...the staff was not taking the virus and its dangers seriously. they were not wearing masks and were not keeping their distance.
Ugh U-Haul gets you with the .79c per mile. Something being $30 easily turns into 100. I hate that.

Waited in line for over an hour. I had an online reservation and checkin. The truck had dirt in it. I completely forgot to look at the mileage when I turned it in. I was charged for 100 miles (exactly 100). Considering the storage unit I went to was 3.7 and the house was 15, Iâ€™m not sure how that equals 100. Then I got a call 3 hours after I returned the truck asking when I would be returning the truck. I was told they would look for the truck and call back to say they found it. That never happened. Iâ€™m not exactly sure how the numbers on my receipt add up to the total I was charged.
Apparently parts of the system were down Saturday 5/30/20. I say apparently because we couldn't get an explanation for why we couldn't check in using the app as planned and why we had to wait in line for 1.25 hours to get our rental truck. I explained to the manager that making an announcement every few minutes would be help customers feel informed and cared about. The manager lied and claimed he had been making such announcements. If so, he was doing it in tones outside the capability of human ears to hear because my husband and I didn't hear anything from any employee for our entire wait in line. Upon returning the truck Sunday, 5/31/20, there again was a long SLOW line. Luckily our returned truck was blocking a vehicle that an employee from another location needed to move. So, he checked us out using his phone. Otherwise, we would have been in for another hour plus wait in a black hole of information. So, I learned to drive out of my way to avoid this place unless I want to feel ignored, ignorant, and unwanted.
Staff in a very crowded waiting room was not wearing masks. Wait was well over 40 minutes to pick up a trailer that I had already checked in online beforehand. The only reason that it wasn't longer was that I had cash and the location was not able to process credit cards. Experience was very frustrating and DANGEROUS! I have managed to stay out of crowded conditions where people weren't wearing masked for the last 2 1/2 months until I was forced into this or have to cancel my move. Ridiculous.
I had a reservation that I made a week in advance and the truck I reserved was not available. And I did not receive the $50 promised if the truck you reserved was not available.
1.first agent at the site called me a lier stated i was contacted by uhaul and was informed my truck was moved; When i told them i was never contact she followed with Yes its noted they contacted you. I never received a called or emailed. 2. I was moved to a location 14 miles awayÂ after i confirmed my truck. 3.I was told i acknowledged online the truck was not available after a few exchanged words, I was hung up on. (My print out confirmed pick up for the location i chose night another location). 4. When i did get someone that knew how to do their job and got my truck situation handled. The lady at the desk was on a video chat the whole time i was trying to pick up the truck and when the person asked to call her back she said no you good im not doing anything. 5. A Supervisor attempt to pacify my complaints by telling me oh she new she didnt mean to hang up. Lol a world wind of a shit show with U-haul trucking. I do thank the last last rep i spoke ro for handling the situation.
As always, this location was outstanding in all ways.
Truck made whining noise every time drove over 50 mph.
It was rather frustrating that my original reservation that was made more than a week in advance was cancelled the day of by an individual at the 8th street location. Fortunately, an individual at the Greenville location was helpful and was able to create a new reservation and find the equipment I needed to rent.
Everything went great. Thanks to Rob, assistant manager and Errol who gave an excellent customer service. They reminded me whatâ€™s your company about, serving people.
Please get someone to help Olivia in the office more. That poor girl be dealing with all the check ins and people. She does it well and still polite. Everyone was polite.
I searched online for a location that had my hitch in stock and could install ASAP. I prepaid $340 and made an appointment for 1:30pm. When I arrived at 1:15, it took 10 minutes for anyone to show up. Then I was informed that there was no one on site capable of installing the hitch. Why would you take my money and allow me drive 30 miles only to not hold up your end of the deal? I ended up having to rent a truck to get the job done. Thatâ€™s $75 I spent that I canâ€™t recoup. Very disappointing.
